I don't even know what those Slack trolls are talking about.. you don't 'own' ICNp by holding ICN. ICNp is its own fund. You can only own ICNp by holding an ICNp token. Holding ICN only entitles you to 20% of ICNp profits.
Looks like once again, the trolls over on Slack have spread some misinformation which some gullible poor guy took to be official news.

Yeah, those guys on Slack are nothing but trolls. Take what they say with a grain of salt. I don't know any of those user names, but none of them are with the developer team.

I am holding! I will sell only if ICN reaches 10$
I don't believe it ever will, but even if why would you sell at all ? If ICN was so high, it would be for a reason, for example because would pay good dividends from fees. Let's make calculations for ICN to reach 10$, what investment volume would it need. For pessimistic scenario where total fund performance is 0% or negative, that would require an annual volume of: ( https://medium.com/@FutureIsNow/iconomi-profits-estimation-5dba0fa96b6c#.i283sh6r2) (X*0.01)/100M ICN = 10$; X = (10*100M)/0.01 = 100 KKK$ If investors are expecting 100% ROI after 3 years that would require 33.(3)KKK annual investment volume. For comparison total cryptocurrency market Cap: $23KKK ( https://coinmarketcap.com/) So investment volume would have to reach ~1.4x what all cryptos all worth right now. So yeah we will not see this happening any time soon. There is one fatal miscalculation on your part. You assume markets behave rationaly.

That's actually a cool article you posted. It sums up the current state of affairs: Despite the fact that that ICN -0.15% got no pump during this recent bull run on basically all the alt coins out there, the fundamentals have not changed, i'm still holding and i'm gonna do it until 10$ but that's not what most people want because it is at least 2 year away.
Is funny how people are waiting for etf's here and there when they got a fund out of SEC approval right in their faces, ICN -0.15% is not just a coin that sits in the portfolio and does noting, you can see it as shares in the company since your're going to receive weekly dividends ( to get them you have to hold min 42ICN in your ether wallet) ; this project is a bit more complicated at first glance because we talk about ICN -0.15% , ICNx and ICNp which are 3 different things. And later on the OFM platform ( open fund management ) This project is due to news in 2-3 weeks, ICNx is about the launch the beta phase, if people would do their research ICN -0.15% would be at 1.4$ by now but at some point they will, it's inevitable, meanwhile is a screaming BUY.

ICN = shares in all Iconomi funds. Entitle you to a percentage of profits which are generated from platform fees. ICNx = Iconomi index fund. An index representing growth in reputable Crypto currencies ICNp = Iconomi performance fund. An actively managed fund focusing on performance.

Geez chill guys. Price is double what it was 3.5 months ago.

That's a close translation Daparski. But I popped it into google translate and this is what I got: "I am upset that Iconomi didn't pump like everything else so I will blame it on the developers"

Just reached $0.27
What the FUCK!?
I'm tired of seeing red, 11 days remaining till their deadline.
Where did you read that Q1 was a deadline for public release?
Here is a quote from the article you cited:
The more traditionally developed ICONOMI platform will make its first limited public release in about a month, and then gradually add on additional features over the coming months until the full platform is ready.
The way I interpret this, they are calling the beta a limited public release. And in that regard, they have already met their goal.
Also, nowhere in the article is it mentioned March 31st as a deadline for anything.
on the https://www.iconomi.net/ its written : COMING EARLY 2017 on the left after header description does Q2 include word early at this case ? ? I didn't mean in my post that it would not launch in Q1. I only meant to say that it wasn't an official deadline. It could launch in Q1, but I do not know for sure. I just don't want the price to dump on March 31st because of a fake rumor. By the rate people are getting beta access I'd say it's coming along smoothly.
i hope they dont lie about the Q1 2017 timeline and tokens profits distribution
Iconomi has never said that the public launch of the ICNX platform would be Q1. Where did you get that information specifically?
ICNX has not been launched yet? What are the launch timelines?
There is no hard deadline. But it has been in beta since February 28 so it is anybody's guess. How long do video game beta tests usually last?

Can someone with beta post a picture of the ICNX chart? I would like to see how the index is doing.
http://imgur.com/a/rTRK2wasnt price something like 0,29$ in the middle of the day? Are you confusing the price of ICN with ICNX? ICN has been hovering around $.30.

Where can i find the index? With site? Thanks
Only the beta testers can see it right now but they can show pictures of it: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FOqrG5Ul.png&t=663&c=QFKBjvCtM6-s2g) WOW.

As an ICO investor I went ALL IN on this project, spent a lot of time with due diligence, research, and analyzing what I believe to be their short and long term strategy. This isn't rocket science! There's no doubt in my mind that the Iconomi boys are grinding behind the scene doing what they have to do to make it happen. What they are trying to pull off takes time, today's price means nothing! Patience will be rewarded. I add to the stack when I can, long term HODLER. Received beta invite week or so ago, good stuff. These guys are professionals. Running the "forget I own them" strategy
Honestly, Iconomi is a good short term project, medium term project, and long term project. Like you say, what they are doing is not rocket science. They are trying to make people money. It should be a good investment no matter how long you hold it. The platform should be coming out pretty soon.

Either that or treat them as capital that were bought for $0.
What I am leaning towards doing is treating it as an income of $0. When I acquired Ardor it wasn't being traded anywhere and basically had a price of zero.
I received Ardor for holding NXT last year and I traded it for Bitcoin. Do I treat the resulting gain as income or as a capital gain? I live in the US.
