Perhaps this is not the best coin for Auto-Switching pools.  I believe that was the intent.

Yes. For the most part, auto-switching multi-pools are the antithesis of the collaborative community spirit needed for cryptocurrency survival.

Parasitic mining behavior rewards the miner alone, while returning zero benefit to the crypto ecosystem in which it feeds. Goldcoin welcomes, supports, and encourages, responsible mining behavior. This means caring about the condition of each individual network in which you participate and thus affect.

this coin is not good even for pools dedicated to it
im looking at a pool right now, hashfaster's, and basically someone must have been jumping in an out for a day cuz 70%+ are orphans
so ur coin should only be mined solo?
theres also a network u havent thought of as well, the ecosystem
u have basically made a coin that completely wastes hashing power, to try and save dumping of ur coin, instead of producing something that takes more out of that energy
energy that is 9/10 generated by power plants that pollute the environment
im not trying to troll i simply remember this coin from the other week and was thinking about it earlier today

and to the guy who commented on this being from 2013, yes i am new, since april, and there are more new ppl joining crypto everyday this is just what happens
i agree with you. shame your comment will be deleted

Heya

Just FYI that we've added GLD to be mined on our multipool: www.xpool.ca and miners have the option to keep their GLD just by entering their GLD address in their user settings.

Cheers!
Not good.  Ppl gonna earn less with so many orphans

337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 27, 2015, 05:21:43 PM

1999 why bother.

I will tell you why some people will pay that.

I can tell you if it can mine at the claimed power numbers you will still need six or seven cent power and under 1200 shipped to stand a chance to get your money back.

When grid seed blades came out people on site said wait I did wait and paid way under 3000 a machine.

I still lost money with them!
Great to see who bought them, what a joke, the price was already stupid and now it is full on ridiculous, just let zoom sit on them and hopefully no one buys one and they lose money.
They crazy LOL
cheaper to get from ali express even after duty tax
They probably don't care though about it, zoom is probably hashing at a super cheap price while they wait for sales. Definitely expect scrypt hashrate to increase a lot.
with LTC halving will be needed lol
but with so many coins that should affect prices that much not with this pricing

With duty tax and my current electricity 400 days for ROI just using scyrpt. So not very good. Problem with bitcoin is rising difficult and limited window to make any money hence i don't look at it.
Nice miner but too expensive.
If we're sold on eBay for 800-900 quid then yeah would get one but not 1300 after paying duty tax and courier and miner.
