321  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-09] Bitcoin Finally Cools After A Huge Pump on: December 10, 2017, 12:55:45 PM
This is all we have been waiting for, a healthy correction. I think all who bought at the peak of bitcoin is now hoping that the price will go up again. LOL. Let's us see, the price hike we have seen in recent days is driven by those financial institutions offering bitcoin futures, but what happen? We haven't started and yet we have seen this corrections? Where are those people buying without their logic? I guess this cool down just show how bitcoin is very unstable, but hey, this is a perfect opportunity to get in and buy bitcoin back. I'm pretty sure that by Monday bitcoin will be back again at $15,000++, when all of this future contracts starts. So just hold and see what's the sentiments going to be on start of next week.

Healthy correction? Grin
yes, it's a normal thing in the crypto market since bitcoin rise up significantly over $2000-$3000 within a day, simply because bitcoin gain so much attraction after reached $10,000 last week. But for now, all the coins price are declining, the market in bloodbath mode, following bitcoin to fall down.
Luckily for some people who can sold bitcoin at the peak, waiting a little bit and then buy back in the dip, easy profit.
There is no doubt about bitcoin price will be rebound again, whether on Monday or next week to recover and set the new level above $15,000.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: has trading become difficult? on: December 10, 2017, 11:37:37 AM
Actually, it's predictable due to the repeated cycle, whenever bitcoin reach the peaks, it will get corrected.
Look at altcoins prices, most of it decline after bitcoin get corrected, you can assume that most people are cashing out right now and prepare to buy back at the dip.
All you have to do is just predict the best entry point to buy bitcoin and altcoins, waiting for days or weeks and you will get profits.
At current bitcoin price, rise and fall over $1000 within minutes make it easier for traders to get extra profit in short-term, but you can always extract more profit if you can be patient, holding for several weeks.
323  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info shows incorrect QR code? on: December 10, 2017, 11:05:46 AM
No, it's a correct code, I have checked it, even though you see it slightly different.
You can check the QR code before sending bitcoin to the address obviously, so no need to worry about it.
324  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: state regulations about bitcoin on: December 10, 2017, 06:58:32 AM
Japan is the only country which legalized and allows bitcoin to be used as means of payment, as a real currency.
Normally, as most countries have no any fix regulations that prohibit bitcoin to be used as a currency, you don't need government's regulations to transact bitcoin, to buy goods or pay service as long as both parties accept bitcoin as a medium of payment. Unless you live in a country which bans bitcoin and stated cryptocurrency as illegal.
You can read it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory

325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New arbitrage site? on: December 10, 2017, 05:05:32 AM
So if you have USD and want BTC, you enter those and how much USD/BTC you have/want.  If ETH is the cheapest option then it says buy x amount of ETH (inc fees) and then swap that for y amount of BTC (inc fees).  It can probably do links to the pages for each stage.  I suppose you may want to limit it to exchanges you have an account at and mid to high volume coins.

Question, which are the most popular exchanges?

Arbitrage trading can works if you can deposit fiat currency on some exchanges but not all of them accept USD, for example;
The new ATH come from Korean Exchanges which listed bitcoin worth over $22,500 a few days ago, while in the US bitcoin worth less than $16,000.
Yes, you can send bitcoin to Bithumb and then sell it but you can't convert it into the dollar or withdraw it to your bank account. Unless you wait until bitcoin price falls down and then buy back again and withdraw bitcoin.

326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Futures - December 10. Will it Rise or Fall? on: December 09, 2017, 11:46:01 PM
I prefer to consider bitcoin futures has nothing to do with bitcoin as they create a contract based on fiat currency, all the transactions using fiat currency instead of really invest in bitcoin. However, bitcoin price will increase over time, no matter what they say about it. But contract holders can do something about the price, right? If some people bet the price will rise to a certain point, they will buy bitcoin on some exchange to affect the Bitcoin Reference Rate (BRR). So, bitcoin price maybe increases even higher for the first phase of bitcoin futures, but it may drop back on the second round as the investors will sell their bitcoin to gain profit and simply bet on lower price.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is considered as digital gold on: December 09, 2017, 11:16:34 PM
Your topic has nothing with the main text, but I'm ready to reply both.
Bitcoin was called as digital gold long time ago, and the main reason of that was that bitcoin is also can be mined just like gold. This collation is used to explain bitcoin to newbies often, cause of this way it is easier to understand the whole idea of crypto.

that may be it but i believe so many these days are calling bitcoin "gold" because they want to imply that bitcoin is not a currency and it is only a store of value. although you may never know why some people say it, maybe some call it gold simply because they want to imply it is too valuable!

and they may be true, bitcoin is not functioning as a currency these days with these high fees and huge backlog. but what they don't realize is that i am afraid not being a currency can kill bitcoin.

I'm worried too, as bitcoin meant to be digital currency as an alternative payment method which is better than fiat currencies with the banks system support it. But current nodes and mempool says the opposite, bitcoin can't achieve the goal of being a peer-to-peer electronic cash system, due to community disagreements and conflicts to agreed on bitcoin scale solution which causes too many hard forks lately that can affect bitcoin hash rate or pools priority to mine bitcoin.
328  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-08] The Threat of Bitcoin Futures on: December 09, 2017, 10:43:58 PM
Since bitcoin futures contract using fiat money instead of invest in bitcoin, it's like nothing to do with bitcoin as contract holders just play a game to predict bitcoin price in the future, so yes, no need to worry about it. Bitcoin price can be manipulated, but it isn't easy to get it done as the price determines by bitcoin holders all over the world.
If big whales interested to buy bitcoin after put a bet on the price that will rise up, it's something different.
On the other hand, contract holders who bet the price will fall down may find it difficult to get profits, unless they have tons of bitcoins to dump the market.
329  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Price alerts service on: December 09, 2017, 10:15:12 PM
This app works through facebook messenger, so it's suitable for everyone who always uses it on daily basis but not for me.
So, if anyone uses android or iPhone, yes it will work even though I haven't tried it on both devices.
I prefer to use a bot on telegram which can be set to notify every change in the price within minutes or if the price changes by any percentage such as 3% or 5% and so on. At current price (over $14,000) a 2% change means the price changes around $280 and it happens within few minutes (5-25 mins)
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins prices on: December 09, 2017, 09:55:08 PM
Bitcoin rise up and altcoins fall down is a common thing, because traders and investors always allocate their investment on bitcoin or altcoins at different time stamp depend on the price, whenever bitcoin reach the peak, it will start to drop back due to people cash out and the funds switch to altcoins.
But some altcoins seem stable and increase as well such as ethereum, litecoin and monero because these coins have real usability in the market.
331  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Amazon accepting Bitcoin - What can go wrong? on: December 09, 2017, 03:32:59 PM
It's hard for bitcoin to meet the requirements to become the form of payment for a big business such as Amazon, bitcoin is an asset for now due to inability to fulfil so many transactions in every second, high fee and it takes a long time to be confirmed. Fiat currency or credit card is a better option to make a transaction on the daily basis. It becomes community decisions to take another step for bitcoin scale solution which can take months and even years to agree on such crucial thing, or we just can't get into mainstream transactions, and stay in the box for another year.
332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHFLARE MINING on: December 09, 2017, 01:05:12 PM
I have 0.00443109 BTC to withdrawall
Theirs said minimun to withdrawall is 0.0115
When click on withdrawall Read: No enough funds
Ridiculus. The amount to withdrawall is much more that the minimun
This is a SCAM.  Theirs not answer the Tickets and no give a solution Huh

your funds is not enough, 0.0115 bigger than 0.00443109, check again your btc hahahaha

Indeed, Op just made my day Grin Grin
You're not gonna make a withdrawal unless you have bigger hashrate or waiting for a long time, may I know how much your hashrate in Hashflare?

Unless genenis mining has not altered your minimum payments, then these are the current ones. Now I ask again, why hashflare put those high minimum payments? my assumption is that they are doing this as a way of not allowing small investors to withdraw and this is a way of forcing people to invest a lot of money so that they can make withdrawals

I think so, since they suddenly cancelled the lifetime contract, withdrawal limit is another thing to notice which seems too high compare than their competitor.
Small investors pushed to inject more money to their account, if you don't have min $2000, do not invest in cloudmining, or better to buy your own ASIC directly from Bitmain.
333  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-17-05] Bitcoin Price Will Hit $20,000 Before Tanking: Financial Expert on: December 09, 2017, 07:36:02 AM
Since bitcoin gain so much value in the last few weeks, some corrections aren't inevitable obviously, as we seen before and right now.
Bitcoin price is driven by the demand which makes its price will be different on some exchanges, especially in some countries in Asia which listed bitcoin price over $20,000 even $22,500 yesterday. $15K is the new base level for now and the rally to $20K isn't over yet even though there are some problems regarding banks against cryptocurrency.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin FOMO is too strong on: December 08, 2017, 11:22:37 PM
Everyone who involved in crypto-world has two options, hold or sell.
Many people afraid of bitcoin price get pumped so fast, it can raise more than $1000 within a day, but big investors buying bitcoin at cheaper prices if you decide to sell.
But the fomo n my opinion is; you may miss the chance to get profits by sell bitcoin at a higher price and buy back at a lower point after bitcoin get corrected.
Well, the best option for me is just sell a small amount of bitcoin at a time when bitcoin reach a certain price, as we know the price will continue to increase over time.

loving how cyberkuro and mrcash are discussing with all the seriousness the returns and such, haha

Well, I'm joking with him, but always looks serious in response to everything.  Grin
He does not even know how to calculate the profits after 5 months which shows how st*pid he is, no problem at all as it's false promise in the first place.
I'm surprised if there is someone who stupid enough to give Op bitcoin in order to expect $5 profits after 5 months no matter how much your initial capital, whether $20 or $100. Don't get me wrong, there is no profit at all, it just a bait for newbies without the brain.
336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nicehash, exit scam? on: December 06, 2017, 11:58:28 PM
They have been hacked and lost huge amount of Bitcoins https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2537342.0  They messed up big time. All of investors are screwed up. They have weak security that why hacker stole funds from them. I don't think nicehash will be able to recover that huge amount. This is bad. They've been down for many hours now or even a day now. They said it will open soon. But i don't think they will be back. This is their exit. This is why i don't trust cloudmining. It's a shady business.
Well... I woulnd't exactly call them a "cloudmining". You are basically selling your hash power (from your hardware) to them and not buying a mining contract. A business could keep going with this forever without having to exit scam, so they could be telling the truth. But obviously we can't say for sure that this wasn't an inside job.

I'm just glad that I decided to not play around with my GTX 1070 and mine with them.

Indeed, nicehash isn't cloud mining, even genesis as cloud mining better than them at this point.
BTC4450 is a big amount for a mining service but the most important how they will recover the funds as customers won't cooperate with them anymore anytime soon.
Unless, they have huge amount of bunch altcoins such as eth, xmr or dash to cover all the lost fund as most of their activities are mining altcoins.
337  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Suggestions for an app? on: December 06, 2017, 11:03:32 PM
I have been waiting for a decent multi coin wallet that utilises arbitrage to cut costs.

e.g. You want to buy BTC, the app notices that you could get this cheapest (including fees) if you buy dash through website x, trade it for eth on exchange y then trade for btc on exchange z.

You just have to have accounts on all those exchanges or do an api deal or something to make it work.

Too complicated, right?  Huh

It's not just complicated, but more likely impossible for a wallet to support arbitrage trading between some exchanges obviously.
Every exchange has the policy about how to deposit-withdraw and buy-sell coins, it's not possible for a someone without enough resource to deal with some exchanges to allow him to create a wallet and could access different exchanges at one time. There is no shortcut to do arbitrage trading, you have to do it manually.
However, I don't want to save bitcoin in a new wallet, even though it has some features such as import private keys, etc.
It's more convenient to have some bots on the telegram to notify me every change in the price and another bot as coins portfolio to check all my balance from several wallets by submitting the addresses (not private key or password).
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach $15000 mark by first quarter of 2018 ? on: December 05, 2017, 11:35:58 PM
Let's not consider the recent price dip because we all know that it will raise again in sometime but do you think bitcoin will git the mark of $15000 by the end of March 2018?

Most predictions about bitcoin are wrong and it turns out faster than predicted. as you've guessed whether bitcoin can reach $15,000 by the end of March 2018 but I'd say it will be this month, bitcoin will reach $15K even $20K after bitcoin futures attract more investors to join in the trading market.
If you're not a big whale with Millions of dollars to invest in bitcoin, just buy a fraction of bitcoin and hold it for long-term as you will generate profits which increase over time.
339  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-04] The Winklevoss twins are now Bitcoin billionaires on: December 05, 2017, 02:56:15 PM
If someone asks; why they never sell bitcoin? They are rich mans, even no need to sell bitcoin to extract cash instantly. I acknowledge their beliefs in bitcoin, going through all this year and never sell a single bitcoin, fantastic. There are some people as early investors who bought bitcoin in 2009-2011, they should make more money as bitcoin worth less than $50 at that time, but only a few people who can resist the temptation of easy profits, sell at higher price. And others just lost their hardware wallet or forgot their passwords. One thing for sure; you have nothing to lose when investing in bitcoins and hold it for long-term, but make sure to make your wallet save.
Another rich wallet: 1EBHA1ckUWzNKN7BMfDwGTx6GKEbADUozX
Contain  BTC66,233.75754982
As bitcoin is perfectly safe, no one can hack it.

340  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I got this email on: December 04, 2017, 11:43:09 PM
LoL, they are very very pro hackers Grin
Since you keep all bitcoins offline, nothing to worry about. If they really have skills, no need to warn people as a threat of hackers is real problem everyday.
in that case; everyone has to be careful and cautious of every detail that may lead to a leak and get hacked.
But, even if you save bitcoin in web wallet (not in exchanges), it seems impossible for someone to brute force, access the wallet without knowing the password.
There are some people who forgot their passwords and willing to share bitcoin if someone could access their wallet by try to crack the password, but no one can do that.
