321  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 12, 2016, 05:59:00 PM
I think Bitcoin will soon worldwide, but with some more drastic restriction. And interest will decline slowly. In my opinion

I do not think so. It will take at least 5 to 10 years for the bitcoin to be a global currency. We need at least 10 million active users.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price rising and rising. Is it time to sell before another price down? on: August 12, 2016, 05:57:45 PM

Already it hit $730.

So is it time to sell? Or you think it will go more higher?

There will be no more substantial decrease in price and hence selling your bitcoin today is not necessary if you really don need cash. Bitcoin will increase more every year and having it in your wallet is a good thing. You should invest some of your btc so while waiting for a substantial increase you are also earning.

I agree with that. There is no reason for the bitcoin price to go down at present. However, if another exchange is hacked, the price might go down again.

324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P Ethereum - The Pre-Mined ScamCoin is dead on: August 11, 2016, 09:52:00 AM
Don't have any ethereum but have a question

What happens if ETH classic stays POW and the other ethereum fork goes POS.....would not everyone just switch (miners) to eth classic and do better anyway?
with all them miner cheerleaders for eth classic at that point..would not the momentum completely swing to eth classic?

not trying to be an ass but kinda just looking at this (oddly probably) from the sidelines..what am I missing?

If the ETC stays the PoW, it will have much stronger support from the mining community, and it is safer.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: August 11, 2016, 09:47:49 AM
During the 2013/2014 rise to nearly $1,400/coin, how many bitcoins did you have?

And do you regret not selling if you didn't?

im join bitcoin in middle 2014, then im not have any bitcoin in that's time but in the end of 2014 i have arround 7bitcoin. now i have only 1bitcoin Sad
What happen to your bitcoins, why it decreased? I think the value of bitcoins will only decrease or increase. If you were able your bitcoins then you could already enjoy the value of what you are holding now, the price is really good compared to the past years after the major fall back from $1,200.

i have needs, i withdraw my bitcoin each month to buying something, like smartphone, or just for paying electric fee. my last biggest activity is building mining rig with 4vga (2xR9 290, 390, 280x ) and building office computer i5 skylake. thats why my bitcoin decreasing.

I have a few bitcoins and I have used them to buy graphics cards to mine Ethereum and then I sell the Ethereum to buy bitcoin.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Ethereum actually the only cryptocurrency worth GPU mining? on: August 11, 2016, 09:45:47 AM
Miners are also mining other profitable coins such as Feathercoin, Vertcoin, Siacoin and Decred, anything profitable.

Miners are mainly mining the Ethereum as that one has the biggest market cap and there are more buying.

The combined Ethereum has over 4500 GH/s. That is a huge amount of hashing. Hundreds of million are involved.

The combined Ethereum has over 4850 GH/s. So that is an all time high. I do not under why miners invested so much.

There are several reasons. One is that the miners are very confident the the Etherum price will rise, and they have very cheap electricity price.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 11, 2016, 09:44:20 AM
Bitcoin will never be a global currency because you can't tax it.

In most jurisdictions, governments don't need to tax Bitcoin specifically, you just calculate an income earned and pay an income tax based on these calculations. Whether you are going to include earnings from Bitcoin operations in the said calculations is another matter. But this in no case exempts you from the obligation of paying taxes on this kind of income...

If you get caught for tax evasion, you will be penalized as usual

That is right. When the bitcoin is recognised as a currency which can be used to pay taxes, then it is treated the same as other fiat.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH by July 2017 on: August 11, 2016, 09:42:28 AM
ATH was $1,100 way back Nov of 2013. We need to see more projects that will require people to buy Bitcoin so that price of Bitcoin will increase to an ATH. What I noticed is Bitcoins is used by the same group of people and if there are new comers, they earn and convert to Fiat, we need someone who will use it, keep it, trade with it.

nah, we don't need things that get hyped up in order to get the price to increase. hypes never last long in the world of bitcoin. it means that the price will go down again, ans thus all efforts to make the price go up will go to waste. i am more interested in genuine demand coming from people actually using and buying bitcoin as you also mentioned.

Things that get hyped up so badly that there were two ATH's in 2013. That's why the bear market afterwards lasted so long. If things get hyped up that badly again we might see another two ATH's in one year but years of bear market afterwards. I'm happy if we get one ATH in 2017 due to reduced supply from the halving. I think it will happen in 2017 without any need for hype.

If the bitcoin price rises to $1200 or even $1500 in July 2017, that will not be a big bubble. It is normal price appreciation.

329  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH by July 2017 on: August 10, 2016, 07:38:43 AM
Everyone that sold under $500 forgot the halving just happened. They're in for some regret these coming months of a halved production rate. So far, it seems the worst-case scenario of a cascading hashrate reduction, fueled by blocks taking longer and longer to mine (because of slow difficulty adjustment) did not and will not happen. I ran the numbers through my arbitrary-line-drawer and totes-legit-math-machine. And it told me to expect bitcoin's price to be above $1200 July 13th 2017.

Be ready. Use cold storage. Stay away from HYIPs.

Good luck, everyone!

I think that will happen in 12 to 15 months for a new all time high.  However, it relies on the mass adoption.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR vs Ethereum on: August 10, 2016, 07:34:48 AM
monero batle ethereum
ethereum still better than is good is compare monero
is community vollume transcation and price ethreum better than is good
ethereum accepted much market placed exchanger monero only few litle exchanger

There is no battle between the Monero and Etheruem. Monero is too small. It is not growing fast enough.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 10, 2016, 07:33:24 AM
My goverment still not interest on bitcoin and hope they can see bitcoin existency around the world that getting being implement by other country.
For example : microsoft decide to use ETH for their project which boost altcoin popularity

It is very reasonably for many governments to support the bitcoin. It is too small at the moment for it to be noticeable.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: August 10, 2016, 07:29:00 AM
I have around 2 bitcoins before the halving come, so it's also during the rise and so far i get much profit during the rise and now i have 3 bitcoins.

So you have made 50% profit in the last two months, that is good achievement. Did you trade or gamble?
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR vs Ethereum on: August 09, 2016, 07:46:22 AM
I think Ethereum is better than XMR , even though both coins have good market caps , but sure ETH is much better , because it managed to fetch more investors , also it has been growing faster , it is not a long time when ETH price was $ 0.9 , then the growing began , and now ETH marcet cap equals more than $ 900 m .

Also, ETH and XMR are very different one from other. While ETH focuses on smart contracts/dapp development, XMR focuses on providing an anonymous way of transacting by the use of ring signatures. Still, ETH could implement anonymity in the near future, thus making it a full fledged decentralized app platform with anonymizing techniques like ring signatures. Will this ever happen to ETH? Only time will tell. Just my opinion Smiley

These two coins have different applications. One is the fuel for smart contract, the other is for anonymous.

So, Alex Van De Sande thinks ETC is not worth having!
Please, tell Alex Van De Sande to send over to me those worthless ETHC!

He was in the first steps of the DAO hack, but not in the later stages. He has no access to the DAO ETC.

So becoin should ask other DAO hackers white or black to return the ETHC. Or he can buy them on the market.
335  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 09, 2016, 07:34:41 AM
It will eventually become more widely used by people at an international level so yes it will become a global currency. When that time is of when it will be accepted everywhere and take over all other currencies as a standard of commerce, only time will tell of that. Wink
yeah I think just about time to bitcoin could become a global currency. bitcoin already has all the facilities that support. bitcoin just need a lot of users. and it seems only a matter of time

Bitcoin can definitely become a future currency in future but you cannot ignore the fact that fiat will also exist in long run as there are more users of fiat in compare to bitcoin.
of course it is the currency of the future, in my opinion more and more people will be using it over time and it will be the only currency of the whole world
Are you dreaming? Bitcoin will never become the only currency in the whole world, that is too ambitious considering our current standing now, we are just an alternative currency and the fiat system will always prevail than any other currency because it is enforce by the government.

You are right. The bitcoin will not be the only currency. There will be other currencies like Ethereum or Monero.
336  Economy / Speculation / Re: $250 here we come!!! on: August 09, 2016, 07:29:52 AM
Yeah and I really feel sad for all those people who have lost their hard earned coins in it, as its really painful and difficult to digest it especially when you are being scammed.

I think the international police forces should cooperate to catch all kinds of hacker/thieves, so that people's properties are protected.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: August 09, 2016, 07:27:49 AM
i have save only 0.05bitcoins till now since halving . i am a low profit earner but i work very low so i can not expect high earning i had to give time on my studys and on my life too

You can buy some high rank forum accounts and make some good quality posts. You might earn more bitcoins.

ETH is absolute trash, with Vitalik Buterin as a leader acting as a central banker by trying to stop exchanges from trading ETH and DAO during the attack to avoid people from panic freely selling, and rusing a hard fork that has been a disaster. He needs to be fired and the project refunded if there is any chance of it from surviving long term. Oh wait this actually exists and it's called ETC.

EthDev's moved out 500k ETC
