You guys seem to be extremely smart! Did you study economics? I am saying that because your economic model makes exactly zero sense... I guess you don't even know why you picked those numbers let alone have a long term plan for this project anyway.

Be careful with using those links. I am quite sure that this airdrop isn't legit at all. Maybe just skip on this one.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: February 17, 2018, 10:45:32 AM
In my opinion it's better to buy bitcoin in order to qualify for this fork. Bitcoin price will not be affected by this fork price. On the other hand zcl price will drop. Also, there is no guarantee that combine zcl and bitcoin private combine price will be higher than zcl price now. So it will be gamble for zcl holders and free money for btc holders.

If you are already holding BTC, or purchasing BTC with other alts, the fork really is like free money. However I think if someone is buying with fiat, or wants significant upside, then the reasoning changes. You'd have to use much more fiat or alts to buy BTC to get the equivalent BTCP you'd get buying ZCL. And for people with limited funds I think it is probably much better to buy ZCL for the fork than BTC. Say someone has $10,000 to invest. The upside if they buy BTC for the fork is only 1 BTCP.  Right now for the same amount of $10k they could buy almost 70 ZCL. So while there is more risk the upside is potentially much better with 70 BTCP. So in that case I think it would be better to buy ZCL to qualify for the fork than wasting time moving $10k around to get 1 BTCP.

Although it makes sense what you say there is still a high chance of massive dumping even before the snapshot. Those who bought at a few dollars already are at 40x. They have sufficient reason to sell and neglect the fork which would most likely make them not as much money as the bull run with ZCL has already.

any update from the DEV?

Last post was on February 5th and last online was almost a week ago. This might also be dead already but who knows.

What is the point of the Proof of Stake rate you chose? It doesn't make any economic sense or is there something which I don't understand?
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [WBTC][Scrypt] World BTC POW/POS *NDG Lab Inc* on: February 17, 2018, 10:26:07 AM
The confirmation time is a big problem of bitcoin right now.As the confirmation time of Bitcoin transaction requires a lot of verification, it is highly time consuming and this problem is only expected to get worse. So I will note this project for make sure that they will go on developing

There are several second layer technologies underway to resolve the issues surround Bitcoin transactions. You shouldn't forget that Bitcoin has an incredibly strong developer ecosystem that is going to produce more and more solutions over time.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: February 15, 2018, 01:02:18 PM
So the cheapest way to get Bitcoin Private is probably to buy ZCL? Unless I believe Bitcoin Private will drop under current ZCL prices.

That is correct. And that's the reason for the recent price rise in ZCL.

I am on the edge of buying ZCL but not so sure about it.

Pump Pump Pump! Watch out!

I decided against buying even though it might have been a seemingly bad decision. But didn't want to take this risk of others dumping on me right away.

crazy and when is ArcBlock going to be listed? Is it on any exchange already or when will the token be issued?
Distribution ABT tokens, those who successfully participated in the ICO, will begin on March 3-4. In first time listing will be on Bibox,  they are in partners.

Ah ok so distribution hasn't happened yet. Only way to get tokens is wait for March 3-4th then I guess?

I raised the issue once before but nobody got back to me. Don't you agree that the logo looks astonishingly similar to that of Snovio? I bet they had a close look at that logo at least Wink

Our logo is round and has a different layout.
Sure we are also using the color purple ;-) so its understandable if you think it looks a bit similar.

Thankfully we are at least not a token but a real coin with no ICO and you are able to join into the fun Cheesy

I think in a business world where big brands compete with each other you would have a hard time in front of a court to defend your design against that of Snovio. Luckily for you, we are not in that world of corporates protecting their brands yet. Wink

Just google similar logo's and you'll be surprised how much logo's look a like or use same design.

That is why I said in the world of big corporates there would be war just about a logo Smiley You won't have that problem here but you probably know what I am talking about Smiley
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteGoldCoin(LGC) POW 2018 on: February 14, 2018, 11:25:21 AM
I would like to understand the reason why so many newbie developers aren't trying to come up with a more original name for their coin. LiteCoinGold is so damn boring and dumb that I wouldn't touch it only for that reason. What's the goal behind choosing that name? What do you expect to happen because of that name?

Man this is insanity. How can this thing sell out in 19 minutes? I haven't been part of the ICO but probably a lot of people know more than me about this.
Various ICOs in the past sold out much quicker than this, I mean of course 19 mins is a very short time, but it's not a record.

I heard of a few that sold out very quickly, but some of them already had presales and then there were only tiny amounts of tokens left in the public sale, which then sold out in minutes. How much of the total supply did actually sell out within in 19 minutes? The majority stake?

Hardcap reached within a minutes, not 19 minutes. Lots of people invest but can not enter the token sale. I received cybermiles which are ı can not send at the time.

crazy and when is ArcBlock going to be listed? Is it on any exchange already or when will the token be issued?
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: February 13, 2018, 12:46:48 PM
Thinking we might see €60 Monday or Tuesday, probably will be the last chance to stock up before lite pay kicks in.
I am all cashed out so have flat to buy.

Are you looking at a different coin or how do you come up with that number of €60? Litecoin is sitting at 150 bucks right now.

Litecoin was already dumped hard, it hit 80 EUR a few days ago. I doubt it will go that low again, now the big whales are celebrating and waiting for the lite network pump...

To be honest I don't know. Buy the rumors sell the news. The whales could push this down even further if they wanted and leave all those enthusiastic people puzzled.

I am on the edge of buying ZCL but not so sure about it. I believe that the price of ZCL will drop heavily even before the snapshot. To me personally this is a super risky gamble. And the ZCL devs already said that it is unclear how ZCL as a network will proceed afterwards. So the whole buying activity is because of the fork but someone might play it even smarter. Most likely the people who started buying at 3-4 dollars are now slowly selling into the demand up to 150 dollars.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🚀 [ANN]Genie-ICO 🌟🚀 Asian Asset Exchange | REFERRAL PAYOUT on: February 13, 2018, 12:41:07 PM
Hey! How are you going to verify the information about the borrowers? As I understand it, the existing bank system is expensive partly because they have to check a borrower's history and then make sure the loan is paid back.

Good point and the thing is that banks do at least have something to look at in most cases or can make use of other 3rd party providers that collect info. Is Genie going to integrate or collaborate with 3rd party providers to get the database for information verification going?

what an interesting projects
do you have any bounties available for articles?
In fact, devs have not announced about bounties for articles, at least by now. If you interested and don't mind about payments, please make your article and publish it in steemit to support STRAKS project.

If he doesn't have a stake in the project yet then he is unlikely to put effort into it. Maybe the devs should really take a second to provide a little bounty plan, at least for people who want to produce content that benefits us all. Would like it.

In my mind there is two ways author can approach writing his articles. He could go about bounty's and write promotional articles. Ie. getting paid to write. These type of articles are almost always biased.

The other way is that author should write objective articles about projects he chooses and then in some way get paid from readers. Ie. get paid because quality of content. I am always trying to find these types of authors and if they are good I have no problem tipping them something. It is often the case that these types of authors get influential and after praising a project it immediately jumps 20-30% with the price. At this point author can make shitloads of money by investing before releasing the article. It could be seen as conflict of interests but there is no way anybody can know about this so I believe most of them is doing it in this way.

Might be true but only for very influential people. There are tons of articles but hardly any of them moved a project's price by 20-30% as you said. That counts for people with large followings only and even then 20-30% might only apply to small market cap projects. Giving out bounties to people who like the project and want to produce favorable content should be part of a good marketing strategy.
