321  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 19, 2020, 04:28:55 AM
Hope it would also be free in our country.

Those people I am saying are those people that are working in cities going home to their provinces. They are required to undergo swab tests which I do understand but them not being able to provide is just painful to see since these people are not that rich, in fact, most of them doesn't have a job for months because of the pandemic and then they are required to undergo while they can't afford it.

How can it be conducted for free?

There are different types of tests to detect Coronavirus, and the cheapest of them can cost as much as $10-$20. Now this test needs to be conducted for millions of people. If the government doesn't have enough funds, then the only option is to make the general population pay for it. Yes.. it is tough since a lot of them are unemployed right now. But what are the other options?

I know that.

But what about those that can't actually afford those vaccines? If they can't afford it then just focus on those poor and older people that needs it. Let the others that can buy it pay for it, that easy. There are a lot of programs here in our country to identify those people that is poor so I don't see any reasons for them to find a way for these poor people.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 19, 2020, 04:24:37 AM
The first time I heard about sports betting through my friends, that is when I thought like that.
What was thought to you by friends ? that the Odds are given a higher winnings ? that is really  a Noob belief. as Odds is given as a certain High chance of winnings because of their capacity and past performance ,comparing to the other one.

They don't know I though of it like that.

While doing some researches on my thesis in the past I read an article about bookmakers cheating gamblers and got quite curious and that is when I knew it. I didn't tell that to my friends since they just continue doing my bets and they stopped doing that when they got a job. I think it is on how they talk about the odds the reason why I misunderstood those two. They are talking about Boston having a higher odds in the NBA finals in 2010, that is when I misunderstood that.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 19, 2020, 03:05:59 AM
So wondering why the Chinese government just make it legal so they can get money out of it?

They have their ways.

I am not good with taxes but as far as I know there are taxes for domestic and resident foreign corporations. The countries get some taxes from those even though they are functioning to other countries but what I am not sure of is that if how does it work in their case. Macau is part of China but they are allowing gambling, that also doesn't make sense.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 19, 2020, 02:06:19 AM
At first, I was confused by this.

I thought that the higher the odds mean the ones with the higher chance of winning while those with lower odds mean that they have a lower chance of winning. But that odds doesn't refer to that but it refers to the winnings the gambler could win. It does really matter to some since it is their first basis whether to bet on that team or player.
Cheesy When did you think this way? You're no longer such a big noob now I hope.  Cheesy

The first time I heard about sports betting through my friends, that is when I thought like that.

My parents are quite strict when it comes to gambling that is why I am in that age when I did some bets and when I heard about sports betting to my friends talking about odds, I thought they are talking the odds of a team winning. Still new to gambling that time but I don't have any problems betting since they are the ones doing the betting and I just told them the team where will they put my money. At that time I am just basing my bets on my friends' bets and the odds of course.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 19, 2020, 01:29:41 AM
By some countries maybe.

Most of these countries did legalize cryptocurrencies but I don't think it is accepted as a digital asset because we all know how will they react when it comes to something that people would earn and them not getting any taxes from it. I guess this is just mainly for the protection of the people that would use it in their country.
Now bitcoin is not issue because many governments realizes they cannot stop this just because of this now few are feeling on other side and implementing new laws which are working for many like recently I read in few countries they are taking taxes and KYC policy is also working very stick so from this I am feeling hopefully in near future we will have some good number of countries those will accept this and have some good amount in taxes.

We will be seeing that in the next few years.

KYC might help some platforms, mobile wallets or exchange but I don't think that would directly help the government. Tax will but I hope they continue what they are doing by just making laws or regulations not to tax Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies but just to take care of look into the people using it and giving them protections to scams and hacks.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All time High $23k : What is secret of this High . on: December 19, 2020, 01:25:57 AM
You don't need to think deeply about it.

We are all expecting the price of Bitcoin to reach such heights. There are a lot of investors that put their money into Bitcoin and there's Paypal that accepted it but we can't say that it is the main reason why. There are a lot of things we could look to so it is just better to not ponder about it. Enjoy the price while we are still at it.
327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long will go Bitcoin? on: December 18, 2020, 12:44:13 PM
We can see the Bitcoin rally is in a crazy mood. After braking 20K resistance Bitcoin growing up very smoothly.
What do you think? How long will Bitcoin continue this rally?
When will Alts start a bull run?

I think it would be over $23K.

The price is still going back and forth at $22K and $23K. I think it would stop there since we are still not seeing the correction happening. We don't know how much will the step down be but for sure it will just go back up automatically. For now, some altcoins are already making their parade following Bitcoin but still not that stable.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 08:50:37 AM
If bitcoin made a new All Time High record now in the crypto market, do you think  Ethereum will also follow and break it's ATH last year January 2018 which is more than $1000?

We have always observed that if bitcoin rises in value, most altcoins follow as well. Even now that bitcoin has reached another ATH, altcoins are also increasing and now, market is in green celebrating the bitcoins new record.
Eth with pass $1000 by 2021 and  if btc rally continues. And as I've seen so far, ETH will surprise investors soon.

If Bitcoin rallies, altcoins follow.

We are seeing great movement from other cryptocurrencies as well. Maybe we could see that next year. Investors are already expecting cryptocurrencies like Ethereum to increase so I don't think it will really surprise or amaze investors. Some altcoins will also follow the Bitcoins rally so we should not just focus on ETH.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 18, 2020, 08:42:48 AM
Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.

I hope they could get someone that could help them get a championship.

Giannis can't carry the team himself so he really needs to be efficient when it comes to his teammates on the court or develop his skills as you've said about his 3 point shooting. Their strategies are so limited and I hope they could use Korver too so they will have someone that could do the shooting and them focussing on inside scores.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 18, 2020, 07:33:34 AM
In my own opinion betting with high chances of winning lets you get profit but not that much profit to get especially if the odd gaps is high.

That might be true.

But you should know that there are instances that the team or player with the higher odds usually wins. It is true that it is the safest pick if you will be depending on the odds but there are other things that could affect the outcome of the match. Since we are dealing with gambling, these odds can usually be a trap.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1x2 vs the correct score bets on: December 18, 2020, 06:28:47 AM
Mostly I bet on a football match that I will watch later lively on tv. Since my main purpose on gambling is for entertainment, I find it more entertaining to have a bet on a football match that I watch. By having a bet on 1x2, I can still enjoy the match. Correct score will just make me can’t enjoy the match. Because my focus is how many goal left until I can win the bet.
Most gamblers finds it difficult to place bet with correct score prediction and its hardly to play, there are some simple prediction option that at least gives out outcomes when placed successfully, over/under is a good option to consider when targeting winning in your bets slip.

If that is to predict the score, I will give up because that will be too difficult. I don't have many predictions analysis about the score, but if that is for predicting the winner, I guess that perhaps, I will have a chance to win. But still, sometimes it is not easy to predict the winner because the situations and conditions can change if one team can rise and get more support from their fan or coach. We don't have to predict the score if we can't do that, but predicting the winner will be more comfortable than the score.

Yeah, it is really hard.

There are a lot of one-sided matches and based on the odds that the bookmakers placed, we could able to easily guess which is the favorite or not. But that doesn't ensure our win because we all know that it doesn't always play like that. Despite the odds, either team could win which makes it harder especially if you are having second thoughts.
332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats Bitcoin Community. Today is $20k day! on: December 18, 2020, 05:57:15 AM
Congratulation to all of us.

It's been a long and tough year, a lot of things happened, and right now seems so bright when it comes to Bitcoin's future. We are not just waiting for what will happen next year since, in my opinion, I think it would be the year when Bitcoin will be widely adopted. Since Paypal started it, we never know which platforms will step next.
333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three weeks to the year end - what will be the high? on: December 18, 2020, 04:57:19 AM
I don't actually know.

There's been some changes that I don't know if I should say or predict that it would increase or not. All I can say is that it might increase but I don't think that it would reach more than $18K. Price might reach a price closer to $20K but I don't think it will last to ever reach a new ATH. Maybe $15K to $16K at the end of this year.

Err ... you might want to look again ... we are right now at $19,700 and have been above 18k for days ...

Yeah, I know.

But what I'm talking about is what would be the price at the end of the year which I think would happen and then seeing the price right now is just amazing. It is still sticking at $22K going back and forth at $23K. Bitcoin just proved that I am wrong and I don't think this price will fall at the end of this year, maybe next year?
334  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 18, 2020, 04:50:27 AM
And the ones that can afford it, I guess.

Here in our country, swab tests are so expensive and the government is requiring some to do these tests just so they can go home while there are a lot of these people that just go back and forth without requiring these papers. Then this vaccine which is quite expensive will not be given for free? I feel bad for those poor old people.

Here in India, swab tests can cost anywhere from $15 to $30 per person, which makes it unaffordable to a large section of the population. But if you want to do inter-state travel, then it is mandatory to get a swab test and you need tp show the report at the border check-post. But from what I heard, the vaccine is going to be free of cost in India. The only question is regarding supply and timeline.

335  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 18, 2020, 02:45:48 AM
Jesus christ, the people attempting to buy a vaccine on the dark web are getting exactly what they deserve- a dangerous concoction of god knows what with no oversight and no recourse if something goes wrong. You have to go far out of your way of common sense to even be in a position to be hurt from something like this, so anyone who is ultimately really earned it.

The government should make vaccines available to those, who desperately want to get vaccinated. If someone is willing to pay huge amounts, then why the governments should deny the request? They can use the money for vaccine development and to provide vaccines free of cost to those who can't afford them. But right now, the preference is being given to those who are above 80 years of age.

336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 18, 2020, 02:36:39 AM
If the odds were something like this well I really think I should just rely on odds. It's rare to see such odds in my opinion but there's no assurance that it will always win it's still gambling after all.

Odds does matter and they are particularly more useful when you want to see who is the favorite team. The favorite team or the team which is winning mostly gets lower odds and the weaker teams gets the higher odds. This is mainly true for the sports betting.

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 18, 2020, 01:35:22 AM
With all the comments here on this thread, and checking again the site. The owner haven't managed to improve their site yet. So I don't think they can attract players here even if their house edge offering is legit. Sometimes people are not after for the low house edge of the casino but the entertainment they can get from the game. And with their game, don't think that it is enjoyable in the long run.

Building these kinds of sites would be really hard.

Having a 0% house-edge is amazing and all but it is just there standing at one foot and can't do anything. It is better if they could maybe make the games more entertaining and inviting and as you've said, maybe develop and improve more their site. Maybe they could add more games and not just the game that they have right now.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 17, 2020, 10:34:08 AM
Logically it doesn't make sense gambling sites offer gamblers with a 0% house edge, because gambling sites do not benefit from
doing so. Maybe some gamblers are suspicious of the offer, so some gamblers finally decided to avoid playing on these gambling sites.
Or there is a possibility that gamblers do not find interesting games on the gambling site, because most gamblers play gambling for
entertainment. So they have to find something that can entertain them on the gambling site, if not then it's useless that the 0% house edge
offer doesn't make gamblers interested.

That is true, gambling sites get their profit from house-edge, aside from fees they charge from transactions. Bigger gambling platform has to pay staff to maintain the platform running smoothly, marketing and etc.  0% house-edge can be catchy, but gamblers would rather play on quality platforms even if they pay small amount of house-edge for better service and convenience.
If a gambler search for the casino that they want, they will not have a problem if the site doesn't have 0% house edge because as long as they can get comfortable from the site, they will stay. But they can search for a 0% house edge if they want to have another experience to play gambling on the other sites. Gamblers will search for how they can enjoy the games and some of them want to make money, so they would search a gambling site which can fit their need.

Despite the 0% house-edge, it would not be that popular.

Just imagine the chance of you winning in this game. Yes it is 0% house-edge but it is still close to a lottery where gamblers might take a chance but if you really want to win, you'll choose other games. Another thing is that the expected customers or gamblers is far too little unlike other games of other sites despite the house-edge they have, people are enjoying it and find it so entertaining.

Our country government don't accept bitcoin. If anyone use bitcoin and know it state police Caught him and give punishment. But i like bitcoin. How can i use it? And I want to explain that bitcoin is not bad for me. How can i successfully explain?
Many governments have already started accepting bitcoin as digital assets. It will take some more years when btc will become global currency.

By some countries maybe.

Most of these countries did legalize cryptocurrencies but I don't think it is accepted as a digital asset because we all know how will they react when it comes to something that people would earn and them not getting any taxes from it. 340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: December 17, 2020, 08:59:41 AM
I think being consistent is also hard.

You never know what will be the movement so what other investors do is that they adjust from some certain movements that is why being consistent is hard. It still depend on the investors on how will they adapt on the changes that are happening. It will comes down on the knowledge they have which is still based on probabilities.
