321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 21, 2014, 09:54:13 AM

What do you think about the USD ?
Why is it so strong ?
Is it because of the oil price going down ?

The rest of the world is in more shit than USA. Capital has found save haven in USD as the rest of the markets are in poor condition, for example EU is in deflation and soon there will be nobody willing to lend to some of the EU members (France, Spain,...) which may need to default and thus many investors find holding Euro risky. There are taxes raising everywhere in hunt for money to prolong govermental status quo and socialstic utopia in many countries. Oil prices are only indicator that we may go into another global recession in the next months and investors are expecting lower demand for energy.

It's bleeding! Embarrassed

I believe they want to create daily hammer and thus influence the price movement.

Pinky I see you post in other coins' thread as well trying to dissuade people.

Hm, which other coins? Dissuade? AFAIK I am only writing in BBR/XMR threads.

Below are my posts in this thread in the last 30 days. Have I been very wrong? I think not.
You can use ignore button to avoid reading post from me in the future and live happily in your dreamworld.

The bubble has popped. Only whales were buying XMR - other small time investors that really matters and drive the market up don't give shit about XMR as they see other coins with more potential and less risk. Growth has now virtually stopped and is around 1% per week (IMO strong bear market for any coin) and prices are just too high to sustain 0.003 level for much longer (every rally is smaller and got hammered big time, longterm trendline is broken). But hey, I might be totally wrong.

Last two attacks were fixed quickly and trend was not hurt, now we did break the trendline. Average investor is an idiot and will buy things because everyone else is buying. They don't do any research, because facts would destroy their dreams of no risk/high gain investment. There is a big difference now, because one whale dumped coins and people got really scared - emotions (fear and greed) coupled with anticipation is what drives any market up and down!

But hey, I might be completly wrong, we'll see.

Market found out how risky XMR really is, hence it is very likely that adoption has slowed dramatically in the last week and current price doesn't support inflation rate. I don't believe we have seen the lows yet.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 14, 2014, 05:12:04 PM

pinky is an anti-xmr fearmonger, its one thing to not like xmr and want if to fail, its another make these feelings public with nonsense.

im not worried about price, if monero cant keep it up it will crash, maybe more will buy even lower

Not looking good for XMR. Order book around 100 BTC - the lowest in months. By now even the most enthusiastic see there is something wrong and they are clinging to their last hopes to see price reversal to confirm their bias.

If there will be no quick capitulation the inflation & the lack of adoption itself will do the job. Lack of the adoption is the most worrisome and I doubt new game/online wallet/GUI could save the day.
I would be suprised if the game will see many users without the financial incentives for trying out. The game can be prepared for other coins in a few weeks and all magic is lost.
GUI is only important for sofisticated users (currently around 100-200 people) or maybe creating offline wallets as no sane person will be downloading the whole blockchain. Electrum wallet would be a major breakthrough.
Online wallet is the most important news, but lets wait and see.
I don't know if there is currently any XMR market available or in making on tor.

I wonder when the first whale will capitulate. I know some of them bought below 0.001, but most of them above 0.003. In short, I see prices much lower.

Stop complaining about the price. Go out and promote BBR if you believe in it.
why? i'm investor. i want to da moon, i don't want waste my time to promote it.

Investor? I would say you are more like speculator or gambler. Investors usually do waste some time or money to promote things they buy, speculators not so much.

I just panic bought...it is better feeling than panic sell though

And you got in at the lowest prices this year - not bad.

So the 11th is almost gone, and nothing.  BitcoinAssPress has one day left to be an asshole.  After the 12th, he's just a dick.

What excactly are we looking to confirm if attack was successful or not?

Look, please hire someone who knows how to articulate your opinions. This is all too confusing still.

Why don't you donate to CZ for this purpose?

CZ, could you give us a statement what exactly happened? Is windjc still involved with the marketing?

windjc is disagree with my descision. He has his own reasonable arguments that i respect.
Due to this issues he steped back from marketing now, anyway i'm thankful for his help.

Zoidberg

Great, I thought so. This explains removing of the walls and selling.

ps: I had him on ignore even before he joined BBR for obvious reasons. He hasn't done nothing visible, except dividing the community over the name change, some people are just pricks. I am glad he exit and took loses. Grin

I must admit that your style of writing comes over as "I am smart for recognizing the truth and you are stupid for deluding yourself" but then again you have turned out to be right, so far Smiley

Don't forget he was also a big proponent of LTC and look how this turned out  Grin

There were also a few possible threats that were mitigated by new code from the developers that now make Monero the most advanced of all coins, Bitcoin included, in defending against a TW attack, except for the basic defense of more hash power in mining.

lol, I hope you know what open-sourced protocol means.

However, there is a major announcement coming on Saturday. You will want to be following this thread that day. Just a heads up.

I wish people would stop making announcements of announcements.

Well, he hasn't mentioned on which Saturday.  Cheesy

Yesterday we had 247 new members of bitcointalk forum. This is the lowest number since the last bubble started almost a year ago.
