Just had to link to this video.... The "Gambler" by Kenny Rogers. Smiley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tSo4IICBTY

"You've got to know when to hold em', know when to fold em'."

A lesson so many can learn, and to this day stays so true!

323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 13, 2013, 01:23:07 PM
I encourage anyone that feels they need to dump out after the BTC38 listing to do so - all these things tend to even out - Quark has a core of investors , we welcome speculation but that's not what makes Quark great .

Excellent point Digitalindustry! Anyone who wants to sell at any point - go right ahead. I have every confidence that there will be someone there more than happy to buy them - and then some! Plenty of BTC has exchanged owners during its rise - Quark will be the same. In the future, there will be people regretting selling at 10 cents, others at $1, who knows. IMHO, the majority of good alt coins will be going up (a lot) in the months and years ahead.

Personally, I'm betting big on Quark, eMunie, Peercoin and Devcoin.
+1... Peercoin & Devcoin may make a rise... but nothing like Quark & Worldcoin... marketing... your forgetting marketing... devcoin is useless there... so is peercoin

Outside of my 9-5, I've been busy restoring core CasinoCoin services the past couple of days. The CasinoCoin forum at http://forum.casinoco.in is now back online and the mass amount of spam has been cleared. I have also cleaned up the CasinoCoin seed servers and restarted the casinocoind daemons -- hopefully this clears up the network connectivity issues some of you have been experiencing when launching the wallet. I've also cleaned up the first post in this thread of broken links and updated mining pool information. If I missed anything, let me know and I'll get it updated.

Finally, I'm working through reading and replying back to PMs and posts within this thread. Since some of these messages are serious in tone, I'd like to take the appropriate time to address some of these questions, comments and concerns. I was very stoked to see the number of people that messaged me volunteering their services towards helping out CasinoCoin. I will be dedicating some time tomorrow to reply back to these messages. Til then, you guys take care.

Transcoder, if you need any help we are here. The casinocoin.org will be turned into a community website dedicated to CSC.
We are going to work on the community website and our casino for the time being and slowly think about releasing S******Coin in the future.
As well I have forwarded my miners to megamineros and the pool is perfect.

This is good to hear! +1

Vote with your resources, don't buy or mine the coins and it doesn't effect you.

If titled 'vote against the coins you that see as the biggest threat to your own investments', results would probably be similar.

New policy of not to announce coins ahead of time by BTC38. They realize their customers are getting screwed. So does this mean Quark tomorrow? lol

Hello dear users:

Previously, we have on the line when a new currency, often 1-2 days advance notice, in recent days, we have operations team found that this approach is actually very irresponsible.

WDC currency in the world, for example, before we announced the transaction on-line WDC, WDC's price is only about $ 2 in after we announced the line WDC, WDC prices booming, its highest rises above $ 4. This has resulted in a very bad phenomenon, when after the official opening of trading WDC from our platform, our customers can buy with a price of $ 4 to WDC. This means that the purchase cost of the user's age will be relatively high, correspondingly, the risk will be greater quilt. Over time, this bit era interests of users is very unfavorable.

Therefore, we in the future of a new on-line currency trading, it is likely to open directly, without advance notice, likewise, our customer service QQ and customer service telephone staff, it will only take a moment before the credits received notice on coins.

We will be possible for you to have a stable value space selection cottage currency, we can promise our official concerned, will never participate in the market in which trading. Thank you for your support and understanding of the era of the move, and hope you can understand that this is one of the strategies to protect the interests of all our investors.

"The database crashed and I had to roll it back to a copy from earlier today. If you're unable to authenticate please re-register your account. I'll be setting pool fees to 0% for two weeks to compensate for the crash. Thanks for your patience with this new mining pool."

"but in the mean time I take all the shit you mined as profit..."

Wow... I guess the last 8 years I have spent building & maintaining db's hasn't really paid off... I mean why else would it be so convenient to delete everyone's shit and start over?... why have I not thought of that yet?..better yet I think I will start my own SXC pool and rob everyone there too... Fuck you Mackenzie pool... headed back to Lavas
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Welcome to the 21st century alt-coin Goldrush! Max Keiser & Alex Jones Listen! on: December 11, 2013, 10:45:15 AM
Articles on Forbes have compared whats happening right now with alt coins to the dot com stocks of the 90's. I think they are wrong. This will be worth much more.

Let's go back to the year 1694 when the Bank of England printed paper money for the first time. Most of the population thought it was witchcraft & heresy when other people started to trade in something other than physical gold & silver coins. Sound familiar?

Right now you can't but 7950's, 280x's or any other good mining AMD cards anywhere. Mining hardware for these alts is nowhere to be seen.

Alt coins have exploded in the last two weeks. Money is being made by several coins that I wont endorse here but I have personally invested in.

Money isn't the point right now. The point is to liberate ourselves from corrupt central bankers. To give power back to the people. Alex, I have sent you many show tips over the years. Take your time and really study this one, its not one you want to be against. It will work very much for all of us in the spirit of 1776.

BTC is becoming more and more centralized with the advent of ASICS. This goes against why BTC was founded. Having been a part of the community since 2012 this is not why I first started mining BTC.

There is Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express.... do they not all do the same thing? Is there not Gold, Silver & Diamonds? Is there not PayPal, Western Union & Okpay? IS there not Chase, HSBC, Wells Fargo & others? Why does the crypto world have to be a winner take all scenario?

BTC will go the way of Napster. It will pave the way for others. Right now there is no way I could walk into a Starbucks and buy a coffee with Bitcoin and walk out without waiting an hour. I could however do it very quickly with several Alt coins at the moment.

As a community we will see many trials & tribulations in the future, but it will be matched with much prosperity. We need to thank people like Max Keiser & Bill Still for coming around to our way of thinking. If only we could get Alex Jones to come around. I love Alex, but he is bull headed when he doesn't understand something from the inside out truthfully. That's why I love & trust him.

God speed to everyone who is reading this right now. We are all a part of history, no matter which coin you support. We will all look back one day on this past month and the coming years as a turning point in human history!  Long live freedom for all humankind!

One thing I don't like about Quark is the name. It just sounds offensive to me.

Why would they choose a name like that for a coin?
lol! Guess you haven't discovered the querky Quark in yourself yet Wink
