any coin currently accepted on CoinPayments will see a growth in value....
The ones that fail to get on there in 2014 probably won't be heard of in 2015.

To all the Quark haters. I did not really support Quark until after seeing the amount of interest it brought on this poll. Luckily I was able to put my differences aside and invest into it. Now that I am up 4x what I put into it I am not disappointed. After all isn't the success of any of these coins directly correlated to the attention it brings from the community?

So you are saying that an easily manipulated poll can persuade your opinion? lol Let me guess. "baAAAAaaAaAaaAAaaa" is your life moto too?

Could this poll be manipulated by someone with multiple accounts? Definitely! Do I think they created 151 accounts to do so? Absolutely not. Just look at the QRK volume being traded right now on all exchanges. It is second only to BTC & LTC in volume of BTC traded. So if 1 person did manipulate this poll they are also dumping thousands of BTC into QRK which I highly doubt.

The truth is that with over 1000 votes now this is a pretty good approximation of where community support is heading in relation to certain alt coins.

I also have heavily invested in WDC, LTC, SBC, DGC, SXC and of course I have some BTC. I refuse to support Megacoin. But I am not putting putting all my "Eggs" in one basket.

Why can't there be multiple successful crypto currencies? This is not a winner take all game. Doesn't Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express all do the same thing?

Right now BTC is becoming more & more centralized as ASIC mining power is being consolidated into the hands of fewer and fewer people. This goes against why BTC was originally founded. We are now seeing the emergence of specialized ASIC Mining companies. This is not good for the future of BTC. Also the block chain is getting bloated, there are some serious issues arising with transaction times. I believe BTC will one day be surpasses-ed by an alt coin as it's own initial success will bring its demise.

Just as Napster paved the way for others to follow, so will BTC. Long story short, this poll has given me a better indication of what to invest in than any other resource out there. So far it has payed off handsomely!  Grin

So you are saying that 10 people couldnt make 15 accounts a piece to manipulate the poll results? And we think quack is more popular then litecoin?  You're right. I'm sorry for doubting the almight quack. They would never do anything shady like pay people to donate to bill still. Or did we forget that thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359521.0

You really think the community is heading towards coins like quark? Instamined trash? Seriously? Have you not been reading the same threads I have? Most of the community that isnt quark openly says quark is a scam.

I'm not saying multiple cryptos cant be successful. No where in my post did I say anything like that. I'm saying quack is manipulated trash branded to idiots. FFS They have a "how to answer the premine question" post everywhere. When you have to carefully answer a question like that. You are a scam. Simple as that.

Read here: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/#jump-qrk-btc
9073926 Qrk were traded yesterday. That's roughly 3% of all QRK in one day on 3 lesser known exchanges. 2407 BTC traded for QRK, more than any other alt except for LTC.

There was roughly 200,000 BTC traded yesterday on all exchanges. That's about 1% of all BTC in circulation.

BTC was "premined" and so was LTC. That's how the system works. Quark stands a much better chance of actually being used as a transactional currency than does BTC. Point should be made here that I also heavily support Digitalcoin for this reason. It had a much fairer launch.

Yes Quark has some issues. I myself am skeptical about what will happen in January when 99% have been mined. A steady stream of new coin keeps miners interested and keeps the network strong.

Most early miners who had millions of Quark have sold off. As was exhibited by the jealously of the former quark miner that directed quarkcoin.org to the Megacoin site.

For what its worth, my single vote on this poll went to World coin as that is where I am the most heavily invested.

Are you another one of those early Quark miners that sold out early and is now pissed so yourself and is trying to take down the coin? Either way #'s don't lie. Buy in while its still cheap.

Numbers lie the most. Especially when controlled by people who only have their own interest in mind.

Dogecoin, once they get their Mac wallet out.

I would like to work on development of a polymorphic altcoin that maintains a stable value and is more resistant to fraud.

One thing I don't like about Quark is the name. It just sounds offensive to me.

Why would they choose a name like that for a coin?

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

There is so much buzz around Quark, good and bad. Drama drives the civilization.

I can't wait to see Quark to grow out of its infancy and to become better scamcoin than LTC. Grin

Growth in terms of user base and growth as value / worth are two very different things.

Litecoin should now be considered a mainstream coin. So, in no particular order...

Peercoin

digitalcoin

Securecoin

Cryptogenicbullion

The coin I'm voting for is Securecoin. Its quite possibly the most underrated alt. coin in existence right now. Its basically Quark (super secure), using bitcoins proven economic model. It had a fair launch, unlike a lot of the alt. coins released before it.

The popularity of Feathercoin puzzles me greatly: http://cryptolife.net/an-in-depth-look-at-feathercoin-the-coin-that-started-it-all/

I'd be more of a fan of either Worldcoin or Megacoin, but digitalcoin is just a much better coin imho and this thread is about growth. digitalcoin has a much greater potential for growth as of right now, simply because its less popular. When the CryptoAve exchange launches, both digitalcoin and Securecoin could see major popularity increases in both user base and value / worth.

He hit four for four, out of my top 10 or so types of crypto.
(not including BTC & LTC, their both best of breed too).

I would gather that WDC will ever so slightly out perform DGC but maybe not. DGC has a lot going for it too.
Their both in my top 11 choices, counting BTC and LTC, & their a cut above all but the 7 listed below, imo.

My Top 8 (By Market Capitalization) for 2014:
               ===============

BUT, in no particular order!!!
---------------------------------

Bitcoin

Bitbar (BTB)

Cryptogenicbullion (CGB)

Litecoin (LTC)

PeerCoin (PPC)

Quark (QRK)

Securecoin (SRC)

Worldcoin (WDC)

As for the largest % Percentage Gainers for 2014? Well that's another beast altogether.
But at least half this list will make the top 8 there too. Maybe more, or less. But I say
about half. There are too many tiny market cap issues that will almost surely surge
much like many did in late 2013 over the last few weeks time to throw a monkey wrench
into the works to have much clarity over who will be the ultimate top percentage gainers
in 2014. Maybe their not even yet on scene yet!!!

The bottom half of the list above are much more apt to be some of the top 8 percentage
gainers for 2014, rather than the top half of that list. It's just the way small caps behave
compared to relative larger caps. And of course those much more rare & precious issues.
But the rarest & thus most precious issues may well surge far more than anything.
Impossible to say. I absolutely adore and appreciate everything about the fundamentals
of BTB and CGB. More so than any other Cryptos for the ultimate Stores of Digital Value.
BTB and CGB, and a few other slightly less rare issues are the new digital precious alternatives
to precious medals. And superior in almost every respect too. All but the obvious one in fact.

Mark any issues with a total POW Production of less than 5.1 million as rare & precious issues.

Mark any issues with a total POW Production of 5.1 to 30 million coin as commerce plus issues.

Mark any issues with a total POW Production of 30.1 to 90 million as free spending issues.

Mark any issues with a total POW Production of 90.1 to ~ much the same as free spending issues.

Mark any issues directed as market place sectors such as gaming, gambling & food as Sector issues.
(Gamecoin, Casiocoin, Sexcoin, BQCcoin, etc).

I believe at least 16 Crypto-Currencies will be with this world for a very long time. For at least Centuries.
DECENTRALIZED Crypto. Free from gross manipulations from bankers and governments.

And good for all of us, and them too. In fact it's the best thing since...well it's going to be bigger
than what modern electricity did for the world by the time a few hundred years pass by. It's that
efficient. That much of an improvement. That wonderful. It's going to be as big as the discovery and
use of fire for mankind, for the entire human race! It's that big, if only we let it do all it can for us.

I wont bother to explain. It would be a very thick book to do so. But think. A lot. Maybe you can vision
all or much that it can and will do. For all Governments, all Bankers, and ALL PEOPLE. All of us. Every
last one on earth will greatly, hugely benefit. Do you understand why? Soon it will be explained by much
wiser one's than myself! Wait and see! Well, your gonna have to wait, I wont spill the beans here, lol...

Maybe many dozens of different Crypto's, or even scores (100's) will ultimately succeed. After all we
humans love to have choices. Lot's of choices. Only corporations and business people love to whittle
down the choices. Say to monopolies, duopolies, and Triopolies, such as the American car business for
instance! that's their favorite numbers. We have to rein them in too. We all need more choice. More
competition. Better wages and benefits. And MUCH MORE DECENTRALIZATION. Competition occurs
much better with more Decentralization. And so do better wages and benefits. And even more Profits
if only Corporations were not so very much so short sited all too very often.

The finish like is merely 5 to 25 years away.

I hope I last to see it!

 Crypto...start your bits and bytes!

 ...Let's get it done!

Let's get the Monetary Revolution Done!
=========================

hint:

We haven't seen nothing yet!
It's about to get real crazy wonderful!
As in HUGE!

But it will continue to be a mess too.
For quite some time, if so Huge so Fast!
Get used to it!
