321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: October 06, 2017, 08:55:12 AM
What you guys mining these days? I got 3 Zotac 1080ti amp extreme running bitcore now, got any better suggestion?

i been fighting a block of zcoin on zpool ;p been a while tho Sad
Was mining some of that there smartcash, got like 50k, time to hold and pray haha
Might mine some LBC, its nice and low price right now, could be good.
Sold a few 1080ti's i did, gonna stack for a 1070ti or two, and then Volta Cheesy

I'm excited to see how the 1070ti's mine, especially regarding sols/watt.. Know when volta is supposed to launch?
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DEVICE] SimpleRigResetter - Auto reboot freezed rigs - AVAILABLE NOW !!! on: October 05, 2017, 10:43:35 PM
I have the original version of the rig resetter and am interested in buying 3 extra of the longest cables (I think the longest is 23feet?) shipped to US. Are these original cables still available? How much would it be for the 3 cables? Should I PM you?

I emailed you
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 1060 vs 1070 vs 1080 vs 1080Ti on: October 05, 2017, 07:25:11 PM
In general, the 1080 isn't too popular. For the price and power use, there are better options. However, in some cases, the lower popularity does mean you'll be able to get them more easily, or at a less inflated price. (At my local Best Buy, the 1080s were the only ones consistently in stock on the shelves.)

1060s, 1070s, and 1080tis are pretty good. The important thing to consider here is rig density.

With some fixed number of slots, you can make better use of them with 1080ti cards rather than 1060s. However, the 1080ti usually does not offer the same individual price/performance ratio that you can get with 1060s. For example, I can get 3GB 1060s for around $200-$210 after hunting around. A 1080ti would cost me at least $700, and it does not mine at triple the rates of 3GB 1060s on any algorithm I'm interested in. (For example, I can get about 300 H/s mining Zcash with each 1060. I haven't seen many reported hashrates for a 1080ti that exceed 750-800, at best.)

With 1060s, you're getting a smaller overall rig hashrate for the motherboard/CPU/ram/etc. that you got to support the GPUs, so that's what can start to mess with the overall price/performance ratio when compared to 1080ti cards.

Another thing to consider is resale value. A 1080ti will most likely retain its usefulness for longer than 1060s, assuming you maintain them just as well.

You are right on card performances, but for the rig building cost, you should make it like: 1 rig of 6 cards 1080Ti need only 2 PSU 850W + 1 CPU +1 MB + 1 RAM..... while 3 rig of 6 cards 1060 need 3 PSU 850W + 3 CPU, 3 MB + 3 RAM... The peripherals' price is not cheap Cheesy

For me, 1080 Ti is a good deal but I'm just started with a small budget, so I'm going with 1070.

I'd say you're definitely skimping on the PSUs there, especially for 24/7 operation, and even after messing with clock & power settings.
I can confirm 6 1080 Ti with 2 850W PSUs have no problem.
for a 6x 1080ti build, assuming undervolted, what is total system wattage?
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: October 05, 2017, 06:51:36 PM
Regarding Ryzen 1700 for cpu mining I currently have mine at 3.6 @ 1.18v or so. I think like 40-50w total? hashing 550-575h/s.. can probably OC a bit more and get a bit more profit per power consumption

I have got to be missing something.... I have been trying to use XMR-Stack for a friends build on an X1500.  Its my first time setting up that miner but I am getting terrible hash rates!  Only showing 58-60 H/s.  I have win pro and pages locked.  Have not overclocked the processor yet but think thats my next step?

Maybe try claymores CPU miner and see if the hashrate is better.. might be a xmr-stak misconfig.. make sure # of threads is half your L3 cache.. so like for my ryzen 1700 it has 16mb l3 cache so it uses 8 threads for good hashrate

also i read something about using cpus a certain way if you have less cpu cores than the ideal # of threads to use.. theres a post about this tip somewhere maybe its https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/

something like instead of threads on cpu 0, 2, 4, 6, 10, 12.. the last one was 11 so it showed 0, 2, 4, 6, 8,10,11.. idk exact details but the tip was something like this (it didn't apply to my ryzen 1700 but might apply to your ryzen 1500x)
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: October 05, 2017, 03:22:11 PM
Wow 65% tdp for the 1070 sounds great.. maybe i'll mix 1080ti's and 1070s (and maybe 1080s too since they have about the same efficiency apparently?)

Regarding Ryzen 1700 for cpu mining I currently have mine at 3.6 @ 1.18v or so. I think like 40-50w total? hashing 550-575h/s.. can probably OC a bit more and get a bit more profit per power consumption

I did not know 1070s had (slightly) more efficiency than 1080ti, or any other nvidia gpu for that matter, for mining equihash... I may have to consider going for 1070s instead.. Considering the room I have my 6 rigs (gpu rigs, have polaris in them ATM but am planning to upgrade some of the gpus to nvidia for equihash) in get hotter easily, even if I'm using a couple hundred watts less with each rig... it would be a benefit having the slightly lower heat output.

I am planning on undervolting whichever nvidia gpus i go with and tweaking for max profit per power consumption (efficiency)

And also 1070s when buying are a bit less $ per (equihash) hashrate right?

Definitely gonna check out the 1070s now thanks

328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX VEGA 1900 H/s on CryptoNight fake??? on: October 04, 2017, 10:42:49 PM
Smiley its fake, actual speed vega 64 1990hs at 140w, vega 56 1890-1920hs 150w

Did you get the wattages reversed? Or is vega 64 actually less wattage and higher xmr hashrate than vega 56?
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: VEGA 64 - Cannot Enable HBCC on 2/6 cards in rig after reboot. on: October 04, 2017, 10:40:50 PM
anyone know if it's possible with 1 rig to have some amd (vega) gpus mining xmr and also have nvidia gpus mining equihash? thinking of going this route as a bandaid for this HBCC problem
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: VEGA 64 - Cannot Enable HBCC on 2/6 cards in rig after reboot. on: October 04, 2017, 05:28:32 PM
I'm just getting into the vega+cryptonight scene.. So is this issue about only 4 out of 6 vega gpus having low hashrate specific to a few users or ALL windows users currently?
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia Equihash and Vega Monero questions on: October 04, 2017, 11:53:29 AM
I'm looking to mine either equihash (zec/zen) and/or cryptonight (monero)

Thinking of 1080ti for equihash (for best sol/watt and good mining density and hash per price?)

Also thinking of AMD Vega for cryptonight.

I have some questions

1. How is profit per power consumption currently for mining monero with vega vs mining zec/zen with 1080ti?

2. Is 1080ti the way to go if i got nvidia with equihash? Which brand/model 1080ti?

3. How does Vega 56 compare to 64 for monero? (price per card, hashrate, power consumption, and hashrate per power consumption)

I can give  advice on the 1080ti
if you are in the usa and can get these without sales tax.   they are really good deal.

 https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-6390-RX

679 plus 15 or so to ship  under 700 with a 1 year warranty and evga is very very very good on warranties.

most 1080ti's are good.

so unless you want a water block version try to get them under 700 usd.

of course if you live in a different country they may cost more.

when I am really lucky I get a good deal on eBay

Hmm thanks that is a good deal but if i end up getting 1080ti's I'm leaning towards ones with at least 3 year warranty even if more expensive.. Have you not had to RMA any 1080ti's? I've had to RMA like 15-20%or so of my reference sapphire rx 470s
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: October 03, 2017, 09:46:33 PM
I am familiar with the polaris mining and bios editing scene, but new to the Vega scene. Couple questions:

How does vega 64 compared to 56 for cryptonight (monero) mining? (hashrate and power consumption)

Also, is it possible to edit the bios (mem strap timings) of vega, similar to polaris, to increase cryptonight hashrates?

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / AMD Zec/Zen Mining? on: September 30, 2017, 09:28:11 PM
I hear for Zec/Zen, nvidia is usually used, but for those mining it with amd 400 500 series, how much are you undervolting (and underclocking gpu if at all)? how is it currently profit per power consumption vs eth and eth/dcr?
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Zcash on: September 30, 2017, 08:40:34 PM
With AMD 400 and 500 series cards, how much are you undervolting for zec/zen mining? and are you underclocking the core too like with eth?
337  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 7 Antminer L3+ - Available NOW on: September 29, 2017, 09:34:51 AM
That's actually a decent price imo
338  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmain D3 (November Batch), Innosilicon A4+ *PRICE DROP* on: September 28, 2017, 11:02:04 PM
I was also able to order some surplus Antminers, and have 7 days to pay.

The cost of the Miner with PSU and shipping to US, is as below:

Antminer S9-14TH/s + APW3++ PSU - December Batch - $1530.56
Antminer L3+ 504MH/s + APW3++ PSU - November Batch - $2520.42
Antminer D3 + APW3++ PSU - November Batch - $1679.69

I am not being greedy and will sell it them to whosoever pays the highest premium.

BitMain allows one to change the shipping address, so I can change the address and have it shipped to you, as long as you are in the US.

If you are outside the US, I can have them shipped to me, and then ship it to you, at your cost.

This guy seems to be selling an account with miners that need to be purchased within a few days before they expire, not for the miners themselves to be shipped to you by him (I am selling miners I will ship to you as soon as I receive them). Also, I seem to recall hearing that it isn't safe to buy accounts like this anymore because the original owner can get them back or the shipping addresses can't be changed anymore (not sure on details to be honest).

change of address is not possible !!!

Apparently this is why his post is worthless. changing the shipping address on the orders isn't possible anymore so his post/offer is null and void.

Also, BUMP added S9 and Baikal A900
