~ Ask theymos to add a nice little button in php. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) This is actually a good idea, of course if he can find some time for it. I'm sure I'm not the only one using the forum from a mobile device and this issue will bother other people to, so until we wait for the new forum software this can be a good solution.

If you want to keep it on, maybe add one more line to the report format > archive. Sometimes some of those threads get deleted, it's good to have a link for future reference, especially if we are talking about account banning.

So the only option I found til now is playing with the source code : <div class="smalltext"><span title="Last edit: Today at 08:30:25 AM by iasenko" class="edited"><b>Today</b> at 02:10:47 AM</span></div> Searching for class="edited" shows all the edited comments in the page. This is the only * method working without additional apps on my Android phone with Chrome mobile browser. Tried holding+sliding, tapping with 2 fingers, the Desktop mode... *- see below ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) On Android: Go to Settings -> Accesibility. Turn Select to Speak ON. A new icon will appear in bottom right corner of the screen: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.snag.gy%2FJg24r3.jpg&t=663&c=kc83xkxMCJMj9A) Tap the Jesus, then select the dotted date (just the first few letters should be enough) and it will read "Last edit...". And I mean IT WILL LITERALLY READ IT ALOUD, HOW COOL IS THAT? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Edit: as bL4nkcode mentioned below, there might be variations in how these settings work, perhaps depending on Android version / vendor etc. The above is from Lenovo 8.0. Under Accessibility you can also set up a shortcut so that holding volume buttons for 3 seconds turns this on/off. This actually did work. I guess this is the easiest way til now. If you have Huawei the Jesus version is called Select-to-speak.

Update: Now on the mobile browsers you should see this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F9iqbh3b.jpg&t=663&c=5NVda93KAdcuSQ) Edited: for test The old post below this line
Nowadays more and more people are accessing the forum trough mobile devices but the site has no mobile version yet and some features are inaccessible, like the "Last edit" of a post. There are some ways to get that info like looking through the source code, installing 3rd party software, or calling Jesus* but all those are really inconvenient. So our short request is to add the "Last edit" info as a text instead of a rollover. Something like this: ~ First posted: datetime Last edited: datetime
*See the suggestions in the comments. My original old post below this line.
Didn't find anything searching the forum about this issue. Is there any way to see the date and time when a post is modified, while I'm on my mobile? I see the dots under the post time and date, but that's all ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Please edit the OP so people can easily play with the edited mouseover. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Done!

Do we really need a thread for this?? I just post the link to the post where the banned user ask why he is banned in the report to the mods, and he gets banned again. I've done this a few times now with 100% success.

no, it's like trading in-game items, if you earned on titanium armor, can you sell them like that?
No, accounts are not armour and this is not a game. Then if I earned mine with a lot of effort in helping people and you just bought yours while shitposting, then we will be at the same rank but this will not be fair. Then how people can distinguish the shitposters from the descent members?? This was the whole idea of the merit and ranking system, to avoid people like you to rank up easily. Why you want to rank up at all?? For the money, 💰!!! There are no more shortcuts, you have to walk all your way up.

Hello again Let's have fun. 4-iasenko

If you put focus on the forum as a discussion board, the merit is only a reward for the knowledge and the abilities the users have showed here, it is for reputation same as the ranks. So actually no one really needs merit nor ranking, the only reward you get is at certain point to wear avatar, and reduce some cool down times, really not so essential things. So basically what you earn is Reputation among the other users, that's all.
Once you look at the forum as a money-earning machine things change drastically. This is how most of the people are seeing the forum. They are desperately trying to rank up, trying the all possible ways both legal or illegal to abuse as much as they can the system for best income.
So if you look at the forum based on the first statement, merit and ranking is quite insignificant, but looking trough the eyes of all those trying to "support my family as we are poor" but all their relatives are working here, the hunger for merit is enormous.
I'd like to think about the forum as a place for discussion and improvement, place to meet friends and learn new things. Now I have the privilege to make some income from my hobby which I usually spend on books, paying for Nodes, Internet, hosting, etc. It's mostly for fun.

Hello Krogo! This time I've checked the whole 3 pages of posts to be sure that no one has taken my number. Please reserve 92 for me:

Good luck everyone.

Reporting scam is not as easy and obvious as reporting spam. You need a place to post your investigation and proof, I don't think Report to DTs button is good option. In addition DT people tagging scammers are doing it on voluntary basis, they are not paid for doing it but still they dedicate time and have to deal with the negative energy coming towards them from all those being tagged. Reporting scam in the dedicated section also is a better way to inform the community, someone else can also pick up the case and add more information or proof to it.

It is a great initiative but the Reputation section is not that popular among the newbies. We need a different type of advertisement for this one, like suchmoon has the click-bite link in his signature, otherwise it will continue to be unnoticed. I have my personal text unused so I'll just add little info for this thread ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

@LoyceV Hay man, can you make a list of all the accounts who woke up the past 3 days, please?? (Just noticed this thread) Significant part of those are brand new or newbies with 1 post. I'm pretty sure that they gonna be used for bumping or other sh!t services. I just want to keep an eye of them. I'll try to make a list myself tomorrow so I don't need to bother you every time. Cheers ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

From Theymos sometime ago : Bitcoin.org: - Cobra has ultimate control over the domain name. I have access to the domain name settings. - Cobra runs the server. - Will Binns holds the BTC.
Bitcointalk.org: - Cobra has ultimate control over the domain name. I have access to the domain name settings. - I run the server. Cobra has no access to the database or server. - The BTC is held by myself and the treasurers. Cobra has no access.
I am not Cobra. What would even be the point of that?
The thread is locked so here is the link to that quote : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3284381.msg34255007;topicseen#msg34255007I think there was enough signature spam in this thread, now it's time to be locked.

Haha, LoyceV, you keep confirming that you are AI. I haven't checked last 3-4 weeks but before that there were 119. Remember the QA meriting spree and was removed after that. At that time they were 119, I don't know if new source was added until til now.
|
|
|
IIRC, there was 120 merit sources before. So, theymos added 3 new sources.
I think they were 119 after QA was removed from the merit source community. So there are 4 new ones. I would love to know who are the new ones. I guess pugman is one of them.

Woohoo, for the first time I see a merit source complaining about not enough sMerit ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Cool. Just read Jet Cash's thread about how many good post he is finding lately and I feel like the forum is going toward the right direction finally. Maybe one day I can also apply for a Merit Source if needed

Maggiordomo has to wait 11 seconds. That's like an eternity for a bot I'm not sure if whitelisting would lower this. The minimum (for 500+ Activity) is 4 seconds. I was whitelisted before and I had 0 seconds waiting time, at least I could't go under 1 second for reporting but I did tried it while searching, double clicked the search button and did't got error message (if I remember correctly) , so I guess this will be a solution. But there's a catch, if you rank up you are no longer whitelisted.

I think it's time Maggiordomo to be white-listed by the mods so you skip the cool down time between posts.
What is the current restriction for member regarding this? How long do I need to wait between forum posts? Waiting time between forum posts is calculated with the following formula: waittime = 360; if(activity >= 15) waittime = (int)(90 - activity); if(activity >= 60) waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity)); if(activity >= 100) waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4); This is taken from Lauda's Newbies - Read before posting

WOW, That will save us a lot of time. I think it's time Maggiordomo to be white-listed by the mods so you skip the cool down time between posts. If it gets whitelisted then instead of having notification threads, we could receive PMs and take the unnecessary extra notification load off the forum.
