3201  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 21, 2014, 04:56:48 PM
So what would our incentive be to reach 1,000??  Roll Eyes

It's under negotiations.
3202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Special Easter Egg on: April 21, 2014, 04:45:36 PM
Can someone look through my spreadsheet to verify my estimates on the SP30?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvhh105nmgfokdv/profit.xlsx

Coming out of nowhere and posting the same thing in 2 threads(but not on KnC thread too who is also selling some pre-orders) makes me think that you are paid by one of the competitor hardware manufacturer and the only one that comes to mind is KnC since they are the only one with equipment that is on pre-order. Also it seems that you posted this after the Special Easter Egg offer for KnC customers. It's more than obvious that you are paid by KnC.
3203  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 21, 2014, 04:28:57 PM
mate good luck on the group buy, probably the best deal I have seen, just cant cough the cash in time for this one

Thank you.
3204  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 21, 2014, 04:05:49 PM
I did the math on the SP30 (the 3x package) and it doesn't look like this hardware will ROI with current prices.
Please correct me if I'm wrong:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvhh105nmgfokdv/profit.xlsx

As mentioned in the Spondoolies Tech reply that's not the correct price for 3 units if you want to participate in this Group Buy. You can even get less than 4995$ if you have a previous order with any other manufacturer.

Even if it doesn't look like it, i still believe that difficulty is slowing down and let me explain you my view:

Sep 04 2013    86,933,018
Jan 02 2014    1,418,481,395
Apr 05 2014    6,119,726,089

I took these example of past difficulty because they are on similar dates so it's easier to calculate things.

From Sep to Jan we had an increase of 16 times, while from Jan to Apr we have an increase of just ~4.x times.
Let's compare in BTC too. Examples are for 1TH/s:
- with the Sep 4 difficulty - 5.78BTC/day;
- with the Jan 2 difficulty - 0.35BTC/day;
- with the Apr 5 difficulty - 0.07BTC/day.

This is for me a clear sign of slowing down. Also if we take into considerations your example please explain me how do you expect to have a 35 billion difficulty on 29 August and 70 billion just 2 months late which is simply unrealistic. This group buy will add just 5.4 PH in August, maybe 6-7PH in September and 7-8PH in October.
Secondly, considering that there are only 2 companies that i know that are working on their next gen chip (KnC and AM) it also means that there won't be so many units available for sale in that period of time.
Thirdly, if there are more people that think like you then from the start you are wrong because the whole big rush that we witnessed last year is more or less gone this year. Last year i saw Avalon team grab a couple of million $ in a matter of a few days just for chips. People had to pay for assembly too. There were MUCH more of money being invested and a lot FASTER too in mining equipment last year than this year. (i think HF got 25 mil$ from preorders and so on).
So claiming that people will invest a lot more and much faster than the last year is simply wrong and bad intended. There is someone else that pointed the difficulty thing earlier in this thread and i asked him to take difficulty speculations to some other thread. This thread is for people interested in the group buy, not for difficulty speculations. As i see you only have a single post outside Spondoolies threads. If i will delete some of your posts i hope that you understand why.

Edit: It seems that i'm not the only one to think that we can't keep adding MWs like crazy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg6324550#msg6324550
3205  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: April 21, 2014, 01:35:10 PM
I wouldn't call it exactly "the best and most reliable hardware on the market right now" even if it's my opinion that isn't biased by the Group Buy that i'm organizing.

I invite you to my Group Buy. Even if it's a pre-order and people hate pre-orders, i promise you that when it comes to customer support you will be treated much much better.

True, that "best and reliable" comment was stretching it.

And I'd love to join in on that buy, problem is I'm totally championing the small fries because the house I'm renting won't support an SP30.  As is I was really pushing it with maxed out GPU units strategically placed around the house when I did more scrypt mining, but I can't pull 1200W from a single outlet without blowing the breaker.  And the owners are assholes, even though I offered to pay 75% they won't let us upgrade the power in this place.  So I unfortunately must use smaller-scale hardware, so 2500W spread around the house in 8-900W chunks is just fine, 1000W and I have to be careful not to plug another USB hub in, but 1200W is a deal-breaker.

This is why I'm so adamant about smaller, lower-powered units.  S1's are not worth it at the price, weren't worth it when they were selling for ~$3000 back in the day, not worth it now.  Even if we took power price out of the equation (and mine sucks), it wouldn't possibly break even until August, and with the monsters you're group-buying I'm looking at August with the same eyes we watched the market with in March/April 2013 when AsicMiner was about to ream the network.  Stormy clouds on the horizon, only people with the TH+ units are really invited to the party.

BTC isn't very friendly to the small-fry in the community anymore, but I doubt I'm alone in people with either expensive power or power draw limits where scaling out but not up is the only way to go.  On the flipside, this is also why I have over $10k in Gridseed hardware on order and/or hashing right now.  I can spread it across the house and the power draw won't come close to my old GPU farm.  It could have been Ant units, Bitmain decided otherwise for me. Smiley

Spondoolies already have that covered:
Already posted in our thread, posting it here again:

We're happy to announce that we've secured a deal with a high quality data center in Central WA for ultra cheap long term hosting. US bundles customers (50 units or more, SP10 or SP30) are invited to contact us at sales@spondoolies-tech.com for details

They will have an option even for smaller customers too with 1 SP30 or some kind of a bundle for multiple customers so that shouldn't hold you back from ordering. Send them an e-mail if you don't believe me and they will fill you with some more details and after that hurry with your reservation fee Smiley

New price for AntMiner S1: 0.855btc each one, shipping cost included.

Do you just not give a shit?  Can you respond to a single ****ing PM or inquiry about other products?

I hate to spam another company, but with Gridseed communication is a mix of Chinese and English and I've had full conversations with them via email about products, reselling, etc., all while emailing and PM'ing you guys.  I have more than a dozen replies from them, shit-all from you folks.

Last edit, I swear.  The thing that is most disappointing is that I AM A CURRENT CUSTOMER.  I own your hardware and wanted to own MORE BITMAIN HARDWARE as well as resell it locally in my market, but for whatever reason both myself and others have gotten completely shafted but your utterly shit customer service.  Meanwhile you pop on here once in a while to sell S1's like you are some knights in shining armor selling the same old shit at marginally better prices.  Seriously, at the point you folks started shipping I had high hopes, now I'm curious if you're another KNC who gave a damn in the beginning and now you just want to fleece/flood the market for what you can before scurrying away.

Speak with your wallet by ignoring them too! Or try another company Wink

Trust me, I'm already speaking with my wallet by jumping on a different usb group thing (Swimmer) and buying Gridseed hardware.  My curiosity/frustration is that there is zero communication from these folks and they seem to make some of the best and most reliable hardware on the market right now and were the only vendor bulk-shipping USB-style units.  I realize they're money-pits, but people still like them and continue to mine with them, plus the aftermarket for other, larger hardware is a complete crapfest, so getting a chargeback on a couple USB's won't break the bank.

It seems like the typical engineer problem, awesome with machines, crud with people.  But they seemed a lot more responsive to the community at large when they were selling pre-orders for the S2's and U2's back in the day, now that they pop on and give us access to their warehouse of S1's (pure speculation, I'm just being pissy because I'm only on my first cup of coffee Cheesy) and barely respond to inquiries.  Crying shame for the community because we're running out of reliable vendors once again.

3209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 21, 2014, 12:33:17 PM
Sure, but that's almost natural at this point with those scammers. The reason why i'm sure he didn't read it, is:

This is the e-sign version, the one they request you to sign, not the original "refund and release" agreement.
Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #nxWpMac5sOTQoNgI

So they will release the refund after they send the signed refund form back to the user? Meaning that they are free to hold the signed refund form for as long as they please with the customer having no other option?
3210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 21, 2014, 12:15:31 PM
What the hell with hashfast ? 1 Month i have full signed the order refund . And still got any money back . This is really bad for you and me WTF !! ...

Did you read it before signing it?
You didn't, right?

(waiting for your answer, before explaining to you why i know that you didn't read it)

More gimmicks there too after the full BTC refund lies?

What chips are you using? Ok you named them A3, but who made them? Got more details about them?

The case looks more or less like the Cointerra one and also the chips seem to be on specs with theirs. Price seems to be close to their price too except that you added your margin to it. Since you admit that you were mining with this units for over than 1 month why not post some tangible proofs?

3214  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Setting Up a Bitcoin Node on: April 21, 2014, 12:44:15 AM
With the -Maxconnections=n i get 8 connections in Bitcoin Core client

the "n"=the number of connections you want.  If you want 8 connections to the network then you would use the command line such as "bitcoin-qt.exe -maxconnections=8" to start your client.

My mistake. I used the number 8 in my example. It's what i wanted.
3215  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Special Easter Egg on: April 20, 2014, 10:24:17 PM
Does the 0.1 secure your position in the queue or does that happen when actual payment occurs? I'm guessing it'd be the latter, but the official policy straight from Spondoolies would be a appreciated.

The 0.1 BTC per unit does secure you position in the queue so hurry if you want to be an early bird. Spondoolies already stated that they plan to start production for the August batch from late July. Also we are very close to the 250 units so you will get the lowest $/GH.

Edit: Only 20 units left for the 250 units price.

Do we get a reply on the BTC payment PM and position in he queue ?

Yes you do, but somehow i managed to skip you. Nothing personal.  You can check your position in the queue by looking on he Blockchain and searching for your txid: https://blockchain.info/address/14m389VKt1zTGsoLzzSmSP36fHuLjH3fBq

3218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: AMT fucks us over again on: April 20, 2014, 05:59:18 PM
AMT is the worst company I have ever done business with. I spend $12k back in December 2013 and can't even get an email updating me on my order. The only info that AMT has given me (apart from one very short email response) has come from their now self-moderated "Official" thread.

I am order #899 and people with order numbers in the thousands have received their units before I have.

Although the units people have received appear to be broken from horrible shipping and no record of a single WORKING 1.2TH/s miner from AMT exists.

I have called only to leave unanswered voice mails. I have written numerous unanswered emails. I cannot get any response whatsoever from AMT.

I have spoken to an attorney and am certainly joining the class action suit against them. I suggest to anyone considering business with AMT to stay far, far away.

Does AMT issue refunds?

Please include how much you are looking to get for them so we can barter! Cheesy

Are you located in EU or in US? Need to check how much is shipping, but before that how does 2 BTC sound with shipping included?

2BTC seems a little bit higher than what I would like to pay. Considering I can pick up more powerful/power efficient rigs for less.
If you are still using the rigs.. No worries. If and when you decide to retire the boards I'll glady take em off your hands for a fair price!

I will give you an updated price when i find out how much does it cost me to send them. They are heavy.
