3201  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][CA/QC]Thinking of buying some S7s? Then sell me your S3/S5's! on: October 01, 2015, 04:15:33 PM
Thanks to users who made me offers, i'm still looking to pickup another deal or two within a week. Please contact me if you have some tasty offers. Wink

I'm in Ottawa and sold S3s in June to Montreal. It looks like the prices have held up since then.

Sound about right, they were 0.3BTC~ then. They seem about 0.25BTC~ now. So fairly good on retaining their value when you consider people are trying to sell small batches of S1's for 5$ a piece.

5$ for S1, where ? Tongue

It was a guy dumping all this S1s and S2, the S1 lot for 11 was 90$ or so, the S2's were 100$ each. Would be nice face to face but if you ship them, then not so much.
3202  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: October 01, 2015, 04:09:06 PM
That is around 150,000 Satoshis which is really hard to earn from faucets,
It can be if you are lucky in the 1%, or won i lottery but if we compare to the signature campaign.
Then it is equal with ~1post of a Hero member in high pay rate signatures campaign, see the difference in time.
150,000 satoshis is a lot of clicking, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

There is no way you are earning 150,000 satoshis per day from faucets.  Unless you are on over 50 faucets and playing them 8-10 hours a day.  I tried and the best, best I ever got up to was around 40,000 per day.  Not even close to what you claim to be making.

Ouch, let me get this strait;

1 million sat is 0.01btc? So 40k satoshi is 0.0004BTC or just under 10 cents.
150k Sats would be 0.0015BTC or 35cents~ For a full day of work?

Meanwhile we both posted here, it took a minute or two and we earned 100k satoshi each with each our one post, which is 0.001BTC or 2.5 time what one would earn in a full day of work?

I think people doing Faucet either enjoy it or don't read anything posted here or on the forum, ever.
3203  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is it possible to run an Antminer S3 and Desktop PC on the same PSU on: October 01, 2015, 04:00:11 PM

I would agree what OP said is just to close to limit.  It would have to be OC'ed and even then most likely running PSU high on watts.  What brand of PSU is it op?

PC Power and Cooling, if I was reading the OP post correctly

Dont forget the bottom part in that post as I really don't like idea of PC and miner sharing:

But most likely you can get a decent server PSU here on the forums and run it from it.

But where are you reading it is sharing cooling with PC?   I could be overlooking it but I just don't see that part.

PCP&C, or PC Power & Cooling, is a PSU manufacturer (relatively high-end).

I already have 8 S3s running on 2x 1300W EVGA Supernovas (4 each), split across two 15A circuits. It's silly to pick up a PSU for a single unit so I was just wondering how to make use of the 9th effectively.

I have chosen not to run it from my computer PSU as the risk of overload means a hard power off, not something my PC and VMs like very much. Also, I'm already riding 12A on each 15A circuit so I figured it's best to quit while I'm ahead.

I did this on a G2 750w. I personally would not trust any other PSU but the G2 right now to work safely at max load. If you have a wattmeter, you can check what your actual load is. Mine was actually lower than expected. I'm mining and gaming on my GPU at the same time and its a power hungry r9 280 and i wasn't even hitting 400watts.

With the S3 i was doing 700watts and the PSU can handle spikes no problem.
3204  Other / MultiBit / Re: Two questions about Multibit HD on: October 01, 2015, 03:48:37 PM
A: Is there a way to see a full list of my addresses, with the balance of each one of them?

B: Is there a way to export the key of an address into another wallet?

The closest to that would be the way i do it... You double click a transaction and you see which receiving address it used. It's still yours so you can reuse it. Then to aid this, in the top there is a filter area. You can type a keyword to find the address you want.

3206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: October 01, 2015, 03:40:59 PM
I am still trying to figure out if it is ridiculous hubris or plain old fucking stupidity. Probably a mix of both I guess. Longshot chance that this idiotic move was intentional- if the theory that Allen is actually throwing the GAWsuit proves to be true he might be doing this to discredit Joe Mordica's testimony- which the suit is relying on if it has any chance at all, delay the trial for as long as possible, then expose himself as having a confilct of interest and step aside- so that the whole lawsuit process has to go back to square one, etc. It is actually possible, the more I think about it, the more it looks like the only thing that is logical. Not sure how much you read of that thread, but it kicks off with Jason Sponaugle (one the Bitlend Team) lying and saying he is a satisfied customer of Bitlend, blah blah and has a real nice boner from his experience with them. Korfax ( Michael J, Koerner ) jumps in to do some tag team shilling with him. Then Jason is exposed, and the whole thing goes straight off a fucking cliff, Wile E. Coyote style.

Honestly? I didn't read it at all, i have my fill just reading the stream of analyzed information coming from here. But when known scammer group start a project together, then start acting super chill-y as part of an obvious offline plan...

Trying to do a second one, Homero style? Then I guess they learned well from Papa.

This was my reaction. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1183413.msg12469532#msg12469532

So, let me get this straight: The guy organizing the group lawsuit against GAW is in business with some of the central people who were part of the GAW/Paycoin scam, and this is but one of several creepily Garza like operations he has sprouting to life.

My head actually blew up just like that. Lit up half of Boston.

Still haven't quite completely digested the possibilities of what is actually going on. Every time I think of another possible angle, it is there. Coincidences are piling up like crazy. The possibility that the GAWsuit is a sham is now looking logical instead of way out there tinfoil hat shit.

Do you remember Josh offering a 10BTC bounty on Hashtalk if you could lay out his complete Plan from the start to the end? I'm wondering if anyone claimed it, but bottom line, i wonder if that included the scammy portion of his plan. Tongue
3207  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: October 01, 2015, 03:39:01 PM

1k+ a month? That is not possible only by faucets or only by signature campaign.
To earn that amount of money you have to hard work and have good skills like developing apps, exchanges, websites etc.
It depends on which country do you live but 1k+ a month is more than good enough for a person.

Yeah, it is not possible for only one thing, like I join signature campaign, I got paid 0.05btc to 0.1 btc per week if I post a lot, I can get 0.0014btc per post rate which is highest in the community. If i only claim faucets, maybe only 0.01 btc in one month, but i didn't make so much before.   Sad

for real? a hero member that still claim on faucets? Cheesy
what i expect to veteran members is earning  1 BTC a week online Cheesy am i right or not?
i am really surprised that there are still old members that uses faucets.
Not a surprise for me, i know few of my friends with Hero rank and they still claim faucets
They mostly do it in their free time or when they are bored to death  Tongue
Me to iam not surprise, some people have their own method that working on faucet i mean they can earn much bitcoin from faucet with their own tricks, just because you are hero member or even legendary it doesn't mean you've stop earned bitcoin from faucet

But for what reason would you put so much work and time on it solving captcha for less than solving captcha micro job, when you can earn a few dollars per hour using the account on campaign signature?
3208  Other / Meta / Re: Your account has been Locked on this forum ??? on: October 01, 2015, 03:37:38 PM

http://prntscr.com/8hx1oq

Because i have sent an email and no respon about this problem from this email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com.
So i post in here about my account, Can anyone explain about my account (see the image)? he says For security, your account has been locked

Whether my account is ok until my account unbanned?
Or Whether i get perma ban or not?

Remember - Theymos is very busy.  Give him time to respond.
Yes, he would take like an year or so to respond Tongue
Theymos has already said that he keeps these kind of messages on low priority list and your chances of hearing back from him are very low, so dont wait for theymos to reply(else you'll keep on waiting).

As far as i know, the user that claimed to have been banned said he was unbanned. If that was indeed OP, which it make sense since OP did not log in since then...

Rreplying to him saying he won't be unbanned is kinda moot. As thus this thread should probably be locked, unless OP has something else to add.
3209  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21 Bitcoin Computer or Cloud Mining Website ? on: October 01, 2015, 03:31:49 PM
As a asset, the 21 Bitcoin Computer will depreciate in value, moments after you bought it... as a matter of fact, it's depreciating in value, while it's still packaged and on the shelf.

So even if you bought it as a asset to sell later, you will not get a lot for it and the amount of Satoshi's you make from it, will not lead to a ROI.

Cloud mining is proven Ponzi's... Good when you get in early and out fast... If you pull out to late, you will stand a chance to lose everything. So I would rather hoard the 2 BTC.

It's not because there's so many scam out there that all services are scam or Ponzi. Hashnest has to be legit and it's running on actual physical hardware and even though it IS setup to exploit people's money in a way that is safe(risk free) for Bitmain, it is by no mean a Ponzi.
3210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: October 01, 2015, 03:29:06 PM
Quick question, My compact reset overtime (10 sec without hashing detected).

During the night it reseted 4 times, I use a diff of 16.

I will lower it to 8.

What is the question?
Also which miner software is that? I never noticed the gekko cgminer do that.

A Diff of 8 on the stock stick setting should give you 2.something shares per 10 seconds.
3211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: October 01, 2015, 03:27:10 PM
never, just purchased some virtual stuff like vps, private vpn, domain, top up my internet conection and some kind of like gift card, honestlly i have plan to buying a smartphone with bitcoin, i just need time and money so i can buy it, i wish i coud buy it with bitcoin

Yeah, that would be great to buy a smartphone by using bitcoins as a mode of payment, Even I haven't bought any physical goods yet by using bitcoins, but I really wish to buy general day to day stuff by using bitcoins. And that would be great if I can buy burger or pizza by using bitcoins.

Unfortunately i could not find a merchant in my area that selling smartphone via bitcoin, yeah i think that would be great if we could buy physical goods especially electronic stuffs via bitcoin,
hmm thats gonna be epic

Are you certain Overstock doesn't ship to your country?
https://www.overstock.com/intlcountryselect

As far as i understand, there's not many places on Earth you cannot get an internationally shipping online retailer to ship to. Even though it might be "for the right price".
3212  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Official sales thread for everywhere not already covered on: October 01, 2015, 03:22:51 PM
Oddly enough, purple would have been not inappropriate for the Amita had that stick existed. I think we'll carry the Amita name over to pods though, if we end up building any.

Well unless you painted that batch of heatsink sitting in that storage you mentioned, i'm guessing it won't be purple. But if you make one that match my current avatar's colors, i will obviously have to get some. Tongue
3213  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21 Bitcoin Computer or Cloud Mining Website ? on: October 01, 2015, 03:18:01 PM
I'll just hold into my Bitcoins for a long time. There are various reasons to this. First of all, I think that the 21 Bitcoin Computer is too expensive for it's mining hashrate (which would probably be low GH/s) and second, I don't trust on cloud mining services anymore. I've been scammed to many times and lost huge amounts of profit over the last years. Sites such as cloudminr.io, GAW Miners and Hashprofit paid once in a time, but then they shutdown their services and ran away with the people's money. So in my opinion, it is recommended to hold onto your Bitcoins until it is the perfect time to invest. Patience is key here  Grin

I agree patience is key, but how long should you keep a currency that's not generating more of itself?
I mean if in one year i can double my BTC input, if i start with 1BTC and go for 5 years, i will still have more than the guy who held 20 BTC from the start. While we're both "waiting" for BTC to raise in value, let say 1000$ per. I will have started with 1BTC vs 20BTC and end up with 12000$ US more than "you".

So is just holding indefinitely the better plan?
Many people that bought bitcoin in 2013 of the price of 1000$ per bitcoin were waiting for it to rise, but now they lost about 80% of it - current bitcoin value is at 235$
Only early adopters before the rise to 1000$ got profit for holding bitcoin.

I don't understand the purpose of the 21 Computer. It's not a miner and cannot make profit. It's just holding the bitcoin network in it - for 400$. It's not an investment, a waste of money. You could download the network for free or you could use websites that contain the network.
Cloud mining website is giving money at the moment, but nothing gives free money forever and at some point will shut down.

Bitcoin prices are unstable at the moment, so it's a good way to start trading with bitcoin.

I guess you can Margin-trade.

For the 21bitcoin computer, we might be looking at some plug and play bitcoin node, which is completely gimmicky but might very well sell. Some people would actually do consider paying 400$ for a PnP with tech support one than 20$ for a RasPi and slap the software on it yourself...

3215  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: with S7, bitmain vs spondoolies becomes interesting on: October 01, 2015, 03:12:14 PM
So whats up with Bitmain, they listed Batch 2 and Batch 3 of the S7 and Batch 1 has not shipped yet? Also, Batch 3 is $200 bucks cheaper then batch 1. Nothing like feeling screwed! They will all probably ship around same time and if you buy Batch 3 its $200 less. Thats not right. Also Batch 2 has less hash with same amount of chips? I don't get that unless its unlocked at the factory or maybe batch 1 and 3 is overclocked....

Anyone have any insight?

Batch 1 & 3 are meeting the original spes and are running at 600MHz, 1210W giving 4860GH/S

They then seem to have some units, that guessing have an unacceptable HW Error rate, so they called them Batch 2, have turned them down to 575MHz, 1160W giving 4660GH/S selling at $73 less than Batch 3.  Smiley

Rich

Insights hmm. Let see. Wasn't Bitmain offering some credit or partial refunds on the Batch 1 depending on what you got and the price difference? Pretty sure some people said they wish they would get more but they got something in compensation?

Yes, but I thought that was due to issues with PSU's on the S4's. The 1st batch had a high PSU fail rate. I don't think they did anything with S5's, I bought a bunch but can't remember if it was batch 1 or later.

They gave credits for S3 Batch 1 for all units because so many were hit and miss, etc. I think if you have an issue with your miner, even if its just the price change, they usually don't fuck you over. I can swear someone merely said he got a small refund because of the price difference.

Ok, Well when I finally get the two I ordered and assuming they run without issue, I will submit a ticket for a adjustment But I did notice that now their sales page states the following. I don't think they had this on the S5 sales pages and hence they provided some refunds.

Note:

The price of bitcoin mining machines must be adjusted frequently according to many factors, including BTC/USD exchange rate, the network difficulty, and expected difficulty increase. Refund requests based on price changes cannot be honored.

I guess they have that there as a effective way of shooting you down. It is possible you need to pad your request with other valid concerns, like the unit not performing all that great, minor stability issues etc. But i might be wrong and only imagined them giving a 70$~ back on batch one but i can swear i saw it somewhere...

it's the 17th days and this hyip still pays me. my wallet here https://blockchain.info/address/17ShCt8EpQokbHzM7BG8eesPTVMZ488T5v

I got paid too, till now. As long as, We can not found complaint or someone said this program not paying again, it safe Smiley, btw the message above is true "only make deposit with money if You can afford to lose", We all know about that with online money industry.

That's how Ponzi operate, it work as long as more and more user join up, since the return is paid with the new user's investments. Then when the ball get too big, it crumble and the operator run with all the actually invested amount.

Even if OP is legit, it doesn't make it "safe".

New plan. Batch 2 heatsinks will now be pink.
Aw, man!

I'll have to actually find some pink heat sinks now... or see if I can find a place to anodize (or, well, powdercoat more likely) these bare aluminum ones in pink...
Actually I settled on purple (RAL4007), so if people really want to see Compac batch 2 in pink...

You know, down the road this month, if there was one of these available for the same price retailing here, i would buy one. Tongue The other guy's faces when i bring that to the Sidehack club. xD
3219  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: October 01, 2015, 02:58:48 PM

So a call of Shenanigans is just then, huh ?

not surprised that Homero J Garza, Former CEO of GAW and Paycoin (scam, fraud, criminal), is using legit companies like Vision Innovations to fake his curriculum vitae on Linkedin.

Well now that he made so many friends online, he better get a face change if he want to lay off the heat. I don't think the community will let him do anything on his current online names, for like, 25 years.

The rest of the GAW/Paycoin Gang are not letting some silly little thing like a widely known reputation for scamming and/or outright fraud stop their career development. The latest from these swell guys is called Bitlend.io . Lead by D. Allen Shinners. Yes, the same D. Allen Shinners who is leading the GAWsuit (no lawsuit yet- just a GAWsuit Wink) is in business with a pack of GAW and Paycoin (temPaycoin/Paycoin Foundation) coolios, including Joe Mordica and Adam Matlack. No. I am not joking.

Thats pretty funny. But i think most don't find it that funny, seeing how little money is being put toward raising the XPY market cap. I'm not sure how known associates of Josh are banding together openly like that. Are they just trying to build another scam on top of another scam as a social experiment showing that the mass of people on the internet are basically goldfishes?

No short/long term memory, completely obvious, in other words?

I tend to get my smartphone for "Free" from my phone service provider as part of a 3 years no-contract agreement. But if you fancy it, you could get any phones from such online retailers. In Canada there are quite a few.
