I was just surprised at how close the BC chart was to the generic pump and dump chart ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) while we make fun of blackcoin, mintpal is going to introduce bc market. first treading pair will be bc/doge Is that not also comical?

Exactly the same thing would happen to darkcoin if a p&d team with lots of BTC to play with would decide to target it so I don't know what's there to lol about.
Not sure the big fish would find enough willing sellers to achieve the same effect. I'm not selling mine for less than £10 each and even then I'd be negotiating them ever upward while thinking hard about it... ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) edit: nah, would have to be at least £50 each. At this moment in time. I think I just talked myself into further investment...

Anyone buying ASICs for scrypt needs their head examined.
|
|
|
Looks like scrypt-n and X11 is not the new home for GPU miners. If they woud, Nethash would already be much higher on coins like DRK and VTC. I am sorry with that if i am right because i lost 2000€ because of worthless hardware
Give it time. Not everyone has seen the light yet, eventually it'll sink in. And the net hash for DRK is pretty damn high considering current price/profitability is not attractive to the short sighted majority.

Is it so that you need far less energy to mine x11 and how much?
13 Mh/s costs me 1.07kW. Same rigs on VTC cost me 2.2kW. (Actual measured power draw from wall, same core/mem speeds.) I posted a breakdown of each rig a few pages back.
|
|
|
11 270s and 1 6870 give me ~13Mh/s which has been getting me about 10 DRK/day, thats a whopping 6 dollars a day. same rigs same setup mine Einsteinium (EMC2) you will get 17.7 dollars. per month $180 vs $531 dollars. calculations taken directly from coinwarz.com the ONLY good thing came out of darkcoin project is X11. And in 4 hrs time EMC2 will be nowhere (again) on coinwarz and some other shitcoin will be on top for its five minutes of fame. Try thinking further ahead than your daily crapcoin>BTC cashout mate. DRK has a future, and even if it doesn't pan out, I believe in the ideas behind it and thus support it. Go point my hashrate at EMC2 for 24hrs then get back to me with how much you ended up selling it for...

When pointing multiple rigs at the same pool, should I use a different worker for each rig? Does it make any difference? YEP, low diff and I get 0,62 DRK/hour so 14,88/day !!! YES YES YES.....dont mine it to early guys ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Some write that it`s not profitable but persistent ones will win. With my 4x 280x + i5 I get 0,0189 BTC/day - electricity.... so get more that any other scrypt coin mining.... who knows how long it lasts.... 11 270s and 1 6870 give me ~13Mh/s which has been getting me about 10 DRK/day, should be closer to 15 today hopefully. I run my cards very unstressed though, I need them to last...

Diff been lowish most of today, hurrah! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The idiot up above probably got burned on the BC debacle. I kept warning folk at my usual hangout but the daft sods all got stung.

So you're a big retailer and you prefer not to use crypto despite the fact that it can double your profit margin.
On paper its a no brainer. So what is the barrier?
Accepting crypto isn't going to double anyone's profit margin, but it might well be an accounting and taxation nightmare. Not only legally but also in having to rewrite their in house apps and procedures. Big headache for a big company...

Power meter just arrived!
Rig 1: 2 x 270, 1 x 6870, cheapo CPU / 4GB RAM / fancy MSI 7xPCIe mobo, 1000W gold PSU (room for expansion!) : 270W Rig 2: 4 x 270, cheapo CPU / 4GB RAM / Asrock H61, 750W bronze PSU : 390W Rig 3: 5 x 270, cheapo CPU / 4GB RAM / Asrock H61, 1000W gold PSU : 410W
All running BAMT 1.6 from USB.
~12 Mh/s for 1.07kW.
Will switch them back to VTC later maybe just to test, bet it's over 2kW.

Odd, official darkcoin pool and my backup (mining pool hub) both down for me right now. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) nvm, both back up. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Have p2pool failover now too.

I'm thinking that I forgot to buy toilet roll at Tesco earlier. I have no idea what you are thinking.

Hello all I really like darkcoin, so I am looking the best settings for my mining rigs. Anyone got good settings for r9 270 and r9 280x ? Kind Regards novymivo
My 11 r9 270's get about 1.18Mh/s @45-50C with this conf on sgminer-sph with BAMT 1.6: { "pools": [ } ], "auto-fan": true, "gpu-fan": "40-70", "temp-cutoff": "85", "temp-overheat": "80", "temp-target": "75",
"gpu-engine": "975", "gpu-memclock": "1250",
"worksize": "256", "intensity": "13", "thread-concurrency": "6336", "gpu-threads": "2", "gpu-powertune": "20", "lookup-gap": "2",
"api-port": "4028", "api-listen": true, "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1",
"failover-only" : true, "no-pool-disable": true, "no-submit-stale" : true,
"queue": "0",
"kernel" : "darkcoin", "kernel-path": "/usr/local/bin" }
I can up the core to 1030 but I prefer zero worry, cool temps, low fanspeed, and 100% stability. For a 280 up the TC to 8191/2/3 and whatever clock speeds you're happy with. Good luck!

All addresses with a non-zero amount are now ranked, so you can see where you stand far beyond the TOP 100! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) "far beyond" is almost right... "far, far beyond" would better express it... :p

I came back from a weeks holiday today and my wallet v0.9.1.0-g47802b4-beta synced up fine.
|
|
|
Just dumped my entire BTC reserve and bought more DRK.
Like a goddamn tycoon.
If it all goes tits up I'm going to have to work for a couple of days to make up for it.

Am I the only one wondering who certain people in this thread are working for? Whether they know it or not. ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif)

Well it is profitable to mine - you just can't cash out yet Good way of looking at it! Since even it it was worth more currently I still wouldn't be selling it.
|
|
|
I stopped understanding what the last 20 pages said but I do understand people are doing some stuff.
It's like being an observer of some momentous historical event. Or it will be when Anonymint posts, "Huh. OK then." I just wish the bloody coin was profitable to mine. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Don't worry I'm buying it instead. Because I know you were worried. But yeah, big difference between this and, for example, the LTC "dev" team: "Don't worry, it will be OK!"
