Wow you really are the first one to make this point. I'm sure you've changed the minds of many people and started a snowball effect of change.

Jobs are stupid, robots are the future. The rich should just build or buy robots, and the robots should produce everything and build everything, the people should all be fired and YES who gives a shhh about the poor people without a job, In my opinion it is pointless to have more jobs, I think less jobs are better but more productivity using automation is the key to the future.
Whos gonna buy the products if everyone is jobless?

Where is the picture taken from?
Bitcoinity. It's offline now... I kinda miss it. It says it'll be back soon, who knows when "soon" is? I miss it too, still check occasionally.

Reminds me of the pseudo-mythbusters micro-episode where they tested the myth of the bulls in a china shop.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk_zpMory-0Everybody watch it, it's funny. Especially when they put more in and they start charging each other.

There could be some uses for a bot so it's an interesting discussion, but I just don't like any of the ideas in the OP. My personal opinions. Assist in auctions. I don't think the forum should do this, it just causes potential liability issues down the line. This should be on the userbase to do, by creating new businesses, or a Heatware ( www.heatware.com, with some anonymity features/pgp built in) type website maybe? There is the WoT I suppose, but it could be more more user friendly and accessible. Help newbies. There are plenty of sources out there, a sticky does this best. While it sounds cool in theory, a bot would probably just end up spamming posts with links that may or may not be relevant, end up annoying people who see it over and over, and end up on ignore lists anyway. Could end up suppressing discussion in the end. Keep topics clean and on-topic. Perform basic moderation. +1/-1 posts aren't generally deleted unless it's in a sticky thread/necromancy, and I don't think a bot would be able to separate off topic well enough to be trusted. I think a better solution to this would just be more moderators if needed. Post news. This would be kinda cool, but it shouldn't be posted as regular threads, there's already enough stuff to dig through. An rss feed would be pretty cool though. Update speculation. I'll give you this, but anyone who knows how to ask for that would already know how to find it. On a related note, Imgur also has a one click screenshot/upload tool that integrates into your context menu, it's pretty handy. http://imgur.com/tools (The first three are the ones that do this, there are other cool things too). So this is a case of good ideas, wrong solution I think.

He hasn't always been a bull. He is a bull when the trend is up and there is no evidence that it isn't up. Even the short term is, you heard it, up, from $4.6. I'm genuinely surprised by the sudden pessimism, fear and panic in the speculation forum. I have realistic and low expectations for most things and I seem to underestimate the stupidness of the Bitcoin market.
First we saw totally inflated expectations for the Good Wife episode, for me it was the opposite because it was much more than I expected. Now we have seen some unrelated issues but nothing huge and the result is a wave of fear. I see the attitude of S3052 as very healthy right now when we seem to have a large amount of unfounded fear and pessimism.
The most realistic scenario is still that this is a correction to to an overly bullish rally. It's not about to crash to $2, people who say that are manipulators who simply want people to panic more to get their money back in at a lower rate. It's ridiculous.
Technomage talking about fundamentals and health again, time to sell.

We just issued the weekly bitcoin price analysis and newsletter to subscribers.
Exciting times ahead of us!
Absolutely useless. For each time. I get usefull info from short term updates, but they also became useless. blah-blah-blah we wil expire awful times.... You report became a 99% copy-paste of previous reports while a market issues big movement. The one thing you are predicted 4.86 - 7.22 moving zone. Well, cool. almost 50% height. RSI, MACD shows downtrend this and prev week. And you talking about upside spikes and all of your trends are UP. Even short within days. madness... He is almost always very bullish. I don't know why. Indeed he is. Maybe he's hoping it will be a self fulfilling prophecy.

A lot of people who are still mining are long term holding, or accumulate and sell into peaks.

This is pretty cool. Planning on a "preview" of sorts? Just to see what it's like.

well, i'm taking the strategy of heading out to other popular sites to post about Bitcoin. signed into SBRforum.com (Sportsbooks), made some bullish statements and woke up today being banned forever from the site. interesting...
I mentioned something about oil sands on Max Keiser Report page on facebook and got several childish rebuttals from "Max Keiser Report" and was subsequently banned from the page.. Join the club! Who runs that page anyways.. if its actually Max Keiser, hes a bloody moron.. Well Max Keiser will ban you as a twitter follower for a single tweet with a polite message that is slightly contradictory to something he says - and that's definitely run by Max himself, so I think he has a bit of a problem with dissent. I was in shock how childish he was, his responses were that of a 8 year old, If this is what Max Keiser is about, I want nothing to do with it. It was one response away from "Im rubber your glue...." I pray that facebook group isnt run by him.. god help us all.. I'm with you on that one, I'd try to put on a better appearance than that in such a visible place.

not paranoid, just trying to be a legitimate buisness
+1 , what's smarter?: pushing the envelope to make a statement and losing out in the long run, or playing by the rules when necessary to better ensure more long-term survival? This is the crux of the issue. Whether the laws are moral or right is irrelevant. It's a business and if they want continue putting food on the table they need to follow the regulations.

The asterisk is gone from the buy on bitcoinica. This means we can resume normal activity and we can really go in any direction.
I spoke too soon it is back. It really seems like bitcoinica is helping to suppress the price at this point.
Bitcoinica can't suppress a price. Sufficient volume of people selling at a given ask is what prevents price rising. If people stopped selling then the price would go up. If the buying volume needs leverage to support it, then that doesn't sound like a sustainable price. Bingo.
