Thinking:

The discussion about whether BCH is 'Bitcoin' or not is completely based on individual terms (but shows the activated individual thinking process - at least).

Sure BTC has the first mover advantage, but codebase and road map differs a lot from the Satoshi Whitepaper.

We will see that the masses on the planet will define, what their Bitcoin will be in some years.

And the masses are mostly poor and will not use a high fee solution.

LN does not work for the masses (it is not even ready) ...

Anyone needs to make up own conclusions on that

Anyone needs to MAKE Bitcoin work for himself.

CoinText might really be THE killer app just if you think of the world masses having more unstable fiat than all the rich ones.  So I really hope they can get BCH cheap before rich nations will come after. We could shift a bit the wealth of our world.

Didn't know about that one, found some info here:

https://cointext.io/technical-questions-about-cointexts-security-and-private-keys/

Yes - sorry - that was already way upthread here...

Sure - SMS Wallets are not as secure as other Bitcoin Wallets. But what would you do, if you can afford only an old Nokia cell phone and no smart phone? Also connection costs are lower ... reaching those who really need new cash is the idea.

BCH is committed to letting all the people in the world use the encrypted currency, and the emergence of CoinText reduces the popularity of BCH to a large threshold.

tek, do you follow everything blockstreamcore does?
if you do, please speak up and tell us how much control they have over the ENTIRE og btc chain because of segwet/ln.

The pic you have is of a few people that have come out in public and like to say what they are doing..they can go to any coin they feel like when they want..just like you and i.

but trust me when i say this...
There are far far bigger forces behind BCH than these guys.

You need to decide if it's blockstream or core because both are very different

Core is of of many Bitcoin implementations that follow the consensus rules while blockstream is a Bitcoin developer just like all the others just because they have produces some notable contributions does not mean they are in control
lol, i have explained many times in the past, you really do have the brain of a goldfish dont you  Cheesy

https://www.segwetters.org/

No I just don't believe everything I read from other people unlike you seem to I believe what I see.

You say Bitcoin cash is soooo much bigger than ver, wright and Ayre so please inform everyone of your precious insider information

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  guess gmax and co were at your house and told you directly...wouldnt be surprised since you are also a paid troll.

and no,  Tongue  especially to you since you wont believe what you read  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I look over the code occasionally from git merges and follow code modifications and very few come from blockstream

You just get always to your point:  Segwit and slow down code.

Not for Bitcoin Cash!

This might be very hard to understand for ppl thinking of censorship in terms of Bitcoin.

Things will happen. Just relax and watch.

You know what.... my personal opinion on csw claiming to be satoshi....

These are the words from craig a few year back.....

‘I believed that I could do this. I believed that I could put the years of anonymity and hiding behind me. ‘But, as the events of this week unfolded and I prepared to publish the proof of access to the earliest keys, I broke. I do not have the courage. I cannot. ‘When the rumours began, my qualifications and character were attacked. When those allegations were proven false, new allegations have already begun.
I know now that I am not strong enough for this. ‘I know that this weakness will cause great damage to those that have supported me, and particularly to Jon Matonis (founding director of The Bitcoin Foundation) and Gavin Andresen (software developer who played a key role in building software which powers Bitcoin) I can only hope that their honour and credibility is not irreparably tainted by my actions. ‘They were not deceived, but I know that the world will never believe that now.
I can only say I’m sorry. And goodbye.’

ok fair enough comment if it is to be believed....but since that comment it has not been good bye...
it has been the opposite, its more craig than we have ever saw before 2016...again nothing wrong..we are all sharing info and learning together and he is a clever guy.

but if craig wants to be satoshi and wants patents on everything he claims to invent...
then please for the sake of all...prove to us all that you are satoshi, if not, then stop claiming to be satoshi and just be craig.

craig saying BCH is real bitcoin, is not much stronger than any of us saying the same thing.
If satoshi today said, BCH is the real bitcoin, think of the impact that would have on BCH.

 Smiley

In my view, it is better for Bitcoin to have no human leader per se. Better be decentralized at as much parts as possible.

I d say without any evil forces Satoshi would not unmask himself for exactly this single good reason.

And I could find more good reasons not to do.

BTW we still don t know what things we can say about Leonardo da Vinci, King Arthur, Shakspeare, ... but in the end, we should not care.

Bitcoincash, the technology development of this coin is worth looking forward to. Maybe one day it will go beyond bitcoin.

Bitcoin Cash is already beyond Wink

And no, (SW+LN+1MB+noHF+UASF+....)  is not needed at all and is only tech dept injected into already very complicated protocol code base for orig Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Cash is about to make things rather easier for all, Coder, Merchants, Miners, Users.
