3201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Marketing on: February 17, 2019, 01:11:01 PM
If you run an exchange, seems you have enough money for great advertising. Sad you don't have persons who will take care of marketing strategies.
At first I suggest you to create ANN thread here, as you see, every company famous company or website had ANN thread here (include bitmain, coinmarketcap, cexio and so on). This way you'll introduce it to people here, there will be discussion around your service and etc.
Then create ads and publish paid articles. It will be good if you run signature campaign, for example Qtum (altcoin) had massive signature campaign for 5 weeks (1-2) years ago and now you can see this coin in tops. Sig campaign helped them to become popular, not only them, a lot of service, just hire a good campaign manager.
Ads, you can run campaign and/or if you wish, buy ad place on this forum, good idea. Also advertisement/paid article on cointelegraph, ccn and famous news websites would be great
3202  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Partnership/Stake] Bitcoin Gambling Website on: February 17, 2019, 01:02:11 PM
I'll give you some advice and please don't get it wrong.
No one starts casino with bank loan. If you don't have enough money, then you can't run casino. There are many great developers, if person has money, he would hire them and create casino. Blindly investing money online in such a thing doesn't happen. Also how would profit be shared? If I own house and you only did developer skills, on loses and wins, everything goes and comes because of my invested budget, situation is such for you, so do you prefer fixed money or profit share? Profit share wouldn't be fair.
I suggest you to collect some basic money, set max win/bet on your website and then open investment option for others.
And oh, as I remeber you can integrate your website to moneypot, this way you run website on their house (you have no control on their funds). I think this is best choise for your situation.
3203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: February 15, 2019, 08:44:35 PM
Decentralization is one of the greatest dreams of Satoshi looking at the how the blockchain technology and its immutable distributed ledger has been designed. Well it saddens my heart that the greed of men has led to the abusing of this freedom and liberty that Satoshi wanted us to have in the financial industry. Look at the way people are being scammed and robbed in broad day light just because crypto is embedded in anonymity and decentralization. I think we've all had it to the peak, how about we have some level of regulation with the activities in the crypto industry. Share your thoughts commrades.
Everything has it's pros and cons, we can't keep only pros. I think decentralization is abused on different way, not like you say. In abusing of decentralization I mean abusing of bitcoin's use. To my mind it wasn't meant for wide use so there were no regulations. Now it's abused, used by a lot of people, bitcoin isn't as decentralized as it was at first, price is manipulated easily.
There are some regulations on crypto industry and I think that's bad, we don't need it. Let's take care of our wallet and leave freedom too.
3204  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | ETH & LTC Accepted! 👽 on: February 15, 2019, 07:05:23 PM
Happy Valentine Day to Stake and all players.
Thanks for the nice surprise on this nice day by completing a survey worth $100 in Litecoin. It is the highest surprise reward I got so far from Stake, I wonder how much you spend for this "High Roller Survey" as I believe you have so many High Rollers every single day. Smiley

To Stake's regular players, check your email guys to see whether you are lucky enough to participate on the survey or not.
Congrats! I hope this kind of rewards to high rollers will attract more players and high rollers like to register and play at Stake.com
For those new ones, Stake.com still have an affiliate program so don't worry if you are not like panjul07, you will get there eventually.

I just want to add one note, promotions would exist in online gambling anyway, it's a healthy competition which in turn brings more profit to casino's owners. Imagine there are only 2 casinos, same games. How to beat each other? Offer promotion and bonuses, get each others' customers and keep them, also you can grow your profit with attracted new users and also with competition between them to win contest.
Aside from ongoing promotion, marketing also plays a vital role in a site or company's growth. Another is good customer service, customers will leave if they are not very well taken care of. They will look for another site that will take care of them.
Oh of course, I was only talking about promotions. Customer service, instant transaction/withdraw, high speed and etc plays a huge role in attracting of people but I aim wasn't discussion around it.

coinplus
I think you went out of topic, talk wasn't about their team so your post is a little bit curious, so suddenly started talk on their team. Yeah, they are great but I think you adore them very much, they are good skilled developers but beating lasvegas casinos? What it has to do here? Lasvegas casinos are absolutely different models, they are in that state with hotels and so on, primedice is online crypto gambling website. They don't want bustabit like game, it's very easy to implement (you don't even had to doubt about it since you mention them as a greatest team in gambling history).
3205  Economy / Economics / Re: Expert Opinion about Cryptomarket 2019 on: February 14, 2019, 11:34:46 PM
Oh listening advices of those "experts" is really boring. In most cases all they say is meaningless, nothing new, nothing backed by arguments. As OP says, 11 expert has optimistic vision on 2019's bitcoin. Is there any other way to think? All we want is price rise, fall will hugely affect this coin and whole crypto world too. Imagine if it fall under 2K, that will be insane and finally kill mining, wish of rise and so on.
3206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2019, 11:01:14 PM
In reality when governments make regulations on bitcoin, it's because to gain more control on it, not actually om bitcoin but how much user does exchanges have, where goes money and so on. In any way, if it's really beneficial or not, doesn't matter because it will happen anyway. At first there were no regulations because it had few users, news around bitcoin and crypto weren't loud and important.
To directly answer your question, for us regulation isn't good, because bitcoin is meant for protecting privacy and to be decentralized.
3207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💵💵💵 PLAYTOWIN.IO - SLOTS, CASINO, FOLK GAMES FOR ETHEREUM BLOCKHAIN! 💵💵💵 on: February 14, 2019, 10:28:09 PM
I can't discuss around your games and their ethereum smart contracts because I don't know these things well bit if you don't mind, I'll rate UI. To be fair it's very different from other casinos, personally I haven't seen casino in pink colours and you are very different from others in it. Overally template looks good but for me it's somehow boring, that explenation under header of 4 games doesn't look good, better to offer games without any plugins because it's very boring for some people to install different plugins and some may give up to play on your website. Mobile template needs change and improvement.
3208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will you do when the market goes down? This is my advice on: February 14, 2019, 09:39:36 PM
As I see everyone here suggest to hold and wait for further rise, I disagree this. OP is right, better to trade even when price isn't great for you because very often it's easy to predict small rise and fall. Also hodling isn't good for bitcoin, why to freeze money for a while? Money has to be in circulation to develop and improve economy, if you stop factory, nothing will be made.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in Sports Betting on: February 14, 2019, 08:08:01 PM
Matringale doesn't work in anything even in sportsbetting and trading , I made a topic with a real example before so feel free to check it
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5035907

doing martingale you will reach a point that you will risk your whole bankroll with one bet , and that's the most stupid thing to do in any kind of investments
if you are good with sportsbetting then you should have profit repeating the same staking size , no need to chase a few units that you lost in a bad run
People who offer odds are best in sports betting, also sometimes these odds are against you. For example when you see very strong team playes against very weak team and also stats of first one is a lot late wins and they have great season, you think to risk and bet even on low odd but time comes when such bet loses.
Btw I'll choose FB barcelona and see last 2-3 years statistics and let's discuss how beneficial martingale would be here (see my old post too in this thread to understand more in details).
3210  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase EU customers can now withdraw to their PayPal accounts on: February 14, 2019, 07:14:28 PM
I usually use paypal when I want to buy something online, so don't know well how things work but have some questions that comes to my mind from OP's post. When you receive money on paypal, you have to withdraw it to your card or bank account to get your money in your hands, so this way government will be able to ask you about sources of your money.

Those terms and services from both company are against each other, so how can coinbase offer paypal withdraw?
3211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dominos now accepts Bitcoin via LN on: February 14, 2019, 06:07:53 PM
It's good they integrated bitcoin payment but... but it can't help them boost selling of their junk, apologize if anyone likes it but to my mind it's prices are huge compared to what you get to eat + that 5% sale is nonsense, at least where I live, very often they have 50% off on highest size pizza.
As I see btc payment comes from their partner, so will this continue for long? How soon will this news spread to their international stores?
3212  Other / Meta / Re: Ban GameProtect? on: February 14, 2019, 05:51:37 PM
There were alrrady some threads against him, this one comes again. Good alternstive example of game-protect is quickseller, seems on this forum blaming others for non valid reasons or claiming false "claims" against others' businesses isn't bannable. But they got red trusts where you can see references which overally suggest not to listen to this users and just ignore, that's end of story.
3213  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Now Officially In Its Longest Bear Market Ever on: February 14, 2019, 04:43:41 PM
Bitcoin has officially entered the longest stretch of declining prices in its 10-year history.

The world’s oldest and most valuable cryptocurrency achieved an all-time high of $19,764 on Dec. 17, 2017 on the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index and has printed a series of lower price highs ever since, making February 2 (as per UTC time), the 411th consecutive day prices have been in decline.

As such, bitcoin’s latest stretch surpasses the duration of the infamous 2013-2015 bitcoin bear market, which spanned 410 days from its price high to low.

the full article can be found here https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoins-price-longest-ever-bear-market
Bitcoin's history has never been stable, almost every year is absolutely different and new experience in bitcoin, so we can't discuss from it's history. But I don't know what to call current bear, maybe current fear? Because it really lasts so long, hope is rise but that process in real life lasts so loooong. There are two sides, it continue falls and panic will finally destroy it (I highly, highly doubt that will happen) or price will rise slowly and then very quickly at some point.
3214  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | ETH & LTC Accepted! 👽 on: February 14, 2019, 02:16:21 PM
Those type of promotions give you a reason to keep playing without getting bored. Without promotions regular gambling can become boring after a while but if there is a reason to gamble and make more (and honestly hope that promotion drops the house edge on your favor if you win the promotion) and that is why there are peaks of wagered amounts during the promotions. It is not really working towards getting newer people (which  it does) but mostly it makes the regular customers to gamble more or even if they gave a break of gambling restart gambling.

That is why they are super important and stake has been doing it amazingly since they started. It is obvious that the team behind stake has a huge amount of experience in this subject (running a casino) and they always do it perfectly timed.
3215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Can Now Buy Movie Tickets Using Bitcoin In Brazil on: February 13, 2019, 10:02:24 PM
I wonder how many people actually use something like this. Sure, a business can accept Bitcoin, but is there any people who use it, with its relatively slow confirmation time (unless it uses LN). It seems like the majority of people only buy or use Bitcoin for trading/investment though, not sure how this cinema will 'convince' people to use Bitcoin here.

Nevertheless, it's a good sign that more business provider accepts and recognize Bitcoin as a means of payment. Hopefully, people will start to use Bitcoin regularly too.

I can imagine waiting for 1 confirmation during peak periods.

"Sorry, your seat has been taken. Please try another"
No, I think it won't work that way because it would be extra boring. There are middle operators like bitpay and so on, you send transaction to automatically generated adress and then get instant confirmation if transaction has normal fee. Or another choise is owning their account, bitcoins on their wallet too and buying tickets with one click, automatically converting bitcoin into usd.
3216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Roger Ver control the Bitcoin price? on: February 13, 2019, 09:36:17 PM
About 2 months ago Roger Ver spoke about the split of Bitcoin Cash and BSV.
Since then Bitcoin's price dropped from $6,500 to the $3,000 area.

Now he made a statement about supporting Bitcoin etc. etc. - and now we see the Bitcoin price is touching $3,600 hovering even towards $3,700.

So I would like to ask - does Roger Ver control the Bitcoin price?
If not - how come every time he says something extraordinary the Bitcoin price changes drastically?

Bitcoin is supposed to be free of any control but it seems like a few people have more control over it than others ... which is a huge drawback of Bitcoin in that case.

What do you guys think?

Man, seems you forget one thing, for roger ver, bitcoin is bitcoin cash, not actually bitcoin, at least he thinks so. So no, he doesn't have any control on Bitcoin's price, nor on BC. All he can and does also is hard try of making bitcoin cash more popular than bitcoin but according to coinmarketcap, his shit is on 6th place, people even prefer ripple over bitcoin cash, that answers every question.
3217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin break 200MA and be down to $1,700? Not so sure! on: February 13, 2019, 09:22:30 PM
I have no idea if anyone really wants to see bitcoin under 1700$. If this coin falls that much, altcoins will follow it too, there will be a huge chaos and such fall will be shock, this automatically means end of bitcoin because at 1700 I highly believe 90% won't mine bitcoin and if someone can handle that, I have no idea because at such fall even wish of handling fades away.
3218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in Sports Betting on: February 13, 2019, 08:46:41 PM
In dice game, there isn't any relation between dice rolls so using martingale can incur multiple losses in a raw and wipe out your bankroll but what about sports betting?

You bet on a good team, it will win eventually. No?
I was thinking about that too, not a bad idea and near to higher possibility of win at some point. Let's take FC barcelona for example, bet only on this team and only on one league (la league). And I think about two options, stop betting after 80% of matches are played and your last bet won or follow fully and stop game on last match, continue from old condition to new season start.
3219  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where could I buy referrals for faucets? on: February 13, 2019, 07:57:54 PM
Any idea of buying faucet refferals? At first usually it's against their tos and will ban you for this reason, almost every faucet will do that. You have to get refferals in white way, then if you only want refferals on faucet website, I want to remind you: quality over quantity. You get bonuses from their faucet claim, not from their registration and inactivity.
3220  Other / Meta / Re: Does forum has mission, vision and core values? on: February 13, 2019, 05:22:42 PM
Previously someone asked here what's our mission on this forum which is a wrong question. Yeah this forum has mission and it's not so hard to understand. See the posts from the very begining, there were some people on this forum who were discussing around bitcoin, anouncement was made on this forum and aim was to unite everyone interested in bitcoin. You can ask questions around mining, blockchain, bitcoin core and so on, you will get answer in any bitcoin/blockchain and altcoin related questions. Not only that, this forum unites famous people too, where to promote service? This place is great idea, just see, everyone started from ANN thread on this forum, just see bitmain, cexio, also ANN thread of famous altcoind were made here. This forum is gate in crypto world.
