3201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If education is based on lies, isn't it still useful ? on: December 12, 2020, 09:25:24 AM
Education is the reason we have intellects, what you might be referring to is logic because you included religion there. I would like to refute your statement by saying that education is the key to not become a pawn in someone's game. Without education, we will be going back to our primal instinct that is survival mode. History is debatable but we can always visit the other side of the story if we and the people surrounding us is open-minded, after all, history is fable favored upon. Being educated is also being open-minded.
3202  Economy / Economics / Re: Consumer Inflation Still Nowhere to be Found on: December 12, 2020, 08:36:36 AM
Most likely, this is due to the fact that even those trillions of printed money went not just under the pillow and into the pockets and went straight into circulation - the reception is very confident. Buying food, medicine, salaries, utilities, and so on.
Inflation is more pronounced if the growth of the money supply is accompanied by universal accumulation, but now we see that the money received immediately goes to the market and diverges through it. Rather, we can even say that for the market of ordinary consumer goods, printing money this year worked like an adrenaline shot-it stimulated demand and at the same time did not give free rein to the wild inflation that everyone expected.
It is still a bad thing that US didn't reach their target rate of inflation because these could mean that the economy is going down, and by the end, more jobs will not be available because of deflation and salaries will be lowered and an annual growth will be difficult. The money did help the individuals but not the economy as some of them that received the money invested some of it to stocks and other appreciating investments.
3203  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden Explores Moving to a Digital Currency on: December 12, 2020, 07:51:34 AM
It sounds like they do not want to deviate from fiat currency altogether. This is not a competitor because they are just using their fiat currency in digital form, this is good for their economy as this prevents printing more paper money and driving down the cost of printing in a mint. This is a dangerous endeavor though because there will be a lot of attacks that will target their digital banks and that can be a serious threat, hopefully they will address that problem because as technology advances the attacks are also advancing. My only question here is, if they are going for digital then that means the purpose of banks will cease to exist because the money will go directly to the people, then what will happen to this banks and will they adapt or die?
3204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Regulations: A damn good time to be paranoid on: December 12, 2020, 07:09:09 AM
I get that some people are simply too technologically illiterate to be able to self custody(especially the older folks), but it's mostly laziness and carelessness. The "Learn the hard way" way of learning is definitely at play here, the same way how a lot of people only become security paranoid only when they already got hacked.
We can't blame them, they chose not to listen to the people who knew better, they will have to face the consequence of that action. I do not get why they still go this way though, remembering what happened at Mt. Gox, they still do this kind of thing. Good thing that there are people like you advocating this because if shit hits the fan, they will not blame themselves, they will blame others for not warning them and educating them about the dangers, now they will never have an excuse.
3205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we all not have our own bitcoin? on: December 12, 2020, 06:25:01 AM
You an also put dog shit in a bag and use it as a medium of exchange and nobody can prevent you from doing so but also you can't force other people to use your "currency". However, if you create a market for the dog-shit-in-a-bag coin and pump and dump it some people will come and trade it for a while before it dies.

In the end only thing remains and that is the decentralized bitcoin that nobody owns or controls.
Sick burn.

To make it clear OP, if we create more supply than the demand then prices will start dumping. Just because everyone can make their coin does not mean that they should make their coin. With so many coins in the market, do you think that your coin will have a chance to get their own time in the limelight, not to mention that you want everyone to create their own coin.
3206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennials’ impact on the future of digital assets. on: December 12, 2020, 04:12:37 AM
It’s not impossible or improbable for millennials to be engaged in cryptocurrency knowing how easy it is to get engaged in the said investment rather than going through all the hoops involved in traditional assets that stocks, real estate, and gold come with. Plus, results most probably come faster and realized much faster in bitcoin and crypto compared to slow-moving traditional assets. Seeing how fast-paces millennials lives’ are currently, it’s not really that far from them to seek such in their investments.
If the boomers didn't fuck the financial system that much and the economy, I think the younger generations could have had more choices rather. With a very low minimum wage, I think that bitcoin is the savior of this younglings from eventual spiraling poverty. I wanted to invest in gold and stocks too but the hoops I have to put up with is not a joke and no one taught me how to get through those hoops.
3207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friendly reminder on: December 12, 2020, 03:38:19 AM
bitcoin is indeed very good for long-term investment, but not everyone is strong enough to hold their assets until 2030. most of them can only last for about two months, I am a short-term player myself, I don't like to hold too long, when it is profitable I immediately sell, that is  the way I trade.
That really depends from person to person, there is opportunity to sell and opportunity to buy so we can't really blame the short-term hodlers. I do not find hodling bitcoin for more than 10 years because there are in-betweens that they could have profited more than what they will sell by the end of the decade.
3208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins have no dividend or potential future dividend on: December 12, 2020, 03:06:39 AM
It is as satoshi says, it is his/her brainchild so we can't dispute the fact. To get a dividend, it needs to be like a stock and bitcoin is not a corporation so investing in it is believing that the value will rise.
3209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability Texas Hold 'Em on: December 12, 2020, 01:59:07 AM

Whatever, I checked it by myself and everything is correct. But what you used to get such results? Just interesting for me (there a lot of different ways to calculate probabilities).
There is a readied calculation. I provided the link there and each hands have their own equations. I am not a math guy but I am fascinated enough to look for this kind of things.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There any legit "android" games you play using cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2020, 09:27:20 AM
~

This is what I am also playing.

It is an android game but I don't think that it is a gambling game. I don't have any idea about a casino that made a mobile application because all I know is that there are sites that support mobile browsers. It is a turn-based RPG as @Lorence said but you should be knowledgeable first because you are the one that would buy your first axies, you should know the best axie to buy and the best ones to start with because it is important. Quality over quantity.
I just assumed that any game that pays crypto is what OP is asking. I do not know much about apps that are focused on gambling and will pay you with crypto, to be honest, I find that concept pretty redundant because there are already gambling sites that offer the same thing. As far as I know, Roobet is the only one that I know that has games.
3211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New institutional player — MassMutual purchases $100M Bitcoin on: December 11, 2020, 08:15:45 AM
If institutional players are getting in even at this price range. They probably know something that others don't. I have read some leaked documents from citibank predicting that btc will reach $315 in 2021, I am not sure how legit that is but looking at all these investors I think there may be some very good reason why they're openly revealing their investment. If true, we're at  the beginning stage of unstoppable bull run.
The price you are saying seems impossible to be reach upon but I think that with the volatility of the market, it will be a valid speculation. I think this investors are just showing off their investments just to advertise their company but who knows what is behind the curtains, the less I know the better. The entrance of the investors really does seem fishy but we can't do much about it but to keep alert and wait for what happens next. I hope that these investors joining the market is not an omen of a crash or something in that nature, fingers crossed.
3212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the CCP Doensn't Want You to Know About Crypto. on: December 11, 2020, 07:39:44 AM
Fact is, the numerous payment systems within China wasn't invented primarily for the convenience of their citizens. WeChat Pay and AliPay can and will track their users and their spending habits. Bitcoin will be able to masks their user's activities to a certain extent and that makes it hard for a police state to monitor their citizens.
Aren't every payment systems like that, credit cards has been operating like that. We are all already and we can't just blame China because to be fair they are blatant with their approach when it comes to mass surveillance. Remember the Snowden leaks, that was even before crypto.

Secondly, China isn't fond of Bitcoin as it provides for an easy and untraceable way for the wealthy to transfer their capital elsewhere and thus resulting in their capital control being less effective.

Cryptos offers much more than that and CCP obviously doesn't want that to happen.
China isn't fond of bitcoin not because of the users but they want to monopolize the ownership of bitcoin circulating in China, how come they are not fond of bitcoin when they were reported to have bitcoin farms back then. The wealthy people in China can't escape the grasp of Xi Jinping, almost every elites there are tied in the government in some way so they do not have any way to screw over.
3213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There any legit "android" games you play using cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2020, 06:58:51 AM
You might want to check out Axie Infinity, they can be played on mobile. The game is a turn based RPG where you control pets that will attack using cards. They are available in PC too.

3214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability Texas Hold 'Em on: December 11, 2020, 06:19:58 AM
You've done a wrong calculation, i see it from high value combos. The real prob to collect Four of a kind is  like 0.00168, not yours 0.168 (16 percents LOL).

You need to find your mistake.
It is correct, check the link that I provided. The probability table says that it is 0.168. By the way the probability is already in percentage.
3215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cambodia enacts new laws related to gambling. on: December 11, 2020, 05:39:38 AM
What do they mean with fairer gambling and gambling conditions? Are they having a problem with the services or the legality because it seems to lean more on services. How come players are getting unfair plays in gambling houses for a long time?

I do not know much about Cambodia but this law seems to be a positive for players and the tax seems to on the low side of the spectrum, 7% seems to be not a good number for me. I do not get why the government take on this lower percentage when they could have imposed higher, gambling will always flourish and for me, if they want a big piece of that gambling pie, they should get their hands to a bigger percentage.
3216  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time on: December 11, 2020, 04:54:21 AM
The thing is , if we have more stable investors over the years the Volatility will fall , since there will be a backup this this chart clearly shows that over the years , bitcoins as a whole have essentially succeeded in gaining more stable holders and investors which does mean that it's more trustable, more stable , more efficient, would even attract some of the conservative investors.
I have even seen news calling bitcoins the *crypto gold*, the *digital gold* things like these are more essentially important now since with a less Volatile currency one can have many more positive points like:
1. It will be more acceptable by the government
2. It would create a stable investment atmosphere
3. Can be considered for a long term investment like : retirement funds etc
That is a good news 😸
The problem with stable investors is they buy a lot of bitcoin on the market leaving only a few for individual investors. I do not know if it is a bad thing but having a lot of corporations and big wigs in the game, the more the definition of decentralized becomes muddled which is something that we should be wary and alert. Although, I sound negative there, I see this chart as a positive for bitcoin in the long game, I can't deny the effects listed in the quote above because I advocate those too.
3217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Major Social Media Companies on: December 11, 2020, 04:22:24 AM
Yeah a bunch of scammer used to put ads up for crypto everywhere and Facebook habe been proactive in trying to stop it.

If you look at anything cryptocurrency related on anything Google owns (Google search, YouTube) especially if you vpn through the UK you'll see there are A LOT of scams out there - even just googling anything stock related.
There are still scammers posting about their scams still, even if Facebook proactively stops them, they will spawn like Hydra heads. There are Facebook groups that is infested by scammers like in my country where the cryptoscams are still relatively unknown, spams of bots are rife in groups that are looking for jobs. I would say that the way they handle this campaign to stop scams is still not enough.

To OP, Use your descriptions to post the address so you do not have problem. Facebook attacks creator indiscriminately mentioning cryptocurrency in their website to prevent scammers. There are creators that have their addresses posted on their descriptions and they do not seem to be flagged, and also try other platforms like Youtube or Twitch to broadcast your content.
3218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHO CAN SHUTDOWN BITCOIN? on: December 11, 2020, 03:27:59 AM
Governments have the same issue with Bitcoin as they have with torrenting and other peer to peer filesharing.  They can declare it illegal, but that doesn't stop people doing it.  It's incredibly difficult for authorities to physically prevent the use of software.
I do agree with this one, in my country, although it is illegal to download copyrighted medias and sharing them, no one really gets caught or punished, the most severe that I have seen is when someone pirates the media and sells it. It also factors that there are more offenders than enforcers so they find it futile to fight this battle. There are only two things that I can think of that will stop bitcoin altogether and that is a war of apocalyptic proportions which will be unlikely, or a total electrical grid shutdown around the world which again is another unlikely scenario.
3219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 11, 2020, 02:47:12 AM
I have to say being addictive in Bitcoin is more productive than smoking daily that will only deteriorate your health, investing in BTC has more benefits once it surges, and can help you financially while smoking can lead to many complications. In other hand your smoke is really the costly compared to us, i'm glad i don't leave in your country.
You can't really say it if you haven't smoke, it takes willpower to quit and addiction is a serious thing so do not say that it is more productive than bitcoin. I do not think that addiction is a good word to go with anything.

To OP, I admire your sheer will to quit smoking because as far as I know, there are testimonies that smokers find it really hard to quit their vices because it became a habit and I am glad that you choose to do some investments and hopefully these will help you become financially stable. Careful about relapse though.

Latest count 10, expense undertaking.
Does the group intend to claim back to once removed by others?

I do think that they will claim it at some point, the Utah monolith was taken already. They already posted the video that they are the culprit behind the monoliths so they might take it away of just leave it there for tourists and fans to visit.
