In further ass news tonight we can confirm that...

...capitalists are assholes.

A few workplace compensation claims will put a stop to that silliness.

Only 14 days until craig wright will allegedly drive Bitcoin to $0 with his tulip trust stash.  Maybe Mr. Micg can rebuild his Bitcoin empire at really bargain prices.

For this special hour of panic on WO, a true story:
Two days ago I stopped at the only stoplight along a rural beachtown drive just as the light turned red.  As if it was aware of the opportunity to use a crosswalk, and with precise timing, a small snake about the size of a common garden variety slithered out onto the road before pausing half way across.  Being familiar with most of the harmless local snake folk in this area I decided to usher the critter across the road to safety ahead of the next green light.  I dismounted my motorbike and approached the snake in a calm manner. Just as I were to take my final pace, the snake turned on me, arched its neck in recoil strike pose and sprung open a previously invisible hood which suddenly made its head appear 3 times larger.  OH SHIT, COBRA!  I froze at less than a meter between us and stared down at my feet wearing the standard $2 flip flop sandles afforded by the natives.
I couldn't move my feet for fear it would be the final trigger. There was 50/50 odds of a successful strike from that short distance.  I could hear other motorists laughing or maybe yelling something at the scene from the stoplight which made me immediately feel like another stupid white tourist far out of his jurisdiction. After a few seconds in lock with the cobra, the light must have turned green and a vehicle slowly passed behind the snake which drew its attention and recoil towards the moving object.
I jumped back with relief and GTFO. The cobra carried on calmly and safely to the other side of the road however, sadly Honey badger courage did not show up on this day. Sad   This would be my first and only encounter with a cobra in the wild of which I clearly was unprepared for.
Extrapolate what you will in regards to BTC visions and parable. Nothing has changed.
HODL

You need to get a pet honey badger to travel with you!

Quadriga: Lawyers for users of bankrupt crypto firm seek exhumation of founder

Quote
Lawyers representing users of bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX are asking Canadian authorities to exhume the body of its founder.

They say they want an exhumation given "questionable circumstances" surrounding his death.

Gerald Cotten died suddenly last year in India from complications related to Crohn's disease.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50751899

I think its within legal bounds, this can be done, just to make sure that Gerald Cotten is indeed dead and maybe we can have closure of his death as we all know that there are a lot of questions about his demise, specially it happen in India wherein there's a lot of fake deaths have been reported.

The confusing here for me is that if the death happened in India, why is the court case being filed in Canada except of course he was buried in Canada. As much as it might be a form of disrespect to the dead, but the lawyers are not expected to make such a claim if they don't have some level of certainty that there is some secrets that needs to be unfold.

If people funds are involved, then there is no extent too far to be harnessed in other to get to the root of the matter.

Gerald Cotten is/was a Canadian citizen, his body was allegedly sent back to Canada and buried there, QuadrigaCX (the company under investigation) is a Canadian company and the court case is in Canada.
Why in the world would a Canadian bankruptcy case be heard in India?

This is just people grasping at straws and paying lawyers to do their bidding.  The lawyers are not privy to any special information that is not already available to the general public and they have already stated as much.

^^ Last year there was only one Bitcoin ATM near me and the rates were ridiculously high. The next closest one was ~50km away and in a very traffic-congested area which made it difficult for me to justify the trip.  Now there are 5 or more Bitcoin ATMS and a couple of tellers within 10km.  The rates are much more competitive now as well - I even saw some under 4% briefly yesterday.
3227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 15, 2019, 04:36:25 PM
Indian Parliament member Dr. Subramanian Swamy has shared his view on cryptocurrency. Advocating for India to make the transition to crypto, he reportedly said, “cryptocurrency is inevitable.” The lawmaker will chair a conference at the UN India’s headquarters next week where issues surrounding cryptocurrency in the country will be discussed.

Cryptocurrency IS.  The word inevitable is redundant.

I understand on what they're fighting for and you cant really avoid on those victims mind to have those suspicions and doubts thats why they do end up on this kind of step of exhumation.

Im sure that victims are pretty aware that they do have no clear chances on getting a cent but at least they are trying their best to at least convince themselves that it is indeed a legit death
rather then letting things go without having a clear or peace of mind.

If the victims are aware they have no chance of getting a cent, why would they spend more money they'll never see again on lawyers to pursue this exhumation?   Is this a case of once the lawyer is unleashed you can't put him/her back in the box?

3230  Other / Off-topic / Re: Interdimensional Multiverse on: December 15, 2019, 04:14:41 PM
Hello all,

I'm FutureBen! I would like to talk about one of my big ideas. The multiverse.

and NOT just any multiverse or parallel universe theory.

What I propose, the "Interdimensional Multiverse" is interconnected dimensions across time & space with a multiverse that's alive.

Scientists believe that that the universe is expanding outwardly and began with the big bang.

In my proposal there are additional dimensions of time and space traveling in the opposite direction we are. they're contracting while we're expanding.

It gets much deeper. Here's a quick video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P77iCRpJHxM

What are your thoughts?

Come on future dude!  For your own safety and the safety of those with whom you share the roadways, concentrate on navigating the present road rather than the inter-dimensional multiverse while you're driving.
Also, you're too late!  You'll have to port yourself to an earlier time and become PastBen because Microsoft is a couple years ahead of you - https://www.onmsft.com/news/windows-10-now-supports-interdimensional-travel

If they are able to exhume the body,  I hope there's a passphrase tattooed on the corpse.  While I would not recommend this particular type of cold wallet to anyone; it would ultimately serve its purpose.

Welcome μαλάκα.

#

Greeks call ouzo, what the Turkish call raki. Grape leftovers moonshine with anise.
On the other hand, Greeks have another ouzo/raki version called tsipouro - which comes with & without anise (resembling grappa).
Then in Crete, we have the grape leftover moonshine again - strictly without the anise - called raki.

It's a fucking mess.

It really is man, hahaha Cheesy I love the Cretans though, very nice people, we felt just like home there and on every corner they gave me RAKI when they heard I am from Drama. Cheesy

Hey guys,

just wanted to introduce myself - proud to be part of the hat gang now! Cheesy

How do you like my new hat?!  Cool May the Greek Gods be with us on our journey to the moon!  Cheesy

^I've been proven wrong... I did say mostly though.

Every day, there are many things we have to do. Business, family, friends ... There are times when I really don't know what to do when the work is always around. Can you give me advice?
Sometimes I want to spend time with myself but it's really hard. Huh

This is a Bitcoin forum.  BITCOIN.  It's the source on the net for all things BITCOIN... not so much for anything else (well maybe altcoins).  Don't come here for advice on work-life balance - we're a bunch of freaks mostly.  There are thousands of books and website about work-life balance which likely be a much better place for the advice you seek.

Hey Mr. MicG, I noticed you didn't have any of these in your closet and they're on sale now!  Huge discount.

3238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 14, 2019, 04:04:42 AM
Yeah, if your going to fake your death leaving a body behind is pretty much on the top of dumb arsed moves. Personally I think they beat the keys out of him and there is not going to be one Iota of Dna left to find. Thats not the part of the world you want to be alone with 100+mil.

For me, one of the most telling things was this orphanage.

 It's over-the-top.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50751899

Weird.  We heard his body was cremated.

"Cotten, according to his widow, died in India from Crohn’s disease complications. He was 30 years old, and in the process of philanthropy involving an Indian orphanage. Rumors through various chat groups claimed the body was not repatriated intact, and was instead cremated in Jaipur, India. EDIT: CoinSpice has been unable to independently confirm that claim."
