3221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Undervalued By Over $200 on: March 30, 2016, 12:06:53 PM
I have never heard of any Bitcoin Investment Trust till now. Yeah why would I want to buy shares in an investment firm when I could be buying real Bitcoins and having complete control over my investment. Is this geared towards big shot speculators who want to play the market? I only agree with their statement that Bitcoin is undervalued. I would be happy with $500 per coin nevertheless. Maybe we will reach the $600 threshold after the halving who knows.
3222  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Latin American economies are turning to bitcoin on: March 30, 2016, 11:48:46 AM
Perhaps the prevalent corruption among the Latin American governments and the high inflation rate force people to search for an alternative to their local currencies that have decreasing buying power every year and Bitcoin is the perfect digital currency which is relatively stable, out of the reach of corrupted officials and can be moved stealthy around.
3223  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: March 30, 2016, 11:41:07 AM
Guys the early adopters who have been collecting coins for peanuts and sold all of their stash in 2013 when the $1200 Bitcoin bubble bursted made the big bucks. Probably some of them earned millions of dollars doing absolutely nothing  Grin It takes a risk to get big money and as history has shown scared money makes no money. My point is that if you are afraid to sell coins at the right moments you will miss out on profitable opportunities and will just keep waiting for that magical moment when 1 Bitcoin will equal $10 000 which may never come.
3224  Economy / Securities / Re: In what should i invest and can i make money? on: March 30, 2016, 11:29:11 AM
Yeah mate I fully agree with you on that. Ethereum has gained a lot of momentum due to the temporary weakness of Bitcoin and is reaching the critical point for the speculators to start offloading their Ethereum reserves and I expect the price to come crashing down leaving a lot of people holding the bag. It will be the $1200 Bitcoin bubble all over again.
3225  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: World's First Physical Bitcoin wallet on: March 30, 2016, 05:51:06 AM
Can anyone confirm what will happen to the private keys after you break the seal and activate the device? I think they will be generated into the USB stick and stay there in a text file or a QR code so they should be reusable and not only a one time thing right? $8 for a disposable wallet is too much but if it can be reused as a cold storage it could make a great cheap little device for storing Bitcoins.
3226  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: March 30, 2016, 05:39:57 AM
Bitcoin doesn't have to urgently replace fiat. I think Bitcoin is complimentary to paper money and they could co-exist and synergize each other. Their advantages and disadvantages make them suitable for different purposes. You could always exchange funds from one to the other based on your needs.
3227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2016, 05:31:26 AM
Trading and investing are not always a sure thing when trying to double your Bitcoin holdings. Yes there are experienced traders and investors who could but it's not always a guaranteed profit. A better idea would be to find an untapped niche for a product or a service and offer that service or sell that particular product to people. If the demand is high enough you will be making a lot of money.
3228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal & Bitcoin on: March 30, 2016, 05:25:54 AM
PayPal don't want to watch the Bitcoin revolution from the sidelines it's going to be undoubtedly a huge market in the future so they would like to start implementing Bitcoin technology sooner than later into their business. By the way Paypal accept Bitcoin payments through their Merchant module so sellers could get paid in Bitcoin for their products and services.
3229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: March 30, 2016, 05:21:04 AM
I am storing most of my coins in a secure web wallet with 2fa on and for daily expenses I use another wallet with no transaction fees so I am trying to save as much satoshis as possible   Grin Anyway idle coins make no money by themselves however I don't like investing much so I am happy the way it is for now.
3230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinbase or Xapo for directbet ? on: March 29, 2016, 06:56:38 PM
Guys DirectBet have their own playing wallet now geared towards bettors and they even cover the transaction fees so you will save those precious satoshis  Wink It's located at https://casino.directbet.eu/ and after you register there is a tab labelled Playing Wallet. It supports multiple coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin etc.
3231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 29, 2016, 06:04:24 PM
Yeah Leicester City put everyone to shame this season and even some of the biggest clubs in Europe with almost unlimited resources failed to overtake them in the rankings. This just goes to show that spending a lot of money on a new selection doesn't bring success all the time and team spirit and motivation can go a long way. I think Leicester City's feat will be remembered for many years to come even if they don't win the trophy somehow in the remaining rounds because what they have done till now is truly remarkable.

3233  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 29, 2016, 03:33:14 PM
The halving is supposed to increase the value not decrease it. I don't think we will see a crash as big as when that $1200 bubble bursted because that super-pump was orchestrated by the speculators and everyone was riding the Bitcoin rocket to the Moon. However if the value of Bitcoin really plummets to the $200 level everyone will incur big losses and I am not sure we will ever recover from that.
3234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enormous ways to earning Bitcoin on: March 29, 2016, 01:44:46 PM
Guys don't spend hours clicking on faucets it's possibly the biggest waste of your time. Check out Bitcoin job sites like https://coinality.com/ for example where you will get rewarded according to your skill set. If you have a Reddit account go to : https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4bitcoins
3235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet with lowest transcation fee on: March 29, 2016, 12:53:54 PM
Web Bitcoin wallets are safe, it's the exchanges that usually 'get hacked into' and coins get stolen due to security malpractices. I am now using the BitGo wallet which claims to be the world's most secure Bitcoin wallet  Grin Anyway jokes aside, if you have a unique strong password only used for logging into your online wallet you should be OK.

Since you have asked for information on how to create a paper wallet you can see the creation process being explained here:

3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: March 29, 2016, 08:09:54 AM
Bitcoin is favored by criminals because it's harder to trace back to the perpetrators when they decide to cash back into the physical world if they have used obfuscation services like a coin mixer. It's not impossible to trace but it's definitely harder than asking for a ransom in marked bills in a briefcase for example. Also the crooks can be anywhere in the world and still can commit extortion without leaving their house.
3237  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: March 29, 2016, 07:54:24 AM
I honestly don't think that statistics will exceed 15% of the global population by 2020. There are a lot of regions where people have problems getting by and covering their basis needs let alone have the time to get into Bitcoin or the means to buy computer hardware. Heck there are even places with no Internet still. The Chinese account for a big portion of that but even there a lot of people live in poverty. I think in Africa for example a small number of people own a cellphone and they don't have electricity 24 hours a day and must go to recharging stations to get their cell phones recharged.
3238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese bitcoin spot exchanges OKCoin and Huobi are faking most trading volume on: March 29, 2016, 07:35:31 AM
It's sad to see businesses conducting unethical tactics and relying on fake data to get more customers but this is not peculiar for the Chinese industry. Most of their businesses tend to plagiarize other companies' products or manufacture items with misleading specifications to defraud their customers. I think the Chinese government must step in and curb this kind of frivolous behavior because it's just preposterous. The OKCoin and Huobi exchanges must be sanctioned for what they are doing.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friend had a strange idea on: March 29, 2016, 07:23:06 AM
Yeah I can attest to that. One time I had to pay a tax and I went to the bank to deposit some funds and suddenly the clerk didn't like 1 or 2 of the banknotes because they were too crumpled or torn almost half way in. Fortunately I had a surplus of cash with me so I could get it done  Grin Anyway I think there are better methods to promote Bitcoin like perhaps giving leaflets to customers at your workplace or putting up Bitcoin posters around town?

By the way the idea to use throwaway email accounts to send Bitcoin promos to random people may backfire because generally the emails will arrive into people's junk folder and they will delete anything with 'free money' in the heading on sight I think.
3240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: World's First Physical Bitcoin wallet on: March 29, 2016, 07:00:53 AM
It's a pity Coinkite cancelled their web wallet for customers but this new project of theirs seems very interesting and promising. The skinny on this Opendime thing is that it's going to be a disposable hardware wallet that you can preload with funds and gift to someone or pay for services and items. According to the details it will be better than a paper wallet because the private keys will be protected inside the device until it's 'broken' and then you can transfer the coins out of the device. You will still need a dedicated Bitcoin wallet to receive the coins into.
