Being my own savings bank and not having the risk of having it stacked under my mattress is one reason why Bitcoin instead of cash, send bitcoin anywhere in the world or off world if they have a internet connection in just a moment.
If the things I need fiat for can be paid with bitcoin I will go all in on bitcoin without a doubt!
However fancy it sounds, I will only move from fiat to btc when btc is more stable. I don't mind paying with btc, I don't mind receiving money like that. The only thing I mind is keeping ALL of my savings as btc, because if btc crashes somehow, it will create very negative situations for me to handle. And the chances of bitcoin crashing is much more than my bank turning against me, atleast right now. Exactly. Believing in the success of bitcoins is one thing. Making sane business decisions is the other. And sometimes you need to sell your bitcoins when you are sure that they will drop significantly. I mean who is ready to lose 25% of his wealth each month, like it was the case in the last year. Sometimes even 25% on a day. Holding when you anticipate that would simply be stupid. Regardless of how you think about bitcoins. Learning to put everything on the table is something i had to learn the hard way too.  |

My mistake is getting into bitcoins in the first place.
Over the past couple of years I've invested and built a small mining farm. Overall I made some profit, just a few hundred dollars.
But to think about all the time and effort I spent doing all of that just for a few hundred dollars... It's almost a waste of time!
If you feel that your mistake was getting into bitcoins in the first place, then why are you still here ? I think that you shouldn't look at it only profit wise. Sure, you made a financial error, but that doesn't mean your next move is going to be bad one as well. I suggest you re-asses your moves, and don't give up on bitcoin as a whole, judging by a single error you made. cheers I agree. It might have been an financial error but please look around in the community. There is rarely someone who wasnt hit badly by some loss. And you seems to really have been not the hardest loss. The thing you should do is seeing it as a learning process. You know are smarter than before and you earning bitcoins gets more likely now. |

do not trust bc.i they do not show you all network transactions even the number of them now they have some anti-spam filters which ignore incoming chained unconfirmed transactions Yeah, someone told me that too today. I think thats unbelievably stupid. How can they filter out the transactions? It does not make sense at all. At least you can still see when the network gets spammed. When the unconfirmet transactions are higher than 2000 then its most probably the case. I mean real transactions are stuck and still get counted. But a stupid move of them for sure.  |

Bitcoin.de gibt Userdaten an die Polizei weiter wenn die fragen. Hab ich von jemandem gehört der schlechte Coins erhalten hatte und die dann dort verkauft hat.
Das lese ich auch öfter aber ich würde gerne mal Beweise für sowas sehen. Wenn mir einer meine X-Box One abkauft mit dem geklauten Geld seiner Oma steht auch nicht die Polizei bei mir. Ich weiß der vergleich hinkt leicht... Ja Beweise... ich hab mit demjenigen gesprochen. Er tauscht öfters mal Bitcoins hin und her. Und er meinte er tausche nur wenn er eine Kopie vom Perso machen darf. Eben weil er mal Besuch von den Uniformierten erhalten habe weil er Coins, die er erhalten hatte, bei bitcoin.de verkauft hat und die Polizei dann, muss ja, über Bitcoin.de erhalten hat. Er meinte er konnte es aber glücklicherweise auflösen weil er denjenigen irgendwie anders identifizieren konnte. Seitdem kopiert er den Perso da er dann immer zeigen kann wer derjenige war. |

Bezüglich der Wechseladressen:
Mir hat mal jemand erklärt das du dir das vorstellen musst als wenn du etwas mit einen sagen wir mal 20 Euro Schein bezahlst was nur z.B. 3 Euro kostet.
Du kannst den 20 Euro schein ja schlecht zerreißen so dass er quasi 3 Euro wert ist. Also bezahlst du mit den ganzen 20 Euro Schein und bekommst dann 17 Euro Wechselgeld zurück. Diese 17 Euro steckst du in deine Geldbörse wo du auch dein 20 Euro Schein her hast.
Bis hierhin ist das eine durchaus treffende Erklärung. Da die Bitcoin Blockchain aber transparent ist hat Electrum sich da was einfallen lassen.
Soweit ich weiß gab es das Konzept schon vor Electrum, aber das ist denke ich nicht so wichtig. Wenn du jetzt z.B. 0,3 BTC versenden willst und hast auf deiner BTC Adresse 1BTC liegen wird wie oben beschrieben eben dieser ganze 1 BTC versendet. Als Wechselgeld bekommst du dann 0,7 BTC zurück.
Da aber der Empfänger der 0,3 BTC nun nachschauen könnte wieviel BTC du auf der Adresse liegen hast von der du versendet hast, weil die Blockchain eben transparent ist, könnte er nun rein theoretisch natürlich versuchen diese Adresse zu hacken.
Als Empfänger ist mir aber auch die Wechselgeldadresse bekannt, ist ja teil der Überweisung. Viel wichtiger, aber: wissen welche Adresse wieviel Bitcoin erhält macht es nicht einfacher oder schwerer diese zu "hacken". Das mehrfache verwenden einer Adresse als "Absender" (es gibt technisch keine Absenderaddresse, sondern immer nur eine alte Überweisung die referenziert wird) hingegen kann die Sicherheit minimal senken. Beim erstellen einer Überweisung wird der/werden die öffentliche(n) Schlüssel mit veröffentlicht. Diese Schlüssel sind bis zur ersten nicht bekannt und daher gibt es einen weiteren Schritt zu knacken ehe man an den privaten Schlüssel kommt. Adresse -> öffentlicher Schlüssel -> private Schlüssel. Das ist zur Zeit Bitcoins einziger Schutz gegen mögliche Quantenrechner und ist entsprechend wenig relevant. Bei 1 BTC sicherlich nicht sehr wahrscheinlich. Aber nehm doch einfach mal den Fall an du hättest da 20 BTC liegen und das Wechselgeld wären 19,7 BTC die auf deine alte Adresse zurückgehen würden. Da würde der Anreiz des hackings natürlich größer sein. Oder ihr kennt euch sogar und er erpresst dich. Alles rein hypothetisch natürlich.
Kurz um die Wechseladresse hat seinen eigentlichen Sinn darin andere nicht wissen zu lassen über wieviel Geld du verfügst.
Nein, dafür wird empfohlen für jeden empfang(!) von BTC eine neue Adresse zu nutzen. Wechselgeld ist eine Notwendigkeit da Bitcoin immer auf eine alte Überweisung verweist und diese vollständig verwendet werden muss. Das benutzen einer neuen Adresse für das Wechselgeld erschwert es dritten zu unterscheiden zwischen der Adresse des Empfängers und der Wechselgeldaddresse des Senders. Es könnte ja auch sein das ich gerade 19,7 BTC an dich versendet habe und 0,3 als Wechselgeld erhalte. Du weißt natürlich wieviel ich Dir geschickt habe und daher auch wieviel ich (mindestens) vorher hatte und wieviel ich als Wechselgeld erhalten habe. Da die meisten Leute wahrscheinlich kaum selbst ihr Wechselgeld auf eine andere Adresse in ihrer Wallet senden um sich hier zu schützen macht dies Electrum eben automatisch bzw. man hat sich diese Konstruktion ausgedacht.
Finde ich sehr gut.
Wie gesagt wenn du mir von Adresse 1l2e1lke32mkel2km2elkm2e2lkem jetzt 0,3 BTC sendest und es waren 20BTC drauf und das Wechselgeld von 19,7 BTC geht auch an diese Adresse kann ich das leicht auf blockchain.ino einsehen.
Da das Wechselgeld aber an eine andere deiner Adressen geht, eine Adresse die ich nun eben nicht kenne, weiß ich auch nicht wieviel BTC du nun in deiner wallet hast.
Hoffe das ist einigermaßen verständlich gewesen.Ist nicht ganz akkurat runtergeschrieben.
Wie gesagt Wechselgeld ist eine technische Notwendigkeit und von daher kann man das auch gleich richtig machen und eine neue Adresse dafür nutzen. Jetzt hast mein Kommentar ja richtig auseinandergepflückt. Aber danke dass da nochmal jemand drauf eingeht der technisch wesentlich tiefer drinzustecken scheint. Wie gesagt so ungefähr wurde es mir mal berichtet. Das mit dem Hack war nur als rein hypothetisch anzunehmen.Logo ist es sehr unwahrscheinlich. Und das die Wechseladressen neben ihrer technischen Notwendigkeit auch einen Sinn zur Sicherheit haben hast du ja auch bestätigt.  Ich denke die größte Gefahr kommt davon wenn man diese Wechseladressen dann leert. Das normale Verhalten der Clients ist nicht zu fragen von wo man geld verschickt. Dann wird eine Zahlung zB aus Wechseladressencoins zusammengesetzt und schon sind alle Transaktionen verbunden die vorher passiert sind. Lösen kann man das eigentlich nur indem man die Adressen reinigt, also so versenden dass niemand verknüpfen kann. Da muss man am Anfang schon ein wenig drüber nachdenken wie das alles zusammenhängt. |

Du kannst bei Electrum auch ohne Fee senden. Wenn du den Betrag eingegeben hast und dann die Fee auf 0 setzen. Du musst aber aufpassen, wenn du im Betragfeld noch mal tippst wird die Gebühr zurückgesetzt. Die Electrumserver sagen dir dann wenn die Gebühr zu niedrig ist für Größe und alter der Coins. Wenn du wissen willst ob die Transaktion durchgehen wird dann schau auf https://blockchain.info/de/unconfirmed-transactions und wenn die Anzahl unter 2000 ist dann gibt es kein Spamproblem. Unter 3T sollte auch noch gehen. Ich würd mich nicht auf die Zahlen von bc.i verlassen, gerade nicht wenn es um wenige Gebühren und/oder geringe Beträge geht. I think your warning would probably be more appropriate when he first first stated giving away things, although I think he has since established himself as being someone is not a scammer. I will admit I am very impressed by how he bought you off. If you used your brain for a moment you would realize that the time of a high trust rating is exactly when he would scam. Then i suggest you observe all of BiPolarBob's actions. Till now there is simply no chance he could scam. He has the money and gives it away, he doesnt ask for anything. Even when he would buy trust, did you calculate how much he tipped away? Which enourmous scam can you imagine that would justify that amount of payment for trust ratings? And even when he should start something... people would be very cautious exactly because his previous actions would look like buying trust then. So i really dont see a problem yet. |

Is the bot able to handle Btc and Ltc lending as well? Or does it solely work with USD?
It only works on USD. I wonder if the bot works fully fine now. I stopped using bitfinex when all the complaints started. Withdraws, wrong orderbooks, wrong swap payments, no answers and so on. It reminded me too much on the beginning of problems on exchanges that afterwards claimed being hacked... or so. It worked great when i used it and i had a lot of ideas to optimize it but the work-reward is not so high so that i didnt work on it. Yea IDK what to think about Bitfinex, I like them and the returns are nice, I would like to see another audit be done. I guess we will see. The bot seems neat, I would really like support for Btc and Ltc to make it more, "complete", but I will take what I can get. Have my brother working on what set up costs would be since I don't own a server. As of right now, if it really can get about 20% better returns, then the amount I have deposited would about break me even with server costs every month, but only have the money lent out for a couple of days at a time would help liquidity. See my post above about free hosting. I'm planning on forking this to work with BTC as well, as it doesn't look like it would be too hard to do. All this talk about "earning" bitcoins by clicking on faucets, or selling your sig, or gambling is ridiculous. You will earn pennies a day, at most.
Do something productive and get paid to do it, and if you want bitcoins, then buy them. If you have no skill, check out Amazon's Mechanical Turk. You will earn far more working on those tasks than by clicking on faucets or spamming these forums with meaningless posts.
You are right. Posting for earning makes no sense... except when you think about all the members on bitcointalk that come from developing countries. Payment rates of 1-3USD per day for work in these countries might make signature campaigns look like a way to get rich quick. Even when someone in developed countries would do this with several accounts as a fulltime job... it might work for him. |

That's really good news, imo. I hope the keep the limit even after he returns. Pay-per-post campaigns are already treading on thin-ice. They are fine if they're well regulated but when people are dropping 400 posts a week, that's completely nuts and there's no way it can all be contributing something useful. In fact its possible. But it would be more like a fulltime job. And constructive is possible too. There are a couple of ways to make it possible but as far as i see it, with posting 100+ a week, i could post much much more if i would dedicate the time. Its not worth it though. And even when you do it for taking part in the community the best possible way, to get all infos about new investments, risks and so on, it is still very time consuming. Add to that... there are alot of people on here that come from countries where a usual worker might earn 1-3 USD per day. Signature campaigns might look like a way to get rich for them. |

I think that the people that have such needs don't care about paying with credit card or bitcoin. They want (need) to have this service and are willing to pay with which they can to have this. So bitcoin or credit card is the same for them.

Everyone needs money, everyone wants money, and i don't think that wealth can be boring any day, yes but when you are wealthy many things comes to your mind and the first thing is how can I increase my wealth or double it, it is not boring but wealthy people are continuously involved in thinking how to take care of their wealth.
Every non rich guy include me say that wealth is everything, and thats why we always work hardly to reach it. But some of my friends who born in rich family, stated that they are bored with their wealth which they couldnt really enjoy it. But, actually it depends on our own perception. These persons are different. They cant value their riches. They dont know how much work was involved to get this money. So they have money and time and nothing to do. It would have been better for them when they would have to learn how it is to create something or to live on nothing more than what you can create with your own work. |

Kleiner Zwischenstand: Ich bin erst mal absolut positiv überrascht! Ich habe mich also Nachts entschlossen ein Notebook über diesen Service zu kaufen, schrieb die PN Nachts. What do you think of the current upwards trend? I bought when it went over $295 since it broke the level of 15-17th. But it went down now and i wonder if it will turn into a small crash. Though on the month chart it seems its still good in an uptrend. So am i right that the price might go down to 283$ and then goes up again? I think there is a strong resistance line at that price.

What is your evidence for support at 283? Sure, on a micro scale it seems to have bounced for now, but I don't see it in the longer term charts. See http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitfinexUSD#rg30zigHourlyztgSzm1g10zm2g25zvI learned that resistance and support are found when you check the last trading. A restistance and support is the same, it only depends on where the current price is how it is named then. And these lines are recognized by the price having to push with might through it. Going up and down through it with large candles. Of course the price drops back on these lines too. So when i look at the chart i see around 283 USD that on 10th, 16th and 24th the line was broken. And it happened with huge force, big candles. On top the line leat to bouncing of the price. That happened on 13th, 18th and a slightly on 21th. Im not a pro trader but thats how i would read it. Please correct me when im wrong. Normally i learned resistance lines are in fact more of a resistance area. But this area is pretty thin so that one might speak of a line too. I guess that's fair. We'll see what happens. I hope im right. At the end a resistance can be broken with enough force, so a bit candle. I wonder what will happen. I mean if i would have a couple thousand btc i might try to short them and break through the resistance by force. Then sell my shorts, that have a high leverage of course. Im not sure if that works since i never had the chance to test it. Though it might be that someone other does these things. By the way... what do you guys think about the WhaleClub. Oh man... Jetzt hab ich zwei Stunden damit verbracht rauszufinden warum ich den Spreadbot nicht aufrufen kann nach dem einrichten. Im rootverzeichnis konnte ich php sachen aufrufen aber sobald ich im spreadbotverzeichnis oder darunter war gibt es eine weiße Seite in allen browsern. Jetzt habe ich extra noch xampp portable installiert (nutze normal uniform server) und wenn ich mir die eingerichtete datenbank ansehen will meint phpmyadmin dass der Zugriff durch mein Antivirus blockiert wird. :O Und wirklich, nachdem ich Kaspersky deaktiviert habe kann ich den Spreadbot aufrufen. Ich weiß aber gar nicht wie ich das whitelisten soll. Was blockt kaspersky denn? Den namen spreadbot? Gibt es eine Malware die so heißt? Aber Darkwinde, dein Tutorial ist schon mal super. Übrigens... im config.json sind alle strategien bis auf arbi abgeschaltet. Welche sollte ich denn aktivieren? Puh, mir ist da nichts bekannt. Whitelisting müsste normal in einer der Untermenüs versteckt sein. Hab leider anders AntiVir sonst hätte ich dir HoTo machen können Ich hab schon im offiziellen Supportforum gefragt aber warte noch auf eine Antwort. Ich denke es muss am Namen liegen weil alles unterhalb bzw innerhalb des Ordners ging nicht. |
