BItcoin works anonymously which create two problems:
1. Bitcoin transaction is untraceble which make it heaven for criminals (as government think).
2. As governement can't track who get funds they can't get tax on those transactions.
There may be other reasons too.

But no any countries can't stop or shut down bitcoin network so that banned is only on doing exchange of bitcoin to local currency what i know till now.

I think most used one is web wallet because people including me find it easy to store bitcoin without knowing how actually bitcoin and blockchain technology works.

Bitcoin has already started to impact world financial system. Banks are thinking to implement blockchain technology. Lots of countries government already started to get fear from bitcoin because they will be unable to track financial transaction and get tax from those.

I had read one news about a massive gold reserve has been found in china a few days ago. I think this can be one of the many reason for its price to go down.
