When I want to enable forging for my test Node it says Acces Denied.
Does anybody have a clue on how I can fix this?
Thx,
1. make sure you're on your node ip and not the lisk.io login 2. make sure your passphrase has the "" around the passphrase like ["passphrase"] and not [Passphrase] in the config file 3. restart the node possibly if you were able to forge before

Once you completed the exchange a window popped with the address and passphrase. It gives you the option to download the credentials to a text file and afterwards you close the dialog box by "accepting" or basically saying that you've recorded the pass phrase.
THIS is the problem, right here. The window should not have closed (i.e, "trusted you") after you clicked "accept". The window should have kept going, stopped displaying your pass phrase, and said "Prove to me you've got it, buddy. Type it in right now while I'm not showing it to you, or we're going to a password reset screen." If the GUI had been set up like THIS, none of us would be having this conversation right now. Huh this never happened to me... It just shut.. WTF is that all about? I saved the keys. What do I do now then? The answer is obviously, VERIFY YOUR DAMN KEYS. Stop rolling the dice on your money and take care of your shit. Really, wtf people. sure... that's quite usual, blame it on the users... Yes, It is their fault. If they would have taken care of their shit 3 weeks ago we would be on track for the release. This comment just fucking blew my mind. I have now lost all my faith in humanity. "Would have" and "could have"... It is what it is... The situation is: we need more people to validate their keys. Let's put our energy on that instead of complaining for the next 3 weeks. I don't think it's going to help. You can see that most of the people who didn't validate their keys are skipping it on purpose. Some dudes are actively fighting against people trying to explain why they should validate. like you said, it is what it is. Well, whatever Someday Lisk will launch, with or without those people validating their keys. I can only advise to do so, and if not: don't complain that you lost your ICO funds because you didn't save your passphrase(s) correctly (while you thought you did). that's why I gave up. Anyone else with me on making page 420 all Cannabis gifs?

fuck, thank you. why can't all the unvalidated people be more smart, useful, insightful, talented and generally damn awesome, like this amazing person here!

Question. I have my passphrases downloaded and stored on a usb drive. MUST I "validate passphrase"? I don't want to share my private key... the whole point of a public and private key is never to share your private key....
You must validate your keys, as I know it is mandatory and that is why we have delay because a lot of people didn't validate their keys I really don't want to. My keys have been accepted, I have stored them offline. I don't see the reason to validate the keys. It doesn't feel right to me... How can you know your keys accepted if you didn't validated them? Once you completed the exchange a window popped with the address and passphrase. It gives you the option to download the credentials to a text file and afterwards you close the dialog box by "accepting" or basically saying that you've recorded the pass phrase. And this is why we can't have nice things.

| Signatures | Stakes | Total LISK Received | Week_One | 43 | 215 | 1007 | Week_Two | 51 | 204 | 806 | Week_Three | 117 | 351 | 604 | Week_Four | 78 | 156 | 403 | Week_Five | 67 | 67 | 201 |
What does this data mean? Here's an even more simple breakdown written:- If you had the signature since Week One, you will receive a total of 1007 LISK
- If you had the signature since Week Two, you will receive a total of 806 LISK
- If you had the signature since Week Three, you will receive a total of 604 LISK
- If you had the signature since Week Four, you will receive a total of 403 LISK
- If you had the signature since Week Five, you will receive a total of 201 LISK
Important! Please Read! If you participated in the ICO and have validated your wallet address, you may expedite this process by sending me a PM from the BCT account associated with the signature. During the first weeks of launch I will personally distribute the bounty. If you did not participate in the ICO, you will have to wait after the launch. I will be contacting those who have not received their bounty through BCT. Thanks for supporting Lisk, more updates on other bounties coming soon. Joel you guys are lucky I didn't put my name down for these bounties though I was here for most of them.

when launch exange?
did you validate your keys?
|

Validate your ICO Passphrase! Important! Every ICO participant should do it! Guys I don't understand it. Why should I risk security issues again. I saved the file. Is there really the possibility that its wrong? Kidding me? With bitcoin you try to make paperwallets offline to be sure, that there is no hacking possibility and I should repeatedly risk it here? The fact that you are complaining about having to check your passphrase to make sure it's valid is funny as shit. Someone needs to put down the joint and focus on lisk. only thing left to do now. fuck exhale, inhale only like a boss.

i have a problem upon the validation i noticed that i have another passphrase, not the one of my exchange, how this is possible? the system screwed it at the time of my exchange? how can i fix this?
At some point did you generate a new passphrase? Make sure no spaces are trailing in the passphrase (spaces after phrase is a common error when copying/pasting)? it's not about space, the key associated with this passphrase is different than the one the site is asking me, i don't remember about generating two if you did not confirm you saved your keys, it will generate a new key every time I think. If its not that then contact support to get a new key that you can validate.

I got an email for validating my passphrase. Is this legit? Should I validate it or is this send by hackers?
Should I do this?
Also when can we get the bounties for doing the facebook, twitter and newsletter sign up?
Thanks
omfg please do it, we are all waiting here because of you guys who did not do it. Bonuses will be delayed for the same amount of time launch is delayed so hurry up and validate if you want your damn bounty!

If there was an ulterior motive for the delay, I'd guess it's Waze.
If Lisk can be officially bought and sold on April 11, I've heard a lot of people express that they want to dump some Lisk for Waze since the first day of that ICO is April 12, and you get a 20% bonus on that day only.
If you support Lisk, this is probably a good thing. ICO investors might be less likely to dump their Lisk if they don't have a good reason for the funds.
NOTE: Yes, I have a Waze signature. I support both projects which is exactly why I've been seeing people talk about both projects. I follow both communities.
you mean that driving app that google owns?

Friend of mine bough Liks on begining of ICO and 2 weeks ago she went to trip around the world and it will last 6 months but passphrases left at home. What in her case?
tell her to stop fucking us over. Have her log in and get her damn keys, there's internet all over the world and I doubt she'll be in a dead zone for 6 months. She is mine facebook friend, and she live on other continent, man think before u say something. bro you think before you say something. You obviously don't understand that living on another continent does not mean you cannot get your key. Maybe you and your friend should grow a brain first. The fact still remains that because your friend did not do anything with her keys, she is one of the reasons we are having this argument to begin with. Tell her to put down the Mai Tai and do some fucking work

Right quit complaining and you ass bags needed to wait only to get your btc or whatever confirmed to make the friggin keys. Get to stepping. Ps if you invest and don't follow thru your an idiot and should lose you $ it's called a stupid tax
+1 on stupid tax

LISKHQ, consider how many ACTIVE people you alienated because of a small percentage of idiots. You might do more damage in reputation from the active community then by those who already show they don't care about the future of this project by not doing anything with their keys.
for every 1 person in here commenting, there are 50 more thinking the same thing.
|
|
|
a better procedure would be to send emails today, delay one additional week and then it's screw you if you didn't pick up the keys.
|
|
|
That's what I do. Maybe you should figure out how to do it, it's not hard.
If you are a merchant and get an order and decide to wait 3 days to ship it, that time wasted you future sales. Guaranteed. Time = Money. Well but it might be your skill. that delayed the order too. In some sense TImé, money might seem right. But in real in never is. Wherever you work, its always your value that matters. The time is just an illusion. if you want to get deep, everything is an illusion. All truth is subjective to ones own personal experiences.
