Not the wisest solution but you can try the following : -

1.Put the following in one of your login scripts (/etc/profile, ~/.xinitrc, ...):

Code:
export LANG="<your language>.UTF-8"

2.Try wiping the config files, totally uninstalling Xfce and some other packages related, and then installing it again.

3222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The famous police "Zoomer" Scammed me for $40 bitcoins on: October 03, 2016, 04:52:53 PM

My quote from one of the zoomer alt threads and see how accurate it is,

Obviously it's a bought account.I have tagged scammers in bitcointalk even before they scammed. So here's my prediction,Zoomer is a bought account by farming for cheap and soon they will pull out a scam by usin their "hero" member status. If I want to shoot blind arrows,I think they could be an alt of ElMoIsEvil.

That is correct on so many levels mate.Sometimes I feel I should open a thread where members would ask me whether to trade with particular members or not.My opinions would surely help them save a few bucks.Sigh...
3223  Economy / Lending / Re: $2 loan in Bitcoin. on: October 02, 2016, 07:18:15 PM
Old Robertt trying to build reputation by asking smaller loans again.Give up already.Anyone willing to fund the loan request must consider his previous profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=704654 ,he is a known scammer around. Please don't encourage scammers by providing them services.Funding one request will allow him to use it as a tool to ask for a bigger one next time.

EDIT : Default signatures are breaking, the entire content is not fitting on the forum's signature space. After changing the fonts size looks okay.

EDIT 2 : I'm withdrawing my application since I got accepted in other signature campaign I posted before this one came-up.Good luck Lutpin,it's always a pleasure to be part of your campaigns. Smiley

So I came across this member veleten and his following post : -

tried the service
once yo've downloaded the exe client
and registered
at https://safe-inet.com,(which comes in both english and russian)
login
get a free code from the topic and activate 24hr free test VPN
(which somehow happened to be the 21 hr free VPN later on)
if you like to risk-run the client Smiley
install vpn,use your login and pass for safe-inet as the vpn credentials
good to go
you get:
17 different countries' servers,MORE THAN 20 double VPN setups,a few tripple VPN setups,
own lightweight client with connection control and  automatic network shutdown on diconnect
My proxy/ip detection services described connection as suspected network sharing device, tested >5 countries
including sweden,us,germany,france and uk.
all the countries displayed correctly,no IP leakage or flagged as spam source
Connection is fast , no complaints about the quality of the route.
TS claims no logs(who doesn't,lol) and no sniffing, total anonimity.
Good:fast, easy to use, lightweight client, decent choice of countries, double VPN setups, shuts your network on disconnects automatically
many payment options, including Bitcoin, almost instant access(in theory, payments processing not tested) to secure VPN =register-setup-connect took less than 5 min
Bad:interface is not 100% user friendly,no skype support(ICQ,reallly ? hello 1999?)
Ugly:price 1.3$/24h and 190$ yearly subscription... cut the yearly subscription price in half, the price might start to look adequate tbh

Verdict:looks like a quality, but overpriced service for those who need privacy and are willing to pay some extra buck.

Forget the post, after searching for the red-bold address within bitcointalk, you will be linked to various threads such as : -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1200700.msg15219610#msg15219610
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1481327.msg14929956#msg14929956

The address is blacklisted as a spammy coin stealing address by all the faucet owners. For which,I'm assuming the following member is responsible for stealing coins from various faucets.Deserves Negative ?

Why would you make a brand new account after your thread for "Giving fake University degrees got deleted" ? From a document scammer, you became a bitcoin lender real quick, mate.Shut this shit down before it gets deleted.
3230  Other / Meta / Re: Rules of Self-Moderated Threads on: September 27, 2016, 05:18:12 AM
I'm okay with the way it's working right now.I tend to have no-tolerance over some of the Yo-Bit signature posters ,expect a few good ones.I can simply add a warning that members with Yo-Bit signature and low quality posts are not allowed to comment on this thread, your replies may get deleted if I find them spammy.Nothing wrong with that I feel.
3231  Other / Meta / Re: Donator Status on: September 27, 2016, 05:13:01 AM
Is the donator status still priced at 1BTC? If so, should that be lowered to the current price range of a Bitcoin? Or probably changed it to a USD value instead, to properly reflect a better price for donating.

What do you guys think?
The following topic has been discussed over and over.

i am not going to pay 22,125$ to get VIP status
Don't see it as $22,125 but rather as 50BTC, now and then.

i would like to donate
You can donate any amount you want to if you feel the urge to donate something to the forum.

they need to update the price
Already discussed each 2 sites of this thread, several reasons speaking against it,
the main ones are 1) it would be unfair to all current donator/vip users and 2) the forum doesn't depend on donations anymore.

Yeah, its kinda strange that this has not been adjusted with the rise in bitcoin price.  As it is, the donation is not for someone like me who got BTC recently, but rather for people who were with it from the beginning.  I would donate something, but no way would I donate 10 btc (or 50!!!) at these prices.

So 50 BTC is ~ 12k usd, there are not many who can afford this, and even if I could I would donate it to something like doctors without borders.

I would however be happy to donate $5 usd or similar, but thousands to an internet forum is silly.  I suggest that either rates are adjusted, or new categories are added.

You can donate any amount you wish: https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html

The prices of ranks may seem silly now but won't be changed because it's unfair to the others who will have paid much more for their rank. I think theymos has mentioned the possibility of adding newer ranks in the future but it's not a priority or really needed.

Hope that clears all your doubts.......might as well lock the thread..
3232  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't non productive topics be moved from Bitcoin Discussion to Off-Topic? on: September 26, 2016, 05:53:49 PM
A month ago I reported his. They are all still spamming away. Untroubled by mods or admin.
You said how obvious it all was. The mods/admin could at least communicate about this. Zilch. Nothing. No action.
Banning a account and moving a thread are two different things.Certainly, both actions lead to the well maintained forum but can you imagine how ambiguous it is to go through the post history of all the mentioned accounts and ban them one by one ? I'm not taking sides but the harsh truth is ..it's not upto you or me to ban the accounts. We do our part by reporting them to the Global Mods, rest is their call.
3233  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't non productive topics be moved from Bitcoin Discussion to Off-Topic? on: September 26, 2016, 05:31:01 PM
I don't think you need to make a big deal out of it.If I come across a topic that is not constructive on Bitcoin Discussion,I report it and it is always taken care of.

Hey guys,

I need a consultation via Skype on how to install mod_cloudflare on CentOS 6.8 / Apache 2.4.23.
The problem is that I don't have apxs on my server and cannot install httpd-devel because it shows "no package httpd-devel available".

If you know how to fix this, name your price and let's start
I can do this.Check your Pm.

3237  Economy / Services / Re: help: is this a possible scam email or real? Domain names in china? on: September 19, 2016, 05:17:28 AM
It is not a possible scam but a good marketing technique for a domain provider company. Those domains listed above are easily available for purchase on other sites like goDaddy. The sender of the email might convince you to buy the related domains for a higher price than it's current value.Directly check with your domain provider if it's legitimate. They can't stop the purchase if the buyer wants to buy it anyway since I just tried to purchase the first two domains from goDaddy and they're giving them for as cheap as $2 and nope they don't care if the similar domain name is already registered. If you're really insecure that those domains can direct your traffic to another webpage ,you may go ahead and purchase them but I advise you not to.
3238  Economy / Services / Re: [Looking for] Community Manager for Social Gambling Website on: September 18, 2016, 12:47:50 PM
Pm you our CV's? Do they have linkedin for gambling portfolios ? I doubt it.No University offers a full time Bachelors in Social Media Management course and hence its futile to ask for CV's in a place where people love anonymity at it's finest.I've the "must-haves",certainly can't put them in a Resume.Let me know.

What if I put a accounts as colletoral like Paypal or something else?

Not happening since the accounts can be regained by resetting the passwords. Moreover,it's easy to purchase verified accounts here so never know if that is your original account. Please read the stickies to see what is termed as a 'valid collateral'.
