3223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [SERVICE] UK based Escrow - flat rate of 0.5% on: October 31, 2012, 07:26:28 PM
how do you secure your funds? If you just have them in your wallet that isn't going to be safe enough. Compared to my escrow which host addresses on a paper wallet, then using armory on an offline computer sign the transactions. I think you need to learn the community more than offering a service like this. Clearly security was not thought of.
3224  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1 or 0. The Binary Guessing Game. on: October 31, 2012, 07:08:32 AM
Yea if you can't insert images on a forum, I really doubt your taking the security of funds seriously and probably shouldn't be running a game.
3225  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Camming Site on: October 30, 2012, 10:13:25 PM
"Ninja Nips" lost her electricity due to the hurricane yesterday so she is delaying the show. The tentative new date is this Thursday.

That is probably smart, I just got my internet back like 2 mins ago, so things are bad
3226  Economy / Lending / Re: I'm a girl looking for a loan on: October 29, 2012, 08:50:14 PM
Really if your lending on gender LOL I personally feel bad, cause that means you have no interaction with anyone of the opposite gender and that is sad.

It be nice to know how to you calculate how much a download will cost, is it based on size and what is it per unit of measure.

So in thinking about how to create a sustainable Bitcoin Bank, I focused on a few key things:
1) keep the operating costs super low except in areas where there is a unique and important consumer value proposition
2) make it easy to access the bank and your balances within the context of low operating costs
3) keep the fees charged to customers as low as possible
4) allow third parties to build busineses on top of our business
3231  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone here run there own IRC network? on: October 21, 2012, 11:52:33 PM
I am still looking for someone that has an IRC Network of ANY SIZE GREATER than 25, this could drive traffic to your IRC network, and make you some coins in the process!
3232  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: A Java Applet Bitcoin Miner? Help? on: October 21, 2012, 07:31:20 PM
I wouldn't make one, it would be a lot of energy and time for a little or no pay off. Plus people would noticed that there CPU's were spinning up when they visited your site, and probably stop. So this is a horrible idea.

3234  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free Bitcoins Listing on: October 21, 2012, 03:53:01 AM

I would disregard using that, it is a site, that uses insecure methods of tracking your web where abouts, I would like to point out if you have chrome this would be the better choice https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84112.0 it is an extension all data is on your computer. Best part all open source you can see that I am not taking advance of you or use methods to that would comprise your web history.
3235  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: October 19, 2012, 07:36:37 PM
I haven't received a mail nor my coins, even though I submitted a claim as soon as the claim site went live. Anyone else with the same problem?

I just got an email saying my bitcoins were processed, no coins
3236  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone here run there own IRC network? on: October 19, 2012, 05:04:02 PM
If your IRC network, matches these points then PM me so we can talk...

  • You personally are the network admin
  • Has over 100 users that are active
  • Allows bots to run on network
  • Has service bots (I.E. chanserv,nickserv)

You neglected to specify the reason for why somebody matching the description should wish to contact you... Huh

No I said to talk, that person matches those and wants to talk that is cool, otherwise no information will be public until I want it public.

GitHub is down again for the second time in the span of a month.

Here’s their status update posted at 1:05 p.m.

We’re experiencing some connectivity issues at the moment. GitHub.com is currently unavailable while we resolve this.

Last month,  a database migration went awry  on GitHub causing an outage and poor availability.

(We will update about the GitHub outage as it become available)
