3221  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can we trust Blockchain.com? (Poll) on: March 04, 2019, 05:06:27 PM
<snip >

I agree with you, even if the giveaway is high, is just a terrible idea to give our information to those businesses. I don't think they would sell it, but no one know when they could get hacked.

i dont think that their give away is high because a giveaway usually means little to less  .  but its okay and you must not worry alot to give your information because its obvious that blockchain.com is 100 percent legit and trusted for a long time up until today  .  not unless you will get a phishing email or invitation  , that simply means it is your own fault and not blockchain if ever something bad happend to your account and info  .
Their giveaway is high to be fair because they 100% pay you 25$ in just uploading KYC documents. If anyone plans to use blockchain.info for long term, maybe it worths tu upload now and get those 25$ because probably they'll require KYC in anyway to use their service, why not to benefit now especially when you have 100% legal transactions and have nothing to worry about.
Also it has nothing to do with email spoofing because that message appears on blockchain.info's website and mobile app.
3222  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain project on: March 04, 2019, 04:12:00 PM
So you are talking about blockchain based file sharing website which is targeted to pdf files. Personally I think current p2p file sharing system is pretty good. I think releasing of your idea will result in following: If people upload pdf files (which can be huge in size, depends on pages and whether it's text or images), size of blockchain will get bigger everytime, also people who run node will have to keep uploaded files and it will take a huge amount of free space.
Btw I think this will be a nice addition to your knowledge in releasing of your project: https://medium.com/@mycoralhealth/code-your-own-blockchain-in-less-than-200-lines-of-go-e296282bcffc
3223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Issues with contact less payments. on: March 03, 2019, 08:12:41 PM
I've seen some of those contactless ATM on my city, and I have never used it because i've heard bad stories about it. Apparently banks have configured by default that you can withdraw X amount of fiat through the ATM with the contactless card only, without even asking for any passwords, so if you lost the card it's already too late, you are going to lose money. Luckily the amounts you can withdraw are limit but still it's a pain in the ass. Some banks have it at $50, others at $300 or more. There's people removing their chips from their debit cards. There are tutorials on how to do it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEhgf4PpRdo

Anything that allows to spend money without a password is just dumb, disable or remove it.
No, no, where have you seen that? You can withdraw money contactless with visa/master card, upi cards and etc. Yeah, the money you can withdraw is limited but it's not like put card and you'll withdraw. You don't need to enter pin but when you try to withdraw contractless, usually you receive sms in your mobile phone which you have to enter instead of pin. That's very great to be fair.
Also OP, yeah, you can get 16 number, expiry date and card name even from your smartphone if it has NFC support, even touching and one special app is enough for that but you can't get that three number that's placed on back.
Also if unexpected payment happens, banks will help you to get money back. Doesn't matter if happened to a lot of members at the same time because as we know similar thing had happened when amazon was hacked and everything was solved easily.
3224  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What if? Satoshi Nakamoto's identity was public information on: March 03, 2019, 07:09:21 PM
First of all lets start off with the obvious and that Satoshi's health and well being could be put in harms way if his identity was revealed. He's an enemy to the banks and to the government. Probably why he remained security conscious when creating Bitcoin. Bitcoin has the potential to topple the control of the government and provide a decentralized way of trading goods. Most of the time anonymously. Therefore I think that the government and banks would not take it lightly into knowing the identity of Satoshi and could lead to assassination attempts and all sorts. Though the damage is done they would likely just pin some shit on him and lock him up for life preventing him from working on any other projects that may or may not be doing. Satoshi holds a great amount of coins which would also expose him to harm from the public.
As you say and I agree you too, revealing his identity could put him in trouble because what he did was bad for government, his life could easily end up bad. Also what do Theymos and some other members know? I have one thing to think too: Since satoshi's identity would damage him, to leave open gates to reveal satoshi's identity could damage forum's staff. So to my mind Theymos would probably delete any kind of information that could link us to satoshi.
On another hand there is no doubt satoshi would return to this forum or crypto world but in a very different and innocent way. There is no doubt he knew how to protect his identity well. So from this reason, wonder if he was back to bitmixer? It was first mixer, yeah? So since he created bitcoin, would work on better ways of protecting anonymity because for himself and in general too, we know he owns bitcoin so he needs to find greatest ways to get them safely. Maybe he created mixer and wanted to test how well it could protect criminals getting caught.
Well, just my opinions... I believe he wouldn't stop by creating bitcoin.

Very lucky user, would love to see his bets which lead him to win. As it seems he wagered 3x amount of already wagered ethereum and a more bitcoins too but seems he disabled option to see profit in statistics. Is he user of this forum if anyone knows?

Bitsler is very loyal to it's customers, it's not a website which doesn't give a shit to it's players, no, everyone is appreciated.
3226  Economy / Economics / Re: What the true believers know but don't express well on: March 03, 2019, 05:18:42 PM
For the true believers, Bitcoin will always have value as long as it exists.

We will be happy to work or sell goods for 1 btc even if we know the price will move in the future.

The increase of true believers, of their revenue and of their networth drives the price up because as they get older, they get richer and as they get richer, they get more bitcoins. The process takes year and increases bitcoin's strengh and bottoms.

It's not a year or 2 bear market that will chase previous true believers and new true believers arrive in the community everyday and it's pushing the price higher.
It doesn't matter if you are true or "fake" believer, if bitcoin exists, this automatically means it has value or at least is traded on yobit haha. Also people are happy to buy/sell goods in exchange of bitcoin any time not because they are believers of bitcoin but because it's great payment method and this way you'll find more/additional users. Almost everyone cares on profit, without benefit no one wants your bitcoin, yeah it's benefit when price increases, when it offers anonimity, fast transaction and etc. No one believes in it blindly without benefits.
3227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to pay newbie with bitcoin? on: March 03, 2019, 02:13:29 PM
It depends on where do you live, some countries have local banks/exchanges which offer good services but without ID verification, I highly doubt you'll find any good one. As far as I know cex.io doesn't require verification and you can easily exchange crypto into fiat. Btw XAPO is great but it requires verification, their rates are pretty good and it will be easy for you.
You could also post in exchange section and ask if someone will send you fiat in exchange of bitcoin but I bet best offer for you will be cex.io
3228  Economy / Exchanges / Re: #DeleteCoinbase - what is going on with Coinbase? on: February 28, 2019, 11:45:47 PM
What do people expect from a company which offer centralized services such as wallet and exchange which is "against" cryptocurrency goal/point rather than offer decentralized wallet/exchange?

People should've done it years ago/limit using Coinbase only to buy/sell Bitcoin and start using real wallet and DEX.
The fools even accepted XRP LOL.
I can not remember when was the last time I used it. I think I will also need to close my account too if I manage to find my credentials. #CoinbaseByeBye 🙂

For buying new fresh coins: What is a better option than COINBASE?Huh  (with Fees and other things calculated in there)
Use peer to peer facilities. There are ATMs which I understand not many. There are some exchanges who allows you to buy bitcoin using the fiat. Binance added it recently.

ATMs can be found only in a few cities in the world  for now, so it's not an option for 99.9% of the people.

you are trying to tell this forum that the ATM's are super anonymous and Un Traceable??? YEAH. RIGHT. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Pamoldar
"Fools" accepted coin which is third on coinmarketcap and sometimes was keeping second position which means it was after bitcoin down to bitcoiin and over to ethereum, this means something. It's business and they want to attract more people, don't care about "support" of coins.

And now, guys who mentioned ATMs. At first I want to say it has nothing to do here and then, ATMs have so huge fees, it doesn't worth to use it, you can check fees yourself. On another hand yeah, it's pretty anonymous if you won't directly enter here with lights on your face and won't pay directly from your main wallet.
3229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble only with Bitcoin and do you have other favorite alt-coin? on: February 28, 2019, 11:10:09 PM
Hello,
Many sites are now starting to accept more and more different crypto currencies, for example Luckygames now accepts 101 coin and all of them seems to be active.
My favorite is still Bitcoin and Doge.
Whats your favorite coin that you use for online gambling and if it is not accepted would you convert it to Bitcon to try and play online gambling games?
There are a lot of reasons why online casinos are adding a lot of altcoins ans that's not only because doge or ltc or etc is some player's favourite coin.
For example Bitsler added Burstcoin because there was a huge demand from players, it's easy to mine with HDD and everyone could mine and play with it. Also there are a lot of people who minero with cpu and prefer to gamble with what they mine, some have GPUs and mine whatever coin they want. I just explained situation.
On another hand, my favourite is bitcoin, ether, litecoin.
3230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile or card ? on: February 28, 2019, 10:29:11 PM
And will people spend crypto or fiat?
I mean, is it a card like the ones already available where people convert from the app Bitcoin/crypto into fiat and the fiat will top up the actual pre-paid card?

I think that the NFC debit card will be more used, since not everybody have NFC at the phone, or prefer not to use phone's NFC.
But it also depends on the price of the actual plastic card ( + delivery ).

So for our mobile wallet and card it will automatically take the crypto and convert it to say USD, and there are a few routes that can be taken for this, the most reliable and cost effective way will win. Also its just an OTA update (PoS machine connected to network 24/7) ... same as a plugin/addon, no need of having to pitch individual merchants into "signing up" or creating a wallet for them, or needing them to purchase a proprietary additional PoS merchant system like some in development are doing.

In NFC debit card you mean cards with support contactless payments, yeah? Btw if card is already NFC, you can create special app and let customers to add this card in their phone and with phones which have support of NFC will br able to pay with it just like card through special app. Also not only smartphone but nowdays NFC payments by smartwatches like fitbit versa and etc are becoming popular. So in reality we don't have to make choice, you can give NFC debit card and open access to all other gates.
3231  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to buy a full-featured DICE gambling site on: February 28, 2019, 09:24:19 PM
OP I think rollin.io is best bet for you. Once this website was very famous but somehow they decided to move their attention on different projects and because of lack in time, sell this one. It is selling for years but if you wish to buy full-featured dice website, then time doesn't matter. You buy full-featured website + great domain which was famous and you have another chance to remind this name to people.
Here is thread and you can see contact information: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2115806
3232  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much Bitcoin to accumulate now to be financially set after the next boom? on: February 28, 2019, 08:53:19 PM
I try to accumulate as much as I can. I already lost a lot when didn't give a shit when others had hope of price rise. I thought it would be even unimaginable to reach 1K and after that bitcoin wouldn't develop. Now I changed my mind and believe it's gold rule: Bitcoin will reach and surpass it's all time high price. It even doesn't worth for my to sell now, I need at least 6K price but I'll wait 2 year and will sell my bitcoins after upcoming halving, before that I'll try to keep as much as possible.
3233  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitfinex Recovers Stolen BTC with US Government’s Help and Reimburses Clients on: February 28, 2019, 08:23:23 PM
which will be transferred in cash to accounts of 5,000 customers who were affected by that hacks.

So basically speaking 27.5 divide 5000 accounts it do have an average calculation of 0.000554 BTC on each user presumption. They do focused
in returning funds on small account traders but somehow they tried to compensate.Just still have some doubts if the amount they have recovered is truly just 20+ btc.
I think they'll determine ratio and someone who lost much will receiver higher amount compared to others. Btw there is one thing that sounds hilarious for me, if those persons were able to hack this exchanger which would require a lot of programming knowledge and skills, was it so hard for them to cut every traces aftet all? Can't wait to see next news, how much will they return this time?
3234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: #DeleteCoinbase - what is going on with Coinbase? on: February 28, 2019, 07:55:59 PM
I have a Coinbase account.  How can I protect myself?

All I used Coinbase for is buying coins and sending them out of there.
Do you have something to hide? If not and all of your actions are legal, then I wouldn't worry, there is nothing which will affect you and they won't leak/sell information about you.

BitMaxz
To be fair a lot of people don't care about private keys and etc, all they want is as easy place as internet/mobile banking is. That's why they have so much customers, on another hand you know people who take care of it use their own wallet and better exchange service.
3235  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019 on: February 27, 2019, 11:38:25 PM
This is a very wrong question because as you see everytime bitcoin is getting popular so what can you expect from 2019 regarding to bitcoin payments? Of course grow, there is no way you'll see decrease in it. There are a lot of users who prefer to pay with bitcoin and you'll find them in every category. So for most businesses, every customer is worthy, why to lose them especially when we can only profit and integrating bitcoin payment has zero "side effect"?
3236  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Gambling Sites - BTC] - Poker against real players on: February 27, 2019, 11:15:40 PM
I am like you OP, looking for a good bitcoin casino to play poker. At first I was looking for good bitcoin sportsbet but thanksfully some of trusted casinos already have it (but now I don't make bets lol). Once FJ had poker on their website, I have only seen UI of game and it was nice and attractive, maybe they had lack of poker players so removed it from their casino.
I'll watch this thread...
3237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think a lot of people just missed their chance on: February 27, 2019, 10:37:18 PM
Guys better to think from current situation. Look past 3 months, bitcoin felt to 3000-3500 but had some push to rise, small but nice push, a lot of times but it still felt and felt. Seems this community shows different picture from actual situation, a lot of people are very pesimistic. Now bitcoin needs big pushes for 2-3 days or at least noticable rise nonstop for 2-3 days, I think only this can fix current situation.
3238  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Reliability of Bitcoin mixing sites on: February 27, 2019, 10:01:46 PM
If you want that 100% anonimity, then pray to find normal smartphone somehow left in street/square (great if included sim card or buy somewhere without id and etc). Then load money on your number and buy internet, find a place where there are no cameras and you rarely visit, turn on internet (mobile data) and do what you want. Then throw away that smartphone. I bet no one will catch you.
But there is simple methods too, better to search sometimes. Get tails in your usb and load OS on computer, buy VPN from most trustworthy provider, use tor and do what you want.
P.S You have to trust some services in what they claim. For example Bitmixer, they claimed that not keep logs, followed their words fully. It's sad but now they are gone.
3239  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for new partner on my crypto-site on: February 27, 2019, 09:04:40 PM
Can u PM me?

why would you want to chat with someone who can't understand basic instructions?

your website will fail if you do stuff like this....

Btw personally I can't see any future for this project because: 1. Domain isn't good 2. Design is bad 3. No one (normal writer) will agree to publish news on newly created website without fixed income + website has zero revenue now so no profit for some months + he has to take care of internet marketing. Why to write articles here when you can write them on cointelegraph and get normal revenue. Sorry OP but it will be very hard for your website to develop.
cryptos-world22
He means that you have already stated how to contact you if interested and letitbit asks you things here instead of PM or telegram. From now on I think you'll understand what he means.
3240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everything we must know about ODDs in sports betting :) on: February 25, 2019, 11:45:38 PM
High/small adds have link between team's win/loss possibility when top team plays against weak opponent. But at the same time odds are very misleading when there is math between top teams.
On another hand casinos lie on odds of teams/matches which 99% of people don't know and haven't heared. Once I caught three 10x odd in one ticket, yeah it's 1000x and had 1$ bet. I had no idea on that teams and only was looking for some teams that had 10x odd.
