3221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 19, 2022, 07:49:16 AM
Bitcoin has been a big help to me to finish my studies in college by participating bounty campaigns on this forum. I was able to pay some of my tuition fees during those times where we are struggling financially. It thought me at an early age that it is really not easy to earn money. I was able to met a lot of people online who share opportunities to earn even if it's not related to crypto. Bitcoin is also the one that thought me what assets can be a good investment aside from crypto.
3222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be a hero? (maybe not) on: August 19, 2022, 06:42:33 AM
But one thing is for sure, if people could just learn how to put their money on bitcoin or crypto, in which they have total control, maybe in times of need, you can just transfer some and convert it to fiat anytime you want. You don't need to be a hero.

This is what I've been doing since stablecoin started to exist. I stopped putting all my money into banks and started to convert half of it into stablecoins or other crypto that is good for long term investment.

But for people who are not techy or born in a year where these types of technology doesn't exist yet, they would find it difficult to put their money in digital wallets to secure it themselves. They would still prefer the traditional way of storing money and it is through banks. Their mindset is completely opposite from people like me where they think crypto or digital currencies are scam.
3223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting facts about Bitcoin on: August 19, 2022, 05:38:33 AM
15. Keep your bitcoins in wallets or exchanges

I think this should be rephrased as "You can store your bitcoins in wallets or exchanges"

I checked the link on OP and found this statement here.

I don't see anything wrong with the statement because it explained how DEXs' basically work. But the title somehow can misinform people that it is safe to keep bitcoin on exchanges which is very dangerous to do. Similar to a bank, if an exchange goes bankrupt or suddenly shutdown, it's users can't do anything to recover their assets stored there.
3224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: August 19, 2022, 01:55:01 AM
You would only get stressed when you do lose your money but its normal rather than on having from both stress which is losing your money and you would need to pay up some loan with those losses which is totally
a disaster if you do have this kind of consideration on handling up things because its never been ideal on taking up some loan just for gambling purposes and it would be more worth if you do make
some considerations like these but if it would be solely be spend for gambling then you are just creating some real big problems ahead on the time  that you would need to repay those amounts.
Dont take loan for gambling purposes.Period.

A person doing this can be addicted into gambling that he didn't thought of the risks if he losses the money he will borrow. Getting a loan just to gamble puts your life at risk not just physically but also mentally because you will definitely experience depression if you lose those money. Recovering from those situation could really be difficult if no one would be willing to help you especially your family to overcome those struggle.
3225  Economy / Gambling / Re: DUELBITS ASK FOR KYC WHEN YOU WANT TO WITHDRAW YOUR EARNED PROFITS on: August 18, 2022, 05:06:47 AM
I showed the proof that i just did 2 deposits and couple of bets before want to withdraw and still people accusing of trying to scam or something like if i dont have a better thing to do😂I could understand this pirates wants to kyc me if i withdraw 10k lol but as you can see i only did 2 deposits and few bets lmao. Surely if i lost all balance i wouldnt recieve an email asking me for kyc before making another deposit , but obviuslt as i won they dont want to pay fkn pirates😂😂😂

You definitely don't read the ToS of any online casino you are playing. It's not duelbits' fault why you can't withdraw your money there. It doesn't matter how much you deposited or how many times you played, it is clearly stated below on the image that you need to complete first their KYC verification before doing any withdrawal.

If you are against of those rules, why do you keep gambling on many online casinos even if there is a high chance they could ask for your information.

3226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of most prominent altcoins of the moment on: August 15, 2022, 08:16:04 PM
Ethereum is the best choice for me now. It has a large communithy because many cryptos are utilizing its network. And with the upcoming merge that it becomes a POS type of cryptocurrency, I believe that its price will increase after the event. More people will invest to ETH because it won't require anymore some mining rigs to contribute to the blockchain. There is even a speculation that it will surpass bitcoin in terms of marketcap in the near future.
3227  Economy / Speculation / Re: do u think the BTC bottom is in...? on: August 15, 2022, 04:23:29 PM
I still think bitcoin's price haven't reach the bottom yet on this market cycle. We all know that many countries are facing an economic crisis right now so the possibilities of a dump this time is higher than just a normal bear season. It's too early to tell that a bull run will begin again soon with these worsening issues. Though the current price of bitcoin is a good buy to me now but will not suggest going all-in due to market uncertainties.
3228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be open to any possibility on: August 15, 2022, 03:13:43 PM
-snip

This depends if that coin will still exist after many years. There is no reason to keep some of it if the developers abandoned that particular crypto. The huge increase of doge last year was only because of Elon Musk's hyping it. It's still useless up to this day and no serious development or utilty was made. It's dangerous to rely on those kind of events when investing into crypto. I'd rather invest my money to those who have real usecases even if its possible return are not that big.
3229  Economy / Economics / Re: Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? on: August 15, 2022, 02:18:32 PM
Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? Without it, the adoption would never be able to realise its full potential.

There are many reasons why many people don't use crypto as paymemt method and the most common is its volatilty. Let's also add the stereotype of crypto being used by the criminals and the governement telling its people that it is not a safe form of asset or currency.

So, do you use cryptocurrency or crypto cards? What are your thoughts on it if you use it? If not, what's the deal?

I will only use it as payment in the form of stablecoins. Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin or ethereum is more of an investment for me. I've been earning crypto since 2016 and if I just didn't spend it due to unexpected circumstances then I think would've be rich now.
3230  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people more and more people depend from this on: August 15, 2022, 01:11:24 PM

Just buy bitcoin and hodl until the next market cycle so you don't stress yourself about it. If you don't know how to read charts and candlesticks, you don't have to worry where the market will go. We are in bear season now so this is a good time to accumulate bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Don't force yourself to earn from trading if you don't have proper knowledge about it or else you will just lose money.
3231  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 15, 2022, 12:18:23 PM
For me it's entrepreneurship for sure.with the current rates of inflation I think office jobs are not going to pay much in future. We need to sow are own wheat rather than working in someone else's field. With the kind of global dynamic environment for entrepreneurship now, I think there is nothing better than putting our ideas in action.. so for me yes it's entrepreneurship and Bitcoin of course...

It still depends on the salary of an individual and which field he is working. Some people are contented with their jobs because their field of work provides them a salary that is more than enough that they are able to make investments.

I do agree that entrepreneurship will give people more money especially if you are a minimum-wage earner but being a successful entrepreneur is not easy to achieve because we don't know if the product or business that we are going to establish will become popular and will last for many years.
3232  Economy / Economics / Re: Tips to save my finances, to grow personal economy on: August 15, 2022, 11:25:05 AM
4. Stay away from excessive lifestyle (excessive luxury) and try to live with a minimalist lifestyle.

The impact of social media is what makes this difficult. It's hard to resist the temptation when the people around you are living paycheck to paycheck. They just justify that they deserved it even if they do it multiple times that they don't save anything from their salaries.

For me, choosing your circle of friends can help a lot to save and have an investment for the future. If your friends have long term goal about their current finances then you will likely become successful in the future.
3233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: August 15, 2022, 10:24:53 AM

Here in our country, many people still blames the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and the pandemic as well. They still can't admit that they elected a corrupted official that has no concrete plans with these economic issues. Some even blame the poor when they are protesting about the rapid increase of commodities. I'm just hoping for country to not go that far like what is happening on those places because my family can't afford to migrate to other countries.
3234  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Have a Question ~ Are 1xbit Campaigners Playing on 1xbit? on: August 15, 2022, 08:38:41 AM
The only question is why they are ready to destroy their reputation for enough small(as for me) reward.

For someone even such sums costs more than reputation.

There are some people that are willing to compromise their reputation when they are really desperate for money. It's such a waste seeing those accounts being red-tagged because of supporting a scam when their accounts are already high ranked which is not easy to achieve. Those accounts could already be sold because if it's still handled by the real owner then he would know himself that it's not worth it to grab the offer of 1xbit.
3235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started business many days ago. Now it's time to accept Crypto as a payment. on: August 15, 2022, 06:39:42 AM
Many people have done this systematic of using cryptocurrency as a means of payment and some months ago someone testify using it to it business so I believe that an incoming that cryptocurrency will be use generally for the purpose of building of business transaction across many countries. Because right now cryptocurrency have not been use in a such way.
It still depend on the adoption of where we lived in, I also have online business and posted ways to pay like thru bank and option of BTC payment since there are applicable apps in my country that have mobile app for crypto and btc, but still many choose mobile banking. I still include it in my list of ways to pay even if there are no customers again who uses it for a long time. Soon maybe once there are known establishments like a mall that accepts bitcoin in my area that probably the time many will think of it as a payment medium. For now it's more of a investment or for trading currencies here in my country.

Many countries are still skeptic about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies so citizens there are still afraid to use and learn about it. Add to that is the stereotype of bitcoin being used by criminals to their bad intention making the majority of people not use it.

Even if many countries don't acknowledge yet the use of crypto, the good thing for me about it is business adapted to digital form of payments unlike back in the days where you really need to pay directly on their establishment using fiat.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many anonymous whales are there? on: August 15, 2022, 05:48:03 AM
Like people who own tons of Bitcoin or crypto but bought them without KYC? Either before KYC was a thing, or bought them through methods that did not involve KYC?

Usually whales are in a form of institution but if it's a single person, I think they buy bitcoin via OTC or over-the-counter. They find someone who sells bitcoin in their area then meet each other to do the trade. They don't go through to decentralized exchanges to buy because these DEXs' will definitely ask for some documents to withdraw that huge amount. It will also create a sudden pump on lower timeframes if they buy directly on those exchanges.

Isnt this too much😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Already send this people selfie...dni...bill... are they fucking serious i have to buy a newspaper😂😂😂

This is the first time I heard of a selfie with an ID and a newspaper outside the house premise.  Is the staff toying with you?  That actually isn't funny, taking selfies on the street might result in a possible accident.  I find it insulting to think that the staff is trying to make fun of the player.  I would understand the newspaper, ID, and Pen to mark the newspaper with Cloudbet but on the street?...  I think the requirement has gone too far.

Yeah, this seems to be a very strange request. It seems odd that a casino would ask for such a ridiculous and unreasonable thing from a player.
Unfortunately, there isn't an active Cloudbet representative here anymore, and I would really like to see their reasoning as well.

I got curious too why they asked for that so I search through their website. According to their Terms of Service, they could ask a user some identification material which I think the requirement of "outside the house" still pass that criteria.

User brandonlang also has negative trust tag from yahoo62278 which is somehow related to how he acts.

3238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Earn up to 50% rakeback | VIP | on: August 14, 2022, 02:58:19 AM
<snip>

This huge amount is prone to suspicion especially when it is your first-time depositing in the Casino. I think it is flagged not because of being a big number player but because the casino is suspicious of possible money laundering and the player is trying to clean its history through the Casino platform.  Whether they like it or not once the Casino is suspicious of the account the casino must do the SOP.
That could be one reason. But with that amount of withdrawal (in your example, $500) the casino could just disregard asking you to process a KYC to them. It really depends on their management. I believe there are reputable casinos that rarely or maybe even are not asking for KYC regardless of how much money you are having on your balance. I may be wrong, so please correct me if I am wrong with this statement.
Big amount can only be questionable if you are just new on that site and have that big money already, but if you do gamble with the site since then, maybe you are safe for KYC but of course it can still be change especially if the site is regulation by the anti money laundering agency. KYC can be asked for bigger account, and if you have nothing to hide then you can still be good.

There is no minimum amount on a casino when they ask for a KYC. If they implemented it, everyone is needed to comply with that regulation. It is suspicious if they ask immediately upon creating an account on their website. If you came across a website like that, it's better to read some of its reviews first before playing on their platform. Reputable casinos we have now only require KYC when withdrawing.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Upcoming release of funds to its creditors vs Btc Price on: August 13, 2022, 11:02:29 AM
If they will release it in one go then what's the reason bitcoin has been pumping these past few days if many are aware of this event. If its signalling a new market bottom for this bear season then Investors could have just wait for that to happen before buying.

My theory is they will release it by batch starting next month so it wouldn't make a huge impact if creditors sell those btc.
3240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Finally Helped My Friend Invest $50000 Into BITCOIN for Retirement. on: August 13, 2022, 10:08:34 AM
3• So lastly the one that spark his interest up was that recently I started by giving him list of billionaires who has invested in Bitcoin like Michael Saylor, Elon musk and other institutional investors like the world largest hedge fund manager Blackrock coming into the space.

I hope this is not the only reason why your friend invested into bitcoin that he is aware of its volatility. Those popular personalities and institution have huge amount of money and it woudn't be a big deal for them if they lose money from their bitcoin investment. If I remember correctly, Elon's company Tesla sold their bitcoin at a loss or maybe at breakeven price because bear market happened.
