3221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GodRays - A new way to analyze crypto-markets on: April 29, 2022, 07:16:54 AM
I do agree, markets are more organized than most people suspect. BUT I also believe that markets are also more prone to shocks and unexpected events than people realize. Also, people move markets a lot more than people suspect (they always believe markets move people).

I think the reason why computers and companies always fail to predict big market crashes even though they happen about every 10 years is because of these failure to realize Smiley If you can make your script more self aware of this who knows. Good luck Smiley

That's a really interesting point here ! The kind we can talk days about and trust me, I love that Smiley

If I had to articulate an answer, I would start by telling you that for an alternative truth to be accepted, the majority must always start by rejecting it. This is the most basic cycle there is ! You'll hear me talk about cycles a lot. Why ? Because this is the way energy moves in the universe. It's everywhere : from day/light to left/right political structure, from the tides to human emotions... Everywhere !

Why models, and particularly from genius people, trying to mimic the financial markets all failed (remember Long-Term Capital Management) ? Because they were trying to treat events linearly and not dynamically. Everything is caused by multiple influences so why keeping on using a +b = c from Aristotle to forecast complex things ? What we found is that there are cycles to the strength of an influence, the efficiency of an agent in others words. Imagine a giant dish of spaghetti where each spaghetto is a cycle treating one matter. Look how the whole thing is a product of infinite external incluences... Yet there is an order : the grouping (aggregate), or not, specify the end result.

Now take financial markets. What if I tell you we can forecast wars ? You would think and tell that we are crazy stupid. But picture this : a general knows a war is coming because he received top secret orders. He wants to benefit from this info. He starts speaking about it to his personal financial advisor. And voilà : the info is out and impacting gold market for example. Our dynamic modeling can pick up the shift in gold and correlate with others sectors and historical data and then... comes the war forecast !

All influences can be analyzed, sorted and classified but that takes a computer to do so Cheesy

I completely agree in cycles. Something that even the oldest religions have a tenet of and don't get me wrong I don't want to get religious here but examine Hinduism and Buddhism for example, which are thousands of years old and practiced by billions as in actually practiced (I'm not Hindu or Buddhist so anyway). Everything is a cycle for them too, for the Hindus even in precise dates (we are currently not even a tiny fraction of the universe cycle, which has a known end), and comes the phrase also "all of this has happened before".

Sounds familiar in markets and even in Bitcoin right? Smiley

So as I was mentioning, huge crashes seem to happen regularly for over 100 years, almost every decade, and yet and yet supercomputers never predict it but as you say when majority rejects it, it happens. So couldn't a model predict precisely this trigger like "ookay way to many people think BTC will hit $100k so the crash is in 5 weeks".

Interesting and of course I wish I could see something like this model publicly Smiley

I'm just reading about buway and LTU not getting good service for UCL, I'm shocked this is happening. Are you guys in Europe? I always assumed so since you seem to be able to watch games.

In Asia there are a lot of providers but mainly the countries around here use Astro (it's Malaysian but you can easily get it everywhere), sometimes if you have a "rich" friend Bein. Full English commentary, all of the games, it's satelite but you can also watch on mobile (if you have data which I don't lol).

It's only Conference League that you can't find all games I think they're working on it but you can also subscribe additional packages from ESPN or Fox even for FA cup, la liga, serie a, everything. Pay more get more.

I always thought it was way more better in Europe, huh!

Congrats to Karl and the entire Bitcasino.io Team on the Twitter Verification  Cool

Bitcasino Karl and guys, this is a feat that people really underestimate. Many years ago I tried to get verified status for someone (a sort of important figure) and many years later it is still not. You guys rock.

Also, is it a weird coincidence or what? After you guys got the tick Elon bought Twitter lol
3224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Installed in Mexican Senate Building !!! on: April 28, 2022, 07:26:15 AM
What do I think about this news? After being tricked by the announcement of Do Kwon which might only be hype and the news about the Central African Republic's acceptance of bitcoin which might come only from sauces, I am beginning to notice something. There might be some whales out there who want to hype bitcoin out of desperation. This is what I think about this news. I am back to being the skeptical me. Call me the antagonizer again.

100% right. At least you learned your lesson about getting tricked by hype etc.

Remember that even El Salvador was kind of a move by big bitcoin whales in the Miami conference. I don't think personally the president ever thought about it himself, the idea was just planted and they did everything, all he did was sign the presidential decree (obviously it had to be since the people never heard about it much to say even voted).

We all need to be smarter than taking sauce Smiley
3225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: April 28, 2022, 06:50:11 AM
Yeah, comparing yesterday's game with this pne - it looked like Europa league game. Though, probably it was worthto expect something similar.
For Villarreal it was difficult to achieve positive result with parked bus. After all, they're not Atletico to defend that well. Even against Bayern they weren't so defensive. Things isn't over yet, but Liverpool is one feet in the final now.

This is the problem when you get such a treat of 7 goals, that even if this game was 5-0, you would never feel it was half as exciting as the first.

But we all knew Villareal were not going to light up the festival of UCL, what I didn't expect was they would not be able to find a single shot on goal. Stats say just 1 attempt that was off target. How is that even possible unless they really were just going for a draw? but 2 goals down and not to try, seems like a losing recipe.

Speaking of all the fun things with FUN, seems like I just reached the 180day locking period as my WoF spins just increased by 1 (hooray!).

That's good news for me on 2 levels. Obviously, getting an additional free spin for the next 180 days is awesome (and the cashback and the interest). Secondly, I'm halfway through a one year lock, and can look forward to 25% more FUN back in there. Good times.

3229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: April 27, 2022, 09:41:02 AM
After Elon Musk officially bought the Twitter, the market looks positive with the Bitcoin price pumping up immediately and making the prices of
other altcoins also go up. But it didn't last long, it looks like Bitcoin is now back down to $38k and the majority of altcoins are down too.
Very lucky for people who have taken profit when the market goes up, and now can go back to buy Bitcoin or altcoins that they think are good.
We really have to be careful with the decisions we make, especially when the market suddenly goes up, don't be FOMO. It turned out that the increase
did not last long, that's the importance of good knowledge and analytical skills, so that we don't make wrong decisions.

Markets BARELY looked positive to be fair. A small gain to make Bitcoin go a tiny bit above $40k (which didn't even last long anyway) and Ethereum just touching $3000? That was probably much more harmful to the market than if it just went lower or stabilized IMO, cause now the bulls and regs will be thinking that even when it was up it didn't last long, time to give up.

Elon buying Twitter if he was hoping this meant good things for crypto, he'll be disappointed badly.

3231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: April 27, 2022, 07:21:48 AM
Saw the highlights now and totally agree with 4th goal shouldn't happen I mean when you foul someone, or get fouled, stop waiting for referee to do something and keep playing. I think Courtois thought they conceded a freekick so when Silva just took the ball and shot, it was like a free shot. That's really unprofessional to switch off I hate seeing teams do this.

Well at least it's just 1 goal difference. Real only need to win to at least take game to overtime. Should be amazing to watch, I might try see if I can stay up for that.

Hate Real of course but I hate City more Tongue

Does craps work for anyone? https://blackjack.fun/game/nucleus:Craps1

I can only see a blank screen, but the other dice games like SicBo and RocketDice work without any issues.

Plus would Blackjack.Fun maybe want to add Binary Options in their list of games of chance? Guessing that price of Bitcoin is this forum's "favorite sport". Everyone can't stop checking the price every 15 minutes, and also can't stop talking about it. Cool

Bookmark this spreadsheet for Admin, and just enter all details of your issues here so admin can send to devs all in one easy place to reference Smiley

Guessing price may be favorite sport but until it is also favorite betting, no point putting it Wink I think 90% of forum people talk about price and gambling but place little or no bets at all.

In my own opinion this is a verg good topic, it will enlighten most people who are lazy to make their own research rather prefer to follow someone else.

Just like the lazy guys who go to get old posts and respond to them?  Grin

Thank goodness for the daily betting bonus and somehow winning biggest wins on the hourlies. I told myself not to bet anymore this week and just wait for new opportunity to deposit next month but somehow instead ended up almost busting again lol. But thanks to daily contests and weekly contest with me ending up on 10th spot, I'm back to not so badly off Smiley

Man I love this site!

at the moment i still have the yellow cap on in this round.
if that should always remain so after today's game, what do i get out of it - have i won something or is that just a fun fact in these rounds? Grin

You get about $50 in freebets, so I hope you have your Sportsbet username handy Wink It's definitely fun fact, but comes with a very sweet prize that kinda makes up for your pool fee. Great idea to keep everyone fighting every week in this pool no matter what. I for one am really glad I never gave up as I never imagined I could be this high this late!
3236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: April 26, 2022, 10:05:47 AM
The only NFTs that can be considered longterm are the original ones like CryptoPunks. And actually if you check out their rivals then other than Kitties they're all dead.

The hype from 2020/21 is even worse, 90% of projects and I'm being optimistic are dead/scammed. Those left are only 1/2 years old, it's going to be 3 more years minimum to even start seeing longterm results.
3237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 26, 2022, 08:13:01 AM
I agree with you, Real Madrid are the champion of la Liga because their performance was an excellent in this tournament which will enable them to finish well to achieve the victory at the end of this tournament. Despite, the match they have with Manchester city tomorrow, I don't think it will be possible for them to win Manchester city because Manchester city are very good in this season.

They're not yet the champions, they're not even the defending one. I do agree it's only a bygone conclusion with a when and not if, but they've not actually been excellent, Benzema and Modric and Vinicius have. If you've watched their games even recently you'll notice until the late goals they play really badly, not excellent.

City game is also not tomorrow, it's today, less than half a day away.

3239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2022, 06:28:52 AM
Wow, I might actually have been less surprised if Spurs lost, but what do you think guys, when a game ends zero-nil it always makes me feel like neither sides tried hard enough, so couldn't score, and also didn't take enough risks that allowed their opponent in.

I didn't watch the game but sometimes 0-0 scorelines can be deceptive so look at the other stats. Could have been lots of chances and woodwork hit etc but none of them just go in. I had 1-1 on that match. I've got 0-0 for tonight's game as well. Leeds really need at least a point from this. If they don't get something I think they could be in real trouble as they've got some very tough fixtures coming up. Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea all in a row. I doubt they're getting any points from those three so could come down to their last two games against Brighton and Brentford depending on the results of the other relegation battlers.

Fair enough, I know I've watched one or two 0-0 games which were exciting except for a lack of goals, I also seen 0-0 games with plenty of cards so that's a different kind of exciting but still, in English football especially you feel like if there is no goal, there is nothing to light up the game. Goals always change a game I think Smiley

Anyway spot on on another 0-0 game, I would never have thought to put that even if going for a draw!
