3221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: February 12, 2019, 10:13:56 PM
I will never believe that this coin can be fraudulent. I think that Ether is one of the most reliable and promising coins. Some people consider ether a strong competitor to Bitcoin.

Are there individuals still thinking that ethereum is a scam project? They have proven them wrong. One of the legit ones so far.
3222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: February 12, 2019, 10:07:21 PM
Honestly I don't think this is actually going to happen because of all the applications being built for Ethereum. There are also a ton of incredible projects that will be built on top of Ethereum this year.

They can't compete with eth up until now. Do you see cardano if you open coindesk? Nope... So I don't think Cardano can destroy Eth. Maybe, the other way around.

3223  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2019 BITCOIN Price? on: February 12, 2019, 09:24:48 PM
I hope your predictions do not hurt you, but I would think the price of bitcoin at the end of 2019 would at least touch above the price of $ 6000 to $ 8000, at least that already shows a good price to see it return high in 2020

Maybe he's dreaming of that price but we need a reality check here. If we dreamed too much, we might fall in a bad way. So just chill!  Wink Be ready for whatever the future is bringing to us.
3224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pension funds bringing money to Bitcoin. on: February 12, 2019, 09:21:23 PM
It is really interesting that at last some pension funds have wet their feet in cryptocurrency investing. Someone is going to be very happy or very pissed off in the future. What do you think of this? It is really a breakthrough for crypto as an investment?
Source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-02-12/first-u-s-pension-funds-take-the-plunge-on-crypto-investing

A lot of blockchain related start ups are going to be happy because a major percentage of these funds are going to be invested in those companies. Only a minor percentage will be invested in liquid cryptos. That makes complete sense because pension fund is a serious money and a lot of people are dependent on it. So investing completely in liquid crypto assets will be very risky. Rather it is somewhat safer to invest in the equities of blockchain companies.

Hope this investment effort will be an eye opener for a lot of market regulators who are still skeptical about cryptos.

I agree with that. It believe it is not yet the right time to invest all your pension funds to liquid crypto assets. A very risky and very volatile investments. People are depending on it. So handling this kind of money is no joke at all. But, setting a small percentage might do the trick.
3225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: February 12, 2019, 05:39:50 AM
People know it's not worth it but it's hard for them to stop because it's too addictive.

In my point of view, there is really no valid reason to continue in this gambling world. But it is up to you how it helps you in surviving this life. Withdrawal from this vice is just like any type of withdrawal from addiction of like drugs, smoking and many others. Really hard to leave if you are already in the addiction mode.
3226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Cryptonight-pico Turtlev2] BitcoinMono - Copypasta cryptocurrency on: February 12, 2019, 03:49:39 AM

This is a hilarous ANN.  It's a 0% premine that's announcing miners are "not welcome" and neither are other pools "because pools are competition."

So why even announce this project?  Looks like a private learning project and you don't even want people around.  Saying that in a BTC Ann is the equivalent of setting up a public lemonade stand, sitting at the stand with a sign saying "LEMONADE NOT FOR SALE THIS IS JUST A TEST, DON'T COME BY WE DON'T CARE."

Good luck with this project.

In 3 months, he can edit the post and take that crap out.  Then say it was a fair launch.

Should have posted this ANN when he's ready to launch this project. It just shows that this is not a very strong project and this one might not last long. Just my 2 cents.
3227  Economy / Gambling / Re: AllBitcoinGambling.com on: February 12, 2019, 01:51:45 AM
Just wondering. Is there a certain fee to get a good review on your site? Most listing sites charge for a fee though.
3228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple vs Bitcoin on: February 11, 2019, 11:36:34 PM
The coin is definitely promising, it will continue to build up strength and fight for second place with Ethereum, but it is impossible to defeat the king, so there is even nothing to argue about

Agree. Bitcoin will always be on top no matter what. Popularity, usage and many others. Though there are disadvantages like transaction fees but still it doesn't make it less popular to use.

3230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ ✅ [ANN][MN/PoS] BeHeroCoin - the coin of the heroes ✅ ✅ on: February 11, 2019, 11:24:44 PM
Is the development even alive here? Another hero wannabe in crypto. The OP was last active last Oct 20 2018. So I think being a hero also stopped at that time.  Tongue But, they are still selling their masternodes according to their site???
3231  Economy / Gambling / Re: safedice.com scam and why you should avoid SAFEDICE.COM if you are a high roller on: February 11, 2019, 11:08:11 PM
From the looks of it they are not really "scam" like the ones we know. I mean normally what we call scam is when someone steals your money and run away with it, since they pay you they are not really a "scam" but in reality they are keeping your money at their account longer than they are allowed and not pay you on time which is as bad as scam and I know in personal experience because I had the same issue before and because we are in bitcoin world its sometimes very scary and you think you get scammed and you will not see your money again.

If their owner is in jail or they have any problem that prohibits them from paying quickly than they should close their shop right away, there is no point on keeping a dice website open if they are failing to pay people their money back.

Better them to close and not give people what they expect for upon using their platform. For the users, they should check first the background of that site if it is reliable or not, before plunging in. The feeling of not getting your money is really bad. And yeah, it feels that someone is scamming you.
3232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling! Yes or No? on: February 11, 2019, 11:04:28 PM
Panic selling is one of the worst things that we can do. But on the other hand, it is okay to sell a coin if you truly believe that its price will be going down. Observe the market, make your research. There is nothing wrong to make some smart moves to avoid losing money.

That's right. If your instincts is saying that this coin will gonna go down in crypto history very soon, then sell it while it has value in it. Most altcoins or tokens lost its value very fast. Only strong ones prevail.
3233  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Wildest Cryptocurrency Online Casino on: February 11, 2019, 10:37:04 PM
this FRAUD casino SCAMMER. iam new register and want claim deposit bonus but support say i have duplicate account. i just want to know from where and why their say i have duplicate account and not give me deposit bonus. and can not get back my deposit. this casino just want profit. maybe all new player will their say have duplicate account. SCAM only. clearly reason  if you say new player make duplicate account, dont just say but not real!!!! dont ever guess without clarity. think again to register here, they will say you have duplicate account after you do deposit.

High chance that the one published on their website regarding huge winning of BTC is fake and just for promotional purposes only. The dev can clarify this issue though.
3234  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Games & Services with Bitcoin using Lightning on: February 11, 2019, 10:34:16 PM
It would be a lot better If you let people to deposit their satoshis first and play with smaller amounts later. That's how most casinos operate nowadays. Asking for satoshis straight away to play the game is not a good idea.

Right on point. Asking even a small amount from potential players is not really a good idea to start with. A lot of starting casinos either have free plays or faucets to try their services.
3235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an Escrow be a guarantee? on: February 11, 2019, 09:44:54 AM
You will never know, that escrow might be one from the team. The reason why they are anonymous and just use one of their accounts here. Unless, the escrow is a known reputable member in this forum.
3236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: February 11, 2019, 09:42:16 AM
If you will not take risks in your life, how can you call it life? That is part of our daily living. Not only in terms of crypto investments but all other aspects of our lives.
3237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MAINNET] [POW] [POS] KETOsis Coin- THE KETO CRYPTO! MAIN NET LIVE! 🆕 on: February 10, 2019, 11:52:51 PM
Their website is not yet up and running until now.

And why would my keto diet need a blockchain? How are you making it useful since i can't figure out any reason for it.

Its another way for blockchain to achieve mass adoption. Most that live the ketogenic lifestyle log their macros via cell phone. With the release of our mobile app it will allow you to track your macros, earn KETO coins for hitting your macros goals, qr code for KETO friendly vendor payments, along with normal crypto mobile wallet functions. Outside of the tech we want to bring more people into the blockchain world and show them all the benefits it has to offer. The main goal for KETOsis Coin is to encourage a lifestyle of health and wealth.

That mobile app doesn't need a blockchain. It doesn't gain anything from it. I think this is just an example of pushing your app to people with a blockchain as a buzzword.

Seems you are still missing the point.... Its not about the mobile app having a blockchain. Its about the project and actually having a crypto with a real world use and benefit. But I understand your opinions as we will always have someone that plays devils advocate.

I like the objectives of this project because everyone really needs to take care of their health. But with this kind of platform, you need to entice a lot of users to make your ketosis coin valuable. Have you initiated your communication for possible keto vendor partners?
3238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 10, 2019, 11:27:00 PM
the launching of ATM is another way to foster the massive adoption of the bitcoin in various part of the world. that people walk into ATM gallery and make good withdrawal via the ATM machine is a step ahead of other methods of propagating massive adoption of the blockchain technology.

Considering that Philippines is a third world country, it means that bitcoin adoption has really gone a long way already. Though, usage of cryptocurrencies has been there for quite a while already, I did not expect that they will set-up their own bitcoin atm soon. Anyway, South East Asian nations has growing number of crypto enthusiasts, so there's no doubt they will come up to this.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Progressing adoption on: February 10, 2019, 11:21:36 PM
My take on this is that bitcoin adoption is not in a standstill situation as what the OP is feeling about. I believe that there is a growing number of people who are getting acquainted with the usage of bitcoin as a form of payment method and some are for their remittances in their respective countries.
3240  Economy / Speculation / Re: I expect the market to be in green throughout this month. on: February 10, 2019, 06:28:16 PM
i don't really think investors are waiting for ETF and SEC anymore. we have had the same story a lot of times, more than enough for us to give up on waiting on them before investing.
in fact i think the reason why we had the recent rise had nothing to do with this ETF news but it was about how the US states passed a bill to recognize bitcoin as a currency and if i am not mistaken they also removed taxes on it.

and don't forget that bitcoin has never stayed low this long, this is a record in both length and size of the drop.

I like this news, if this is true. If US will recognize bitcoin as one of the currencies to deal with and no taxes on top of that, that would really be great for crypto lovers. There would be more demand as people will find out the benefits of using crypto. Other countries might follow through in this development.
