3221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 04, 2022, 07:54:10 AM
Here are some videos of Manny doing some training for this fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcxvQmBLxdQ

Dude has still the speed and footwork and obviously those punches have power behind it. I still think that Manny can still pull the trigger and can win 90% against the current 147 lbs boxers that we have right now.

And there are Koreans in the background also filming this fight to show to DK Yoo, hehehehe.
Doesnt matter if that training or sparring session would leak out and be shown to DK yoo. This isnt an official match which means that everything could be exposed
and there's no difference into that. When it comes to speed and power then we could actually say that he had still the shot on fighting in todays fighters but well
he had made out the decision and now focuses on having these exhibition fights but well its still appreciable considering that earnings would really
go into those charities or something connected on it.

I guess you didn't get the sarcasm here, obviously this is  for fun and pure entertainment, even you can see how to toy and play with his best friend on his sparring.

Thanks!

It's a great coincidence that I've seen some of Manny's video in the Running Man episodes and he seems really enjoying on that show. I now understand why he's there.

It's a lot of commitment that he flew there to South Korea. From those TV guestings, to training and with the upcoming fight against DK Yoo since the venue is there in SK.

Right, he has to promote it the usual, and it seems that the South Korean audience really loves Manny already.

And for sure this will be a very successful start for Pacquiao in the world of exhibition matches and he made the right decision to start it with DK Yoo.
3222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 04, 2022, 03:24:38 AM
Ok guys here is what Crawford has to say about the failed negotiations, In summary:

1. Crawford starts talking to Al Haymon of PBC in May
2. Crawford got a contract along August, and according to him it's not even a regular contract
3. Haymon said that he is talking to someone from Team Crawford, but Crawford himself says that he didn't even know the person
4. Crawford tells Al that there are 2 companies are interested in the fight and willing to pay $25 m each guaranteed purse.
5.  ‘I’m not letting nobody touch this fight.’ Haymon said

You can read everything here: https://www.badlefthook.com/2022/11/2/23436522/terence-crawford-tells-all-on-failed-negotiations-with-errol-spence

And perhaps everyone can give  their opinion on who is to blame on this mess up. Or probably you can see how powerful Al Haymon is, or at least his tactics in negotiations. And maybe why it's hard to make fight between him and Top Rank.
3223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2022, 10:40:59 PM

Well, they seem got a hold of it because they manage to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans earlier today. It was a crazy game but it's undeniable that the Lakers is quite different now and Westbrook already got used to his role as he keeps on laying the table for his teammate to score. Pelicans was shocked as the gaps of their score becomes wider as the first half finished, they managed to chase the Lakers in the 2nd half but Lakers was so determined to put a win today.

While he is getting used to his new role, the Lakers are gaining momentum to make straight wins but the real test will be in their next game vs the Utah Jazz where undeniably one of the best in the west. But the Lakers will gonna do their best and will try everything they can to keep winning every single game from now on. So it's better to assume that they will gonna fight for it and let's just hope no injuries will haunt them sooner since they are now obviously making difference from their last games.

Yes, another acid test for them against the Jazz, when we thought that Utah will be tanking this season, it seems though that the remaining players like Clarkson wanted to show and proved that they can be a good team despite losing Mitchell and Gobert.

So another tough match for the Lakers and it will be interesting game to watch. We don't know how many games that they can pull something like what they did against New Orleans.

I guess it's time for the Warriors to get on a winning form tonight against a Orlando.
3224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 03, 2022, 10:25:08 PM
"Is the bear market over? Hard to say, but a lot of the bad news was priced in. With a maximum drawdown of -28%, SPX discounted 85% of a typical 33% market decline and 78% of a recession bear market. I still like the 1946 counterpart-"

 - I don't think the bear market is over yet dude because as far as I know the entry of the bull run is still in 2024, which means we have to go through the year 2023 before we get through it.

Yes, we are not out of the bear market, this is simply the market getting to the biggest support of $20k. And after that, the price could be on another sideways although majority might believed that at least in December we will see some jump. But for me, the max price that we can get is around $22k.

Although the period of the bear market is not an easy time for us to earn income, instead it requires sufficient skills and knowledge in performing trading tactics accurately, not even 100% but at least 75-80 At least % strategy to get profit here in crypto trading.

Or if you don't want to complicate things on your part, why not buy cheap altcoins in the top 10 and just HODL. Of course, if you are a trader, you can mix and match certain strategies that will fit your trading strategy. But for those who are not traders and wanted risk free environment, then simply buying and accumulating is the best thing to do in a market cycle like this.
3225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or bear November? on: November 03, 2022, 10:10:21 PM
After passing 10 months in 2022, I am sure that the remaining 2 months, namely November and December the price trend will be the same, if there is a bull run, the price may reach $ 28k and it is difficult to touch $ 30k, or if it happens it might be above $ 18k.
at the end of the year it will be the month of Bitcoin and altcoins I'm sure it's because currently the bullish indication for Bitcoin can reach $30k is very large,
because now there is a lot of good news that makes Bitcoin price strong, altcoins have also recovered and even increased altcoins much bigger than bitcoin,
so my advice in the bull market later you should really focus on altcoins.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree that we can reach $30k at the end of the month. We are very much in the bear market, and although we have a spike this week, the market is trying to get back to our psychological support line of $20k.

It did went as high as $21k, but look at how happen, it wasn't able to maintain that level, the prices goes down as obviously, there is this selling pressure for speculators to make some money real quick. And it might take some time for the price to go up, we might trade sideways for the rest of the year, in my opinion.

You mentioned altcoins, they are worst, -90% and higher decline.

It's understandable that he doesn't want to show his face in public. But totally hiding it to his wife? Not sure if that would be the right move here. And so I'm 50/50 for his reasons behind, maybe it was good, or something is not right that he doesn't want to share it with his family.

Although we don't want to be judgemental here, but the case involves a lot of money and who knows, human greed knows no boundaries. Again, I can't understand why he will do such an act to conceal and be secretive about it from his family.
3227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of the Roulette Game on: November 03, 2022, 09:35:02 PM
Yeah, in the beginning it was really crude but it has evolved so much that it include 0 and double 00.

I actually do play roulette, however I only bet on single 0 table, as it is more "advantageous" to play, 36:1. Just remember that there are no science or math that will sway the favor for the gambler here, this is pure luck base game. Only way to beat the house is that if you found a table that is biased. But if will take a lot of your time to identify it and casinos now have prevented it as they are also shuffling their roulette machine to counter it. You can watch it here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeXMTq0ieWE

50 page thread on a fight that might never be 😲.  I hope as much as ypu all this goes down but got to face the facts it just might never come to fruition.  Just might need to let this thread die a peaceful death Smiley.

Probably, but who knows, maybe next year there will be a fresh set of negotiations between the 2 camps and this fight comes to fruition when everyone thought that the fight is dead.

So yeah, might as well keep the thread open, and when there is an update, someone could pick it up and post it here. But for this year, the fight is officially not going to happen.

It's unfortunate because it's not just this thread but that's what all boxing fans want to see.  In reality there aren't many good fights ahead of us in the near term this would have been the fight that would have gotten everyone excited.  Oh well.

There could still be fight in the horizon though, but for us this is a super fight, and we all know that 147 lbs is like the premier weight in boxing and throughout it's history we have a lot of great champions, recently Manny Pacquiao or Floyd.

But the door is still open though, I still believed that this fight can be made next year after they got their cherry pick fight.
3230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would CZ go after banks? on: November 03, 2022, 08:33:53 PM
It's obvious, he will take all the banks around the world and kill FIAT, hehehe  Grin

Kidding aside, it will be a perfect opportunity to his another experiment in the horizon, a crypto based bank. For sure this is what he is thinking, that's why he will go after the banks now and see how it goes.

And for his own word, he wants to bridge traditional financial to crypto and this is his first step.

Yes, CZ is getting bigger by the day and his vision has no boundaries.
3231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 03, 2022, 08:19:54 PM
I don't think Thurman could be the best market out of the three named boxers because people wouldn't believe that Thurman can stand a chance against Spence. We already know the history, Ugas defeated Pacquiao and Spence defeated Ugas while Thurman here was defeated by Pacquiao. Can't imagine if Pacquiao-Spence fight wasn't cancelled. That is why it's much better for Spence to pick Ennis.

But still though, as far as resume is concern Thurman > Ennis or Ortiz Jr, both is still not a PPV stars, I know that they are still unbeaten, but I don't think boxing promoters will give them the chance as early at this time to have the chance to fight for the belt, and it's going to be risky for both Crawford and Spence to fight either one of them. Again, I'm not saying that they are avoiding this two, but the risk and reward ratio and the expected returns might not be good.

So in this case, Crawford goes on a easy route vs Avanesyan, and who knows, Spence will see Thurman as and easy fight as well and the reward will be high in the end. And I'm seeing that this fight will sell to the fans.

Well, glad you cleared that for me mate Grin Yes, I understand. It's all about money this time and it's already safe to say that they will save the best for last because the risk and reward is quite bigger. Although, from what I heard, the latest rumor about Spence is that he will fight Jermell Charlo, both PBC stars and that's actually possible, while Spence here will be just go back and forth whenever he needed to defend his title in welter.

Right mate, it's all business for this boxers now, Crawford wanted to keep his record for a while and so even if Avanesyan is a knockout artist, he is still relatively easy fight for him as compare if he faces Vergil Ortiz Jr or Ennis, risk and reward.

Yeah, Spence has been targeting Charlo at 154 lbs but Jermell will have a fight with Tim Tsyzu early next year. So that will make Spence wait a bit, or maybe just like Crawford, he will have a get busy fight next against a relatively unknown by rank fighter within the PBC stable.
3232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do think that POGO should be declared as legal or Illegal ? on: November 03, 2022, 07:50:39 PM
Philippine has made POGO legal, as they are licensed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

But the problem is, there are some POGO that runs illegally in the country, and most of them are run in secretly, but nevertheless, you will hear reports about the police raiding them and mostly they are illegal so what the authorities do is to send them back home to China.

I know that there is much that the government can do about those who are going to lose their jobs, but as some point they have to draw the line here. The economic benefits is outweight by what is going on behind the scene, killings and kidnappings and corruptions.

Even the Chinese government are totally against it, so why not the Philippine government do that as well?
True, many of them have been running illegally and they're just renting condominium units and that's why those rent prices near Pasay/MOA have increased a lot.
But since the government of us now trying to take down many of them, there's also a decrease in income for most of those establishments that are benefiting from it. It's better to be legal than to operate illegally because many of those workers are also Chinese folks that have tourist visas and are considered also illegal immigrant workers. News is all around about many of them being departed.

Yes, but as I have said, even if it raking billions to the Philippine government, still though I would say that the effect is very significant specially if people are dying because of it. They pay good rent because condos are expensive here but then again, it is still illegal by law.

And there is now a good that the Philippines is becoming one of Chinese provinces because of the proliferation of POGO and the number of Chinese that are now in the country. And for me this doesn't look good. So they should all be deported if found illegally working here.
3233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 03, 2022, 01:11:19 PM
^That's a win, thank Matt Ryan for that 1.3-second buzzer-beater shot to extend it to overtime.  Cheesy
A big mistake from the Pelicans team for not securing their win during the regulation. 2 shots were missed and no one even tried to get the rebound on the second shot. Just tapping the ball could've ended the game if only they put their big men and do a box out. That is given if ever a player missed his first free throw in a crucial moment.

Lost both my early bets. But got lucky again at live betting during halftime of both games below.

I am starting to think I am better off at live betting.  Grin

Yes, it was a very lucky shot by Ryan as it went it went in and then they took over in the OT, Lost my bet.

Yeah, sometimes its better off betting at live games, caught several games last season with a good win.

But hopefully though, my schedule will let me watch this games and then see how it goes. So congrats mate, another good win for you.

Not a Solana investor, but I understand your concern. However, if you see some issues, then better stop investing and wait till the project settles down.

Recently it was hack or involved in a huge amount of money being lost to this cyber actors. So that is a black eye already and it not just happen one time, twice to be exact and everything was drain. And so I heard this new issue on there side. Not a financial advise, but it's better to stir away from Solana for now.
3235  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC always Decouple on: November 03, 2022, 11:50:27 AM
New fed rates announced , Share market shaked very red colour. over 500Billion wiped. But when we come to BTC. BTC not react aggressively.  BTC on his own way.

Most people put short positions on exchanges but liquidated because BTC pumped at that moment. its a hunt.

my conclusion is BTC decouple most of the equity markets. BTC has own way. So lets trust the timeline

Well the crypto market reacted if I'm not mistaken, we went below the $1 trillion market cap.

And still very volatile up to this day, it went as low as $20,0xx-$20,3xx. And so we are not out of the woods yet. And I'm not surprised if the price goes below that $20k support again. And with that, I don't think that we completely decouple with the rest of the traditional market even in the bear market.
3236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2022, 10:06:21 AM
LA Lakers escaped from another loss, good thing they have Ryan who forced an OT and the Lakers then too over in the OT. 2 wins in a row, now bad, but hopefully they'll be more consistent and dominant so we will not feel nervous while watching the game.

Westbrook now is playing limited minutes but he had some good contribution, I think that's good for the team.

Lakers indeed escaped another L. I posted way too early a few hours ago after Walker missed the wide 3 pointer to tie the game with 1.3 secs left on the game clock. To my disappointment, I turned off the stream before the Pelicans took 2 missed free throws lol. Did not know Ryan saves the game for the Lakers.
However, I'm still not comfortable with how things work for the Lakers currently. Thought they've played good defense.
They still need to play strong in the 2nd half. I hope this could give them a good start.

Yeah, and the pass by Reeves as well to Ryan in the corner for a great 3 to tie the game. And as we have said, they need to have great shooters outside and in this game it proved that this shooters can save the game for them.

Of course this is a great escape for them, leaving by double digits and it seems that they are going to choke and they almost did if not for the Ryan shooting that 3 with confidence.
3237  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: November 03, 2022, 09:31:40 AM

3238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 02, 2022, 11:48:30 PM
Someone with a strict budget of gambling with $10, decides to start online gambling after been told by a friend, but on signing up discovers that the minimum deposit accepted is above the amount budgetted for gambling. Does high minimum deposit fees from online casino discourage gamblers who want to stick to a budget and influences them to gamble with bigger amounts? If yes, and that perhaps is a reason behind many other online casinos keeping their minimum deposits as low as $1, Could low minimum deposit be an encouragement for people to come gamble regardless of the money they have to gamble? Does minimum withdrawal encourage players to try again and keep gambling if they don't win up to the minimum withdrawal?

I guess that's the obvious strategy of most online gambling, there is a minimum deposit. And if I'm correct, before you can go on a casino way back, there is this so called show money that you have communicate before you can enter (at least this is what I heard from those OG gamblers).

And maybe this is similar to what this casino's are implementing, you need to have the money, at least bare minimum to play and uses this system. And besides, most casino's charges for withdrawal fee so that $10 will not be enough.
3239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 02, 2022, 11:31:09 PM
A lot of nationally televised games today to watch and get your bet on with. NBC has a doubleheader with the Wizards and 76ers up first at 3pm pst (76ers to win). Then they have the Hornets and Bulls game at 5:00 pst. While that is going on you also have the Celtics and Cavaliers at 4:30 pst on ESPN which should be a great game to watch. Finally, to close out the night on ESPN you have the Grizzlies and Trailblazers at 7:00.

Probably the best game of the night (that I won’t be able to watch) will be the Lakers and Pelicans. I wish ESPN or NBC would have picked up that game instead.

I'm picking up New Orleans against the Lakers, -2.5 @1.83. Although it will be on Crypto.com, I think the Pelicans even without Brandon Ingram can still win as compare to the Lakers as Davis is listed as questionable.

Wizards and Sixers game already on the way, so I'm going to skip this one.

Hopefully I can get back into the winning column, Warriors pretty much destroy my parlay, hehehe.
3240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 02, 2022, 11:13:13 PM
I know that most of the time a good roster with a bad result is usually the coaches fault. However, that wasn't the case this time around, they have a toxic locker room and it has been like that for a while. I do not think that they could ever do anything with this team.

Ben Simmons who doesn't even wanna play, Kyrie who is a big moron who has been saying stuff that should get him banned from NBA if you ask me, Durant who asked to be traded out, and Nash was supposed to win with this team? I do not think so. I believe that Nets are a horrible organization, they are getting Ime Uduka who has been banned from his own team for what he did just to increase the toxic level in the team. It’s a disgrace and I am happy for Nash that he is leaving this toxic place.

Hehehe, yeah, the toxic level within the organization is the highest in the NBA if I'm not mistaken. And the organization is making one bad decision to another, like getting Nash to resign and then hiring someone who has a bad rep already.

And just imagine if you are a female and that you will have to interact with Oduka? I mean what is the feeling as he had already a precedent with Boston, and for sure it is very awkward as you don't want to be associate with that cheater.
