Thank you for all the work and time you put into this
I for one am grateful and will be happy to support you.
Well I need a breather. Now with diff going batfuck crazy I can't put the time in here that I want to. Plus I am a bit tired/depressed with BTC.

That's what happens when you invest in bitcoin asics, they'll 100% become obsolete after some time. Now, what kind of person gets anrgy at such a predictable outcome? And posts pictures about it as well. I bet this is just attention whoring.
or an effort to set a new trend tired of btc smash your asics. I for one would like to see a lot more of this.

I think Bitfury is talking about their next group of wafers. They obviously have deployed the first groups of wafers as they are now 18% of the hashrate.
Unless they just frantically hooked up hundreds of Petahashes of their older technology that was just sitting around right before they get their new chips, which makes little sense to me.
I only hope they plan on selling a big chunk of the next batch of wafers to the public and not keeping all that hashrate for themselves.
Nothing would be worse for bitcoin than thousands of home miners "rage-quitting" and selling all their coins.
this would be okay if home miners have enough coin to drop price to under 200 usd. A price crash to 150-200usd would cut big farmers badly especially if they are using s-7's and avalon6's. right now bitmaintech is holding more then 23,000 coins in 1 or 2 wallets. a price tank to 150 would cost them 220 x 23,000 23,000 BTC is only a small drop in the bucket. We have approximately 15 million bitcoins in existence now. Most of the bitcoin held today is not by miners but by speculators. I don't argue where the coins are held but If bitmaintech flooded the market with s-7's in a private farm as a preemptive strike against 14-16 gear. a drop in price to 150 would cost them over 5 million in fiat. the account is 370 x 23000 = 8.5 million usd if coins drop to 150 it is 3.45 million I would like to see them lose that kind of coin if indeed they are plying this hash spike game. I am a small potatoes guy 12,000 usd in ⅓ coins, cash, gear. I like the idea of private world wide money. I know speculators hold a lot of coins. More then me by far. They hold more silver then me. They hold more gold then me. also in each case they have far more gold silver then I do. I will never affect price I am far too small.

I am giving .1 btc to anyone that hits the first block. I am giving compac stick to anyone that hits first block. On Feb 12 I will post results for the 3 runs, but I won't do the club for a while. I need to take a break for some time.

I see a move to 1300 then 1500 ph very fast. I see us level off near 2000ph.
I am very negative on btc diff rise as I see it to be huge.
I hope for a price rise.
my power cost for feb mar and april will be 900 usd total minus 300 heat value so that is 600 usd out of pocket.
I positioned myself to have that power money in hand.
I am hoping for a good price jump here. In the next 90 days.

I wrote a long thread on this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1338693.0Basically kano.is is superior to any pool that has made more the 100 blocks based on lifetime block luck. If your internet connects well to kano.is you should be on kano.is Now I used to have a few s-7's hosted in China they had poor connections to kano.is and I ran them on antpool and f2pool they had superior up time with the major Chinese pools. I felt that is a case to mine on the Chinese pools. Poor connection to kano.is As I see a flaw in BTC = not enough transactions are done daily and the Chinese pools do not support max transactions I let go of all my gear hosted in China. I purchased machines to run in USA and I self host them. They are pointed at kano.is

I want to mention this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1357595.0not my gear and the older revision still 1.9 btc for a used avalon6 MarkAz and OgNasty are good people. So if you want the Avalon6 Revision 1 at 1.9 coins it could be better then the Revision 2 at around 2.45 coins. This is why the game can be very hard to play. Some guys or groups are flooding the hashrate as I type. Good luck to all.

Damn....These 2xS3+'s just are not gonna cut the cheese anymore. Sooooo....how much am I gonna need for an S7 or an Avalon? I don't even want to look at those sites because I am sure I will drop to my knees and cry for mercy! LOL (not really funny tho). I only have one 20amp circuit to work with. Thanks ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Well an S7 is like $800 or less now. Get one of the coupons and that is like another $15 off. Yep and most recent Avalon 6 quote from a possibly pending group buy is at 875 (although thats still too high so it'll likely come down too) YEAH I have suspended the avalon 6 buy at 875 with back to back 20% jumps it does not look good at the price of 875. Don't know who or whom is adding 100ph a jump but it is not smaller guys buying s-7's and avalon6's. I am getting very close to selling off my gear rather then buying gear. my power pricing for my 17th mining here is: 4 th free 13 th at 9.7 cents or 17 th at about 300 usd a month any new gear added gets added at 9.7 cents not free.
|
|
|
I place this on hold til tommorrow.
And I think we are suspending it then.
At this moment I have 875 in cash from Dave F, as he drove past my town and dropped off cash for one unit.
I do realize some people may have crazy low power cost so if there is enough interest in the gear we may still do a buy.
right now no offers for .11 watt 14/16 size gear exist.
For me to buy gear now I need .10 watt gear.
We are looking at back to back 20% jumps so I have to hold back buying any gear for myself.

Having given this a bit more thought i now know for certain why they throttled on and off. out of the Feb 07 2016 144,116,447,847 20.06% 1,031,625,717 GH/s as reported by bitcoinwisdom we can look at the bitcoinity graph and add up china pools.. they have in total 895 ph/1031 ph so that is pushing 87% of the network now
HaD they turned that all on at once it would have def 51% the network or worse.. when all this started to come online we werent even close to 500 peta yet.
ALSO i dont know the math behind it exatcly but im sure it made them more coins by turning on in phases rather than just all at once. Looks like maybe a war between china pools this time LMAO
Best Regards d57heinz
well the see saw stopped but now it is just a hill going upwards! LOL! Well I paused the group buy for avalon6's as they don't make a lot of sense to buy at the moment. My mix is ⅓ gear ⅓ coins ⅓ cash. and I will mine and watch results for a while. https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficultyBitcoin Difficulty: 144,116,447,847 Estimated Next Difficulty: 173,409,162,590 (+20.33%) Adjust time: After 1719 Blocks, About 11.0 days Hashrate(?): 1,164,486,252 GH/s Block Generation Time(?): 1 block: 9.2 minutes 3 blocks: 27.6 minutes 6 blocks: 55.2 minutes Updated: 19:35 (1.8 minutes ago) Oh 1 sane day 148 blocks today the lowest total since jan 22 or 21 https://blockchain.info/blocks/1454891830291397448 (Main Chain) 2016-02-08 23:47:48 397301 (Main Chain) 2016-02-08 00:07:57 148 the best day since Jan 21 http://btc.blockr.io/charts![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FkDUq9qg.png&t=663&c=zfi9kmkeif6S_Q)

Is it really worth renting on miningrigrentals since the prices are really high over there. Minimum I found was at 0.0046 BTC/TH/Day against the recommended current price of around 0.0035 BTC/TH/Day ...
paying 46 when 35 is the fair price is a losing deal long term.

so you don't have bitfury chips mining away at .1 watts?
So where's all this crazy new hash coming from making difficulty jumps so large? Don't know but A1 builders were saying something would be ready in Jan. back to back 20% would mean 120 144 175 or 860 ph to 1031 th to 1237 th and if bitfury tacks more onto that 20% again and 1500ph 120 860 ------- done 144 1031 ------ done 175 1237 ------- ? 210 1500 ------- ? and that is a lot of hash I think I watch and mine with my soon to be too slow and old avalon6's

It was a paypal commercial correct? At least I saw the paypal one. I do agree the btc one on youtube is better. Yea, it was PayPal but until the end one would think it was BTC. When I saw it with the wife we both said PayPal? Why not Samsung pay Apple pay btc coin?

At Kano and ck this would only be done with your blessing.
And dusties could get decent chance at extra coin.
No. Not on kano.is As I keep having to repeat about every few pages ... They already have a balance and the total reward is known and shown on the Rewards page.I will some time in the dark distant future add transaction verification of the payouts so ckdb knows the "Unpaid" balance. It doesn't know this amount at the moment. It'll happen when it happens. Also, we are talking about cents to a few dollars at the absolute most for anyone who hasn't caused the problem themselves by not entering a payout address. The pool has paid out about 12,798 BTC so far. We are talking about a total of something less than 1BTC over the past 1.4 years. If you've got an absolute maximum dust payment every single block since the pool started 1.4 years ago, 515 * 0.00009999 = ~0.0515 = $20 No one has done this, I don't expect anyone to even have $1 in dust unless they caused it themselves by not having an address. If people see this as a problem, I'll solve it by banning accounts that are too small and they'll get their payout one day, but no more such accounts will exist. Otherwise, as I've said a few times ... some time in the future I'll add accounting to ckdb and payout dust. Sounds good to me .
|
|
|
That sounds like it might be a good idea. Your one issue might be keeping track of who is mining for what percentage of each 5Nd. If you want you could setup a dustaccount user on ckpoolmonitor. I'll look into setting up something so the dust accounts could log in and see their information, get notifications if they want, etc. all based on their workername for the dustaccount. I could give rough numbers for which miners mined when. should be easy if each dusty uses his forum name as the worker
