3241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will there be no more topics to write about? on: December 08, 2021, 08:25:49 AM
We already discussed a lot about bitcoin and the blockchain technology a lot, technical knowledge and trading strategies etc but this is not the end because I beleive the real adoption is yet to come so we will have lot of discussion about the adoption, regulations and how governments are approaching the Bitcoin discussion, etc. Probably less topics but with more actual reason for discussing not just for the sake of discussion.
3242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP: Hacked Wallet on: December 08, 2021, 06:59:55 AM
AFAIK, Metamask can't be hacked unless you give Authorization to the site you've connected with, so if you gave the access already then your wallet is already compromised so if you see any balance leftover there better move to a new wallet as soon as possible and never do such kind of mistake again.
3243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiner's with Zero investment. on: December 07, 2021, 02:29:12 PM
but it's true many are still here who never invested anything in cryptocurrencies.

I don't expect many people here even if they didn't invest the money from the pockets still they invested their time for doing bounties and campaign so I consider still its an investment because I respect a fact that"No amount of money can buy you a single second".

But I know lot of people still who didn't invest anything on cryptos because they still believes that bitcoin is still a scam! Roll Eyes
3244  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 07, 2021, 12:58:12 PM
I am here to stay, I learnt a lot from the forum to be honest which is not anything technical but even I got the better vision about what is money and why we all stuck in the middle class life forever no matter how hard we are working. Its great to be here with community all around the world meanwhile we also can see lot of veterans leave the forum which is not actually anything to do with the signature but for their personal reasons.

But do you think anyone who will vote for I am only here for signature campaign will leave a reply here? I don't think so. Grin
3245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: same topic name in section on: December 07, 2021, 09:08:58 AM
My question- is whether there are rules for writing two topics of the same name in a section of the forum. The subject is the same.
Interested to know tell
If the subject is same then you are adding zero value to your post so it will be moved to trashcan by mods. You are not even allowed to create the same topic on different boards even the two threads are created by same person, if its from different person the second one will be banned for plagiarism. Don't be stupid, gathering knowledge that is what the forum is made for not to troll the members.
3246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please, help me understand. on: December 07, 2021, 07:56:18 AM

In the altcoin market lacking patience is actually a good thing because "patience" always translates into experiencing the dumping part of the pump and dump duo and end up losing money which nobody wants. In fact one of the best ways to make maximum profit from the altcoin market as a whole is to move from altcoin to altcoin and never staying in any of the pumping ones beyond your profit targets.

Lack of patience is different from deciding what we should according to the market movement in my opinion, even if the altcoin move faster either it bump or dump we should wait until our expected price to reach but with lack of patience the panic sell button will be kicked so we choose to sell the altcoins for a loss which can be avoided with little patience if we have.

But when it comes to altcoin trading we should choose the coins wisely like more liquidity volume and less volatility so we will have better cushion to handle as per the situation.
3247  Other / Meta / Re: locked my topic, why? on: December 05, 2021, 01:16:02 PM
in the end I got lost in this forum. do not know which direction to go when trying to express opinions but are not welcome good and do not know how to interact properly. ., thank you opa, now I understand
I am the one who replied in that thread first, even I had a thought of reporting it for low quality but again I want to answer your question so I did it and also lot other members gave you enough of the reply so moderated decided to lock it because you got the answer what you want so there is no more unnecessary discussion is going on.
3248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it feel to get merit? on: December 04, 2021, 01:15:18 PM
is there someone willing to review the my post history?
I checked your post history and you are a good learner as far as I have noticed from all your 5 posts but it isn't enough to convince because you have points with flaws, when you are talking about the advantage of cryptocurrencies you mentioned gambling is a way to make money in gambling yes you can but it is not an investment idea and also you forget about the real reason for existence of bitcoin and cryptos which is decentralization (which I believe) not how much we will get as returns in a month or year.

Still a long way to go buddy and you will feel the taste of the merits soon, try to be more active and participate into the discussions.

Learning is the key.
3249  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening with the CAPTCHA? on: December 04, 2021, 10:35:02 AM
I don't know why, but I had the idea that for security reasons it is better to log out and log in. Can anyone confirm if there is no problem with this?
If its your device and you are the only one who is going to use it means you can keep logged in as long as you can because I used to log in to bitcointalk only from my Personal laptop before so I checked stay always logged in and I didn't find any security issues so it all depends on your device and what website you are logged in.

If you do the same in some shady website then it maybe a security threat for your device and still you can be save with firewall and anti virus protection.

sometimes VPN users and keeps giving you a captcha to solve to just open the website (before even reaching the login page).
Yeah, I too had such experience while using Opera especially because it comes with inbuilt VPN so it keep asking me to "verify you are a real human" with Google captcha and its kind of really annoying. Roll Eyes
3250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please, help me understand. on: December 04, 2021, 08:51:06 AM
Acceptable, but traders and holders are distinctly different, holders are not traders. But good traders even know more about investing. Only what is required in holding is time, it can be months to years.
Contrast opinions, because I feel traders have lack of patience in general including me which will hit us when we become a long term investor so it may take few lessons to get used to it which is what I observed from my experiences all these years from trader to investor and day trader but we can make the things to work when we know how to manage our funds which is must need skill for both trader and investor.
3251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please, help me understand. on: December 04, 2021, 07:47:01 AM
Both trading and investments are somewhat slightly similar and strategies can be applied successfully in both situations, but there are marked difference between them and very different approaches. I personally don't believe being a good trader would make one a good inveror and vice versa.
A good investor is always a good trader from opinion because they are actually selling and buying assets at the right time but in longer frame so they have better cushion when it comes to thr volatility nature of cryptocurrency since they have time to decide whether they have to sell or wait for the better position.

Meanwhile being a good trader is really more difficult task and most will fail in long term due to the inconsistent profit making and also they have to adopt different strategies at different market conditions.
3252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please, help me understand. on: December 03, 2021, 07:57:34 PM
The investment is nothing but the lonest form of trading because investment is made to reap profits which means you expect the price to be higher in the future which can be in a day or two which is trading in general or in few years which is investment.

Both are similar in sounds but strategies required is different for example you have to concentrate more on fundamental analysis of assets for long term but for the shorter form you need to be strong on technical analysis using indicators. Well if you found the price movement before its going to happen then you are the richest person in this world in the next few weeks so it is practically impossible.
3253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to penalize airdrop hunters? on: December 03, 2021, 02:53:13 PM
Parachain Swap's airdrop has been quite controversial as it only rewarded a small portion of its users. The vast majority of the people weren't rewarded (especially airdrop hunters), resulting in a decline of the token's price.

Do you think it's a good idea to penalize airdrop hunters? Will this do more harm or good to the adoption of crypto/Blockchain tech? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I won't agree that the reason for the price decline is just because of they didn't airdropped to all the participants, in fact the price will be declined more if more tokens were dumped if we look this technically. But its a strategy from the development team which is in practice from 2017 even in the bounties which is like suddenly the team will ask the participants to complete KYC after the completion of rewards and one who failed to submit won't get any rewards no matter they did every task and they also say a reason which is they don't want the alt accounts to abuse their rewards.
3254  Other / Archival / Re: Parting words to young warriors on: December 03, 2021, 12:33:43 PM
First of all I like the story very much, its a life lesson portrayed and compared in an interesting way and I hope many newbies will look at this and realize what they are actually doing due to their immense desire, maybe I can tell this story to my kids as well when I have one. Wink

Know your strength and weakness first because we want to become rich so we have to act for that and no one really want you to become rich so whenever we hear such an attractive investment scheme avoid that shit and keep concentrating on strethening your portfolio and one day you also will become rich but its not going to happen in a day or too unless you are very lucky.
3255  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening with the CAPTCHA? on: December 03, 2021, 11:43:59 AM
The real solution is to bypass captcha : https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.php

Imagine if you are a Tor user, you may have to do this even for hours to prove you are a real human. Cheesy and many have/had faced this issue and that is reason why Theymos introduced this feature.

EDIT: Posted faster above lol. Internet sucks.
Never be late to the party bro! Wink
3256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how long will bitcoin send transaction take on: December 03, 2021, 10:55:31 AM
You can also check this out: https://txfee.org/ the tool developed by @cajancharles which is also kind of accurate and simple to to find the fee required and estimated time for BTC and also you can have BSV,BCH and ETH fee calculator as well by toggling the tab in the upper right corner.
3257  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2K merit club :-) on: December 02, 2021, 02:04:54 PM
Getting 2000--even if you were one of the old-school Legendaries who had the initial 1000 airdropped to them--isn't easy.
Royse777 wasn't legendary when the merit system was introduced he was at hero Member rank so he earned 1500+ in all those days and in the way of his contribution which isn't in the merit hunting way as some of the members do these days.

Don't chase merits let the merit chase you!
3258  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2K merit club :-) on: December 02, 2021, 09:34:21 AM
<...>

Congratulations to you Royse777 for reaching 2000 merits It took about 7 years to achieve that.

Nah its only about 3 years and 11 months only because merit system introduced into bitcointalk only in January 2018.

@Royse777 congratulations for achieving the new milestone and many more to come, and I still remember you are the one who send me the required number of merit (13 if I am not wrong) to become full member when I was hanging at mid 80 at the merit column. Kiss
3259  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this exchange legit? on: December 02, 2021, 07:56:17 AM
yeh, I guess don't be so stupid is the moral of the story.

I found it through a chick I met on tinder. Damn, I did not see that scam coming. Should have done though. Women are always my downfall.
Its a scam and this is not the first story about tinder mate suggest to use and exchange and invest on a project. Maybe the same person behind this and creating new fake exchange again and again to trap new people.

Never forget that any legit exchange will ask you to deposit more money to withdraw your money, if they do then its scam that's the end of the story.
3260  Other / Meta / Re: Request to unban user Evgenklm on: December 02, 2021, 06:04:37 AM
I'm getting a strange vibe about the merits exchange and similar writing style between the Op account and the banned user.
Finding whether they are alts or not is different and it can be done by the investigators who are actively exposing the alts. But we can see many if the accounts are facing similar issues and they get banned at the end for posting something which isn't posted by actual owner which may proves that OP isn't lying.

Anyway OP have to ask his friend (or alt) to sign in the message from that ethereum message to prove he owns the address and may the recovery process will be started.
