I agree with everything except the "stonks will correct heavily soon" part. They are indeed massively overvalued, but the Fed will keep money printer go brrr on the downlow every year from this point forward, sending stonks even higher. And at the end of every business cycle (7-9 years), they'll use whatever downturn "event" as cover to push trillions of $$$ through, giving Wall Street another massive injection. Next time it won't be just a few trillion though, it'll be more like $10-15 Trillion.

The melt-up will continue for at least another decade, maybe two. Rates will go negative in the U.S. and everywhere else.

Eventually the Fed and the Treasury will merge into one entity, and the nationalization (er, globalization) of the dollar printing machine will be complete.

Just to add to this, The Fed Reserve Bank of Chicago Charles Evans came out today and basically said that [paraphrasing] the Fed is "on track to make at least another $4.6 Trillion in asset purchases by 2023."

Fucking hell, they're not even on the DL anymore. In plain sight robbery.

3242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 04, 2021, 08:27:59 PM
I realy dont understand why privacy coin will be delisted, the first crypto coin launch it should be privacy for everyone but the circullation also transparrant. And XMR is the one of the very good privacy coin. Gov will always reject the privacy coin but privacy coin will always have its own user IMO

This is true.

They had a very long time to come up with a good reason to stop Monero.

I havent seen one yet.

Just the usual FUD

I don't think Bittrex is bluffing so I fail to see the FUD.

Also delisting privacy coins and letting the others go tells me something very important. They want us to be there. You decide if that's a good thing or not.

There we go Mindrust endorsed.

The last coin he poo pooed was BTC at about 10K

How did that work out for you? despite all the warnings from genuinely concerned friends

I also heard you were now chasing tether

Did we win yet?
3244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 03, 2021, 12:03:21 AM
Yes, did not sell a single monero since that post. And no plans of selling anytime soon. Historically Q1 is when altcoins pump, and this price drop seems like a huge overreaction to me. I'll admit it went further down than I expected, but I'm not too concerned. I imagine there will be support at 0.0042 which is the previous double top.

Oh and I have now increased my allocation to 100% altcoins. Most of that ETH, and XMR second largest holding.

Shit, you don't post enough anymore!
and then you decide to when I'm outta merits!

When BTC atomic swaps?
3246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: January 02, 2021, 06:12:52 PM
So you guys that use Twitter want to start calling out the Fudders?

I've seen posts like "Monero has unlimited supply" without context FUD.

All it takes is a few concerted Fudders to scare the uniformed away if no-one calls them out on their lies. The Sheeple are easily manipulated.

I am amused that we have made a new ATH of $29,700 and no one seems to have noticed.  Including myself.
You are right but now we are at $29300 hopefully now next stop is $30K very quickly coming.

Just squeeze your butt cheeks tight and pray the tether train keeps chooching.

W0w you had to break this account out of a 2 year hibernation to say this?

3250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 01, 2021, 08:59:54 PM
W0w, people are getting some real cheap coins, sale of the decade going on right now.

The same People will be crying in 6 months saying they didn't get a chance to grab any while they cry about how low it is right now.

If the ticket wins, I'll regret not taking your advice.   Undecided

Exactly my point. "It's better to regret things you've done than ones you haven't" (putting it in quotes because I've seen it attributed to some allegedly famous person or another and I don't want to get banned for plagiarism, but it's a fairly common saying where I'm from).

I can think of a few non reversible actions that this would not be true for. Wink
3252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: January 01, 2021, 07:34:35 PM
Bittrex delisted Monero along with ZCash and Dash which was a weird decision sparking concerns about a regulator crackdown on privacy coins.
Monero is known to have the best privacy and we have also read previously about the IRS hiring Chainalysis to find a way to trace the transactions.

Can Bittrex know something others don't or acted before anyone else for their own reasons? Will Monero be delisted by more exchanges? Price drops and I'll be waiting to buy.

Bittrex has always had shit volume that was driven by arbitrage and nothing else.

They have major problems with regulators and are trying to show what good little boys they are.
3253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 01, 2021, 07:13:34 PM

Bittrex is a joke does not effect us at all, does anyone even remember getting listed on that shit exchange?

Monero was around before these centralized exchanges that are delisting and will be around long after.

Institutional investors have strong hands. Get used to it.  Cool

They don't give up hard assets when they can just print and dole out fake ones.

The Treasury Department is pulling a fast one.  The shit is going down.
This new regulation will cripple crypto.
Best explanation I've seen so far  https://twitter.com/bendavenport/status/1344341036412203014

After you're through celebrating the New Year and goggling at helicopter memes, please comment here:
https://beta.regulations.gov/commenton/FINCEN-2020-0020-0001

After this rule gets finalized, there will be no going back.

... Warren Buffett...

I like reading the materials of Buffet and Munger. There is much practical wisdom in their writings. But you are completely right: they are humans as well with the faults that come with being human.

...
His later messages were more nuanced ('perhaps not understanding new digital things that good').

It is clear he does not understand modern technology. He did not buy Apple, Facebook, ... I think he only bought Microsoft because he became friends with Bill Gates. He does not buy what he does not understand. At his age, it is very difficult to understand what Bitcoin truly is.

I think he knows anything he invests in lends it credibility and he is a creature of the system that keeps the masses oppressed and likes the spot on the top where he sits and is not going to do anything to change that paradigm.

In other news I have had fun running this on the TV while I'm doing other shit the last few days. Cheesy
