Ah no, il mio account è verificato.

@kano You should pay someone to write the code of the BIP100, because now there isn't.
|
|
|
My understanding is that BIP 100 requires a miner vote for ANY blocksize increase and then it's only marginal.
So imagine the network is bogging down and miners are raking in fees for the big transactions, do you think they will vote to increase blocksize? If you say "yes", are you confident enough to bet your business on it? Your life savings? How is that any better than what we have now? Markets hate uncertainty. We are witnessing that.
Yep. Giving voting power to the miners is another way to change how the network was designed. It's is another bad idea as limiting the block size.

Bitcoin's rises and falls haven't made much sense to me in the past years. I suppose it's normal to be clueless about something that's nearly impossible to follow.
A good and old advice is that people should not invest on what they don't know, but I'm sure that many were doing it, and many heavy hands too.

You can see that even here on Bitcointalk many users doesn't know a shit about Bitcoin, so you can be sure that most speculators have no clue about what they have in their hands.

You would think this is true, but I think there is more at play here with the overall fear in global markets led by China.
Why is there so much trust on these markets?

@iCEBREAKER I'll give you a secret. With the next fork it will be 1 block for minute, with the reward of 2.5 BTC (and after the halving, 1.25 BTC every minute and so on) Hmm, even the max block size will be probably divided by 10, or even better, it will be made unlimited

@TerraMaster But still miners need the majority of the nodes, and the nodes of exchanges, payment processors ecc .. Even if the 99% of the miners will chose to be on BIP101, but the majority of nodes will still with the old block format, the 1% of miners are going to make a lot of money, because only their blocks will be validated from the network (the majority of nodes/services/users) So miners have a lot of power, but still they need to follow the will of the market. Anyway, I think that the market will converge on the BIP101

<Lightsword> hearn, here’s a tweak that may help with privacy though, only download the tor list if the node gets full <Lightsword> hearn, there’s no need to download it unless a node is getting full <hearn> yes, that could be done. it needs a bit of code changes. If this was an huge problem for you, than it will be solved it seems.
