3241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: palestinazis & Israel? What do you think about that situation? on: April 13, 2015, 10:09:09 AM
No of course I would not mind. חֵיפָה is one of many examples to cross my mind. April 1948. A city flattened on top of its thrown out civilians in every district. Do you want personal stories told by my best friend's grandfather?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haifa#Government
Not sure I follow. Which militia are you referring to again? Haifa is a place, not a militia.

Quote
The funny thing is, you should read the Arabic version. It is like it s talking about a parallel universe where things went VERY much different. Yet because one group speaks the language you do, what they say is truth. Consider maybe the other side is either severely mouth-gagged or dead.
I don't understand Arabic or Hebrew. The truth is determined by facts. Are you saying that Wikipedia is factually wrong?

I think he wanted to say you should read and heard their version in the original language, because the translation it 'always' a little bit different than the one in the original language.

3242  Other / Meta / Re: A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 13, 2015, 09:04:00 AM
I think if you wear a paid signature you are held to a higher standard for things like this. Since so many people pad their counts it is automatically assumed paid sig + double posts = padding. I bet if you did not have a paid signature it would not have been reported/merged.

So as I said previously the real problem is the sig ad, if someone without it would have made the same thing I'm sure their posts have not been touched; but it is not against the forum rules write two post in a row (attached in seconds) and especially to make comfortable the legibility and making understand the user who asked a question.

This is the illogical thing here.
3243  Other / Meta / Re: Petition freeze avatars indefinitely on: April 13, 2015, 08:54:55 AM
Must remove avatar feature again!

Can you explain the real purpose to remove again the possibility to upload a custom avatar? Don't you like to see the pineapple that I have right now  Grin ?

No only old members can have an avatar, please remove your pineapple Smiley

Can you explain better what do you mean with old members? I'm here since the beginning of 2014 so I suppose I'm not old, but your "censorship" to all the other users is not a very good comportment (by legendary like you).
3244  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash - a new anonymous prepaid card [Recharge it with bitcoin] on: April 13, 2015, 08:50:07 AM
Do we have the owner or a representative of the website registered on Bitcointalk?
I don't think so. Or at least there doesn't seem to be anyone that has identified himself as such (that I know of).

No I didn't find any user here in the forum related with that service, maybe they aren't registered here. Today I will ask him if someone of their team will join the forum so they can give us more information.

I tried using the virtual one yesterday and it worked completely fine for a $5 transaction. Once I converted to USD I didn't go through any additional fees. I am still unsure of how much the fee for the actual conversion is, though, since it has varied the two times I did it.
How much details about the card transactions do they display online?
I didn't look into it too much detail, but I do remember it having the date and time as well as the amount charged to the card. I can give you a more detailed answer later today when I grt back on the computer.

I'm also interested and I should still activate it  (and especially try it for some purchase).
3245  Other / Off-topic / Re: So Long Folks-- Time for me to go... on: April 13, 2015, 08:41:01 AM

How is this related?
Whenever a high profile/closely watched member (temporarily) leaves the forum it would be appropriate to post in meta because their absence would affect the forum as a whole. However some lower profile people seem to see this happen and post here when they decide to leave, even though most people don't have a clue who they are - these types of threads belong in reputation

Or maybe better off topic, I don't see the purpose to post this thread here in the meta section.

3247  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: April 13, 2015, 08:31:29 AM
In fact most of the signature campaigns now don't count low quality posts. So the signature spams also won't be counted. I hope that people can think before they post.

Are you sure about that? I think managers do check the posts but I don't think all managers check all posts and campaigns using bots will count spams and it may not count substantial posts. Most bots check the number of words in user's post which is wrong to check whether a post is substantial or spam. Some spams may look like substantial post. It is hard to know "real" intention of the user. I do think signature campaigns increase spams.

Simple the signature campaigns maintainers should accept only valid users in their sig. campaign if the allow each user to enroll it is normal that the spam will increase (but as someone said yesterday (a well know term term) "any publicity is a good publicity") because more posts >> more view of the signature but when you try to write more the quality of the posts will drop.
3248  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 200$ paypal need bitcoin on: April 13, 2015, 08:21:53 AM
I did not say im the real owner, i knew that selling/buying accounts is allowed in this forum so i have bought an account to sell my paypal.
If you want paypal history proof just let me know.
But do not say stolen account please. you can change your negative trust to other reason because you do not have any proofs about scamming.
My English bad i know because i Speak other 2 language and English is third language to learn in school.
Cheers
you did not buy this account. I can guarantee that. More likely then not it was hacked earlier today, but if that is not the case then it was hacked a little more then 30 days ago.

If you really purchased the account then why don't you post proof of purchase?
If i send you proof of buying you will delete your bad trust ?

Why don't you use vireos as I suggested you previously, the tactic to buy a st member account to appear more trustworthy and sell your 200 dollars for bitcoin is very "dishonest". However I can't judge no one but the negative trust is not a problem and you can continue to trade here with the use of an escrow.
3249  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 200$ paypal need bitcoin on: April 12, 2015, 11:42:51 PM
Can send 200$ gift
you first if you newbie if you trusted i can go first

Simple use virwox.com , there are a lot of scammer and dishonest users (not all) that want to screw up you.
3250  Economy / Lending / Re: redsn0w's loans [For reference] on: April 12, 2015, 10:57:42 PM
I would suggest giving each person a different address to repay to so it is very clear if someone pays you back or not. When everyone pays to the same address, two people could claim that they repaid you when really one did, but it would be hard to say for sure which one did

edit: congratulations on starting to lend and good luck with your loans Smiley

Hmm.. you are right. From the next loan I will give an unique and univocal address to each user. Thanks for your appreciation, and good luck too you.

3256  Other / Meta / Re: An exact/estimate reason why Bitcointalk doesn't load without VPN for me? on: April 12, 2015, 10:00:07 PM
I think I understand what you are trying to proove. I posted exact lines(except I removed first 3) I got after running the command "traceroute bitcointalk.org". I didn't want to make changes as it may lead to more complications. So...?
I apologize in advance for being blunt. I don't otherwise will achieve any sort of positive communication.

M.Z. doesn't know what he's doing. He's afraid to admit it. He had either:

1) managed to get his computer&gateway working by installing some malware or shitware that screws up routing
2) buys his Internet access from some black market supplier, equivalent to earlier Indian dishwallahs who frequently were resellers of cracked-encryption satellite TV receivers
3) steals his Internet access from someplace with significant restrictions
4) is completely honest and forthright, but pays for Internet access to somebody who does 1)-3).

The situation you are with is typically called "painted yourself into a corner". You are now afraid to make any changes, like a floor painter who didn't think ahead and didn't plan a way to leave the room he had to paint.

Post your trace will you? Mine shows two class A IPs as well, just before "reaching" the DDoS protection, my ping times are significantly better though. See redsn0ws post above, they also have similar IPs 10.10.48.5 and 10.10.68.11

Mine:

3258  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should police be required to have liability insurance? on: April 12, 2015, 09:51:39 PM
There are plenty of posts in this forum about police shootings and police brutality, and invariably, a comment about how bad cops murder a citizen, then the tax payers are on the hook for their defense and an eventual settlement. With this in mind, should police be required to carry an insurance policy to cover payouts and lawsuits related to their behavior while on the job? Doctor's are required to carry malpractice insurance, why not cops? Protect the tax payers from bad cops.

It is a really nice idea, but who knows maybe someone will start to prove an insurance 'against' the cops. The mentality is changed in these years, who is supposed to be paid for protect the citizen is who murder 'you'. Not all the cops act in this way, but the majority as you can see here :

3259  Other / Meta / Re: A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 12, 2015, 09:02:33 PM
So you disagree with the practice of moderators merging posts, but plan to encourage it by reporting double posts to them from now on?

I see...

No, it would seem but it is not so. A disagree with the practice of "merge" because it is not against the forum rules write two posts in a row (for make comfortable the legibility). If they will say : yes it is against the forum rules then no one (me toom or only who is wearing a sig ad) should write two posts in a row anymore but they cannot do it only because I am (or someone else) wearing a sig ad; this is the real insane thought behind the scene.

Again, if there is not the spam case or those two posts were not insubstantial I don't see the reason.

Sorry again, I want only discuss in a peaceful way. Thanks again for the attention.
3260  Other / Meta / Re: A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 12, 2015, 08:48:29 PM
...
Sounds like somebody is preparing for his own little banishment dance...How quickly the mighty have fallen Tongue

No, I will (obviously) will not start my own little banishment dance  Grin.

-snip-
Is it against the forum rules?

I dont think so, well in fact I know its not against the rules, because its not listed as a rule. The question is whether the post is spam or not and this is unrelated to whether you quote a single person or multiple. I think its personal preference. IIRC doog said that he stopped advertising his signature because he was afraid to get a ban because of said posting style. Thats the crux, if you sell your signature you will have a hard time arguing that its just your posting style, esp. if you get paid per post.
....

So the problem is only because I am selling my signature space to bit-x.com? If I didn't wear a signature my two posts would have not been removed, this is very "insane". Only because they are paying me for my posts I can't write 2 posts in a row, but the signature campaign is not against the forum rules and those two posts are not to be considered spam or insubstantial so why all this?

No, not exactly. I dont think there is a problem per se with that posting style. Its like posting in offtopic, its perfectly fine. Its just that when there is a judgement to be made the fact that you have a paid signature might have an influence on the judgement. People will certainly report you more often because you sell your signature. People will see these posts and think "is that just for the extra x satoshi?". If there is no paid signature these thoughts just dont come up, because there is no reason to doubt your motives.

Yes you are right, the unique problem is signature campaign but if the post are not spammy or insubstantial I don't see the reason to delete it or merge. It is my personal choice to make two posts (attached in seconds, for make comfortable the legibility) and as you ( & me) said if I had not a signature I am sure my post would have not been merged Wink.

I hope you understand me, this is really illogical. Sorry guys , if I seem arrogant but this is my point of view (and maybe I am wrong, who knows?).

I understand you perfectly fine. Its like: there is no problem, just dont do it. Im afraid thats what we have to live with. I think its what those spamming brought on the campaigns and those participating. If it feels too restrictive there is always an easy exit.

I will not write 2 posts in a row anymore (also if it is not against the rules) but if I will 'catch' or seen an user do the same will report his posts for sure (I have already reported an user and I would like to see if his posts will be merged or not).
