3241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING! james clayton from expanse is a con artist and exp is a pump n dump on: April 10, 2017, 11:31:56 AM
Soo basically there's nothing then.
3242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Blockchain powered immutable cloud computer on: April 10, 2017, 11:30:22 AM
What is the trash? Is this project somehow developing, the price seems to be attractiv  Huh
I've been looking all over for the trash but there doesn't seem to be anything.. I am surprised by the price drop but i don't see any reason to assume it's legit. Probably a good time to get in if anything.
3243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 29, 2017, 09:39:05 AM
Yes KMD is back in the Top 30 on Coinmarketcap.com and they corrected the total outstanding supply of BTCD and it is now far below KMD, where it should be.

KMD is pretty much at ATH and still rising.  I'm not selling any of mine until middle of next month at the earliest and then just to take some profits on a small portion.

Since  1BTCD=50KMD, why didn't the price move close to eachother. I gap in valuation between the two is more than 15000sat. Can anyone explain the reason for this difference
Because you can swap btcd for kmd , but not vice versa.

Also because BTCD has a much smaller supply, and is more easily manipulated.

The BTCD pump actually led the KMD pump, which doesn't make any sense since KMD is the main product.

Seeing how it retracted immediately, BTCD was most surely some P&D action.
3244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | 1 Million RISE Give-Away | Delegate Contest on: March 26, 2017, 09:39:20 AM
How is the new dev team coming along?
3245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Blockchain powered immutable cloud computer on: March 25, 2017, 09:39:24 AM
Why is this thread so quiet? And how/where are development updates posted? On slack it seems to be quite quiet on the dev side as well.

I expected some more updates from such a big dev team.

Not worried though, it think the project has great potential, but i'm just wondering.
3246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 25, 2017, 09:34:27 AM
I was really expecting more from this coin. The hype was worth more than the pitch  Undecided

Whilst the price is disappointing the engagement from the development team, primarily the lead, has been good.  I don't expect guaranteed profit from a coin but I do expect the dev team to work hard when they have my money from an ICO; and the Komodo team is working hard.

If you want to see hype worth more than the pitch go and check out Waves.  The second that I break even with it I'm getting out of that shitshow of a project.

Totally agreed. I want to add that considering the problems happening, the way they were picked up and fixed was nothing less than excellent; exactly what one would expect from a solid dev team. Personally i like to buy at these moments because the market is in fear but a good dev team will fix it anyway, which will give a huge impulse to the market when the code is stable again.

As far as long term goes this project has quite some potential
3247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIVX] - PRIVATE INSTANT VERIFIED TRANSACTION - POS 2.0 - ZEROCOIN PROTOCOL on: March 16, 2017, 09:13:07 AM
I dare not believe this coin has been pumped so hard and almost 10 million USD market cap, it will fail very soon, because the project is in hype mode, but without real technology. Cash out asap, traders.

It will not necessarily dump though.

It was way undervalued before (considering very solid dev team, constant delivery on promises, excellent community etc etc.), so the pump was going to happen anyway.

Considering DASH is at 700mil market cap, the current price of PIVX is not that crazy. There is an overall crypto hype going, especially with anon coins, and considering that hype, we might very well see some solid support at these levels.

Looks like a shakeout to me, could also just be people chasing the other crazy pumps going on today. Meh, I stay diversified and I am still way up today. I also know what it is like being on a legit team and dealing with this stuff, so I don't blame the team. From what I can see these people seem legit, and I have been following their Github and they are working hard on it. This is the price I bought it at anyway, if they keep on working on it, should rise again.

Compare to Dash? You guys keep dreaming, this coin is not Dash, and top 30 is impossible, you get pumped with 20X during the hype, and the volume can't support higher price.

No this coin is not DASH (yet) and as such it will not reach a market cap of 650 million (yet). However, it is a great alternative to DASH and it has a lot of things going for it, AND it has great potential. I think 5-10 million marketcap is easily justifiable considering the current product, team and community, so a pump could bring it well above that. Especially with the crazy anoncoin pumps going on, i'm surprised there was so much resistance at 12-15k sats.

In the end it doesn't matter that much what happens now because i trust in the long term viability of PIVX, and i think it will easily get a top 20 marketcap spot in the future.

Seems to me that a lot of Dash money freed up by the pump and is moving into the other anon coins. PIVX is just riding the train; it will be interesting to see how far this will go!
3250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIVX] - PRIVATE INSTANT VERIFIED TRANSACTION - POS 3.0 - ZEROCOIN PROTOCOL on: March 10, 2017, 03:04:13 PM
Wow! someone just dumped 200K PIVX upto 0.00003111 on trex. Sadly, had no buy order Sad

Looks like a day trader move; some 6-7 BTC buy orders came up immediately after. Looks like it will get tough to rebuy for them though, because someone just placed a 6BTC buy order at 3400.

3252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] PoS - MNs - Upcoming Trustless Truly Untraceable Anon on: January 05, 2017, 08:28:13 AM
All, I can understand and in many ways, agree with some of your concerns and compaints.

But please keep in mind that this BCT thread is not the only place of DNET community activity nor should be.
In fact, we have far more people being active on Slack to fill pages and pages of this forum thread every day.

We have posted here multiple times for everyone who care about the coin to participate on the vote.
We have posted on Slack multiple times to remind people to join the vote also.
We wanted people in crypto to vote but also those who aren't to get a better non-biased feedback.
Hence the decision to not utilize MNO voting but involve far more people via secure anonymous poll.
I'm quite certain that most DNET masternode whales have voted. So they have not missed out. Cool

Also, another reason was that a good name, if it's this publicly listed here, will be taken by name poachers long before poll gets finished.
If you have a great name suggestion, make sure you buy all the .com, .org etc domains as well as secure all the SNS and forum ID's etc.
That costs a lot of money and time. We have secured many domain names out of our own pocket. Many that didn't even make this poll!
So yeah, we can go on and on with a new name poll. But keep in mind that it does cost money and also takes away marketing time.

I think I'll always have reservations with any new name. I really liked "DNET" myself. But I guess that's coz I got used to it.
Thanks to a community member forking out a lot of money, we have a professional marketing company doing this for us.
Whatever new name we get, once a "good" logo & artwork is made for it, and we let it sink in, I'm sure it will be fine. Grin

BTW, we have had many discussions in slack about how to improve governance as we know it needs improvement.
We have ideas (In-wallet voting but not just MNO's etc) but not enough devs to make it happen any time soon.
If any of you are able to assist with improving the current Masternode Voting system, please PM me or s3v3nh4cks. Smiley

Thanks for the explanation, that sounds perfectly reasonable. I agree that any name change will probably be met with a certain amount of resistance and i also think that the new name will be perfectly accepted in the future.
I also agree that the negative annotation of Darknet as a name will hold the coin back, so in general I see this development as very positive.

I also want to add that on slack, development of the coin is widely discussed and everyone has a change to chip in.

So to anyone that feels they are not able to influence the direction coin as much as they would like: please join slack and see how active and open the community really is.

This community is one of the most open and honest i've seen in my 3 years of crypto, and i have complete confidence that this project will be a great succes!

what are the alternative names? i see no mention on the OP unless i missed it?
private instant verified eXchange or Rezalute or zonovera

must agree with above these are terrible names.

+1

I also agree. I think none of the names are catchy or easily remembered, and they also don't really mean anything.

Looks like the whale with 1.5M StartCoin has put his SC on bittrex again and put up a 500k sellwall..

suprised no one dumped into that at 800 and riding the btc pump.

good for us tho the price in btc in staying around the same while btc price is going up so we are going up to Smiley

I'm also pleasantly surprised. Though probably all daytraders are out of the coin for now, so only long holders are left, and of course they don't sell. Volume has also been extremely low the last week.
3256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] PoS - MNs - Upcoming Trustless Truly Untraceable Anon on: December 26, 2016, 11:06:13 AM
quick update: injecting additional 4 master nodes , strength of this is unbelievable, hence acting immediate, something is up (attention from "deep" sources has to be strong) also ~ 7 BTC order is hanging strong. some 40K sell orders here or there but not in great amounts

BTC is waaaay too centralized , can't be good long term... speak soon, spinning off nodes (electricity requirement for mn and general attention once they are up and running are negligible)

---

done (its has been a long I have done anything remotely so extreme) additional 4 mn (servers) injected and activated, total stands @ 96 master nodes running 24/7, all servers have sensing software on darknetd activity on a task troubles auto-restarts are triggered (but they are not that frequent)

funds came from some other coins (both POS and dust) such as NLG

got now awfully close to intended target of 100 nodes which I will reach either by above (dust POS) or via payouts

trading sentiments ? I just dont see BTC (due to extreme centralization mostly in China) to have a future unless they do something about it, since we are all relative to it.. its ok it goes up, but one could also easily switch to ETH which btw also have own set of problems (again centralized mining and looking for loopholes constant to break the system) it is awful the amount of greed and just plain carelessness ///

What service do you use for setting up masternodes? I want to start ca. 30 but i don't feel like spending thousands of dollars on it

3258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 20, 2016, 08:56:42 AM
Pffrt: You sold 10k coins. It's not hard to trade 10k coins without liquidity. When I talk I'm talking about people buying/selling 5+ BTC who can't sell and buy back at the drop of a hat. And of course I'm relaying the positive stuff because the FUDers are only relaying the negatives AND blowing it out of proportion to manipulate people into crashing the price during a period of low volume/liquidity. I don't need to reiterate that stuff. When StartJoin makes progress, I post about it. That's not hype. That's INFORMATION.

I recommended it at 2330 before it went to more than double that price. I even tweeted not to chase it up after 2500. After it peaked and fell to 2000 I said *I* was holding and buying/rebuying on the way down, which I did. I suggested people should hold because I underestimated how much the FUDers would blow things out of proportion and actively suppress the price. And again, you can't just sell 5 or 10 BTC in this environment and reliably expect to buy it back lower. I didn't recommend *buying* again until 1000 sats. Multiple people buying 5 or 10 BTC will NOT be able to buy under 1000 sats (maybe not even under 2000). It's going to be first come, first served, and whoever snatches the small sell wall is probably the only person who will get in at these prices... UNLESS YOU'RE TRADING SMALL AMOUNTS.

So, in short... if you're trading small amounts... I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU. Sell and go, or buy and either lurk or be proactive. I'm not here to waste time arguing with people like you who are trading pennies while misrepresenting my positions and lying about 5x gains.

Actually i had 150k. It WAS worth 5BTC, but when i sold it, it was worth 2.5. HOWEVER, if i wanted to buy it all back, i could do it for 1.5 BTC or even less. Actually, I could easily rebuy 500k and still be at only 60% of the price i sold for. And that's just buying up the order book. If you take into account buying what's being dumped, we easily have 2mil liquidity at ~1k.

How much is your position worth now anyway? You have like 500k? 1mil? Even you could have easily sold and bought back right now at a huge profit.

I think you just completely misjudged the actual worth of the project and hodled too long. Too bad man, sometimes the bears have it at the right end.

On a related note, Karl has stopped responding to me because I think he just considers me someone trying to get inside info (and maybe he's right), so fuck him, I'm going to spill the beans. Here are some things he said...

1) He wants to buy coins and I shouldn't tell anyone... but he already said it out loud in a chat room before he apparently realized it might hurt his chances of buying cheaper. This is why I believe he bought from the premine to fund StartJoin development instead of selling on the market.

2) He's started the hunt for a new "Chief Technology Officer". I don't think he's much happier with StartJoin's launch than the community was and sees the need to improve the team.

3) He said my idea to make START proof of stake to prevent 51% attacks was a good one and he'd be considering it when he got a new CTO.

4) He said similar about my idea to clone a more full-featured coin and just port over the blockchain, because voila... new features, improved wallet, etc. without too much work.

5) When I gave him hell about not supporting the price he replied, and I cut and paste, "If you knew an asset was going to increase its trade volume by 10-20x over the next 12 months would you be overly concerned about supporting the price or would you want price to go lower?" The volume was in the 10-15 BTC range at the time.

6) When I bitched at him about lack of PR and frequent community updates he replied, "I'm committed to making this work. We're going to throw everything at this for 12 months and either be a huge success or burn up in a blaze of glory, but slow incremental approach is now coming to an end."

7) He has plans to partner with AID:Tech, but wouldn't say anything else about it other than a focus on crowdfunding in the developing world. He also hinted at this in public about 6 or 7 weeks ago.

So there you have it. They aren't abandoning the coin and they're going to ramp things up from here and push hard for at least the next year to make this work. I guarantee you're going to see higher prices in the near future.

LOL YOU'RE A WINNER.

also, i'll speak for EVERY FUCKING PERSON HERE when i say WE'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN WE FUCKING SEE IT (that goes for 1. the tech/releases/PR/improved ecosystem whatever the fuck have you and 2. the fucking PRICE!)

not to mention with him inviting many types of questions/comments to his way of speaking......he just sounds like he's on the inside of whoever the fuck whale/hacker or market-maker is railing this coin up and down with price manipulation.  i'm sure as him and that cuck max start their 'hype' phase for 2017...the price will "magically" rebound.  Roll Eyes gee look at that totally convenient timing of buy walls and pump returning just as the sell side thins out lol.

THANK YOU. I happen to completely agree: i'll believe it when i see it. Historically speaking, and that is only looking at the facts, there is a huge chance none of this stuff will ever happen.
3259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 16, 2016, 08:48:15 AM
Pffrt: I'm not sure how relaying information or countering false claims is hyping, but given that you sold at the bottom I don't see much point in discussing it with you while you regurgitate the same tired misrepresentations and FUD. Sorry for your loss.

BTW, I know two people who recently sold large amounts near the bottom and they're already talking about buying back at a small profit. Even the FUD crew that claims the coin is dead are starting to say it's about time to buy back... as they always planned to.... and calling the price they hope to get. If you don't know how FUDers operate in downtime and blow good/bad news out of proportion you better learn quick.

Listen to liars, thieves, and old school penny stock manipulators, or see the reality for yourself. Your choice.

Actually i saved myself multiple BTC by selling, because i could just buy all of it back right now at a fraction of the price i sold it for. I'm not though, because i think i will get a better deal. I didn't disagree with you initially, and i agreed with your initial entry point. However, when the release came out the way it did (absolutely disastrous), there was no reason to be bullish anymore, and anyone who had looked critically at the available information would not have been so confident.

Yes you are relaying information, but only the positive stuff, which is completely outweighed with all the crap going on. I am also just relaying information, and want to give a counterargument to your hype because i think the information you spread is extremely confusing.
If what you have told is the whole story, then the price would have been stable at 2-3k sats, but it just isn't. There is more to the story and people deserve to know it so they can decide for themselves if the current price is fair or not.

In the end the results speak for themselves. Since you started with your over the top bullish attitude, the bears have won and people who followed your advice had their investment slaughtered, for now. The smart bears will buy back at a proper entry point and get possibly 5x the gains you get with your advice.

I read the chat, and i know they are thinking or re-entering, but not at 1000 sats. If they did want to get in at this price they would have bought that 5BTC sell wall already.
3260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 15, 2016, 10:23:12 AM
You guys are killing the price just by talking so much bullshit. He's not dumping premine on the market, no one is trying to scam you, START is close to being integrated into the platform, and you're all just a bunch of crybabies, trolls, and FUDers. The only scam here is people telling noobs this nonsense about scams and causing them to sell at a loss. THAT is the scam. You should be ashamed... but of course you're not and will come back at me with a bunch more bullshit I don't even have the patience to respond to anymore. When things progress none of you will even admit you were wrong.

Crypto traders are vultures and scum. I feel sorry for anyone trying to start a legit business with you people involved.

The entire altcoin market is in the dumps. Holding my START like a pro. Saddens me that some of you will still profit with all your lying, innuendo, and whining. You don't deserve it.

I'm neither interested in FUDing or hyping, as you seem to be doing. I'm just a realist. I analyze a project and give it a rating, which i compare to the market price to see if the price is fair or not. There are more factors at play than just how good the project is in theory. I look at involvement in and of the community and i look for bullshit. Also if the goal is realistic and many other things.

All i found with StartJoin is a whole bunch of bullshit, really, more bullshit than in any other project i've followed. Furthermore, the developers don't seem to give a shit about the community.

Yes the project is good in theory, yes it has potential. But in the wrong hands it will still fail. Plenty of good ideas have failed just because of completely incompetent project leaders.

Honestly i'm also sensitive to people who act sketchy, don't keep their promises and proclaim bullshit. Karl has really pissed me off with all his shit and i will let myself out about it because it's unfair to keep this information from other people. If i could have read what i know now before i went into StartCoin i would've never bought (or surely dumped at 3k after the release).

This is not to say that i will not buy back, but it is to say that i am completely confident that the incompetent project team will not produce anything significant the coming month or even months, and the price will probably reach 500sats. This is not because of FUD, but because Karl Gray and Max Keiser completely left their supporters behind and don't seem to care at all to start acting like a good leader.

It'll take more than StartCoin integration to make the price go up again, because it will take more than that for people to have confidence in the future of the project again, and i will buy when it starts to stabilize.

To read all about Karl Gray, Max Keiser (the founders of the project) and their shit, read  http://maxcoin.co.uk/ - Keiser Coins, A Postmortem and Warning.
