Ok, go design your own inflation based crypto-currency.

[...]You would expect better behavior from a forum VIP, it makes us all look bad.
all you need to be a vip is 50 BTC. pretty much means you can "buy" trust.

I disagree with this, it's the lenders choice who he picks to lend to.
Correct, and as a lender, I'd like to see these rules implemented. Other lenders are free to disagree, but since lendees would be able to contact the stickied lenders as usual, I don't see much potential downside. Very rarely do newer members ever pay back to the sorry people who loaned out to them, so there's not much opportunity loss. A lender could easily choose to advertise they're open to lending to new members and enjoy they flood of PMs. Well, I've been thinking of such a proposal to theymos lately as I'm effing sick of those blatant scam attempts by the kids desperate for a couple of coins. Maybe a less stringent set of rules could be applied though (e.g. fulfil one of the restrictions : 100 post count OR 20 hours logged in OR 5 months registered) whatever you do, don't do post count. the last thing i like to see is a bunch of people spamming threads with one liners like "cool" or "nice". I personally see a need for two lending forums - a proper one that is reasonable clean for actual business, and a second one for discussion and other crap that turns up. I can see a simple situation (two board system) where people post by default into the main board, but threads are moved to the sub board when they are so far off topic they are irrelevant, are simply discussions, obviously not real business, or unfounded (and ponzi talk is included in that irrelevant of which side you think you're on).
The main board would also hold history of previous completed deals and failed details (like John's current list).
Nothing in this stops people from sending pm's directly of lenders making offers. Also, with the large amount of shit that has been thrown the last few weeks, the forum is at serious risk of business leaving (including my own - I do actually have a web site to shift to).
While I do like having a "clean" lenders forum, I fear that there might be discontent among users on which lenders are "clean" and which ones are not. Treating new users as second class users and grouping them with potential scammers is not a nice way to treat users new to bitcoin.

Well you are providing visitors to this thread an alternative, therefor trying to disrupt my sales.
and why shouldn't this be allowed? I thought this was free market was all about choices. Your logic makes me laugh.

I never claimed they were competitive, if you would be so kind as to not trash my thread with other exchangers either please, I don't trash any of your threads so don't do it to mine please. I don't see how I'm "trashing" your thread if everything I say is true and substantiated. Also, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=76663.0.

Try this;-
1. Shut everything down.
2. Disable your firewall.
3. Disable your Virus protection.
4. Go to User Account Control Settings and set it all the way to the bottom
5. Reboot (making sure that none of the above start automatically)
6. Start Bitcoind as administrator (right click on the Icon and "Run as administrator")
7. Start your process that invokes the PHP script (right click on the Icon and "Run as administrator")
8. See if it is fixed!!!
At that point, if it is not fixed restart all of the above and reboot. If it is fixed work backwards up the list until it is broken again, then yell "Aha, that's the problem". ;P
now that's what i call shotgun debugging!

Interesting that Micon is all over all these other threads but the obvious ones like this he's strangely missing....
Micoin doesn't know what he's talking about. Yes, some of those programs may be panzis, but they are not all. I know this for fact because Dank Bank is not a ponzi. But are you implying this is some sort of scam? Vampire, how fast? yjackst, thanks for the offer, and I love BMWs, but 325 won't cut it, my current car's a V8. why exactly do you need a fast car? it's not like you're competing in a race or anything.

It's a core feature of SMF that theymos cannot change easily. There is a couple of old posts about this, but its bedtime. so it's not even possible to change it from 10 to 15?

It is an embedded system and does not need an operating system. doesn't matter, still operating system. (think windows embedded edition)

not to be a dick, but what's preventing you from knowingly selling fakes at an inflated price? As a previous member said, even $160 is overpriced for the pair, even though it's half of what you paid for.

why do you want to rent mining power?

Indeed.... are these retail or VLK copies? Also how did you get these links? Nice! Thanks for the info. I typically use my technet so have not had a reason to look at other sources but I'm sure this would be incredibly helpful for anyone who is interested in picking up a copy.
most likely warez sites.

I'm willing to do a text+picture guide. No html/css though; you'll need to get someone else to make a layout.

Could you use a DVD burner to "draw" a QR code by burning it with the right pattern? What about write text?
I would guess a semi-destructive process affecting only the center layer but leaving the polycarbonate coating would be pretty durable.
Is it possible to "burn through" with a DVD burner?

the 32 bit part is a real buzzkill. you won't find many buyers who will sacrifice their > 4GB ram just to save some money.
I believe the serial will work with a 64-bit copy. Just download the trial from ms and use it to activate. [citation needed] also, there's no such thing as a windows 7 "trial" from Microsoft.

Bit-pay sends me payments via EFT, and it is very similar to ACH. Can any American bank or bitcoin exchange that offers ACH send me money in canada to my USD account?
afaik, CIBC accepts ACHs if you have an USD account with them.

When you release an address into public, I don't think anything stops people from sharing that address to people not registered in the forum and performing any search on it. From that to Google indexing the addresses, I don't think that's a big step. If you really need anonymity, just do as it's said: one address per transaction, and if you really need your coins not to be tainted, use a mixing service.
that's the number 1 way to get tainted coins
