3241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos? on: February 06, 2023, 07:30:40 PM
Strictly for Bitcoin, is there a list of the best online gambling casinos and their corresponding pros/cons of using?

Almost with every online casino's you can bet using bitcoin and it is not possible to tell pro's and con's of every casino's.
You can have your onw research and look out for which casino suits you and also see their reviews before deciding to play there.

However keep in mind that no matter at which casino you play, there is always a risk that you will lose money and overall gambling is a risky game. I hope you know this before playing at any casino.

They want you to wager a lot, because that's good for the casino.

But no one understand this secret.
People especially the newcomers think that the more they wager, they may be lucky to win more, but actually it is the opposite.
3242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US casinos set new record of revenue on 2022 on: February 06, 2023, 07:01:18 PM
Gambling is getting more popular, just at the US casinos produced almost 55 billion dollars in revenue during 2022, an amount which surpassed the previous record that was established last year, and since any trend going on the US is most likely taking place all over the world it seems safe to assume the same is happening at many other countries.

Have you noticed this as well where you live? Are cryptocurrency casinos experimenting the same kind of boom as fiat casinos?

Ok, you can say that gambling business is growing and with online gambling , it has even more potential to grow further, however i have one question as a food of thought.

When we say that Casino earned like 55 billion dollars in 2022, this means that the gamblers have lose this amount in gambling which eventually become the property of the gambling casino and they show that as a profit in their balance sheet. Right ?
3243  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 06, 2023, 06:41:06 PM
Yeah they got amazing promotions all the time. I barely doubt any other casino has able to pull such high stakes on this forum. There are some others though which are running their campaigns way before than Roobet does and till date they are doing it. It’s no wonder why they are running today also, they know very will this forum has huge network size which adds up more and more everyday. This mean campaigns not only giving more exposure to the casinos but they are also getting huge assets on the way.

I mean even if they get couple of new gamblers every week who wager’s more than few thousands over a week then they are almost running it at no cost. Obviously they have studied the market properly and just love that thing about them. Hope so they will maintain their presence like this and be symbol of honest casino around.

Roobet is no doubt running their signature campaign for a long time and same it goes for stake.com (the one casino whom i am wearing signature), and many other gambling casino who are very serious in promoting their casino extensively on this forum.
For sure they are promoting here because they are getting the desired results.
3244  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀Jackbit.com | 🎰 Top Crypto Casino ⚽️ Sportsbook 🎲 Exclusive Mini-Games on: February 06, 2023, 05:19:00 PM
You are right mate. Signature campaign plays a major role in advertisement and publicity making or creating awareness about the casino project and it's potentials but does not guarantee or compel members to get registered but it depends on what the casino offers that would attract the desired traffic they sorth after. If the casino features are favourable to the registered members then they would stay but if not, they would go after they had derive their initial benefits from the casinos. Building your reputation is another thing that keeps making your casino grow. It takes time to achieve as it is not a day task to building a long time project which in this context is a  casino. Your timely response to matters arising here and your constant activeness also determine how committed you are to your work otherwise,  you are on your own.

I would say that marketing plus the gambling site functionality both plays a major role in a success of a casino. For example, if a casino starts a signature campaign but do not care for their customers and are not honest with their players, then the site will not succeed no matter how good is their campaign.

Coming to the jackbit, they have recently started their campaign Jackbit.com - Top Crypto Casino & Sportsbook | Signature Campaign Hero+, and i hope it will help them achieve their targets and gain many gamblers on their site.
3245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 06, 2023, 04:31:18 PM
Any thoughts?
This is a good thread, but from what I see, these online casinos just put this information there for the sake of formality.

They know that there are regulatory bodies that visit their website, and these are some of the things they would look out for. Also, they know that people would likely put out reviews for their site and would appraise them either positively or negatively if these write-ups or information were missing. And lastly, it seems like the moralistic thing to do.

This is absolutely right that casino do not care about the gamblers and the most important thing for the casino is to gain their own money. They treat it as a business and the priority for them is to make money 💰💸💸
3246  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🟡 SLM.Games | Deposits&Withdrawals On-Chain ⛓ | Daily Promocodes 💰 on: February 05, 2023, 04:55:37 PM
Wow!!! I don't know that SLM.GAMES is here. As I saw the ANN thread, I tried to check the casino site to know more about the site, and well the site is okay, but I didn't see football sport except racing sports. And the only game I saw that is more in the site is dice. I will advise the op to make the casino more popular in the forum.

When you say "Make casino popular in the forum", you are asking them to start a signature campaign as that is the only and best way to promote the casino on bitcointalk.

Although Signature campaigns are not a necessity but when you see a lot of other gambling sites are popular here because of their extensive promotion, this leave no choices for the new casino to follow them and start an aggressive campaign to compete them.

Eastern European background and a Curacao license,  I would be very cautious with them guys....

Can you give exact details on why people need to be cautious on this casino? Most of the casino holds a license from Curacao since it’s the most acknowledged license for e-gambling that working for many countries. I don’t understand exactly your warning because not all user is familiar on the meaning of the place that you mention.

Also this casino recently nominated on prestigious award on nordic region. Giving full details to support your warning is a must to make your point valid.

I really do not care about the license of gambling casino as having a license and not having a license  makes no difference. There are casinos which have Curacao License and still they scam people.

Whenever we play on a casino do we ever see if it is licensed or not ?

I never look at the license information rather I always go and find the how is the feedback of the site where already people playing at the gambling's site and if they have a good feedback I feel no hesitation in trying out that casino where the feedback and review is good.

Whether you drink water or have a coffee is secondary, first thing is to take a break. When you're on the losing streak it is really hard to make a have control, because the mind will loss its temper and goes for higher bet. By the time we'll have a mind, we need to win what is being lost or loss everything. So gambling happens in an out-of-control manner.
It is a bad idea to try to recover a loss during the game section and that is the fastest way to lose more money since hitting the wrong g strings always prompt for more bets which will still lead to potential loss and this is not a good way to play.
I accept with your idea of always taking a break from playing, anytime we see ourselves hitting the strings in the wrong direction, and in other to escape the emotional attempt and demand to recover the loss we need to set a stop to bet timer this can self-activated
If you're feeling the urge to chase your losses while gambling, hold up a minute. That's a surefire way to end up losing even more money, trust me. Trying to win back what you've lost can be tempting, but it's a slippery slope, my friend.

So, instead of going down that road, let's take a time-out. Yup, you heard me right. Give yourself a break from the gaming tables, take a step back, and chill. Let your mind clear and your emotions settle. Have a sip of water, go for a walk, or do whatever it takes to calm down.

Gambling should be a fun experience, not something that causes you stress or anxiety. So, let's not get too caught up in trying to win big or make up for losses. Just enjoy the ride and remember, the house always wins in the long run. Don't let your emotions control you, take a break and come back fresh.

Everyone want to win in gambling and no one wants to lose in gambling. That's the reason when someone lose in gambling, their first priority is to recover their loses.

There is nothing wrong in the mind set of recovering the loss but why do we need to recovered the loss immediately ? The best approach is to stop the gamble when you have face the loss and you can come back the next day and try to recover the loss. At that point you will be fresh ,free of emotions and can start over again with the hope to win and makeup for your last day losses.
3249  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New Way of Scam: Illegal use of KYC accounts on: February 05, 2023, 10:09:16 AM
Every time a deposit, withdrawal, or exchange for fiat happens, it's you who did it in the eyes of the law. Taxable events, money laundering, using illegal services (betting in Pakistan) are just some of the things you are guilty of. You take all the risk, while your "partner" goes home with 97% of the money. These types of offers should be avoided unless you don't care about your future at all.

Also when we see the conversation, the service provider is saying that he is not scamming but offering this work and if the OP is not interested he may leave and don't waste the time. Sadly there are many people in the world who want to earn money and they may take this risk of their accounts.

Just 1%? I had some people contacting in the past to convert their cash into BTC for cash and you know they are ready to offer upto 20% commission the amount we are talking about is huge so if I accepted their offer I could make few hundred thousand by simply trading for them but it's not too hard to smell what they are doing is money laundering so I refused with no further convo cause sooner you will face a law suit and probably end up in prison too so anyone never lured by attractive offers.

We are talking about betting here and usually the betting black market consist of rich people who have a lot of money to spend and bet. Even 1% may turn out to be a good income in this case. Anyways, its a risky business and everyone is responsible for whatever they do.

It that is true (as it seems to be) it would make sense nobody has been able to get this casino closed, since Rusia does not usually work along western authorities about cyber crimes and security. That is why many hackers from Rusia can freely opperate from there. Of course, all these are just alledgations, based on stuff I have found around internet.
Am pretty sure all of this is 100% true. Both 1xbit and 1xbet are probably being operated by some rich dudes in Russia who have great connections(Oligarchs etc) which would explain why their business hasn't sunk yet.

If punters themselves would actively avoid both of these sites completely, they would get screwed royally.

I do not care if these scam sites are run by the Russians or whomever is running this scam business, the point is why we allow them to advertise on this forum.

I know they will continue to operate and advertise everywhere but we as a community should do something now so that their advertisement are banned on this forum.

Previously Yobit was ban to operate their signature campaign, i wonder why same restrictions can be applied to them. Although the difference was that yobit was hiring unlimited numbers of participants to spread their scam while 1xbit hire only a dozen of users.
3251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 04, 2023, 11:59:21 PM
I don't believe online casinos enjoy seeing a gambler lose money. I'd like to believe that they only want responsible gamblers to patronize them. They believe they have a moral obligation to present some suggestions for responsible gambling to the general population. It is also logical to believe that if they could assess visitors for gambling addiction, those who failed the test would be banned from signing up. Because they can't, they've created a section of their website with guidelines for responsible gambling. So, even if the house always wins, which is good for their business, it is your responsibility to bet responsibly.

Why would gambling casino's would want that the gamblers become responsible ?

Also gambling sites may never care if gambler is losing his hard earned money, the money he can't afford to lose. They want gamblers to put each and everything in gambling and the motive of gambling sites is to get maximum deposits and wagering by the players.

The following are some of the responsible gambling guidelines I found on Livecasino.io, Duelbits, TrustDice, and others. They all have the same idea.

Quote
- Treat your betting and gaming as a form of entertainment and only use money that you have set aside for your entertainment.
- Do not bet or wager amounts larger than you are comfortable with.
- Do not bet or wager with money you cannot afford to lose.
- Do not chase your losses.
- Do not let your betting and/or gaming take up time that you would usually spend on other activities.

 Any thoughts?

Well, this is true that trust dice and few other have mentioned this on their site but i think this is done just for formality. They will never stop gamblers from doing this. If they were serious, would site implement such features that in case of excessive losses, the site disables the gamblers ability to gamble so that they can't chase loses. Or they may limit wagering / betting on daily basis, but they never implement these feature. They only want people to wager extensively and lose money in gambling.

We are trying to figure out reasons of why cricket can't be included in Olympics and we have no definite excuse for this.

I think that cricket just doesn't suits Olympics and hence it is not included. Some can argue that ODI matches take a full day and therefore it is not included in cricket but then what about T20 which takes about 4 hrs to complete the match. Maybe they compare it with hockey or football which takes only 1.5 hrs to complete the game.

T20 Format was introduced in 2005 before that only ODI and Test format were available which are unfit for Olympics. Even after 15 years of introduction of T20 format, ICC wasnt able to include cricket in Olympics because of reason still not clear. I dont think ICC is still serious in inclusion of cricket in Olympcs

Just for my clarity , How do Olympics committee add any sports in the Olympics ? Do the sporting body contact the Olympics committee to include the sports in Olympics (in this case ICC contacts the Olympics) or the Olympics committee themselves contact the sporting body (Olympics team contact the ICC) and ask them if they may include cricket in Olympics.

If we know this, we would be understanding, we would know the fault is at which side. Whether ICC have not contacted or Olympics have declined their request ?
3253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 04, 2023, 11:42:23 PM
Messi's current interview suggests he may not play in the next World Cup. In fact, this year's World Cup was organized historically. And witnessing this historic event, Messi's Argentina made history and secured the World Cup. Lionel Messi is now complete in all aspects.
Lionel Messi is very satisfied with his achievements so far in football, he has won almost all competitions either in the league or in international competition with Argentina. So even if he retires later everyone will always remember the historical moment about him. But the 2022 world cup is the pinnacle of his career and with that I think he is done.

Right now we are in 2023 and the 2026 world cup starts in 4 years, which is far away, and Lionel Messi is 35 years old. He indeed got reach many achievements with many teams while playing for Argentina and the clubs he was paying there but playing at age of 39-38 in the world cup is not something many players can reach even the most professional players can't perform like the early years and mostly these players prefer to retire before everyone sees them playing for poor performance level compared to other times and I guess Lionel Messi is one these players.

Regardless of Argentina win or lose in this world cup,  Lionel Messi would not have been playing in the 2026 world cup. He will be too aged by that time.

Lets suppose, Lionel Messi had lost the 2022 world cup final or the Argentine team was not able to reach the finals, would he had not announced his retirement and will be playing in 2026 world cup ?

Although technically he can play, but that wont help the Argentina cause. They would be needing young legs to run around and score for their team. Experience does matter in football but at same time if you are too aged, you won't be able to leave impression on the game.
3254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 04, 2023, 06:35:26 PM
Most of the team sports in Olympics have either 12 or 16 participants. For football, it is 16 (with almost 200 countries participating in the qualifier tournament), while for other sports such as basketball, field hockey and volleyball it is 12. IMO, 12 should be a good number for cricket, for both the men's and women's tournaments. And the IOC has ruled out T10 format, because they want a format which is played regularly. But then, a normal T20 game takes at least 3 to 3.5 hours to get completed.
The main issue with the bid from ICC is that they don't have any qualifying tournament. They want teams to be selected on the basis of ICC ranking, which is biased towards the full members. IOC wants a fair pathway for all the competing nations and they will definitely shoot down this obscene proposal from the ICC. And perhaps this is exactly what the ICC want.
Its still not finalized by IOC that whether or not cricket is included in 2028 LA Olympics (final decision expected in Oct this year). You are talking about 12 teams but ICC has proposed six-team T20 events for both men and women for 2028 LA Olympics. Its a great move by ICC to take cricket to biggest sporting event after giving a delay of many decades.
Cricket biggest problem is very limited number of test teams and new countries are not joining in. Reason is not clear that why new teams are not coming in this sports.
ICC proposing 6 teams is a way to keep the Olympic matches not that interesting. More the teams more will be the interest in watching it. ICC might've felt of losing importance of different tournaments and leagues. Cricket is played on different countries, but they doesn't make themselves into the next levels. In recent years it is Netherlands, Ireland that have made good progress. Not much teams into test format cricket, because huge funding is required.

I think the biggest problem is that if ICC does decide to send 10 teams it is going to become something like a world cup. And if 10 teams are actually playing in the Olympics, what is the difference between the world cups and the Olympics?

I know that this is probably not the biggest reason, but I can think of any other reasons besides this. But that problem could have been fixed by having a qualifying round. But they did not have that as well. I really do not understand what's the point of this if they just do not want to have any competition.

Even now the schedule is full and every player is complaining that they are not getting enough rest and in that instance how can the ICC allocate a qualifying tournament for the ICC. The solution should be, there should be a qualification round like the Test Championships and the team should be ranked and picked for the Olympics according to that ranking rather than conducting a separate tournament.

The sole reason FIFA has implemented rules to participate in the Olympics is because they do not want the Olympics to be bigger than the World Cup and ICC should follow that guideline.

To be very honest, i would not blame ICC if the players are not getting enough rest. Basically there are so many leagues these days and they give good money to the players so every cricketer wants to be part of each and every one of them.

Since they also have to play for their own country, this will make their schedule more busy. I would blame cricketers for being remain busy in playing for most part of the year and not getting the appropriate rest. Greediness of earning money is something to be blamed for and not the ICC alone is responsible for it.
3256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: February 03, 2023, 11:54:53 PM
Just like TV station shows, where we have certain shows or movie series that are designated or referred to by some set of people are feminine shows or series. For example, in my own part of the world where I come from, TV station like Telemundo, Telnovelas etc. They're mostly regarded as TV stations meant for the feminine.
Now bringing this home as it concerns gambling, I ask, you as a gambler are there gambling games or sports that you think that such gambling games or sports are supposed to be mostly engaged in by a particular gender (as it suits such gender more),  and why?
Mind you am not saying that gambling is gender-centric in anyway.

The answer is simple. The games which are watched more by women, for sure more women will bet on them as compare to men.

For instance, we have women and men cricket matches but i can say that more betting take place by men in Men's cricket matches and they hardly place bet on women cricket matches.

Similarly, women will usually be interested in watching the women's cricket and place bet on them too.
3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if 1 satoshi worth more than 1 dollar? on: February 03, 2023, 06:45:01 PM
Why solve a problem that hasn't arisen yet?

1BTC = ~23100$.
It turns out, $1 = 0.000231BTC at the moment.

For $1 to be equal to 1 satoshi, 1BTC needs to be worth 100mln. $.

I think it's too early to ask such questions, to put it mildly. BTC still has a very long way to go before reaching such levels.

Currently it is beyond our imagination to believe that one satoshi will be worth a dollar.

If we are thinking about this, i would say that we are mostly over thinking and its not worth the time spend on almost impossible things at least for now.
3258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 02, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
This is the first I've heard of ChatGPT being used to predict sports. That's funny. I know that animals have been used to predict sports events. Paul the octopus, for example. Paul has predicted football matches 14 times and he's only been wrong twice. So if you want to win at sports betting, get a pet. It will probably make you a lot more money than the AI.

Well, no one can predict the result of future matches perfectly. Over the time gamblers uses the past data to analysis and predict the current matches. Now we can say that analysis of the previous data is made easy by chatGPT and we do not have spend hours on the research. However, as told earlier, the previous data will never grantee the future matches results, it will just increase the probability.

So, i would say that we can use the tool like chatGPT for making decisions in betting but still keep money management in place and not become over confident by the fact we are using an AI tool to help us.

I dont believe that email marketing now is that relevant. For some parts in the world on which they are still that actively making use of this method when it comes on selling something or promoting.

How do you think that email marketing is no longer effective ? I think people still read emails and it is a good way of marketing if you the perfect way. Yes, Spamming you site on random emails may not be good thing but if they can get some sort of gamblers emails from any gambling sites etc can be useful.

Agree on what mentioned about potential places on where most gamblers do lurk on which it would be on a specific forum or would really be news and review sites which are related into it.

We have so many facebook and social media gambling groups / places where we can spread our gambling links to gain the customers. Here also we need to do targeted marketing and not just random spread the link by spamming everywhere.

If that 5 usd are problem, then give me back my 560 usd back to me, why to take my money, my deposits? Doesnt have reason for it
Don't you get it?
The casino is run by scammers, so obviously they didn't expect you to even win anything. They wanted all the $560 to themselves. Their goal is so that they always win, and you never profit from their casino. Once you win, they will block your account, log you out and then say that violated their TOS which they never even specify by the way.

I am still not sure why you folks keep using 1xbit despite knowing that it's a scam casino

Look like no one want to believe that 1xbit is a scam casino unless and until they experience it with their hard earned money. How may times we have seen people ignoring the feedback and advices and they believe them when they themselves become victim of the scam.

I am afraid that he will not get his money back and also i feel sorry when i read such comments. 1xbit advertising should be stopped on this forum at least so people don't fall for this scam.
