But not in this game, they go and focus on this game because they know that their top seed is on the line here. And then they have a good player who come up big in Dosunmu who has the most minutes by any Bulls and score 18 big points.

Los Angeles Lakers played a home match against Utah Jazz this morning and it was really competitive at the same time. Lakers owe their 101-95 victory to Lebron James as always. He got 25 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and he was close to a triple-double. Even though Jazz were in a much better condition than them, they still got an important win. Lakers are still not that great of course as they are fully depending on Lebron. They need to get better than this otherwise their work would be difficult in the playoffs.
Jazz played a back-to-back game, Lakers are fresh and they are playing at home, so it was the Lakers who are more conditioned and they beat a good team, so it's good for them as they silence those who doubted them for awhile. If they have that kind of consistency, then probably we will see them beating good teams like Jazz. |

Actually, we have a lot of talented basketball players but only few of them are given the opportunity due to the limited number of big leagues, with the increasing popularity of MPBL, that gives them a good chance. The basketball league is a business, MPBL players will only get more players if they are making good money from sponsors and from the live audience. So they need to be more popular and get good coverage in our favorite channels. Maybe a live stream on youtube and Facebook too, that would help increase their popularity. They will also hit the mainstream soon and become the second big professional league, this is indeed a side business for those companies and they earn a lot for sure on the previous conferences, MPBL need a good exposure and hopefully to give more talented Pinoy a chance to play. Basketball is growing in our country even if there’s a pandemic, it is still living on a good position. More exposure gives them more chances to play overseas, now that Japan is getting Filipino imports, I think it will not only limit to that country as Asia is big and surely the talents of the Pinoy players will be noticed. If the PBA wants to grow, they can increase the number of teams so more players with potential will have a chance to play. Some players in the B-League did not play in the PBA before they get to that league, some names are Thirdy Ravena, Kobe Paras and Dwight Ramos. So B-Leauge does not only focus their selection from the PBA, but in the entire basketball league in the Philippines.
Speaking of Dwight Ramos, seems he has built a name on his own in Japan and the way i looked at it, he is now a superstar plus the fact that his looks is not far from a Japanese actor, seems to me that we have to wait for a long time before we can see him play in the PBA. This no-nonsense kid is earning a lot so i think an offer of contract extension is likely to happen. I just don't know why the PBA is having a hard time expanding. There are many companies years ago who have offered to enter the PBA but that didn't materialized maybe because of conflict of business interest. When Phoenix tried to enter PBA for the first time, it was blocked by Petron. Chooks-to-go has sent an intent to join PBA but one team suddenly changed its name to Magnolia Hotshot "Ang Pambansang Manok" lol. PBA is not for everyone, so eventually, this league will be surpassed by a better league and I guess MPBL is a close competition. I like their set up, more like an NBA set up and players are really given an opportunity. PBA will not change for sure as long as the Pangilinan and Cojuangco are the major owners of the team, they run the business and can influence the PBA management. That's correct, PBA are only for the teams who have the money while MPBL gives access to every localities that want to participate, their set-up are way better just like in NBA and I also hope that they grow more in the future since PBA are slowly losing their integritiy, politics are too much in PBA that's why many players decided not to play on PBA and go abroad instead. And this is a great style matchup, both can be aggressive and can also play defensive and then be a counter puncher so this is really a great fight in paper although Spence will be the favorite but it will be more closer that we anticipated it to be.
Spence is not as active as Ugas, that's another thing to consider also although Spence is very good on paper we upset happen like what happened with the games between Ugas and Pacman. If the odds of Ugas will be so undervalued, then I might change my mind and will put my bet on Ugas, I'm sure he will not go down easily if he losses in the fight. Reggie Jackson is very reliable, even in the playoffs last season, we saw his consistency and now with the absence of PG and Leonard, they are still competing as a team despite the fact that their ranking is going down but I still see the spirit of competitiveness and toughness in a game as they beat some good teams also.
I wouldn't say he's really reliable despite their comeback win. Eleven out of thirteen points in the fourth quarter is nice but I'm pretty sure the coach would prefer if he was more productive in both first and second half. They won but they were still lucky that almost everything is dropping for them late in the game. Kudos to their competitive spirit which allowed them to crawl back. Exactly, if we talk about consistency, it should be from the start to finish. The Clippers are struggling now, that's just one of the games where they were lucky, however, we cannot expect too much from this team since for me they are already out in the playoff picture without their 2 best players. |

No, I have no idea about that. I guess if players are getting a lot of money, for sure the coaches are getting bigger, however, I don't think coach Victolero would bite the offer as he is already in a good team and good management where he can secure his retirement as long as his team will continue to be competitive.
That's new to my ears, not sure but Japan B-League is really trying to bring our talents to their country not just the players but also coaches, it's not impossible since they have all the resources and by looking with how Coach Victolero is doing right now interest is very possible to happen, he can share his views with players and he can add his talent to help any team from B-League. But same with how you look at it, he's now with SMB corp. Long-term relationship wise, he can retire with a much more secure future. Also, there's no assurance that he will stay longer as he is playing like an import coach where the contract could be short-term if the team does are not satisfied with his coaching performance. The bigger league has bigger competition, so it's a risk for him if he will take the offer. |
