No games today, all of these are cancelled, good luck tomorrow.

And it seems like there will be games already by Saturday as per schedule since I can already see the odds available in my sportsbook.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/matches/today (only one game is listed yet).

Yeah, checked that too.

Maybe they will add the 2 more games later.
Let's be patient. (Although I am the one itching to put my bets)  Grin

There is a slight change with handicap for Orlando vs Bucks. That was -12.5 last time right? IIRC.

Edit: Just want to inform the Dallas fans out there. Betting for them will be a lot of risk. We need Luka to explode.

Quote
According to the Dallas Mavericks, Kristaps Porzingis suffered the lateral meniscus tear in his right knee during Game 1 of the Clippers series.
Porzingis was limited to just 20 minutes in Game 1 due to the injury, but he returned and played 36 minutes in Game 2 and another 38 in Game 3. The final game would turn out to be the Unicorn's best, as he tallied 34 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and five 3-pointers on 11-of-18 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line. How much of a risk Porzingis is fantasy-wise next season will depend not only on his rehab, but also what the league schedule looks like. It's been reported that the anticipated start date of December 1 may be moved back.

Good idea.

I haven't seen one too.
I think I mostly test it myself with 100-1000 bets to see if the results will be the right percentage as what should be expected.

Thinking about a live video of the outcome from owners of the gambling sites.
But no, it might be edited.
So, what or who can prove this. It should be something or someone trusted.

3243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 28, 2020, 02:48:28 PM

What team will play tomorrow? I'm excited to see the game of Lakers vs Blazers but there is still no final date when the game will return. I'm gonna beat in lakers and the standing will 4-1 for sure. But I'm a bit concerned on Liliards health because he need to leave the bubble to have better examination on his right knee sprain. They did great in the series but their power is not enough. I also respect the decision of Lebron and some NBA players towards what happen on shooting incidents. They have the right to not play in a game because it is a sign of protest and respect.

It will be the same games that were postponed.
Yeah, Lakers vs Blazers will be on that list.
Including Orlando vs Bucks and Rockets vs Thunder.

Bettors will be happy again though that the games will resume Cheesy
Yeah, suddenly I might change my mind with my parlay.
Lots of emotions going on. I might also consider that to affect their games.

Of course, when something bad happens outside they will all feel like its not working.
That, I disagree. It's working but not that fast. Some of those racists before may have changed the way they look at things now.
Honestly I don't think that racists change their view so quickly..

Problems there are too deep to be solved by players cancelling the professional leagues, issues simply won't be solved in a few months with players tweeting and talking about it in the social media. They didn't start overnight, and it won't be solved overnight. As i said, they might as well stop all sports for a few years until situation gets better, but I am glad to hear that rean prevail and season will continue, and if Clippers&Lakers don't want to finish, let them be.

I was a bit worried when Lebron and the Clippers does not support to continue the season, good thing I don't listen a lot to the hype of the media and now we hear some good news. So this is really it? can we see games tomorrow?

Gotta look for a better news outlet.  Grin
A lot of fake news and hypes out there.
They will create anything for scoop, views or just attention. Social media is such a strong platform right now.

I still don't see any open bets for NBA. So I guess we just need to wait.
I saw google post schedules but there is still no accurate time. All are at 12:00 tomorrow.

Anyway, the race to dethrone btc is still far away. So OP stop overthinking, I guarantee you that it will be valuable for the next century at least Smiley.
First thing that pops in my mind.
Discussing the future while there is a chance we won't even see it.

Right now, its better to just make people understand it.
That way, your kids and my grand kids might benefit from it. I don't say its pointless but thinking about something which you don't have control yet is difficult.

This is why I understood why they didn't play.

We all know one of the reason they(huge chunk of players) agreed to play in the bubble is NBA as a good platform to express their support in this fight against racism and inequality.
Of course, when something bad happens outside they will all feel like its not working.
That, I disagree. It's working but not that fast. Some of those racists before may have changed the way they look at things now.

People are reading their social messages, speeches and watching sportsmanship white or black.
They are listening, we are listening.

3248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 27, 2020, 06:17:10 PM
I do not get people who say this will not fix anything and they should continue, well playing the games will not solve it neither, at least this way they are putting forward a message and that is a lot more important than your precious moments when you watch a game and relax. You are at home sipping a beer and having fun while black people out there getting killed. You think NBA stars are out of this discussion?

There has been NBA players who got tazed, hell Thabo got his LEG BROKEN, black people in america suffered long enough, white people do the same thing and get away with it but when a black person does it and gets shot it is always "he should have followed cops instructions" well I am sorry but whites carried their guns into a government building and chanted slurs at a governor and nobody even stopped them because "MUH RIGHTS" whereas a dude was asked to surrender but instead went into his own vehicle and was shot 7!SEVEN! times for some reason, not even once, right in front of his three kids because ... he didn't comply?

If every person who didn't comply with cops were to get shot, there would be a whoooole lot of people dead. So, stop caring about your entertainment and understand why players want to go on a strike.

Why you mad?!
It doesn't mean we don't care.
We support the strike they did now and we understand the reasons behind it.
I support all the social messages they wear in game and even outside.

Don't justify people just because they want entertainment. What do you want us to do? Cry in a dark corner feeling sorry for everything that is happening every day?
That won't solve anything too.
Entertainment is difficult to get now because of Covid and the sad treatment of black people. There should always be some light in the darkness to balance everything. We cannot just stay in the dark as always.

Think about kids watching the game too. How much happiness and hope it will give them looking at NBA icons doing their thing.

The Morris twins have a solid record of being dirty players, always looking to get into fights and provoke people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C1ZbubJmdE

I hope Mavs push the series to game 7!
Damn true!
Better, I hope they win the series.

Lots of talk about canceling the season now. LeBron storming out of a meeting while the Lakers & Clippers both agree to cancel the season is bad news. I understand not wanting to continue providing an unappreciative community with your craft, but as a fan I’m extremely disappointed. They feel ownership isn’t doing enough to address problems in the community though and perhaps think that withholding their contribution to society is their only recourse.
Agree. They should still do what they can to entertain people.
This issue of racism is already a bad event. The very least they could do is offer their skills to make people happy while there are bad things happening out there.
Pandemic and divided country.
Where else could they get a positive approach if they will stop this? Somehow NBA is still giving hope. Players in the NBA are black and white and they can show peace even with what color they have.

NBA already proved they can take care of them. To continue the game will be a great gift to everyone.
3250  Economy / Economics / Re: We need to create a independent mobile device on: August 27, 2020, 02:34:34 PM
We are far from this but if someone can invent a phone like this, then I will switch on that right away.

The phone makers are so busy focusing on their CAMERAS and other useless things aside from the hype, and they don't even care if they are just depending into some 3rd party apps because the users will suffer on that anyway but its good to know that Huawei successfully made their own App store and continues to develop and improve their phones. Independent mobile devices can help us to be more secured and become more anonymous, but then again the giant companies will not let this thing to happen as easy as we think.

Yeah, I second on that.
I will buy it immediately rather than just buying Iphones which upgrades in numbers.  Grin

I love tweaking my phone before. Changing Rom and also made themes and Live Wallpapers myself until I got my phone into soft brick.
Well if this new phone can withstand all that tweaking that will happen then it will be great for us.
But how about the larger percentage of people who cannot understand that or doesn't have enough time to do so?

It will cost the manufacturer a lot if there is not enough buyers.
Still, the user-friendly mobile device will be on top. We can use Linux vs Windows as an example but in the market of mobile devices competition is higher.
3251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cost of transferring money on the Ethereum network is too high on: August 27, 2020, 10:42:00 AM
Had you considered the recent pump of the Ethereum value?
Before we don't feel it and that is because it is just $230 per piece.

$1-2 per transaction is better than using money transfer services which takes like 5-10 percent of the money you will transfer.
Recently I also made a transaction at an average speed. I think it was $4-5 when converted.
But here is the thing if you don't convert it to USD, is it still the same amount of ETH which you will be spending? I do.
If you did, that means nothing changed.

I'm just wondering, are other sports doing the same, or just the NBA?

Three MLB games postponed after Brewers, Mariners lead walkout to protest Jacob Blake shooting

For me, its the support and the difficulty to play knowing there is something wrong happening outside the bubble.
They cannot get out and support them in their protests for the movement but they still find ways to show the support.

I am with them on this.
This is already taking too long to be resolved. Something must be done. Right now!
3253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 27, 2020, 04:53:56 AM
I just read the news. It was because of what happened with Jacob Blake.
Shot a lot of times and he is not even armed. Damn, what is happening to this world? People just take life like its nothing.

Done watching the Bucks message.
Sorry, I lost the link.
All NBA bets are voided and I confirm that the money is returned.

did they mention any reason why games was postpone?
If you remember they are wearing social messages at the back of their jerseys.
In the middle of that is "Black Lives Matter". Another black guy was shot down yesterday.
So this is the NBA response to the justice system.

No bets guys?
I am waiting for updates but I am still the last post above.

C'mon, share it.  Grin

My prediction.

Bucks -14.5
Lakers -12.5
Thunder (no handicap)

Over and under.

Rockets vs OKC - over 224.5
Lakers vs Blazers - over 223.5

Locking it!
Let's win!

Lillard out for knee sprain. Bad news for the Blazers.
https://www.nba.com/article/2020/08/25/portlan-trail-blazers-damian-lillard-out-game-5

Anthony Davis is fine. He will be playing in Game 5

Quote
Anthony Davis (back) told Frank Vogel that he should be "good to go" for Game 5 on Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.
AD left Monday's blowout with some back spasms, but he's being listed as probable for Wednesday's game, so we're not worried about him. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tomorrow's tip.
They might finish this series and advance to the second round.
Back spasms won't stop him.

Anyway, what do you guys think 'bout this?
~
I know there was a heat between these two. But was it deliberate, and do he need to go such length just to win the series? Is Luka that unstoppable?

It can happen. I don't really like how that Morris play.
I have seen him do bad moves. But he says he didn't do it.
So I guess that will just depend on us.

Isn't there mobile versions of Linux operating systems now like Ubuntu? It's on companies to decide what they want to support, if you tried making an app store for apple, you'll get sued if you're not based in Europe because "socialism is bad even if it serves a good purpose".

As for the Google play store, there's the amazon appstore already. Some companies like huawei tried making their own too but they didn't last long/are still in development.

Nope there is no ubuntu os for devices ... pretty much each manufacturer adds his own OS and and he decides what apps he allows on the device .

And another problem after you buy the device it takes 2-3 year before you need to buy new one so you can upgrade to download apps .

They control what we see and what we do on the devices we buy ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I7vPbthvWo

Which is true.
I hate that kind of control. They keep on upgrading and so does the apps requirements so you have no choice buy to buy a new phone.

Do Google Play also profit in this kind of strategy?
If it weren't for them then maybe no one will buy a new phone again.
If that is so, then hell yeah, there is a need for a new manufacturer which will  not rely on Google Play or Apple services.

Huawei has its own kind of playstore now right?

This update is a nice profit from yolodice! we are now at almost 18% of our ROI!!! which is very good! Hoping to see more profit through the following weeks  Grin
Expected to see your ATH in investissement since there was another spike in the chart lately. I am at ~11% ROI with +140k satoshi in profit. For the moment it is kinda calm, we will see if there will be more profit or not soon  Wink

I am so happy now with my decision back then. I am not really expecting this much since I mistakenly closed my investment back then and just put it back.
Yeah, I am also up by 12% which is something else.
I mean, you cannot get it with other investments in a short span of time.

Let's hope this will stay or better go higher. But that means more players losing.  Grin

I'm a little late to hear the news on KP but since i've already made my bet yesterday and can't cancel them anymore then i will leave it that way, +6.5 Mavericks and a little for ML. Anyway the Mavs have proven to us that they can beat the Clips even without KP and Luka is oozing with confidence right now and that maybe enough for them to take this game 5.

Yesterday, Dallas Mavericks Moneyline I think is around @3.2. With Kristap Porzingis being questionable, the odds rose to @4.1.

Worth to try. That's how Mavericks is being looked as an Underdog that even they even the series, their Moneyline odds never goes below @2.

Lucky Mavericks fan. It's worth placing a bet for them.

And now it's garbage time.
It's tough to handle 2 offensive players like Kawhi and PG13 while fighting on the other end is just Luka.
He needs KP on this game.
3-2 in favor of Clippers.

Who thinks it will go further to Game 7? I did. But if KP will not play this may end in 2 days.  Cry
Sorry Luka, maybe next year.

The Nevada State Prison Used to Have a Casino for Inmates.
~
Gambling is such a huge industry in Nevada that even the state prison had a casino inside it for 35 years. That's right: inmates could play blackjack, craps, poker, and even bet on sports inside the "Bullpen," a stone building on the prison's grounds in Carson City from 1932 to 1967. A new warden from California shut it down that year, saying gambling was a "degradation" to the inmates. - Source

I know it is happening in prison but I never thought they will create a space and a table for them.
Could be big profits for the warden just setting this up.  Grin

Well, even if they shut it down they can still make it happen.
Gamblers will always find their way.  Cheesy

Can easily be compared to virtual gambling.
Like playing poker in facebook where that money is just from another user who sent you gifts.

You play and gamble all the way without even thinking about it.
Why? It ain't real. That is the dark side of that.
I'd rather trade with a little amount. That way, I will still be careful because I am losing real money.
