3241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: September 27, 2016, 10:44:18 AM
No it can disappear because not all roles been played by the banks is being offered by Bitcoin, Bitcoin can not provide a vault service for me to keep and secure my Gold or precious metals. the only thing is that it can only reduce the influence of these banks
3242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 27, 2016, 10:40:52 AM
Yes, it can greatly help them. The remittance market is huge especially in developing countries and also it is helping small guys from the countries earn money that is helping them to improve their standard of living because unemployment seems to be quite high in this countries
3243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most common mistakes of amatuer Bitcoin sellers on: September 27, 2016, 10:37:59 AM
I think the most common mistake of amateur bitcoins sellers, they use payment method using reversible services are like paypal, skrill and neteller without escrow service and they usualy sell the bitcoins to users who has not positive feed back, so they was got scam.

I agreed with your points, anybody that is going to transact with anybody must enforce the use of Escrow service
3244  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why we must trust with bitcoin? on: September 27, 2016, 10:33:52 AM
I trust Bitcoin because it gives me total control of my asset instead of trusting someone with my money.

This attack is going to strengthen ETH foundation  decision to move to POS
3246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCash: What's the point? on: September 23, 2016, 02:38:28 PM
The market is there for taken, most of these tokens are still on trial phase and we are still not sure which one of them will solve scaling problem.
3247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunters on: September 23, 2016, 02:34:48 PM
Bounties are important for any new project , but the spammers hurt this fact , I think translation might help a lot of members who do not speak English very well , and here you can find people from all around the world , sure they will understand better if they read in thier native languages . Other kind of bounties like Twitter and Facebook attract a lot of spammers , but the honest supporters help with promoting the project as well .

I don't know when people will realise that the spammers are  the Achilles heels of bounties program, but it has been proven to be success, Antshares, ICONOMI, DECENT etc. are good  recent examples. If the developers are getting the expected results they have nothing to worry about but the bounty hunters
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my eth for etc on: September 23, 2016, 02:26:38 PM
@mining1. But this is not nature. This is crypto and who are we to say what survives and what should die? Even if you justify it be saying that "it is the nature of things", there is also a justification that both can diverge and follow their own paths. Maybe later they can even co exist. In my opinion now is a good time to start hoarding ETC. It has proven to be quite resilient also despite threats of it being abandoned and attacked. Also Barry Silbert and Charles Hoskinson's support is nice.

Interesting you mentioned Barry Silbert and Charles Hoskinson, to me Barry Silbert has invested in ETC but is He going to support the platform financially because nobody can denied that ETC has been able to attract good developers and with time people will be expecting them to start launching Dapps on the platform and this require funds to actualise, if he can help them open up partnership this will be good rather thn been a pump and dump coin also concerning Charles, He is a good guy but to me I think He got back into ETC just to prove something to ETH foundation rather than been driven by passion that other developers on ETC has for the project, He is the CEO of a company already.

3249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: September 22, 2016, 07:54:16 AM
I think it's time people move on from Waves. You guys are missing big holding onto this for a very unrealistic dream. You guys screwed yourself entering at such a high market cap and I'm sorry but even if shit ever got developed and released, you are looking at a 1.5x ICO price at best.

Thanks dad.

The problem with Waves token is that the volume on Bittrex can not drive the price up significantly, we are taking of  project that raised over 30000+BTC on an exchange where the daily volume is 1000+BTC. Only scrappers are making money with Waves presently.
3250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 22, 2016, 07:53:16 AM
Undecided Undecided Undecided low Vol is not good for help to add polo

Just wait.  Cheesy

Without polo, we have more than 7X of ico price on bittrex, if they won't list us, it is their loss, there are a few top 20 coins are not there. I agree with Pap0u, "It's a shame Poloniex is so snob on adding coins, like it matters to them scam or not they make their trading fees; polo is pompous assholes. Either way, low volume is also good, means people are holding."

11   DigixDAO
15   Waves
17   Emercoin

http://coinmarketcap.com/
I think what Poloniex is interested in is Volume, the volume of Stratis is low on average and I can see a pattern now that the price movement is been driven by one or two small whales, Poloniex have no option but to list Steem when whales drove the price to the moon on Bittrex but Stratis don't have this kind of big whale yet.
3251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 22, 2016, 07:45:08 AM
Why is the ICO price higher than the price on the exchange?
3252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO OPEN on: September 22, 2016, 07:40:03 AM
Important questions for ICONOMI.

1. How much have you invested in ICONOMI before the ICO launch date? I.e. how much will be taken from the ICO funds to cover your past operational costs?

2. What tools will you use for trading? Your own software? Will ICONOMI own that software too? Will ICN holders have access to that tools or an ability to use them?

3. Who and how will take the decisions about the profits distribution? For example, to reinvest a certain amount in the new features development or to pay as dividends?

4. Who and how will take another important management and strategic decisions in ICONOMI? Cashila? ICN holders? In what way?

5. I read about the voting system in the whitepaper. Can you give us some more details? Who will be eligible to vote? Who will decide when and what questions to vote for? Is voting system based on Ethereum smart contracts?

6. The Operator will be Cashila for the first two years, right? What’s the procedure for the Operator changing?

7. Who will audit your Ethereum smart contracts?

8. Will all the ICO funds be released from the Escrow at once or by parts?
I know the Escrow funds will be released after the first fund launch. What are the criteria for a successful fund launch? For example, if the fund will be launched but the cryptocurrencies will be accepted only, does it qualify for the Escrow release? Did you sign any agreements with the Escrow key holders? Can you publish them, maybe partially?

9. Will we know the names of ICONOMI experts who are to manage The ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE FUND? Do they have a successful trading history?

10. CoinFunds Whitepaper (https://www.iconomi.net/ICONOMI_Whitepaper.pdf) question.
Table 2 (page 9).
How did you choose the tokens for Table 2?
There are 9 tokens but these are not the lower 9 tokens from the Table 1.

11. Will you sign any contracts with people depositing with fiat?

Good questions.

Addressed here. I would like to see more discussion to address them with additional expectations where needed in a blog post.

1. How much have you invested in ICONOMI before the ICO launch date? I.e. how much will be taken from the ICO funds to cover your past operational costs?

We invested all the knowledge we got from operating Cashila.com. We start developing idea and start working on the product at the beginning of this year. All work before the ICO is considered as an investment into ICONOMI.

2. What tools will you use for trading? Your own software? Will ICONOMI own that software too? Will ICN holders have access to that tools or an ability to use them?

There won’t be trading tool, but fund management platform. It will be a proprietary software created and managed by Cashila as service operator and owned by ICONOMI shareholders. ICN will be owners in this case and will have same access to the platform as everyone else.

3. Who and how will take the decisions about the profits distribution? For example, to reinvest a certain amount in the new features development or to pay as dividends?

As described in Whitepaper all profits will be distributed to ICN token holders as long as we have ICO assets. After that revenue split 30:70, service operator 30%, ICN token holders, 70%. But as long as we have funds raised during ICO 100% of revenue will go to ICN token holders.

4. Who and how will take another important management and strategic decisions in ICONOMI? Cashila? ICN holders? In what way?

For first 24 months Cashila is the service operator, where Cashila management is making all important decisions communicated publicly in best possible way.

5. I read about the voting system in the whitepaper. Can you give us some more details? Who will be eligible to vote? Who will decide when and what questions to vote for? Is voting system based on Ethereum smart contracts?

ICONOMI will be issued on Ethereum platform as a smart contract, thus voting will be on Ethereum as well. Every keyholder at certain block will be eligible to vote. Wisdom of the crowd does not work here. The only question that will be ever to vote will be which operator to choose. Every two years there will be a vote for which operator to choose. Everyone will be able to apply. 50% + 1 wei will win the winning vote. If no one will gain sufficient majority contract will take first 50% + 1 wei of the voted members and create a new round of votes all until we have one sole winner.
In case of extraordinary events. A single vote with at least of 75% participation and ⅔ or majority votes will be able to push for a extraordinary meeting which can take place at anytime and vote for a new service operator.
A small but reasonable amount should be charged to apply as a candidate in order to prevent spamming with millions of anonymous accounts.

6. The Operator will be Cashila for the first two years, right? What’s the procedure for the Operator changing?

Every 2 years there is general voting where 50% + 1 wei is winning combination. At any given time there might be extraordinary voting event where yet to decide amount of voting will need to take place (probably 50%) where the only voting question will ever be if we wanna change current service operator. If result will be to change, then ordinary voting for new operator will happen afterwards.

7. Who will audit your Ethereum smart contracts?

Deja Vu. But we might get 2nd audit as well.

Fund launch is when funds are publicly open and individuals are able to invest in them. In fiat and cryptos. It’s a trust game. Gasper from Xaurum and Max from Lisk have their own project behind them and Alexander is a well known and respected in the community and no one has incentive to play in anything but the best faith. For example, if Max as a single keyholder for Lisk releases funds for no reason, then he jeopardises Lisk. And being dedicated to Lisk that much, he for sure won’t betray community trust that he was building for quite some time (even before Lisk).
We signed no “old economy” contract, but you can find all escrow partner’s confirmation of being keyholder in our OP.

9. Will we know the names of ICONOMI experts who are to manage The ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE FUND? Do they have a successful trading history?

Not trading history. This is not about trading. But investing into right project. Names will be published at the launch of the fund. Jani will be one for sure. With successful investing history.

According to: categorisation, market cap, trading volumes. Within each category we defined it it is winner takes it all or if there can be more winners. This week a blog with release on ICONOMI.index will be published with better explanation of that.

11. Will you sign any contracts with people depositing with fiat?

No. Terms of use define that. Bank deposits are with us and we have a track of what each user got for it’s bank deposit - in order to avoid chargebacks.
People may be missed this part. quoted for them.

Thank you! I would suggest everyone to read questions and answers as well.
I am very satisfied with the answers. I don't have any doubt about my investment, 2000 people can't be wrong!
Keep up the good work dev. i can only guess who is behind the newbie account  Tongue

I have invested in the project too, but DAO proved 2000 people can be wrong. Just don't invest what you can't afford to lose though ICONOMI looks promising there is no need to be emotional with our investment.
3253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO OPEN on: September 22, 2016, 07:36:53 AM
what price of the coin at the moment?

Can't get accurate figure right, now, but estimated figure is 9k-11k sat. Should wait for final calculation based on total fund raised.

$5,181,938.61 / 100,000,000 = $.0518
6m = 6 cent
7m = 7 cent
etc etc

The more you put in, the more the coin actually costs; but also remember this will not reflect the exchange launch prices... token holders set that themselves.

The way you calculate is wrong, ico price is devided by ico tokens, not the total supply, so: $5,181,938.61 / 85,000,000 is correct, others ico also calculate like this way: waves, lisk, stratis.

There is another example so you can understand it easier. AMP first ico sold 50 M coins, but their total supply is 1.6 billion, the first ico price is: XXXXX usd/50m, not XXXXX/1.6 billion.

I beg to differ, the developers token will be part of the calculation

What is delaying this project, I've been following this project before Decent. Can someone tell me what is going on with this project and when is it going to start the ICO.
3255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) on: September 22, 2016, 07:31:38 AM
this project only receive ETH for investment?
or we can invest in this project with another cryptocurrency?
i hope not only accept ETH, maybe another cryptocurrency like BTC or LISK
They only take ETH. But they should have shapeshift in their lightwallet.

It is better to convert it to Ethereum on Poloniex or any other open exchange because the conversion rate with shapeshift is always higher plus they will also add their own commission, you it if you want to remain anonymous
3256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshare ICO Statistics & Lottery Draw Announced! on: September 19, 2016, 09:45:40 AM
damn the bounty hunters got more coins than i have invested and my bounty is not calcuated correctly. so i will vote that the bounty should be paid in bitcoin accordingly

That is my fear
3257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] INCHAIN. Ethereum based insurance platform on: September 19, 2016, 09:42:32 AM
Guys, do you have any ideas how to restrict the spammers and fake FB&Twitter accounts from bounty campaigns?
send your message here with a link twitter or facebook  respectively if you do not want to see spamer.
do not use docs.google.com for payment

Why? and what using instead?

Iconomi, antshares and decent projects have suffered spammers, a few cheaters create new accounts or buy old accounts, imagine one cheater has 30 accounts. I just checked your docs, insane, how can real 200 FB members join? I guarantee the real guys are less than 50. Others are fake.

It can be true on our case. But how can we prevent their participation?

I would suggest you reject any facebook and twitter account that is not more than 3 month old and you should limit the number of facebook  and twitter followers to 100 minimum. Also for signature campaign, set a cap for jr.members to maybe 50 spaces for them once the space has been filled up don't accept any jr.members to the campaign again because it is easy to create new multiple accounts but it is difficult to maintain it to reach member rank. I know you want publicity and exposure to your project but from experience this spammers are bad for the business in the long term because most of their followers are not real followers or they just buy account and their followers have little or no interest in Blockchain or Cryptocurrencies and when the token get listed they we dump their tokens on the market because they have no investment in the project. I wish you guys the best.

I think there is one or two whales manipulating Stratis price, they are always active during weekends, anybody suspect this kind of trend, I will like your view

I have decided to join this campaign after the PostBase ICO was cancelled, I have invested already into ICONOMI and I think I should rally for more support for the project

Does anyone have information on which exchange will be started DECENT?  Huh

Actualy you can now trade on www.liqui.io

Liqui.io is not an exchange, it has no/little volume so what do they have to exchange if not IOU
