yeah the 12.5 volt setting  gives good hashing numbers.

All ups tracking numbers show the same

Me in NJ = Wed 6 pieces 1 for me 1 for HerbPean 2 for thesmokingman 2 for jonnbravo0311

sidehack hosting = Thur 10 pieces  9 for  borachinua   and 1 for bctmke/philipma1957

Sloopy in OK = Thur 1 piece

tlhIlwI in TN = Fri 1 piece

I assisted thesmokingman and bctmke  in getting btc for the buys.

I am expecting my replacement board late to day will post on it in this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1336377.0

Thanks again Smiley

So more on improving cooling for my 6 gekkos.

I've ordered 2 of the following heatsink:

I plan to attach 3 sticks side by side on each, they have higher fins and they're orientated properly for my current cooling setup.

What do you think ?

Now I'm wondering if I should re use screws to secure the sticks or if thermal pad would be good enough....

you have me thinking I have an extra heatsink from an avalon6 hash board that burned.

I wonder if I can attach it to my sticks.

where is that 20ph? after so much good luck, some bad luck i find absolutely normal!

Yea, every time the hashrate goes up the "luck" goes down. Completely normal. How stupid do you think people are exactly?

Well I could say they are as stupid as you for that statement.

But I do say you are stupid.

Since that statement could be accusing  NiceHash Westhash and MRR of bad rentals.

rather then accusing this pool of doing something wrong.

It is in the best interest of Kano.is to do good luck  and grow hash like a mofo.

So I ask whom are you blaming for the bad luck Kano.is?   or a witholding attack via rental?

My guess is  bad luck does happen and 2 shit blocks will occur.
32452  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Runaway miner acquisition "syndrome" on: February 02, 2016, 04:19:41 AM
I looked at it very carefully and that is all the transactions ever made.

So last month 6,000,000 were made so 30 x 200,000 = 6,000,000

So the 200,000 per day is correct. So a 1000ph made about 200000 transactions.

So 200 s-7s = 1 ph

we have 200,000  s-7s. So we use 1 s-7s to do 1 transaction a day

1 s-7s cost about 925.

so a 925 dollar machine using 2-3 dollars in power is doing  1 transaction per day. A transaction fee is 0.0002 btc give or take.

So the math is you lose.

This needs crazy transaction growth to work.  And with block size stuck at under 1 million  how do transactions grow?

0.0002 btc  is about 7.5 us cents.   So the s-7 that cost you 1k and you spend 2 or 3 bucks a day in power is making 1 transaction for a 7.5 cent fee.

Not good.

note I did an edit I had 10 s-7's not 1 s-7 per transaction I had a decimal shifted.

How loud is it if you run it with just 1 blade installed?  Grin

The same  as the fan needs to spin up to 2500-3000 rpm  in order to keep the one blade cool.

This voids your warranty

I cut the seals everywhere and I un screw all screws

pull top off make sure all seals and labels are cut open

here is internal controller

re set button  brought my internal board back from the dead.

I powered on unit with top off and pressed the button counted to 10 and boom it worked again

controller removed

point of interest  this controller has 4 jacks for 4 boards and 2 jack for fans
thus running four boards on one controller may work

I'm plenty safe then since it looks like my HSTNS-PL11 doesn't go past 12.45 without more extensive mods than turning a potentiometer.  The lower end is 11.5V-- it sounds like I may need that lower end just as much as the upper end to keep from killing things when the summer heat arrives.

yep that low number will help the unit to be cool

here is the rebuilt avalon6

running it with 11.7 shows 11.5 A tiny bit more efficient

yeah the dual 2000/4000 on high can do 12.83 and kill off your hashing board. I think I figured out why it happens and why most of us have 1 board hotter then the other.

I will post the replacement of a board in the dead board thread..

I just finished doin it and I am running my dual 2000/4000 on low volts 11.8 for a day
32460  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Runaway miner acquisition "syndrome" on: February 01, 2016, 08:07:42 PM
Bitisdom keeps looking pretty ugly still:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    120,033,340,651
Estimated Next Difficulty:    141,261,643,679 (+17.69%)
Adjust time:    After 974 Blocks, About 5.8 days
Hashrate(?):    1,084,629,999 GH/s

Price around 373... so again not way we want  to go.   This change is not going to be fun.

truly brutal numbers

Bitfury, Bitmain, etc. are killing the golden goose.
Do meager 200K transactions/day need above 1 exahashes of security?
Of course, not. This is ridiculous.

and where do you get the 200k transactions number?

along with that how much coins in the transactions?  a link could help me with that set of  numbers

this link reads 110,000,000 transactions per day

https://blockchain.info/charts/n-transactions-total

this link has btc value
