Isnt vircurex a super small exchange ?

From their webpage:

Long response time on support tickets
With the massive increase in new users over the past week we are also receiving a huge number of support inquiries. We are ~ 4 to 5 days behind schedule. Please bear with us while we are working on the backlog.

Gee, where have I read that before?

Have you ever tried to answer 500 emails a day?

Tell me how this will go.

Isnt vircurex a super small exchange ?

No they are not. But define "small"

do you prefer a bloated exchange like cryptsy (listing hundreds of coins), that seems to have a large volume, because trading lag is so large that people need hours to go in and out of trades???

For me, vircurex have always been the most reliable and secure exchange.

Them listing QRK means they have trust in the underlying security of QRK coin, and that has some value going forward.

I believe this thread reflects that qrk is pretty much half dead already or a sinking ship in other words.

I believe it's just down with many other altcoins and just that one dump, because people were speculating with the btc38 add. So many people bought expecting that and sold eagerly, also a lot of big holders dumped their coin again. That was not the last of Quark... I can't see Quark not rising again

I have Quark, but I don't like what I see. Sure it can rise... however, there are stronger coins than this without serious flaws in the community around it, you see.

yes, but not all problems are to be blamed on quark.

cryptsy is such a mess... and as long as it's quarks main exchange... quark will not perform.

2) I think that's under discussion/plan.

What do you mean with that? Is there a place where this matter is discussed at this moment, where I can participate?

If yes, where is this place.

Thank you.
3270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: December 15, 2013, 11:45:59 AM
Thank You.

Now, look how silly this thing is :  Go at http://devcoin.org/   Press CTRL+F, put "forum''.
What do you find? 2 results. One is about the pool forum, another is '' BitcoinTalk.org Forum '', which is a dead link.

How are people supposed to know where forum is? I wouldn't know now if you didn't tell me.

If you people really want DVC succeed, start making the site from the scratch.

Peace

Yes, clearly.

I already mentioned this exact problem a few pages ago in this thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg3949363#msg3949363

But no one seems to take me seriously with that matter...

So either there is no webmaster for devcoin.org, or he is asleep or not responding, or it's simply not getting thru to him, or he doesn't care, because he's dreaming about ATM machines.
3271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: December 15, 2013, 11:11:12 AM
I think they have a forum here by the way:

http://devcointalk.org/

Not well used.
3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: December 15, 2013, 11:07:28 AM

1) Make your own forum. - I'll pay hosting for 1 year.

2) Rebuild the website. It looks like a amateur made it. It's too damn static. ( Sorry, not trying to offend anyone )

3) Start promoting it via youtube, spread the word and convince people to take a little risk, by putting 1 dollar in DVC and follow its progress for just one week. Make people believe that DVC is here to stay for a long time. ( Which is true. )

4) The fact that people who write articles get DVC for their effort, it's really nice. But not enough to help the coin get a better position in the crypto world. All together, let's think how we can introduce DVC to the masses.

I agree with you. Devcoin has the big problem that it is not accessible to newcomers. Instead it demands from people a high understanding and geeky knowledge to even do simple things.
Newcomers are often left alone, without guidance how to do even the simplest task.

People have no place to just talk and ask the "stupid" but necessary questions all beginners have.

Devcoin on youtube is a desaster. If you type in devcoin in youtube you get the impression that devcoin has something to do with a pothead and a paid hooker, ... not good.

Devcoin has a barrier that must come down so that new people will get curious. Now it has a wall without door in front of them.

I mean look at the people in this forum, they talk about ATM machines, while the website is a desaster... Wrong priorities if you ask me.

3273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 15, 2013, 10:53:34 AM
looks like qrk will be listed on btc38 without any pre-announcement, but why are you guys so confident that there will be a price increase?
some of the coins did not change their value at all. anyone knows what chinese say about quarkcoin?
and what are they going to talk about on 19th on Keiser?

I have repeatedly said that I don't care about btc38, and many others here agree.
Chinese can already trade thru bter for many days now. Also this is the internet, so they should be able to use cryptsy with only a little english knowledge.

Keiser interview on the other hand might get interesting, but I hope that Bill Still will not embarass himself when trying to do tech talk...  Roll Eyes

what's with the devtome site, I often get this error:

Error 508.  Resource Limit Is Reached

Who is the admin of this site?

Even the link you just provided gives this error:

edit... it seems to work now again. Maybe the server needs some upgrading?
0.3 It's currently being worked on by sidhujag according to posts a page/two back, otherwise updates to be done over christmas with group and core funding: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=310280.0

On devtome, the site's registation was previously hit heavily by bots so that option was closed off down to focus on enquiry-based signups. Since then there are intermittent attacks by somebody who seems to have a problem with it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg3690655#msg3690655 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg3927234#msg3927234

Dinkleberg: 31st Dec. More info on payments on the statistics page: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_stats

Countdown clock - all it needs is a spreadsheet link, could probably just be added to smeagols dvc price site:
Using an old start point for calc: In A1 enter '12/05/2013  21:50:00' (date formatted, this is GMT for ref if want to be specific). In A2 enter current DVC Block. In A3 (also date formatted as above) type =A1+((120000-89150)/((A2-89150)/(NOW()-A1))). Right now that gives 31/12/2013 10:24 GMT

well, thanks.

So devtome is often attacked by bots... ever tried using cloudflare or something similar?

most of the rest that you said I have no idea what it means... but I am eager to learn... is this the usual devcoin-talk? lol

Want to get rich? Make a Quark exchange that works properly! It's volume will make you rich.
+9000

Already working on one myself.

me too ...  Grin

that's what I like about the quark community, everyone is busy doing things.

this must put a lot of guys off...

Absolutely... I am starting to wonder if that's the reason why DVC price stayed so low for such a long time...

now that price is rising, it looks ridiculous to have a wallet like that. Website at devcoin.org is also partially not working, as I mentioned here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg3949363#msg3949363

and it's been like that for weeks...

why?
3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: December 14, 2013, 09:06:32 PM
why must devcoin wallet look so different than any other wallet I have ever installed?

What kind of version of qt is this?

or isn't it at all?

I'm with you buddy,i want to get a wallet but have no idea which one to get,got coins burning a hole in exchange and want them out

You could run the daemon with command line... but don't know if you can handle this.

It's how I do this for now.
3280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: December 14, 2013, 07:37:54 PM
is it because qt is proprietary or something?
