I have a few capital and I will like to know the proper token to venture in. Am unused to NFTs and will cherish to induce your supposition on which NFT to purchase for a brief term bas
Mind you that when you make enquiries such as this, users usually suggest to you the coins that they are actually hodling in a bid to pump it, thus you'd have to be very careful and do your own research about the coins that you want to invest in. I would have suggested you buy ethereum or Bitcoin, but they are both long term projects and you're looking for a short term Investment, thus lower altcoins are prolly your best option, it is definitely risky, but if you're spot on when to buy and when to take your ROI, then you could make profit.
3262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin market has become scammer's playground on: November 27, 2021, 10:58:42 PM
There are many others as well. It is a money laundering heaven. Don't you think such gold rush has to stop at some point. Otherwise cryptos will never be able to make its way into the mainstream world. People are buying from craps to garbages in the name of cryptos.
Of course it has to stop for altcoins to obviously move to the next level, but definitely you and I know it just wouldn't stop that way, the individuals who create this useless coins have found a way to make money by deceiving others and stealing from them, thus there is no way they will just stop. Investors and crypto users who still try to make money by investing in such (lottery) projects are the ones that need to stop, they need to do their research into the projects they are investing in, or much better they should just outrightly invest in projects that are somewhat popular and have an actual use case.
3263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: November 27, 2021, 10:41:28 PM
I don't know if Elon Musk is in full or partly in control of Shib coin, and to be honest, in crypto one can decide to keep something anonymous and there is no way to actually find out about it, thus even if I personally do not think Elon is the "boss" behind the shib token, there is actually no way to be 100% sure.

Having said that, I don't know if your question is regarding your desire to invest in shib, but mind you that it should not shape or form your decision, if you want to invest in shib, it should be after you must have done your own research and come to the conclusion that shib is a good investment. Mind you that more often than not, if a popular individual owns a greater percentage of a coin that the other investors put together then it could be counterproductive cause such person can cause a huge dump in the network by just selling all of their coins, so invest wisely and out of your own research.
3264  Other / Meta / Re: This board is not keeping up with current times on: November 26, 2021, 09:33:17 PM
How about altcoins? How about DeFi, NFTs, metaverse and everything trending these days?
There are a couple of thread on all of these issues in the altcoin discussion section, and in my opinion, it's much better to contribute to these discussions whenever they come up in the altcoin section by giving your own input rather than asking for a separate section for each of them, knowing fully well that it will prolly be difficult to implement. It's common to see users complaining about an issue without actually putting in their own personal effort to make the situation better.

Having said that, the only way this becomes a good request is when there are more quality topics/discussion on them, but at the moment, tbh, most of the discussions on this things on the altcoin board is low quality stuff.

I hope Man United is in good form and has high motivation for this match. we need an interesting match, not like the top team against the bottom team.
That's exactly what fans and the neutrals are asking of Manchester United as well, they should compete, even if they do not win the game, they should at least play like they actually have the intention of winning, in the last couple of games under OGS, United made things relatively easy for their opponents, they never chased the game with intensity, I feel these players need a manager that can motivate them, they look dispirited, and I hope their new manager can awaken the winning mentality in the team. Chelsea is a big test, and if they come out with a positive result, then it's an absolute morale booster for the entire team.

Whenever talk about renewing Osmane Dembele contract approaches, news of his departure enters the line. Last season was sponsored by Man United, and today the destination is Newcastle.
Dembele must decide once and for all what he wants to do with his career, it's just similar with the situation of Paul Pogba in Manchester United, I believe when a player isn't having the best time in a club and he feels he wants to move elsewhere, then it's better to do it immediately, there is no need wasting time, keeping your club hanging and not knowing what your final decision is going to be. In my opinion, I do not think Dembele should sign a new contract with Barcelona, he hasn't been playing well since he moved to Barcelona, maybe a change of club is what his career needs to start moving forward again.
3267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with the flaunting of irreversibility? on: November 26, 2021, 10:03:24 AM
How can the police confirm I've got scammed and not lied? It's definitely harder than with cash if the seller knows how things work.
From this last line, I think your post is talking more on anonymity than irreversibility, in the sense that if you get scammed with Bitcoin, there are very few ways to actually prove that you were scammed, and such cases are more often than not dismissed, but the thing is, whatever has a pro, usually has a con, thus with all the advantages of Bitcoin, which is most especially the fact that users are their own banks, the one thing the network expects of it's users is to protect themselves to the best of their ability, Bitcoin users who learn the security protocols on the network will hardly get scammed, if they want to make purchases with Bitcoin, they'll only buy from a well known store or individual who accepts Bitcoin, as a user, knowing how difficult it is to trace Bitcoin transaction, you should as such take double steps in protecting yourself and making the right choices when it comes to your funds.
3268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 26, 2021, 09:46:56 AM
What's your opinion on bitcoin at the moment?
My opinion about Bitcoin hardly changes, it doesn't matter if it looks like it's a bull or bear run coming, it still remains a good time to buy Bitcoin as long as you're ready to hodl it for a long term, short term investors prolly have to put a lot of things into consideration cause they will most likely be selling in not too long a time, but if you're in the network for the long period, you should not really be worried about a correction/plunge in price, in the long period, the price will definitely go up again. Just as it looks like the price is going down right now, smart Bitcoin investors have started accumulating again, and if you know you'll not panic sell and you'd hodl your coins for a long time, then you should accumulate as well.
3269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 25, 2021, 08:58:36 PM
If they should appoint Ralf rangnick is not a bad choice,  rangnick is a well experienced coach , he has worked very well in building teams. He a man who likes team work than only a particular player trying to make good effort. His pattern of formation is outstanding . I think he is the kind of coach Manchester United needs right now.
Ralf is a decent coach, but the thing is, are Manchester United's players ready to play good football, are they willing to improve and start giving their everything when they step out on the pitch of play, I know it's the duty of the coach to set up his players, but the players themselves also have to develop the desire to perform, at the moment, many of United's players play like they are not proud to be putting on their clubs colors. As Manchester United are about to hire a new manager, the players must also change their mindset and put on a winning mentality.
3270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 25, 2021, 07:54:25 PM
Barcelona's current performance is still not completely consistent but for this match I feel optimistic that Barcelona will win the match.
Their performance was quite different when they were coached by Koeman and Xavi I think it will be something good for Barcelona at the moment.
To be honest, I haven't noticed too much of a difference in Barcelona's play when they were coached by Koeman and now that Xavi is the head coach, I have said this a couple of times already, I do not think the problem with Barca currently rests solely on the manager, their present predicament stems from their hierarchy, bad club management is to blame for their poor form and subsequent crisis, as a result of that, they can no longer afford quality players, looking at Barcelona's squad this days, and all you see is a dearth of quality, I think they'll be down for a long time, irrespective of who's their manager.

Having said that, as for their game against Villarreal, as it stands any decent team can get a result when they face Barcelona, and Villarreal is obviously a decent team, thus I'd not be surprised if they get one, or all three points against Barcelona.
3271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's more important: good marketing or technology? on: November 24, 2021, 11:28:54 PM
What do you think is important for the success of the project: the presence of really good technology or development, or just strong marketing that will create hype around the project?
The thing is, hype is somewhat ephemeral and will only last for a short term, there are many projects currently, and in the past as well that didn't have any worthwhile use case, but was just been pumped by hype, it took only a short time for the projects to completely fall out of the market, thus what I'm saying is, a project definitely needs more than hype to be sustainable for the long period, and even if a project wants to create hype, then they should also work on their network and try and have many other things to offer than just hype.

In my opinion, technology beats hype anyday, I think with a great technology and ecosystem a project team doesn't need to put too much effort into creating hype, and the project will definitely be sustainable for the long period, in summary, technology/development is primary, while hype/marketing is secondary.
3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 24, 2021, 11:03:59 PM
I think the bear market will hold for long.
Why do you think so, I'm not disputing the fact that it's very much possible for the bear market to last for a while, but if we take a look at the Bitcoin network, it's adoption and the influx of institutional investors into the network in the last one year, then it's prolly safe to say that Bitcoin would probably not stay down for a long time. And then again, manipulation is only temporary on the Bitcoin network, in the long run it becomes ineffective. There will be many more price correction time, and even if I may be wrong, I do not expect Bitcoin to experience a spontaneous and a sustained fall in price

Having said that, the case could prolly be different with other coins, especially those that are easily manipulated by individuals and organizations that own large amount of it, if you're holding such coins, then it's possible it could experience a long bear market, so it's better to take your ROI with such coins when you get it.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 24, 2021, 12:33:54 AM
It looks like Barcelona is heading for the Europa League
In all honesty, I'd have to agree with you, who would have thought we would be saying something like this a couple of seasons ago, Barcelona as a club has really deteriorated, and it'll all be sumed up if they drop out of the UCL group stage into the Europa league, that'll definitely affect the prestige and reputation of this great club, but from the looks of things, it looks set to happen, I said a couple of weeks ago that I don't think the problem with Barcelona is their coach, they lack so much quality in their side, and if they are to start winning again, then they have to buy new quality players, changing just the manager isn't enough, and Xavi doesn't even have the necessary experience to save the team from it's current predicament. Barcelona must beat Bayern on the final matchday, and honestly, I can't see them doing that.
3274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 24, 2021, 12:07:37 AM
It is rumoured that Mohamed Salah is close to sign a new contract extension with his team. I heard some time ago that Barcelona were interested in signing him in January or this summer seriously. But even if they had the funds, I thought that they wouldn't have such opportunity. Because I guess that Liverpool and Salah both are contented with each other. Salah is having one of his best times at Liverpool now. And the team are also doing very good in the EPL and CL both. So I expect this contract extension to end successfully for each side.
Obviously, I see no reason why Mo Salah wouldn't extend his contract with Liverpool, he has completely taken his game to a whole new level this season and is currently one of the best players in the world, he'll want to continue with that form and try and reclaim the EPL title for Liverpool. Having said that, I do not even think Barcelona can afford Mo Salah for now, they seem to be in a sort of financial crisis, and definitely Mo will cost over a 100 million pounds, so there is no way he's moving to Barcelona, and even if they can find a way to afford him, Barcelona is a club struggling at the moment, it may take them quite a long time to return to the club we knew them to be, so how can Salah leave a Liverpool side that's firing on all cylinders, for a team that's struggling for form and consistency.
3275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 21, 2021, 08:49:07 PM
I'm just worried that Manchester City will suffer 2 defeat for the 2 leg of the Champions League group stage because by far Messi is the player who often scores goals against City. Yesterday he scored his first goal in Ligue 1 and I believe he is in active mode as a player who will endanger the Manchester City defence. Even if PSG or City lose that game, but I think both team will qualify for the next round considering that Brugge will no longer harm them.
Club Brugge still has a chance to make it to the round of 16, so PSG and City being the favorites in that group have to be very careful, City v PSG on Wednesday is going to be a very crucial game, cause the team that wins knows they are already through, but as for the losing team, they'll be under immense pressure in the final matchday if Club Brugge beats Leipzig on Wednesday; it's still somewhat open in that group, though expectedly, City and PSG should make it in the end, but it was as far from easy as people thought.

Having said that, City's game against Everton was a perfect way to prepare for their game against PSG, Manchester City dominated the match and came out comfortable winners in the end. I know City lost their first leg tie against PSG, but in my opinion, they were the better team, I believe they must have corrected their mistakes and I am rooting for them to be victorious in this second leg fixture.
3276  Other / Meta / Re: Can a permanent ban be reconsidered on: November 21, 2021, 08:46:56 AM
What I don't understand is why some cases of permaban are resolved in 2 days and some are resolved in 2 years
I think it depends a whole lot on the case itself, the user, how the appeal was presented and the evidence delivered to the moderators, obviously some appeal cases will last longer than others before it's either revolved or debunked, sometimes it depends a lot on when the plagiarism was committed, how many times it was committed and the intent with which it was committed, in other instance, the moderators try to take a look at the reputation of the accused user, if the user actually deserves a second chance or not, or if a signature ban would be the best verdict. Other times, if the accused user cannot present enough evidence in their appeal, then it could take the mods time to come to a conclusion. Having said that, I know some cases just takes a few days to resolve, but if you look closely, such cases are easier and straight to the point that the ones that will prolly take many months
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 20, 2021, 05:44:08 PM
Still, I'm quite positive we will win today. Arsenal is simply a team that suits us.
I also share in that positivity, I know Arsenal have been impressive in the last couple of games, but Liverpool just usually have a way to beat Arsenal, I just hope the gunners make the game competitive and Liverpool do not just blow them away. Klopp's men lost their last game against WestHam, so they'll look to bounce back from that defeat, if they drop more points today, then the gap between them and Chelsea widens. International break can cause tiredness when club football resumes, but I hope that isn't the case in this game, the match just started and we're about 15 minutes in, let's see the team that can manage to get the first goal.
3278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 41% of people globally say they trust Bitcoin over local currencies on: November 20, 2021, 11:25:15 AM
The government somewhat controls fiat currencies, they can print it and take decisions concerning it arbitrarily, and most times their actions in the end can cause Inflation and a spike in the cost of living, leaving the citizens to bear the brunt as they are the ones in the receiving end of government policies regarding fiat currency.

Now that's the reason why the number of people who trust Bitcoin continues to grow rapidly, they trust the network cause it's decentralized, and no one controls it, not even the government, the people are their own bank and they don't have to trust anyone other than themselves. I don't actually know if the numbers are accurate, but the thing is that definitely as times passes, the number of people who trust Bitcoin will definitely continue to increase as people will definitely come to the realization that it's actually a great idea to have their finances in their hands.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 20, 2021, 03:39:51 AM
I feel that the international break played its part and that’s why Bayern lost this fixture, and maybe we should consider doing a case study to see if the favourites often lose post the international break.
The big teams in the league usually have the most players that represent their countries, so most of their players are usually on duty during the international break, and it's very possible they can return a bit tired and might need an extra couple of days to start playing at full strength, but mind you that big teams do not always lose post international break, there have been a lot of international breaks this year already, and I don't think Bayern for example lost every game they've played immediately after the international break. Bayern lost this game cause Augsburg was prolly the better side, no need making excuses for Bayern and trying to play down the impressive feat by Augsburg.
3280  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 19, 2021, 08:18:31 PM
This is exactly the 'control' the government likes and we have incessantly been talking about it, Governments want establishments, industries, financial institutions like banks, its citizens, etc to answer to them, that's the very reason why they remain unfriendly to Bitcoin cause they can't control it, stop it from working or make their citizens go through them to get it, that's why they continue to impose regulations/restrictions and sanctions like blocking accounts related to dex crypto transaction. I'm afraid the bank can't do anything about this, they have to follow instructions laid down by the government, that's why they are a centralized service, just the same way centralized exchanges have to answer to the government and follow their instructions in some situations as well.
