Invest in DW ?? Its an open-source hackathon winner that Amir Taaki developed in a few hours. Then he handed the idea over for other to complete. He knows its got no legs to run though the idea rocks. Its in Alpha5, with extremely insecure vectors due to it being a browser extension... thing could be worse than that !! But is was a hackathon, and he won! The idea spread like wildfire. He quickly left for other projects.
DW is a cool little rogue project that will never see the light of day (ergo real use). Especially when you have OpenBazaar, apparently beta is launcbing end of August and expected release end of 2014. Now that's where its at.
Now THAT will go hand in hand with DRK...
That's what I want our masternodes to host! It sounds great! Will masternodes have the option of choosing which services they host? Not the masternodes itself, but linux can run multiple software... now if Evan would get that code (which will be open source), slap DRK on it. Boom, bye bye Darkwallet for good. But there are priorities elswhere. I agree with Tante. The bad previous forks were and extreme case of blessing in disguise stop playing with the boys and flip on your Skype please !!

That's just sad. If he has done the review, he should have released it. well obviously he is NOT done with the review right ! Otherwise he would have told us ... and specially you !

FINALLY, about 2 days too late. Edit: I just checked Kristov's twitter feed and realise the above is a BS post. It's on Facebook? YES he posted that on a question regarding DRK prices in Crypto currency collectors club

Crypto is taking a bloodbath across the board, and has been for days. That's part of the problem. Another part of the problem is communication. I understand and agree that Evan needs to be coding, but perhaps one of the other devs could communicate with eltito and get some official stuff posted. Namely, I believe, in this order: 1) What bugs/problems/issues are still out there with respect to RC4? Which are the most important to fix, and what is the timeline (approximate, not exact)? You can see all the issues reported here: http://jira.darkcoin.qa/browse/DRK/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:issues-panel and they've been prioritized. 2) Post-mortem of the RC4 release. How things could be improved for RC5, any unexpected problems or successes, etc. Help people understand just how complex a release of this magnitude is, and let them know that if there were any avoidable problems, that you've learned from them. I don't think we have mortem, LOL. It's working very well for the vast majority of people without issue. In fact there is talk on the forum of diving in and enforcing masternode payments. What the heck, the price is in the dumps anyway, lets do it! 3) Which "problems" aren't really bugs but still need to be addressed, and how will they be addressed (e.g. necessity of making new backups due to the keypool increasing, and frequency of these backups). Again, see that link, all the issues are posted and prioritized.4) Overall health of the network and possible timeline on enforcement (We also a great deal of clarity about how much testing enforcement has gone through and exactly what it entails. I think a lot of people--likely myself included--don't really completely understand how the "spork" method actually works.) There is talk of doing it soon, not sure if developers agree though? This time, it is the masternodes that will enforce and if blocks are found by non-paying miners, their blocks will be rejected until one that's playing fair finds the block. Really, we need a good majority of everyone running RC4 before we pull the trigger. Last I read, with all things included, it looks like we have 68% compliance.5) Update, if any, on the Kristov review. He is communicating exclusively with Evan. Whatever he finds, he reports to Evan. When he has finished his review, and given it to Evan, they will then let us know. This is to prevent any learning curve or misunderstanding from being posted and becoming a huge issue in the community when it's not. I'm sure Kristov will be thorough and he is probably already helping Evan with issues he sees? 6) Plans for RC5, the exciting announcement Evan hinted at, etc. No idea, but it'll be fun to find out!I believe we have a rock solid dev team and the fundamentals are sound. We just need to buckle down and keep doing what we're doing, get a little communication rolling, and the market will eventually see what we've got and price it accordingly. I just did a tutorial on coinbrief.net on the Darkcoin wallet. I hope it helps people overcome fear of using it. It's really not hard to use, and gives you a lot of information. I think once people understand what all the information means and how to get to it, they will see that it's actually quite simple and give it a try. I'm waiting for the tutorial to be approved then I'll post a link Hey Tante I do NOT understand this link you posted, can you explain that a bit please ?! Tx http://jira.darkcoin.qa/browse/DRK/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:issues-panel

Thats one thing i was wondering about... people shutting down master nodes and selling their DRK. I would assume that people running master nodes are believers and in it for long term. I am thinking about setting up a master node soon actually.
Does anyone know where to look to find the total number of master nodes running??
http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.htmlI think we were hit 630 ish at one stage 24 hours ago? Total Masternodes: 667 = 571 actives + 96 inactives

LoL I'm on that site right now trying to work out if they are legit or not. The owner has been around in darkcointalk.org for a few weeks. He started with weselldoges.com and I believe it has always worked great. People in doge reddit praise it a lot. He also has wesellredd.com. He launched weselldark.com yesterday and I did a small purchase to test it. It works as advertised as far as I know. Their markup is high (around 15% I believe), but accepting Paypal is dangerous as hell. I'm not affiliated in any way, just stating what I know. i heard from some people that they had problem getting confirmed, the email bounced back ?! "Btw, I just tried verifying my e-mail address with them at verify@wesellcrypto.com, just as they instruct, and it bounced..."

First of all, hello forum users, I'm one of those unlucky DRK bagholders, when I bought some DRK's the price was x4 higher, maybe it's not that much, but almost all what I got, don't need to say how I feel right now. I am seeing it right ? http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html36 MN's less after this midnight, so it means 36 000 DRK's ready to sell ? NO a lot of people are still updating or have not even yet updates. I have 2 (soon 3) MN's, but i was traveling and now i am too busy to update. so hold on to you knickers, there will be more soon ! I think it's a combination if several things, tungfa, some might be doing maintenance, some might be just starting to upgrade their MN's and yet others may be cashing out due to the current environment. its my belief its reakly going to be a combination of all if the above... Master nodes are always in a fluid state some coming some going. I know of several people that are putting MN up including 5 for me... when i have a second to get to it. Hope that helps. Tx man and i agree that it is several things i am not conceded and tried to explain it to bigrcanada nothing else

Ok, but how to explain this MNs count drop, right before price drop, it's a bit suspicious for me. Sometimes I'm feeling like lying to myself. haha you really think so, come on ! think about it ! if you have some thousands of coins, you just pull them out and drop them right away (when the price is so low) ja right ! (how dumb do you have to be, and where are these sell walls then ??) it is the bots fluxing with us, nothing else !

What is the situation with master nodes going offline? I thought Evan mentioned that there are failsafe mechanisms in place for this scenario?
