I'm new to crypto and I've been doing a lot of reading, Darkcoin seems like the best long position right now.
Id say so. listen to the Free IRC chat #darkcoin

I like this decreasing amount of MN for now. Today I got my MN payments record so far not in quantity of coins but in voting quantity. Cool. Evan Duffield what are the news we are all hungry of your words.

Evan Duffield what are the news we are all hungry of your words. Well I'm going to increase the masternode count. I figure the best way to know if things are working is if I get down in the trenches myself. I can't rely on the information from this thread or the other darkcoin thread. So I'm going to have a look see for myself. Setting up a masternode in the next 24 hours. Here's my coins: I figure what the heck. I made enough off of drk today for a couple masternodes but one is enough for now. Can't wait to see my first payments start rolling in. Now should be a good time to get in. Less masternodes = more drk for each one. Is that correct? Edit: Going to anonymize my coins now.

You can absolutely anonymize your MN money, but you'll have to send it in full 1000 to a new address (or same, but that wouldn't be anonymous at all) to run the thing. Good luck.

DRK <> BTC Exchanges You don't actually need an exchange as such....you just need an exchange mechanism that collects inputs of DRK or BTC and matches the two at an acceptable strike point. Bob wants to sell 1 BTC Jane wants to sell 1 DRK ( ) Both Bob and Jane send their coins to a holding address, effectively an escrow, and when there are two equally matched transactions, they are executed. Probably not that far removed from what Master Nodes do now with their 8 rounds. DRK Master Nodes as decentralised BTC exchanges....make it so....... This is actually a genius idea if implemented quickly and then open sourcing darksend. The coin might be saved due to quick adoption by wider community.

If we can graft Darkcoin onto Bitcoin in this way, it will be a hit, no doubt.

If we can graft Darkcoin onto Bitcoin in this way, it will be a hit, no doubt. That's right. Also the NY regs was actually the perfect backdrop to gain community support. Instead, the coin was in closed source mode and people avoided it. In a parallel world: Drk would be open source, AA would be singing its praises, KA confirms strong anonymity, a material chunk of the Btc community abandons Btc in favour of Drk, people forgive and forget the large mining at start and markets spring up around Drk that a copy cat clone can't replicate quickly enough. That's the way to cement Drk's position in the community, so any challenger coins will find it tough to gain support. Instead, the people that missed out on Drk went and created their own scam anon coins. What a missed opportunity.
