@TryNinja, post search parameters are great but I wonder if you have any plans to expand the functionality?

It would be helpful, for example, to be able to select multiple boards or to exclude specific boards from the results. Similarly, let's say we want to search for (or exclude) posts from members of a specific rank. Would it be possible to put anything like that in search params?
3263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where should i keep my bitcoins? on: May 02, 2021, 10:04:01 AM
Although I understand the risk brought up by inputting my balance on binance but the last hacking incident make me impress and trust them about further attacks since they assure that the funds of their users are safe.

I suppose you can put your money in Binance's hands, but bear in mind that Binance is primarily an exchange platform. There is no need to keep money there if you do not intend to use it for trading.

Since the OP said that he has no intention of selling Bitcoin, offline storage is unquestionably preferable to any custodial service. Not your keys...

Me and most of people are Here Only for money If Ain't no money we Don't need tht bs.

Stop acting like a fucking moron. I'm not sure how old you are, but I assume you're old enough to understand how to make money in this world. True, this forum provides some new opportunities, but you don't expect it to be handed to you on a silver platter, do you?

I'm not trying to make light of your situation. It sounds pretty bleak. You sound like a very confused young man who is pretty poorly educated. Is anyone ever successful without studying something? If you really want to be successful in life, you must take the initiative and work hard to achieve your ambitions. That's all I have to say; the rest is up to you.
3266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 09:53:54 PM
What is the worst piece of advice you've received since you first began dealing with crypto?

The worst piece of crypto advice I got was: DO NOT BUY Bitcoin.

You see, I was told not to buy Bitcoin for several reasons:
Bitcoin will eventually disappear. It has been inflated too much. It is too hard to buy Bitcoin with cash. There will be another Bitcoin bubble coming in the future. You will lose money and probably lose it badly.

This was the first piece of advice I was ever given that helped me lose money. Cheesy
3267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 09:28:29 PM
The rumor pumped bitcoin to $56k 2 hours before Facebook’s submission of their quarterly report to the SEC and dumped when it was released with not a mention of bitcoin hehe. This is only another bitcoin maximalist who is larping.
<cut>

Buy the rumor, sell the news is market folklore for a reason. But it's probably more prevalent than people realize.
In many ways, the market is driven by rumor and expectation. Sometimes, the news was way better than the rumor. In the case of Tesla, for example, the news far exceeded the rumor as far as bitcoin is concerned. However, some rumors remain just that: rumors.
3268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet, Stake or Sportsbet - Which is best? on: April 29, 2021, 08:36:53 PM
KYC isn't really a bad thing actually, if you believe and trust site is legit, why would you not want give your detail for them?
If we trust a site today, we don’t know what happens to it in a year or two. And there is no guarantee that the data won’t be stolen and then not leaked.
^ This is what exactly I want to say about those gambling sites that imposed KYC verification. Probably for now we trust them but how about in the future? Still, have a guarantee that our submitted documents are safe? What is the use that they are here in the crypto gambling space is to maintain being anonymous.

The newest generation of casino players is more technologically savvy than ever. They are ready to support all the relevant developments in the industry.
However, if you ask any of them how they feel about KYC, they will almost always be opposed to it. That's why they prefer to use cryptocurrencies.

One of the main reasons for this is that players do not trust casinos with KYC. The introduction of KYC has had some unintended consequences: it has shown the extent of distrust between gambling authorities and the gambling public. And as a result, casino operators are losing a lot of customers to other casinos.

Too bad Alistair didn't even provide what the rumour was based on(assuming it wasn't just some random guess by him or his source). Hence this rumour really isn't worth that much because we really have almost nothing to agree/disagree on lol.

I agree. I was just checking Alistair's Twitter for similar 'rumor' posts in the past.

So far, I've found one:

3271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk statement on his Bitcoin holding on: April 27, 2021, 02:55:26 PM
He just sold 10% of his investment. Just becasue of spaceX needs funds.

He said: "Tesla sold 10% of its holdings essentially to prove the liquidity of Bitcoin as an alternative to holding cash ...", not because the company "needs funds". These are two completely different things.

As I read it, he wanted to (had to) prove to his investors and shareholders that Bitcoin holdings are as liquid as cash.
3272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 27, 2021, 02:38:14 PM
According to some cryptocommunity members there is a rumor that the Facebook social media giant might be holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet.

https://twitter.com/alistairmilne/status/1386953429814333441

As one user commented, "I hope not, the companies that hold #bitcoin will probably survive the upcoming inflation."

What do you think?
3273  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: April 27, 2021, 02:24:36 PM

3274  Economy / Speculation / Re: i think we will see bitcoin 44k sooner on: April 27, 2021, 02:09:01 PM
It's just a speculation and like I said not to cause a fud. I am more interested in bitcoin high price than low price. But if any opportunities present itself to buy it cheaper I think we should watch out for that.

You really should read the definition of FUD.

Quote
FUD is generally a strategic attempt to influence perception by disseminating negative and dubious or false information.

3275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? on: April 27, 2021, 01:53:58 PM

LTC is the only alternative cryptocurrency capable of handling high network transaction fees. LTC can be used more for daily transactions than Bitcoin.

I'm not sure what you meant by this, but I'm sure you're mistaken.  Wink

There are many cryptocurrencies with significantly lower transaction fees and faster confirmations, not just LTC.
Although I like Litecoin in general, I really wouldn't label it "the only alternative cryptocurrency capable of handling high network transaction fees."

Here are just a few examples: [source]
Nano: $0 fees, 0.14 seconds for confirmation
Digibyte: $ 0.0005 fee, 5 minutes to confirm
XRP: $0.00078 fee, 4 seconds to confirm
BCH: $0.0024 fee, 2.5 hours to confirm
Stellar: $0.004 fee, 4 seconds to confirm
Dash: $0.0043 fee, 15 minutes to confirm
3276  Economy / Speculation / Re: i think we will see bitcoin 44k sooner on: April 25, 2021, 10:53:01 PM
Let the big boys do what they gotta do. I believe we are all aware of how these things are going. So, if you think you need to short it, go ahead and do it, but if you're here for the long haul, you know what to do. During the decline phase we have strong buy signals for long position. This is the situation where you can profit if you are smart enough.

3277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is now a Super Hero in new Comic Book series by Marvel and DC Artists on: April 25, 2021, 09:07:33 PM
I didn't know that SATOSH1 had moustaches and they created him with more bad villain look then I would like, reminding me a bit on The Shredder aka Oroku Saki from Ninja Turtles comic character that also has Japanese origin.
Maybe this was inspired with anonymous mask and they added extra red superhero hood, but I would personally choose orange color instead.

A mask, a suit of armor, a cape, a hood... He reminded me of Doctor Doom from Fantastic 4.
He does look a bit villainy.

3278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do the same scenario in 2018 ? on: April 25, 2021, 06:59:44 PM
i know that some news affect the market, but should we sell now in this panic ! or should we hold  Undecided
Definitely you should continue your holding because this is just FUD triggered correction and market certainly will bounce back from this collection. You may book profits right now but you may regret later on for your decision. If you really look for maximizing the chances on making good profits from bitcoin and avoiding later regrets then you should continue holding.

We are just in the mid of current bull market and as per yous expectation of the scenario of 2018 may happen but that will happen only in 2022 but we are still in 2021 and there are plenty of months are left in this year; it means there are plenty of bull market is yet to come.

I think people are too hyped up with high valuations and short-term thinking here, it's not time to short bitcoin yet.

In terms of the overall market, I believe we are still bullish and the uptrend is still in place. If we look at previous price action, we see that there is usually a one month consolidation before a breakout to new highs. We can still go lower (to $ 45 k - $ 46 k), but I expect a full recovery after that.
3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - 🔥 Minereum Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Airdrop is NOW LIVE! 🔥 on: April 25, 2021, 12:36:38 PM
Hi, I found a Minereum airdrop of 32000 coins on my wallet (Erc20 Token Wallet). Can I trade them even if there are high fees, or is this all a joke? Huh Tongue

No, not at all. The only thing you can do is upgrade your address to Level 2 or Level 3 to begin mining MNE tokens.
You will never be able to trade or transfer 32,000 MNE tokens that were airdropped, but only newly mined minted (mined) tokens.

Upgrading to level 3 enables transfer (unlike level 2 and 1 where transfers are blocked) and you can transfer up to your mined coins.

Make sure you read and understand everything here: https://minereum.com/whygenesis

Thanks to this platform, it's full of get-rich-quick opportunities!!! Grin

I beg to disagree though, this platform is not built to promote get rich quick scheme here.
