Litecoin gonna live longer than mtgox that's for sure.

If the staff of the Helsinki psych ward discover his laptop rpietila gonna get a Legal guardian in charge of his finances....

"I am currently detained in a psychiatric institution in Helsinki, because I need rest. My physical well-being is taken care of."
Edit: Do psych wards have wifi?  Smiley

That depends - currently I use my own equipment. But seriously guys, the whole idea is that this would be a period of rest for me. I have worked too hard, gotten irritated, and my behavior has not been up to the par. So now I will take a rest and mind my own business in calm quietness for days, weeks or months. They will tell me when I am clear to leave. Just forget about me, until I come public again. If everybody talks about me all the time, what difference does it even make whether I am here or not??  Roll Eyes

You have been set up buddy.

They already know, it's too late.

If you are holding a currency that is pegged to another currency why would you exchange it to one to which it is pegged to?

Oh wait...

The real challenge is the ignore button level. Wink

Non periodic solution looks like that:

3269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Statistics -- Difficulty vs. BTC price on: May 16, 2013, 05:51:12 PM

truth, but reality is a tad more complicated than that.
3270  Other / Off-topic / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin PEW PEW Node Summit on: May 16, 2013, 04:48:50 PM
So if this is being dumb with money, then your judgement is obfuscated by your personal preference. For me this works just fine, and I am quietly minding my own business and instruct you to do likewise.
Remind me what you did with an unsecured laptop, and how much in bitcoins was on it? And how you "proved" you had a huge bankroll?

Is it just digital money that you're a complete fool with, or are your past successes mostly attributable to luck and connections?

Has to be sheer luck, since I did not have connections when I started. Now I do.

Every now and then it is inevitable that someone would get so lucky...

Luck usually runs out when you end up in a mental institution.
3271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 16, 2013, 04:30:52 PM
Probably just a burn-out, which is not a thing to be ashamed of when you lose such an amount of money. In 1 or 2 months we will have the old rpetila back. In the meanwhile i wish him the best, if he reads this of course.

If you read this: Yes it's true there really is a goverment conspiracy against you. And your hospitalization is part of it.

3273  Economy / Speculation / Re: why no crash ? on: May 16, 2013, 02:14:59 PM
There are two things to consider here:

-) Negative feedback due to the difficulty of getting USD out of mtgox: People choose to buy BTC and withdraw them/move them to another exchange.
-) "Now more than ever" attitude of the True Believers: There is a limited amount of people actually buying more coins as long as the price doesn't crash into oblivion. alas: "The feds think they can stop us, HURR DURR, BUY BUY BUY!"
3274  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: btcd: a bitcoind alternative written in Go on: May 16, 2013, 01:47:19 PM
How long will it take for a functional release?

I myself am learning go and this will go a long way helping me. Thanks!
3275  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you don't need the money, and don't have the time, just stash your coin. on: May 16, 2013, 01:40:33 PM
I *always* need money.
3276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price will not crash due to MtGox crackdown on: May 15, 2013, 11:36:41 PM
price(can be manipulated) != value(is not same as price)
it is only in your brain wired  value = price

3 month ago price was @ $35 (bitcoin @ $50 looked like too expensive). And there was only few people buying @ $5 year ago :-)
price spiked @ $265 and dropped to $50 (do you feel the pain?, did not sold @ $260 and rebuy @$50 (no one did) ? ... those are only emotions, do you afraid than price will fall to $35 ? ... bitcoin fundamental value did not changed. Bitcoin did not lose any value, only big players changed the price). Do not take emotions into business.

Maybe tomorrow we are in single number again ! :-)

Since Bitcoin is pegged to the Dollar it's value is directly proportional to the price.

Water has value (no life without water). Price of water can change (from ZERO to INFINITY), but real value of water does not depends on price (if you have water then life will continue, if you have paper($) then you may not be able to create water) .
Using this interpretation Bitcoins have no value.

This is the first innovative coin in this wave imo.
3279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price will not crash due to MtGox crackdown on: May 15, 2013, 09:44:09 PM
This is a classical example of a negative feedback within a trend, it can never change the trend nor the outcome.

Bottom line is: There is strong support at 0
3280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 15, 2013, 08:43:12 PM
I seriously wonder how this is going to end up.

Because Bitcoin loves to troll us.

For once I think there is a good chance for the price to downtrend some more, that being said...

Spiked at $116, just saying.  Cheesy

A far shot from the 125 resistance, futile.
