3261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 26, 2021, 10:21:30 PM
If you'll ask me, there's no need to advertise the product anymore as it's already popular in the market, and I don't think advertisement alone could sustain the future of the PBA. Just like the NBA or any other type of sports, their biggest revenue came from the gate entrance, and since there's no crowd in the bubble, they'll continue to experience losses and their funds might not be enough in the long run.

What you are saying is obvious. Of course with the current pandemic, advertisement alone couldn't sustain the PBA but they were left with no choice.

And you will say there's no need for an advertisement lol. What a logic you have there just because the product is already popular in the market. You don't understand how useful it is especially now.

The biggest revenue came from the gate entrance? Disagree here. Totally different from the NBA where people really watch live. Didn't you know how poor gate entrance at every PBA conference was? Prior to the pandemic, live audiences aren't that much. We can only see a good gate entrance when Finals or if Ginebra is playing. That's why PBA is profiting most at TV exposures or Youtube. The more viewers, the better the ratings, the more ads they can put on their timeslot, the more they are being paid by the companies (they are even struggling on that part).

But yes, PBA will slowly depleted their savings if the pandemic situation here in the country won't change. Let's hope for the quick vaccine rollout here. Still, many people here don't want to be vaccinated.

Another news that gives chances not only for the Pro but also those who are aspiring to play outside and received good amount of money.

Well to be targeted by scouts, a player should be talented and skilled. Take note that PH players are imports to them so they are expecting good at these players, the same as how we treat and looking forward to foreign players as imports here.

In other words, few PH players are fit and qualified for the criteria. Even a PBA player wants to play either in Japan or Sokor, if his statistics here are not good, chances are low to be signed.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Best Gambling advice on: August 26, 2021, 02:26:36 PM

Just try to be responsible, as always, even you will have a hard time dealing with your gambling activity.

Losing, being wrecked, chasing all your losses etc. are common situations you will experience while doing gambling. I'd rather like to see all newbies experience it rather than to have perfect gambling so that they will understand the wrath of doing gambling. That's the time they will decide and realize if they will continue gambling or not.

The bottom line, any pointers and advice are useless if you don't try to become a responsible gambler.
3264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 26, 2021, 01:52:06 PM
After a good run from the Hawks last season I thought they won't even change anything. But this is good, they are upgrading in the coaching side instead of trading players.

Yes, that was a good move by the Hawks.

Instead of the roster revamped, the Hawks intend to stay with the same lineup they have last season. They have a good run last season and I think only a few will think that they will reach a Conference Finals or even pass the first round. A good decision to give their youngsters a chance to adjust.

Van Excel's experience as part of the development team of several teams to being an assistant coach will surely help the Hawks youngsters
3265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: August 26, 2021, 12:57:28 PM
Despite all the activities of sexy women in the casino they still prioritize professionalism in their work, that's what fascinates me about them.

It's because having a sexy image of a woman in the casino is already a common environment in a physical casino so no such thing as a rude act or act of lasciviousness by the customers and clients towards those women. It has no effect already on those who are always lurking in the casinos as their purpose is to win on their respective betting session.

I don't mean at 100% that there will be no case of inappropriate behaviour towards women but at least it's a rare case there as all people are professional.
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 26, 2021, 09:35:00 AM
I just wonder why people buying NFT artworks like cryptopunks. I am not against NFT and I love it. I actually own some NFT games accounts like CB, Axie, Dpets because I am earning from it.. But for NFT artworks can you tell me what is the benefits. And why some of the people buying it?

Self-preferences and some "hype" circulating around that NFT.

There are collectors who take their collecting stuff into digital. I don't know Cryptopunks that much but for example Razer and Coca-Cola, they have a large user -base that supports their stuff so regardless of either of these collections will have a good price in the future, they will just buy it no matter what.

Somehow it contributes to the popularity of NFT. Who knows that NFT art collections will be soon much more hype and profitable. For now, NFT games are the most hype because of play-to-earn features.
3267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 26, 2021, 09:03:05 AM
If teenagers place a bet on that game, I am afraid that sooner or later, they can become addicted people in gambling.

That is something we can't blame on Esports. Regardless of any situation, they will still be exposed to gambling no matter what.

ESports games aren't just the thing they will encounter in gambling but some of them might also follow sports and big leagues like NBA, NFL, Boxing, MMA, or their local leagues on which they also placing a bet. Teens nowadays are lurking on the internet so gambling is just the common activity they will face on the web. It will now depend on them if they will fall addicted to gambling or remain responsible.

Back when the internet is not that bloom, there are lots of gambling events here in our place about ESports (although the term Esports is not that popular). Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Starcraft, Broodwars and NBA 2K series are some of the popular ones. Even the Gran Turismo, NFS, Crash Bandicoot in Playstation 1 becomes a tournament too before.
3268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: August 26, 2021, 08:38:01 AM
I'm not sure why people are playing with ETH, tbh.

Not actually they are playing with ETH but there are people who hold ETH and then the time they now decide to gamble it by depositing it on gambling sites, they will face the horrible fees. They end up with no choice but to face the fees or not to play totally.

ETH fees are really a pain in the ass on some gamblers. The best move would be, like I read on some previous post here, depositing not by small amounts but rather a one time good and decent amount. And another option would be, they can choose to deal with one-time high fees by converting most of their ETH into a coin with low fees such as BNB, TRX then just decide to convert it every time they gamble. In that way, no need to face those high fees with ETH just to gamble.
3269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK 20% of the gambling venues are located at the poorest part of the country on: August 26, 2021, 08:11:56 AM
No, there are more bookmakers in poorer areas because the poor gamble more:

This makes sense.

That's what I pointed out too before. I'm even at a point of thinking that I don't consider these people as "poor" because regardless, they can still have some portion of their income to be used on gambling. The solid evidence is how casino owners benefiting from these areas meaning they aren't really poor.

I know addiction is involved here but I'm sure most people here are still responsible gamblers in the end.
3270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 26, 2021, 07:40:22 AM
Woodley might be tough, but this is a different ball game for him. But for sure this will be a good fight for Woodley as he will be given a chance to make money again and exposed Paul if he ever pulls an upset in this fight.

Agree. The odds make sense. Odds providers really see it that way.

Upset has a chance to happen but that was touch to expect. Gamblers might take a risk though if they think a lopsided result will happen. Woodley knows that he's behind so he will make sure he will try to stand close, by any chance, against Jake Paul. After all, he's the one to called out Paul to arrange the fight between them.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 26, 2021, 06:43:04 AM
maybe for another 5 years? Esports will be the main sports that will be conducted in Crypto gambling sites and traditional sports are now lessen their support and popularity because of being rigged .

The industry is no doubt growing and from the article I shared, the expected betting market of Esports is projected to exceed by $205B in 2027. The only downside of usual sports compare to ESports is, during the year-long pandemic, literally the majority of all sports are freeze unlike in Esports that can still be done even without the actual presence of all involved teams on the venue. I also don't see less support from sports due to rigging as that issue is now part of the sports since way back. Big sports leagues will surely come back again on their respective status once the pandemic completely ends.

I like ESports and actually playing it on as part of my game list but to think it will be the main sport for Crypto gambling sites within just 5 years is too much to expect.
3272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 26, 2021, 06:05:20 AM
If your problem will be about the patience, my problem will be on the bankroll. Looking at the attached image of the lottery ticket, it cost him $36. Spending $36 per day for lottery ticket is a huge amount for me obviously and it is not the amount I can afford to lose in single day since my monthly salary wont be able to cover it. I would not even dare to spend $15 per day for lottery ticket.

Not on per daily basis but twice a week. In every country or region, lottery doesn't have a daily draw for the same lottery type. Reading the article, the bettor won the Lotto 47 which the draw takes place every Wednesday and Saturday. However, still pricey and I can't afford to take the risk. I'm not sure though if the man is placing bets in any other lotteries. But if yes, it means, it's really possible he is spending a $36 per day bet.

My average spendings in a lottery are just about $5 to $10 per week so I salute that man and his patience got paid off. I'm also amazed that he rarely missed that draw for 30 years so it's not just the money but he really dedicates his precious time to bet on it even he's busy or got some errands to finished.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 26, 2021, 05:28:33 AM
Either Inoue vs Casimero or Casimero vs. Donaire is good. But I am honestly more excited to see Casimero vs Inoue. That would be more explosive. I'd definitely watch that fight and be entertained no matter who turns out the winner.

I'd rather see Donaire vs Casimero first. I like to see Casimero having another match first before entering the final stage which is dealing against Naoya Inoue. We didn't see Casimero at 100% during the fight with Rigo as the latter is always on defense and running mode. And for Donaire, he's no chance for a rematch against Inoue if he won't pass Casimero first to finished the unsettled business.

There will be more good impressions and possibly more recognition if Casimero will pass Donaire first. Winning against Donaire will create a bigger market too for Casimero.

Bottom line, the next match should be just between these 3. If Arum will spoil it and find other boxers instead, which I found there's a chance, we won't know.

The only question there is, is if the market on eSport betting will become as big or surpass the one on the traditional sports. and if it will, it is only a matter of when.

The market has already become big, far from before and I projected will be a lot big in the future. That's why ESports becomes the talk of the town, especially with the big prize pool in history, lots of sponsorship, big partnerships, and big plan for the future. Aside from the big events, there are also local events now organizing Esports events which also have a good prize pool.

Read here some awesome information on how's Esports market is expected to become big: Global Esports Betting Market Expected to Exceed $205 Billion By 2027

I really don't understand how someone could compare Stake with a sportsbook like nitrogensports?  Huh It's like comparing a professional team with an amateur one. This has nothing to do. On Stake you have live streams of NBA, MLB, UFC, many big soccer matches, etc., you have a live support available 24/7, you have very frequent give away bonuses and promotions, and you have a very clear and user friendly UI...

I don't see anything wrong there if the feedback was constructive. You can't do something about it as it was based on the user experience. Lurking in crypto sports betting gambling since 2015, I used NitrogenSports first as they are one of the popular before and I don't have any bad experience although, about the interface, Stake was more good. If you like Stake no need to make a wrong impression about Nitrogensports (even they have complaints at some cases) as everyone has a different experience.

As long as they are both good to their customers, that's way better for me. Smiley

Just want to share that the late Directbet is by far the best sports betting site for me. Their interface is layout is nothing compare to the good looks of some sites today but I like that smooth and minimal interface and no-account registration.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2020 caused a spike in gamlbing issues on: August 26, 2021, 12:34:09 AM
The solution I guess is to increase the number of helpline workers to manage those calls at the same time and there will be more of those that will handle those gamblers that are calling them.

But even with the good number of helpline workers (which I think their numbers are already good), in most cases, gamblers won't call them. They are currently in their comfort zone so no way they will seek help to save them from gambling even in reality, they need it. That's why the family or close person/friends is the key to helping them.

It's really up to the person how to deal with their gambling addiction. There are hardcore gamblers but still responsible for their activity outside gambling. That's why limiting them, especially watching sports they really like, is not a good solution to limit their gambling activity.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 26, 2021, 12:13:22 AM
Based on the article I read, PBA has lost 70 million pesos in the last bubble and they could no longer sustain another bubble, thankfully the captain ball of each team are willing to help with the expenses of this current bubble set up. If the situation of our country will not change after this season, I don't know if we will still see the PBA continue with a new season.

It was discussed before here that's why they wait for Metro Manila status to be a shift in GCQ so that they don't need a bubble setup anymore. However, it's unfortunate that the current conference is now again halted because of the number of cases.

Try to read that article again and I think Marcial said they can still afford to sustain a bubble setup for another 2 years*** if I remember it right. But part of the solution to somehow ease the expenses of PBA is that team owners will help them.

PBA does have a huge foundation and is backed up by big companies. SMC just for example is gaining huge benefits for their exposure in PBA. That's the reason why there are changing names in some of their teams like in the Purefoods franchise because the market is effective. Magnolia brand, SanMig Coffee, B-Meg, Star Hotshots products all get good sales when they put it as a team name in PBA alongside another way of advertisements.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 25, 2021, 11:58:04 PM
His stats have dropped because he is only playing with limited minutes, unlike the time when he was still with the Boston Celtics where he is part of the starters, actually a star in the team.

That's the reason why IT is not a valuable player now to consider by other teams. Even he will be signed by the Lakers, I doubt he can give any impact on them. He will still have that limited minutes. Take the example of Dwight Howard, he only played a minimal time a couple of seasons ago with the Lakers even he's still active and can be dominant in the paint. That's the Lakers system.

No offense for IT fans but don't expect him to explode if he is signed by the Lakers. It will be just a normal veteran signing. No big deal.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sports Gambling Websites on: August 25, 2021, 11:51:41 PM

Every sports betting site is best as long as they are maintaining their good reputation and supports towards their customer.

It will now be based on our own preferences on what site to choose. Something with good promotions, features, loyalty program, possible Rakeback, etc. But in my case, my priority is a famous and reputable one. Already tested and use lots of sports betting sites and all are good so I can't name who's the best to all of them as I didn't have any bad experience using them.

To name a few (based on my own experience), Stake, Sportsbet, NitrogenSports, Onehash (although not updated here if they still have sports betting).
3280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 25, 2021, 11:41:33 PM
So are there concrete news coming up with this potential match? Or are they still exchanging tirades here? Promoters sometimes are the bottleneck here as they negotiate the purses of their respective fighters. But it is good that they are gaining interest from the boxing fans. The more noise, the better for their ticket sales. Curious what odds we will get from here. But I am guessing, they will favor Inoue on this bout.

None at the moment. The speculation is by end of the year but I doubt it will happen given the current date and the amount of time need to arrange the fight, although who knows. Next year probably we can see some light as there will be enough time to arrange it. For now, just maybe making noise to market the fight.

Naoya Inoue is the sure heavy favorites here. A good opportunity for Casimero fans to take advantage of the underdog odds.
