Wow, it feel really good to read an entirely positive article about something bitcoin for a time.

oh, and I would've loved to visit room 77. It's really a shame I haven't been... only 3 hours by train to Berlin. I bet they're having a good party with the free shots.
Year me too. Getting drunk with some fellow bitcoiners would be a first timer for me. It would be an 11 hour ride for me though , but the train goes almost direct. Could have slept on the way back.

Thanks for explaination. So they only are connected to way more nodes than normal and so can notify them faster then the rest of the net if a new block came.
Correct. They probably also have a super fast campus internet connection.

scanning a QR code and paying in seconds still amazes me.
Year, that the really awesome thing about bitcoin. When I purchased something for the first time. I was like "What, wait. I have already paid yet!" The first purchase that goes as fast and easy as this it what gets you really hooked at Bitcoin, because in this moment you realise how superior it is.

No, blockchain assumes the miner is the IP that first transfers the block to them. So if the miner finds a block, its node transfers this block to all Nodes it is connected to and they do the same. If the miners node is directly connected to blockchain (pool nodes are very well connected) and transfers it to blockchain, then blockchain displays him as founder.
The ETHs node is connected to ~4000 other nodes and therefore it is directly connected to many miners and directly to blockchain.
So blockchain, doesn't actually know who the miner is.
Hope this explains it.
There is no purpose in doing this other than to support the Bitcoin network.

Don't worry I'm sure the transaction to BTC Jam will never become confirmed. So you are save to send it again.
But I have no Idea how that could happen. Interested in the answer and watching this thread.

It's Friday, and bitcoinfriday.com is down.
Yup. Hopefully to many visitors and not DDOSed. Edit: OK, not down but slow as hell.

Very easy made BTC. I would do it, but I'm currently not at home too.
Come on community, that's 5min (max) of work and you support a BTC business.

Yeay, Bitcoin Friday! Time to go shopping.

He might be promoting bitcoin but he sure seems to be holding good old ca$h!

Really? I really don't celebrate Christmas. Including no tree. I also never give Christmas presents. It is strange at first for people know you for the first Christmas, but if you stay strict you have to deal with it only one time.

Wow, I'm even worse then I thought. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fn12t.img-up.net%2FTruck4b4f0.jpg&t=663&c=F48qzhlAkB_3yg) But maybe you suffer from a heavy misguided taste and decide to take it?

Excellent Post, I really enjoyed reading this.
But more or less the same question as from blablahblah:
Isn't this at least the logical consequence of bitcoin?
Or isn't Bitcoin kind of a symptom that there already is such a movement?
But yes, if there official where something like this, count me in.

For what it's worth, I fully agree with MisteryMiner.
Also, proofing always depends on the person claiming something. Even discussing this is ridiculous.
I personally don't believe that ASICs are a Scam, but I wouldn't bet on it (= prepurchase) until there is proof of their existence.
But anyhow, there are already enough threads discussing BFL. Can we please make a point on this and go back to topic?
Thanks.

As Discordian I don't celebrate Christmas. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) The basic, Getting together with your closest and celebrating is nice, though. The rest is absolute annoying. Everything blinks and shines, this creepy music is everywhere. Commercials are giving their best at being manipulative, they are all like gift something expensive or you are a bad person. Also I can't hear radio in this time, I really hat "Last Christmas". What I really like are the Christmas markets, I don't know if you have that in USA. They are great. As every year i will spend two days of my holiday volunteering and selling stuff at our local UNICEF stand (I like this more than just giving money).

Awesome, nice to hear! I'll make a website for this, eventually.
I guess we're at 6, at least.
There is no way I'm going to miss that.
